- 267 - Overcoming errors in the last days part 2 | Sunday | 17th November 2024
Matthew 22:29
You err not knowing the scriptures and the power of God.
To go into error, you must have been deceived
1. Err - from “planaho” - to (properly, cause to) roam (from safety, truth, or virtue):--go astray, deceive, err, seduce, wander, be out of the way.
2. Deception has the same Greek meaning and word – and it means to cause to wander or roam from safety, truth or virtue”.

Matthew 22:29
You err not knowing the scriptures and the power of God.
So here a person goes into error when they are oblivious of 2 things:
what the scripture says
The power of God
This is Jesus’ response to those who were asking him if there would be marriages when we get to heaven. They painted a picture of a woman who got married to 6 men (brothers) and asked who her true husband would be in the resurrection.
The people asking these questions were religious - those who claim to have a handle on God - but they missed it - Jesus says they may be religious but they have gone into error.
Sun, 10 Nov 2024 - 54min - 265 - Faith Under Fire: What To Do During Trials and Temptations
Introduction
When life brings us trials and temptations, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and question our faith. These moments can challenge us, but they also present unique opportunities for spiritual growth and resilience. Faith under fire is an invitation to deepen our trust in God, grow in wisdom, and strengthen our character.
Sun, 03 Nov 2024 - 1h 00min - 264 - Sanctify for Success – Part 3 | Sunday Service 27 Oct 2024
To discuss the final part of this series, I want to review a most wonderful verse and use it to act as the foundation for today’s teaching.
1 Pet 2:9 AMP
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.
Here God is describing who you are and what you are called to be. He is describing your identity and your mission. No matter what your vocation may be, please remember this truth:
Your identity precedes your vocation.
Chosen – best of its kind Royal – kingly Consecrated – set apart, not common Special – in its class, not commonSun, 27 Oct 2024 - 1h 05min - 263 - Sanctify for Success – Part 2 | Know Your Why | Sunday Service 20 Oct 2024
Apply these truths to your life. Look at these examples and consider areas where you need to decide to sanctify (set yourself apart) for your purpose.
The Tale of Two Developers: Sarah and Mark
In a rapidly growing tech hub, two software developers—Sarah and Mark—began their careers at the same time. Both were passionate about coding, but their approaches to work and purpose diverged drastically over time.
Sun, 20 Oct 2024 - 52min - 262 - Sanctified for Success - How to Stand Out in A Competitive World
In a world where conformity is celebrated, standing out to be different requires you to be bold and
unfazed by the views and perceptions of others. Among what kills dreams and greatness is the desire for other people’s approval.
What would “they” say? “How would I be perceived? Etc are thoughts that kills originality. Our world is filled with it – celebrating mediocrity, conforming and group think but to stand-out from this norm is what God has called you out for.

Sun, 06 Oct 2024 - 58min - 260 - A worthy walk - Sunday Service - 29th September 2024
We said last week that dead works are those things done out of fear, or anything that we do to impress another man or gain the praise of men orworks done for personal gain or honour or works that appear good externally but that spring from a corrupt motive or done for the wrong reason or works done without any joy.
We said there are 3 steps to overcome dead works:
1) Know that you are already righteous so you don’t need to ever prove anything to God or others
2) Allow the blood of Jesus to cleanse your conscience from dead works
3) With a clean conscience, you can continue to walk in faith as that is the only walk of the believer.
So, today, I want to finish this series off by talking about the message titled “A worthy walk”
The main agenda behind the series is to lead us to the right way to walk before the Lord or work for the Lord.

- 258 - How Grace empowers good works | Sunday Service | 15th September 2024
Eph 2:8-10 TPT
reads:
8 For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ!
9 So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving.
10 We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny
he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!
So notice the key information from this text:
· Good works does not and can’t earn salvation
· We were saved to do good works

Face recognition used AI’s computer vision domain and machine learning to recognise your face. This is already being used for KYC validation by the banks. Would you consider it intrusive if this is adopted by the church?

Thoughts are unspoken words that have the same effect on our psyche as spoken words. The language of the heart can either be crystal clear or confused - if it is clear, we know what to do and get more done. However, if the language is confused,
we become like a person driving with a blurred vision. Confusion and frustration set in.
So, when we speak of a disciplined thought life, we are talking of how you ensure that the unspoken words of your mind are not confused or in tandem with God’s thoughts about you and that is what I want to address this morning.
Sun, 16 Jun 2024 - 55min - 246 - How to encourage yourself to get up when life throws a curve ball | Sunday Service | 09 June 2024
How did David encourage himself in the Lord? How did David draw strength from God?
He waited on the Lord! To wait is to “bind yourself” with God
Steps:
- Shift focus from the crisis to the crucified Christ. Remember God's character and word amid
the situation because God’s character does not change and His words uphold the universe.
- Seek direction from God on what to do next
- Strategise the action plan on how to act on what you have been shown
- Share your goodness with the world even when you are in pain. It is a seed that will always
come back to you and more.
- Remember God has helpers along the way.
- Remain a person of integrity. Don’t seek vengeance
- Act with the end in mind, holding a picture of victory.
- Celebrate God in all things and celebrate people who supported you in the journey.

Every time you consider the past, you put yourself in that same memory of the past.
How was Moses able to overcome all he faced while leading the children of Isreal out?
His focus was on God. Focus is a function of sight of the mind. A state of avoiding any distraction.
Heb 11:27 NIV says: By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.
What you give attention, to will rule your life.
You become what/who you behold

What do you see?
Have you ever found yourself in a dark room before and you were trying to look for an object that you assumed should be in the room? How do you go about searching for such? You grope, you will devolve to the organ of touch to find what you are looking for but suppose someone gives you a torch or flips on the light switch, you would be able to quickly scan the room to get what you are looking for.
This is the profound value of the organ of sight. When God uses the word “see”, He is not just referring to your physical eyes, He is referring to the eyes of your heart. It is what you see in your heart that determines how you act out your purpose.
Join us tomorrow @ 8:00 am as we explain how God helps us to see even when we think we have lost some time. A broken crayon can still colour. May God enlighten the eyes of your heart to see the immeasurable impact your life was created to have.

Sun, 19 May 2024 - 53min - 242 - How to take advantage of your advantages | 12-05-2024 | Davies Bamigboye | Sunday Service
The greatest advantage that the believer has is the God Advantage - the fact that God is with us, for us, in us and all around us - this is what gives the believer boldness in life.
No matter what life throws at you, never ever lose your focus on your advantage.
In Deut 20:1-8, the Bible describes the law of war which paraphrased says: When you go to war, dont be afraid because your God is with you to give you victory. The reason God is with you, for you, in you and all around you is to give you victory.
In Christ Jesus, you already won the victory so face live with the mindset of an overcomer. God's got this!

Sun, 05 May 2024 - 1h 00min - 240 - When The Brook Dries Up Pt 4
Sometimes God works secretly and behind the scenes, but He will reveal His work for us when the time is right.” Just because we don’t see anything happening doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. The God of behind the scenes is busy polishing things, sprucing up corners of our life story, cleaning up messes and organizing the next chapter of our lives. He does more than we know. Our job is to praise Him while we are waiting. His job is to set up the scene and get everything ready. He has a plan. Let’s trust and believe that He knows what He is doing.
Join us tomorrow for the final sermon on “when the brook dries up” because one of the most amazing discoveries I got from this series is that “there are no chance encounters with God. There are people in your life today that are there for reasons that you may never know until several years later”
Steaming 8:00am on https://live.thelightshouse.org/ and on YouTube and Facebook.

When The Brook Dries Up - Pt 2
Now this study will look at the next part in chapter 17:8-16 when the brook dries up
7 After a while the brook dried up because there was no rain in the land.
8 And the word of the Lord came to him:
9 Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.
10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. When he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her, Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11 As she was going to get it, he called to her and said, Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.
12 And she said, As the Lord your God lives, I have not a loaf baked but only a handful of meal in the jar and a little oil in the bottle. See, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and bake it for me and my son, that we may eat it—and die.
13 Elijah said to her, Fear not; go and do as you have said. But make me a little cake of [it] first and bring it to me, and afterward prepare some for yourself and your son.
14 For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: The jar of meal shall not waste away or the bottle of oil fail until the day that the Lord sends rain on the earth.
15 She did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days.
16 The jar of meal was not spent nor did the bottle of oil fail, according to the word which the Lord spoke through Elijah.
Where to next Lord?
1 Kings 17:7 After a while the brook dried up because there was no rain in the land.
Notice the brook drying up is a function of natural phenomenon under a spiritual command. Eliha shut up rain for 3 years and naturally brook has to dry up if the natural cycle of sustenance did not happen.
Rain is needed to plant crops, grow them and mature them. Without rain, there would not be sustenance.
I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.—Deuteronomy 11:14
1 Kings 17:8 And the word of the Lord came to him:
Notice when the Word of the Lord came to him? It was after the brook dried up. This word was for a specific instruction on the direction that should be taken.
When you find yourself in a transitory path, it is important to seek and expect the direction that God would have you take.
1 Kings 17:9 Go at once to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food.
So the brook dried up and Elijah sat still until the word of the Lord came to him. God called him to go to Zarephath which is in Sidon. So Elijah was sent to Zarephath, which means the 'place of refining or smelting furnace'. It is interesting that the first place Elijah was sent to (Cherith) meant a 'cutting or to cut off' and from there he is sent to a 'smelting furnace or refining'.
From this you can see that God is working in the character of His prophet.
But also notice a few things:
⦁ God told him to go at once or to arise and go. It is a time bound action and notice also what he was meant to do when he gets there? Dwell there or stay there. The same he had a dwelling at Cherith, he must now have a dwelling at Zarepath.
⦁ God commanded a widow to feed Elijah at Zarepath.
So a bit of georgraphy to see what God did (See map)
From Brook Cherith to Zarepath is about 80miles apart which is about 130km apart – that is like driving for a distance of about 2 hours if you drive at 70km/hr. If you were to walk this distance (as I would expect Elijah to have done), that would take him about 26hours. It is unlikely that Elijah will work 24hours non-stop so let’s us assume he walked 12 hours everyday, he will need to have travelled for at least 2.5 days to get to Zarepath. So, what did Elijah eat for the 2days during that journey to an unknown land?
Let that question settle in your heart – and relate it to your own peculiar situation:
How does God take care of me when I am in a holden pattern between his promises for my life and my current reality?
How does God take care of me when I am building a multi-million pound business but creditors are tearing the gates down?
How does God take care of me when I know I am healed but the symptoms persist?
How does God take care of me when my strength fails but I still have dreams burning deep in my heart?
How does God take care of me when at 60, I am still at a loss for what to do but I know I was made for more?
And so on…
The Bible never explained how God fed Elijah over those days he walked towards the promise – with nothing but trust in the God who never fails.
I bring you the same encouragement that if God has shown you where you are going or given you an instruction or revealed to you how things are going to pan out, then He will take care of you whilst you are in the holden pattern of life.
May God, who is our Sustainer, sustains you in every season of your life in Jesus name.
What made this story very peculiar what where and who God sent Elijah to:
⦁ God sent him to a city of pagans to be fed by the same people whose daughter corrupted Ahab (Israel’s king) which brought the curse on the nation of Israel.
⦁ What does this mean for you? That no matter what the economy of the nation in which you find yourself may be corrupted by lust, greed and all sorts of vices, God will find a way to take care of you.
⦁ God sent Elijah to a gentile widow. A widow by definition has no husband to protect her. During the times of Elijah, women are largely domesticated – so if a woman loses her husband, she becomes vulnerable but it is unto this woman that God sent Elijah to. Not only that her people and the Israelites are not the best of friends. Jews did not, in those days, associate with Gentiles. But God is actually calling him there and is saying 'look, even though this doesn't appear to be normal, I am going to provide for you in this area'
⦁ At times, God’s help to you may come from uncommon quarters. Learn to be grateful for the provision, not how it comes.
Why was Elijah sent to this woman?
Is there anything about this woman that made God visit her specially during this trying period?
Jesus gave us a hint:
Luke 4:22-30 AMP
22 And [as He continued on] they all were speaking well of Him, and were in awe and were wondering about the words of grace which were coming from His lips; and they were saying, “Is this not Joseph’s son?” 23 So He said to them, “You will no doubt quote this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal Yourself! Whatever [miracles] that we heard were done [by You] in Capernaum, do here in Your hometown as well.’” 24 Then He said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, no prophet is welcome in his hometown. 25 But in truth I say to you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was closed up for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land; 26 and yet Elijah was not sent [by the Lord] to a single one of them, but only to Zarephath in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. 27 And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and not one of them was cleansed [by being healed] except Naaman the Syrian.” 28 As they heard these things [about God’s grace to these two Gentiles], the people in the synagogue were filled with a great rage; 29 and they got up and drove Him out of the city, and led Him to the crest of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to hurl Him down the cliff. 30 But passing [miraculously] through the crowd, He went on His way.
This widow’s heart believed God even though she lived among unbelievers. There were those widows in Israel who did not believe God, Elijah was not sent to them.
What does this have to do with you?
Under the New Covenant, God is always with us and He loves us and favours us but we must believe Him when He leads. We must trust Him.
The other thing God is saying here is that sometimes a door will close, just like the brook drying up - that is a closed door. However another door will always open. When the brook dried God provided someone else to make provision. You don't expect God to act or work in this way, but Elijah was called to trust what God had planned.
Have you seen the unseen hand of God?
1 Kings 17:10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, "Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?"
They believe it was about 80 miles for Elijah to travel from the brook to this place. It doesn't say how long it took or how he went, either on foot or by donkey, but it is a fair way to travel. But I love scripture because you see the providence of God and the hand of the unseen God everywhere. So he arose and went to Zarephath and came to the gate of the city where a widow was gathering sticks. At the very precise moment that he arrived at the gate, here is the woman that God has commanded to make provision for him. All through scripture you see the providence of God.
Here I want you to go with me and use your imagination.
Imagine this woman a week before this day checking what she has left of her flour and oil and knowing help was not coming from anywhere assessed how long her food supply will last for. At that moment in Cherith, Elijah brook was running dry but he was still being fed by ravens.
Now, on the day the brook dried and God said to Elijah to arise and go to Zarepath (assume it is 2-3 days journey), the widow had her ration also dwindling but able to feed only 2 of them but look at her face as she resigned to the impeding death but look into her heart as she cried to the God of Israel whom she did not know but believed can help her. Imagine God impressing on her the need to be compassionate and share what she has with someone who will show up in 3 days time. Imagine God leading her out to pick woods the exact same time that Elijah shows up.
Just imagine how God’s providence works!
May your blessing and that which God has given to you that is in the hands of someone else locate you this month in Jesus name!
Say with me:
May I be at the right place, at the right time to meet the right people and my destiny helpers and do amazing feats in Jesus name!
Another really good example of providence is Abraham when he wanted to seek a wife for Isaac. Abraham said to his servant 'I want you to go to my own household and find a wife for my son.' The servant went and when he reached the well he prayed 'Lord, if this is the one, I will ask her for a drink and if she says 'yes, but I will water your camels as well', that will be the one'. He hadn't even finished praying and the Bible says that 'out she came'.
God is always working above and beyond what we can believe and this is the providence of God.
He arranges things so perfectly without us actually knowing what is going on. When you look at your own life you can see God's hand of providence in many ways. You can have divine appointments through the people that you meet or the places that you go to. God's hand is actually behind it.
My example: How I met the Oladipos
Only God could order all of those things. He knows, he acts, and that is providence. And it's all through scripture. Quite often there is providence in our lives and we don't always recognise it. Sometimes there are big incidents where we do, but the unseen hand of God is always in the things that we are doing.

When God introduced Himself to Moses in Ex 34:6, He says this: ”The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.“
We know that God is love. He does not just show love. He is love personified - and His love is unfailing. What do you think about when you hear something is “unfailing”? That which no matter what happens can never fail! It is like the way an anchor holds the ship at shore. Steady. Solid. Dependable.
This truth was reiterated in Psalm 103:6
”The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.“
If your job is on the line, God’s unfailing love will make new pathways for you.
If the doctor’s report scares you, God’s unfailing love will heal you and turn things around.
If your mistakes of the past haunt you, God’s unfailing love will deny the past the power to hurt you.
In this month of March, I pray that you experience the unfailing love of God no matter what may be going on in the world.
Welcome to March
Sun, 03 Mar 2024 - 56min - 232 - No divorce EVER from His love - 2 | Sunday Service 25 Feb 2024
Romans 8:38-39 says: For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There are 10 things that were mentioned above that could (if possible) put a wedge between us and God's love for us and the conclusion is "nothing and no-one has the capacity, ability, power, effrontery etc to to sunder, sever, disunite, tear apart, disconnect, cut off, disengage, or withdraw us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

No divorce ever from His Love - Promo
As I was walking towards my car recently, I heard God said in my heart: “when my people go through tribulations, they start to wonder if I still love them but what did Romans 8:35 say?
35 Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?
When or if you ever you go through any of these events, don't allow the devil, your flesh or your friends and family member say to you that it is the proof that God no longer loves you.
God's love is unlimited, unfathomable, un-crushable. Ha! God’s love is with you and IN you — and nothing will ever be able to disconnect you from this awesome, powerful, all-consuming love!

Sun, 18 Feb 2024 - 57min - 230 - Avoid status trap (reframe series) - You are God's Delight! | Sunday Service 11 Feb 2024
Why was Jesus committed to fulfilling His purpose on the earth? Why did He have to endure the agony, shame and pain of the death only reserved for malefactors? Why did He even become human and endure the travesty of living on the earth? Why was Jesus vulnerable and allowed Himself to be nursed by the same people He created?
Heb. 12:2 gives us a hint: It was because His heart was focused on the joy set before Him by God.
What was the joy set before Jesus? The Greek word used in this text is “cara” and it means “calm delight” which also means that which causes an occasion for joy or of person who are one's joy. The joy of knowing you would be His for all eternity is what made Jesus endure the pain! You are the joy set before Jesus. You are the calm delight of Jesus! Ponder that!
Heb 12:2 TPT says: We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focussed on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
Reminisce over the most joyful day of your life. Play back the scene in your mind. Fill the emotions again then multiply that by infinity – then you will begin to have an inkling about how much joy you bring the Father.
Join us on https://live.thelightshouse.org/ as we teach a message that will demolish low self-worth and the need to chase validation from another human being. You are the Delight of Jesus. You are the joy of Jesus. You are of God, His Beloved.

In developing an abundance mindset, one of the key steps to avoid scarcity is the knowledge and believe that your life is enveloped in the hands of a loving God.
Here is a statement that is worth writing down:
It is impossible to feel lack when you know that your life is enveloped by the hands of a loving God.
In today’s message, I will endeavour to show you how abundance and God’ love tie together.
Sun, 04 Feb 2024 - 59min - 228 - REFRAME YOUR THOUGHT FROM SCARCITY TO ABUNDANCE - Pt 4. (5 ways to avoid the status trap) | Sunday Service 28 Jan 2024
Last week, we spoke about the danger of chasing status as this has the potential of building a sense of scarcity in us where we feel we are not at par with some people. The whole exclusivity list is a scarcity game that we should not play.
When you fee like you don’t belong in a club, special class etc, and you tied your self worth to it, if you are not careful, two things will happen:
- One – you could run around trying to get into that exclusive club thinking you would feel good inside or be joyful when you get there but status never brings true wealth or inner joy. You may get it and realise you need more. How do I know that? Suppose you buy a brand new car- the car of your dream, the first few days you may feel so good about it but after a while, you get used to it and you want more. In essence, you are left a feeling of dissatisfaction. It is the same with chasing status. Jesus said this:
- Two – you may feel excluded and automatically feels like those who are in the so called “exclusive club” are special, they are having the best life you could only dream of and then what happens to you? You feel resentful of your own life and you start comparing your life or people in your life to that “standard” and thus become ungrateful. You may even resent these people in the “exclusive” list because you think they have cornered the world’s resources – and it is this thinking that breeds scarcity
Sun, 28 Jan 2024 - 53min - 227 - REFRAME YOUR THOUGHT FROM SCARCITY TO ABUNDANCE - Pt 3. (Avoiding the Status Trap) | Sunday Service 14 Jan 2024
Everytime we shift our attention from the reality of who God has declared us to be, we automatically embrace a mindset of shame, nakedness and of not being good enough.
Every time we seek to get validation from the things which God created in order for us to claim the God status, we automatically embrace the mindset of scarcity and of not good enough.
Sun, 21 Jan 2024 - 55min - 226 - 10 practical ways to reframe your thinking for abundance in 2024 Pt2 | Sunday Service 14 Jan 2024
Giving is a practice of abundance. It tells your mind, “I have enough to spare that I can give this to someone else.” Whether you’re giving a generous tip or donating to a cause you care about or bringing cookies to a neighbour, giving helps override the scarcity mindset’s inclination to hoard the good things in life.

Here is a question that God asked us at this morning’s prayers and it is still ringing in my heart!
What do you see? (Jer 1:11-13)
What do you see? A powerful question God is asking you on what you are focussing on this year. Do you see abundance or scarcity? Do you see divine health or sickness? Do you see fear or faith?
What do you see? He asks again. Here is a popular quote of mine: You can’t feature in a future you have not imagined.
When Abraham first got to the land God gave him, whilst the land looked like nothing. God asked him to look around and He said: “as far as your eyes can see, I will give to you”.
God is greater than your vision. God is asking you to recover sight (anablepo) and see BIG. He is able to exceed your wildest imagination (Eph3:20)

Have you ever been unexpectedly called in to meet with your boss, and then spent the dreadful time before your meeting conjuring up why you might be in trouble? Has your imagination led you to create scenarios of how you might be fired, and what your reaction
would be? Have you ever imagined the worst-case scenario in some situations where the future seemed unknown to you?
This is your imagination feeding on the fear of the worst thing happening. This may have come from movies we have watched or even life's experiences but how does God wants us to to live? To remember that fear is not our future. God is - and He has conquered every tomorrow before we get there.
Psalm 139: 5 offers a comforting prose for every believer when the terrain of life looks unfamiliar:
You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me!
The greatest antidote to fear is to know ane be consciously aware of the love and presence of God.

This week I had a dream where God showed me the picture of a tree that is beautiful with evergreen leaves and fruits along its branches. As I looked, I could see through the trunk to see the roots of this tree tapping down into the river bed below. I could see the spirals of nutrients as they flow through the trunk from the root up to the stem and the leaves. It was a fascinating sight. The tree looked luxurious, magnificent and undisturbed and here is what I heard God said to me:
“you see this tree is connected to the source from which it was made from. It does not have to struggle for nutrients or fail to produce fruit. Why? Because it was connected to its source. Everything that connects to its source functions optimally because that thing draws all it needs from its source”.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So faith only comes as you hear and keep hearing the word of God. The continuous hearing of the Word makes your mind set on the Word – your mind takes on the frame/set of the Word. But it is not just any Word of God. To have an ownership mindset, your mind must be set based on the finished work of Jesus. It is about what Jesus has done. It can not be because it is in the Bible.
Sun, 15 Oct 2023 - 50min - 201 - All things are yours (How to develop and ownership mindset) | Sunday Service 1st Oct 2023
The Bible teaches that our mind can be shaped by the structure of that which we allow to pour into us and that whatever is allowed to pour into our mind, ultimately determines the reality we are going to experience.
God is saying to us that the way we will not be shaped or fashioned to the way the world thinks and acts is by renewing our mind.
Transformation comes in the place of mind-renewal
As the mind is renewed, it develops into a mindset akin to what it is predominantly exposed to.

A believer can experience the same failure pattern of his parents but it does not mean it is generational curse. In order to understand how this is possible, let me explain to you 3 ways in which we can adopt the behaviours of our parents without knowing it:
- Verbal programming (what did you hear when you are growing up?)
- Modelling (what did you seewhen you are growing up?)
- Meaning attached to specific events (what did you experience when you were young?)
Sun, 24 Sep 2023 - 59min - 197 - The anatomy of a curse | Sunday Service 17/09/2023
Proverbs 26:2 says Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, So the curse without cause does not come and alight [on the undeserving]. This means that a curse without the basis for it (without a cause) shall never stand. The first time the word "curse" was mentioned, it was directed to the devil and that speaks volume - that God issues a curse over anything that seeks to undermine you or that which seeks to hold you captive.
A curse is the opposite of a blessing and both are issued by words. As a believer, a curse is legally not allowed to operate in your life. Why? Because Gal 3:13 says Christ has redeemed you from every curse. As a child of God, Jesus Christ says He has given you the Holy Spirit. The Aramaic word for the Holy Spirit is paraqleta, which is taken from two root words: (1) praq, “to end, finish, or to save,” and (2) lyta, which means “the curse.” What a beautiful word picture: the Holy Spirit comes to end the work of the curse (of sin) in our lives and to save us from its every effect! Paraqleta means “a redeemer who ends the curse.”
This is the reason why a curse of any form is not allowed legally to operate in your life though you can experience its influence if you surrender yourself to deception and lying vanities.
Join us tomorrow at 8:00AM as we stream "The Anatomy of a Curse" on live.thelightshouse.org and we will seek to answer these 3 questions:
- Can a believer be cursed?
- Can a believer experience a curse?
- Is it OK to believe in generational curse?
Blessings
Sun, 17 Sep 2023 - 56min - 196 - The great deception and how to overcome it Pt2| Sunday Service 03/09/2023
A lie is opposite of the truth.
A lie is an assertion that is believed to be false, typically used with the purpose of deceiving or misleading someone. The practice of communicating lies is called lying. A person who communicates a lie may be termed a liar. Lies can be interpreted as deliberately false statements or misleading statements.
Jesus called Satan, the devil, a murderer from the beginning. But in Genesis, in the beginning, Satan didn’t pull a knife on Eve. He didn’t throw her off a cliff. He didn’t twist a vine around her neck and strangle her. He didn’t hit her over the head with a rock. That would have been too overt.
Sun, 10 Sep 2023 - 50min - 195 - The great deception and how to overcome it | Sunday Service 03/09/2023
When questioned, Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed the serpent. The result was a separation from God (a spiritual death), eviction from the garden, and eventual physical death of the carnal body. The result of the lie was a murder of the truth, and the murder of the spiritual covenant relation they had with God, and the murder of the body.
Because someone who believes a lie, takes action based upon that mistaken belief, and because the consequences of those actions can, and often do result in death, any one who lies to you doesn’t care whether you live or die.

Today, I want to explore a topic titled “defiant faith”
The word “defiant” means full of or showing a disposition to challenge, resist, or fight : full of or showing defiance : bold, impudent. defiant rebels. a defiant refusal.
What is defiant faith? It is a faith that refuses to give in to the fear of the enemy. It is a faith that speaks boldly of the power of God to overcome the adversary no matter what we see. It is a faith that boasts in the goodness of God.

The faith you believed came by hearing the Word of God or the promises of God in the specific matter but that faith will be contended for by the world, the enemy, unbelieving family members and friends, religious people, pop culture, pseudo-science, media distractions, purveyors of lies etc
If you are believing God for a miracle in your life or a breakthrough for your marriage or healing for your loved ones or whatever it is you have believed God for, it is crucial to know how to “fight” to lay hold of the winner’s prize.
How do you fight the good fight of faith? The Bible says, it is by laying hold of eternal life. How can you lay hold something that is already yours? Did Jesus not say in John 10:28-30 that:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one. Jesus is saying here that your eternal life is guaranteed. Your future in Christ is secured if you have made Him your Lord and Saviour.

In Christ, God has already given us abundant and long life. But we still have to receive (partake of) His gift by faith. It is through the promises (words) of God that we gain the knowledge of God's will and so obtain the faith we need to receive His life. Thus as we put His Word first, we come to the knowledge that God has given us all we need, and this gives us the confidence to come to Him and partake (receive).

Grace is the ever willingness of God to show… love, mercy, power, favour and all good things He has for us.

Grace can’t be worked for
Grace must be received.
Grace is the escalator that takes us to higher heights of life
Grace is the elevator that moves us quickly to places we can’t get to ourselves.

John 1:16 says of the fullness of Jesus, we have all received. Every believer has already received the fullness of God’s grace. That fullness is no one other person than the Lord Jesus. We are 100% full with God’s grace but the Bible also teaches that God gives more grace to us.
How is it possible to have more of what you are already full of? Is that a contradictory statement? No. It is not. Even though God’s grace is always 100% available for you, you can experience a different dimensions of that if you learn this one truth: how to walk in humility!
Humility is not
· Having a low self esteem
· Self-deprecating attitude
· Sense of unworthiness
· Being subservient
· Being a “door-mat”
· allowing people to walk all over you.

- 175 - Resurrection proves our justification - Sunday Service 09/04/2023
The proof of your sins being forgiven is the death of Jesus
The proof of your being justified is the resurrection of Jesus
The proof of your sins being forgiven is the death of Jesus
When you are in doubt, you only need to ask the questions:
Did Jesus die for me on that cross? Yes/No? - Yes
Did I give my life to Jesus and have made Him my Lord and saviour? Yes/No – Yes
If these 2 questions get the answers “Yes” – then your sins are forgiven.
Heb 9:26 TPT says: for that would mean he must suffer repeatedly ever since the fall of the world. But now he has appeared at the fulfillment of the ages to abolish sin once and for all by the sacrifice of himself!

When you want to genuinely connect with someone, create a bond by talking about your shared goals (i.e., "Let's talk about what we're going to do next to solve this," "We'll get through this").
Remember these sayings:
People don’t care about what you know until they know how much you care
People may not remember what you say but they will remember how you made them feel – especially in their trying moments!

- 172 - Godfidence - the secret weapon of vision - Sunday Service 19/03/2023
Godfidence = God + Confidence
God: God in this text is actually Lord and it means “Yahweh” or “Jehovah” – the God who keeps covenant – and because God keeps covenant, He can be trusted to always come through. So, when your vision seemed to flail or you can find a pathway, remember God keeps covenant.
Confidence: the quality of being certain of your abilities or of having trust in people, plans, or the future.
Godfidence: The supernatural assurance you have in the abilities of the covenant keeping God in standing by His plans for your life so much so that you have no fear that your future will come to fruition in due season.

A way to serve people is through mentoring.
What Is Mentoring? Mentoring is a relationship between two people with the goal of professional and personal development. The "mentor" is usually an experienced individual who shares knowledge, experience, and advice with a less experienced person, or "mentee."
Some benefits of mentoring are:
• Mentors offer advice - Having a mentor means that the mentee can gain advice. Having someone to talk to, offer advice and feedback is a crucial part of decision-making, mentors have been there and have the t-shirt so know exactly what advice to share with their mentees to ensure they thrive and reach their goals.
• Skill development - Mentors are a great way to upskill. Mentors can help their mentees enhance any skills they already obtain or work alongside them to help them develop new skills to meet their goals.
• Greater professional development - Mentors know the steps their mentees need to take, to get where they want to be. Working with the mentor allows the mentee to gain insider advice on how they can reach their goal and help minimise any challenges they may come across.
• Improved networking opportunities - Mentors are typically individuals who have been in their industry for a long time and have built up a large list of networking connections throughout their career. Mentors can help mentees gain new connections by introducing them to their network, which can improve the mentee's chance of gaining new opportunities.
• - Mentors often make their mentees feel motivated and inspired to accomplish their goals. Having someone to encourage them and provide them with the right support is highly motivational.Sun, 05 Mar 2023 - 1h 11min - 169 - Here comes the dreamer - Pt3 - Sunday Service 26/02/2023
God never blesses slothfulness or laziness. If Joseph had been slothful and lazy, he could not have gotten promoted. Notice the Lord was with Joseph – the same way the Lord is always with you but notice prosperity comes on what you do. If you have nothing for God to manifest His blessings on, then £1000 * 0 will always be zero.

• A vision for your life will keep you grounded and ensures you mix with the right crowd
• A vison will help you to stay away from distraction. Every distraction is engineered to delay you in making progress towards your future. A vision keeps you focussed on the end goal.
• Essentially, you are moving from “here” to a place called “there” but How would you know what “there” looks like, if you don’t have a vision for it?
• You must identify, acknowledge and honour your purpose. You must pursue your purpose with passion and enthusiasm.
• Your vision is the “why” behind everything you do.
