Listen in on how reading the bible every day is changing my life. I am a husband to 1 & a father of 4 great children. My life is crazy and has zero time to waste. Taking time out of my day to spend time with God and meditate on His Word was always something I wanted to do but couldn't find time. I was reminded, that if it was important to me, I would MAKE time... So I did. Now I record how it has and is impacting my life in hopes you will do the same. Thanks for listening and connecting with me! https://www.facebook.com/dailychristianpodcast https://www.instagram.com/dailychristianpodcast/

I feel like we are very fortunate in our home to have gone through COVID-19 with relatively minor setbacks. My wife had tested positive for the virus but the results came back well after she started feeling better (took almost 2-weeks to get results).
I talk about fear in this podcast after seeing it mentioned in my reading (Romans 11) in a way you don't normally see scripture speak of fear.

The apostle Paul seems to just hit hard the Jews he is writing to in the book of Romans. They are missing something... it is faith.
This is a crazy time for our world, it is a scary time dealing with the virus. I think this will ultimately make the church stronger as we rethink how to fulfill our purpose in a different way (quarantined.)

I know we are not called to judge others as Jesus did not come to condemn or to judge but in reality if people I know have not given their life to Jesus then they stand condemned already. How do we help others see their own condemnation?
John 3:16-18
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."

Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.3 He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.

In the book of First Thessalonians we have our famous verse in 5:17 - "pray continually" or some translations say pray without ceasing. This is in the middle of his final warnings to his audience about living the life we are called to live.
There is no guarantee for tomorrow, today is the day to get your life pointed towards Christ and repent of the sinful life that you have lived.

I think if you have a vision of something big that God wants to accomplish through you it can be tough to take the first step. We read about Ahab today and when a prophet told him he was going to battle and the Lord would make him victorious, he wanted to know "how?" We see he trusted the Lord to make him victorious and he shows up to fight.

Here are my thoughts on that subject.

Fri, 26 Jul 2019 - 06min - 274 - I will take you back.
There is a song in this section of scripture that the lord had given to Moses that was designed to help the Israelites always remember what they Lord had done for them. It also shows that the Lord knew that they would turn from Him in the future and He still fulfilled His promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

There seems to be an almost endless list of things that the Israelites are to do and or not do when they enter into the land that the Lord promised them. There is one that stands out to me today in todays reading, maybe because it was noteworthy enough for Jesus to mention thousands of years later.

Israelites are about to enter the land that the Lord had promised them 40 years prior. He is now giving them instructions for when they enter and one of the items on the list is what to look for in a King.
It struck me as I read this how they were all intertwined. They will need a King with the right heart.
