Celebration Christian Church Punta Cana
Hello and welcome to Celebration Christian Church Punta Cana! We are located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Pastor Jonathan Autrey will be bringing you the fundamental principles of what the bible says on how to truly live and lead a Christian life. Everyone has their opinion of how we should live, but the question is, “What does the Bible say?” It is only through His word that we can truly find the answers. So, open your mind and your heart, and let God guide you through his Word. In the name of Jesus, let us praise the Lord, Amen!
- 21 - Episode 21: So You Think You Need
We think that we need so many things. Most of us come from cultures where we have been spoiled to think that we need so much, but how much do we truly need? What will bring us true fulfillment? Have we reached a point in our lives where desperation is the norm?
On this week’s episode of the Celebration Christian Church Punta Cana podcast Pastor Jonathan Autrey unpacks the profound story from John chapter 5, verses 1 through 16. The narrative unfolds at the Pool of Bethesda, a place surrounded by broken individuals seeking resolution to their ailments. As we explore the biblical passage, we begin to understand more about the concept of brokenness, emphasizing that recognizing our broken state is the first step toward finding our Savior.
Drawing parallels to real-life struggles, we address the tendency to seek solutions in things that do not truly fulfill our needs. Whether it's dealing with depression, broken relationships, or other challenges,
we can see a relatable perspective on the human condition. So now it is time to reflect on and ask, “Where am I seeking solutions in times of need. Am I relying on material possessions for fulfillment?” In this world, human inclination finds solace in material things, even if they may not satisfy the deeper yearnings within. So here, the Pool of Bethesda becomes a symbol of the world's offerings and the competitive nature of modern-day pursuits, but in the end, all we truly need is to believe in Jesus who is the true source of fulfillment beyond material possessions.

Fri, 08 Mar 2024 - 29min - 20 - Episode 20: The Co-Mission Commission
In this episode, Pastor Jonathan Autrey shares insightful reflections on the dynamics of successful ministry and the "secret sauce" that fuels it—consistent commitment. The central theme revolves around the "Co-Mission Commission," emphasizing the importance of the Great Commission in Christian ministry. Referencing Matthew 28:16-20, he encourages listeners to rekindle their passion for the Great Commission, which is not to just show up once a week, but to make disciples, and engage in various aspects of ministry. The discussion delves into the disciples' emotional journey post-Jesus' resurrection, highlighting the significance of worship and acknowledging the presence of doubt even among those closest to Jesus. Remember the words of Jesus: 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’

The world will make you question God, but God is a sovereign God, an unquestionable God. The world will have you think that you are enough to justify and glorify your sin, however we can be sure that this is not the way.

Thu, 25 Jan 2024 - 30min - 14 - Episode 14 - Forgive Because You Have Been Forgiven
In this podcast episode titled "Forgive Because You Have Been Forgiven," Pastor Jonathan Autrey explores the concept of forgiveness from a Christian perspective. The episode emphasizes the importance of self-forgiveness, explaining that individuals need forgiveness for themselves more than the other person needs it for them. We should reflect on our understanding of forgiveness.
The 4 things that get in the way of our forgiving:
1. Pride
2. Bitterness
3. Self-righteous
4. Shame
We all require forgiveness and should extend it to others in turn. There is a profound connection between personal forgiveness, God's grace and mercy, and the transformative power of comprehending and practicing forgiveness in our daily lives.
Important verses:
Matthew 6:12 - "And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."
This verse is part of the Lord's Prayer, where Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray. In this particular line, Jesus instructs his followers to ask for forgiveness for their sins or debts, and to do so in the same manner that they have forgiven others who have wronged them. It suggests that believers should extend forgiveness to others who have wronged them, just as they seek forgiveness from God.
Ephesians 1:7 - "In him [Jesus] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace."
This verse emphasizes the central Christian belief that through Jesus Christ, believers have redemption and forgiveness of sins. The phrase "in him" refers to Jesus, indicating that it is through him that believers receive these spiritual blessings. The verse specifically mentions "redemption through his blood," highlighting the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross as the means by which believers are redeemed from the consequences of sin. It also emphasizes that the forgiveness of sins is in accordance with the riches of God's grace, underscoring that forgiveness is not something earned or deserved but rather a result of God's abundant and unmerited favor.
Romans 3:10 - "As it is written: 'There is no one righteous, not even one.'"
This verse is part of a larger passage in the book of Romans where the apostle Paul is discussing the universal sinfulness of humanity and the need for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. It emphasizes the idea that no one is truly righteous on their own, and all people are in need of God's grace and forgiveness.

Wed, 25 Oct 2023 - 36min - 13 - Episode 13 - Greater Than Part 3 : Integrity Over Imitation
Integrity Over Imitation: Embracing Authenticity in a World of Deceit
In this podcast episode, Pastor Jonathan Autrey delves into the significance of integrity and the dangers of imitation. The message begins by defining integrity as doing the right thing even when no one is watching and emphasizes that integrity is of greater importance than imitation, a quality that seems to be lost in many individuals today.
The story of Ananias and Sephira, from Acts chapter 5, is discussed as an example of the consequences of lacking integrity. The focus is not on the money they deceived others about, but on the fact that they never needed to lie or deceive in the first place. Their dishonesty was not only directed towards others, but ultimately towards God.
Fulfilling commitments is at the core of integrity, and if individuals cannot be people of their word, then what sets them apart from the rest of the world? To be a disciple means striving to be more like Christ, with a focus on genuine acts rather than superficial appearances. Good intentions are not enough. Intentions must be followed by actions to make a tangible difference. Actions are portrayed as the product of a decided and committed heart.
For in Matthew 16:26, it states, “What profit is there in gaining the world while losing one's own soul,” suggesting that instead of living to please others, individuals should focus on pleasing God, as He is the only one who truly knows and accepts them.
Remember, the consequences of wrongdoing are not diminished simply because others around you are doing it. For imitation at any degree is a personal decision that can lead to personal demise.
We are not here to be served; we are here to serve, and it is only through integrity and authenticity that we are truly surrendering to what God desires. So, have a look in the mirror and ask yourself… “Am I living an authentic life of integrity as God would want me to?”

Wed, 25 Oct 2023 - 40min - 12 - Episode 12 - Greater Than Part 2: Faith Over Fear
🌟 Unlocking God's Promises: Overcoming Fear and Building Faith 🙏
📖 Scripture: Matthew 14:22-27
📚 "Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. 'It's a ghost,' they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: 'Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.'"
🔒 Don't let Fear Hold You Back from God's Promises! 😇
🌊 Life can feel like a stormy sea, tossing us around with fear, doubt, and uncertainty, but just like the disciples in the boat, we need to remember that Jesus is always present, even when He seems far away. Let's dive into these powerful lessons from Matthew 14:22-27:
💪 "We need to get in the boat." The journey of faith starts with taking a step of obedience. Trust that God's plans are greater than our fears and insecurities.
👀 "Just because he's not in the boat doesn't mean he's not there." Sometimes, we may not immediately see or understand God's presence or His workings in our lives. Have faith and trust that He is working behind the scenes, even when it feels like He is silent.
⏰ "Realize his timing is perfect." God's timing is often different from ours. Instead of asking for an easier path, let's pray for strength and perseverance to navigate through challenges, knowing that His timing is always perfect.
🙌 "What troubles have you despaired and now can look back on?" Reflect on past difficulties that you have overcome with God's protection and guidance. It's through these experiences that we grow in our faith and recognize His faithfulness.
💪 "Stop waiting on God's explanation." Our faith is tested when we face the unknown. Instead of demanding immediate answers, let's surrender to God's plan and trust that He will provide clarity and understanding in His perfect timing.
🙏 "Your fear can't get in the way of your faith." Fear can be a stumbling block that hinders us from experiencing the fullness of God's blessings. Choose to place your trust in Him, even when fear tries to consume you.
🕊️ "Jesus will be there when you need Him most." In the midst of life's storms, remember that Jesus is with you. He will never abandon you. When you feel overwhelmed, call upon His name, and He will calm the raging seas of your heart.
🔓 "Your lack of faith could be what's keeping you from all He has for you." Step out in faith, knowing that God has incredible plans and blessings in store for your life. Embrace His promises with unwavering trust and watch how He transforms your journey.
🙌 Let's encourage one another to overcome fear, build our faith, and unlock God's promises! Share your experiences below and let's inspire each other to walk boldly on this incredible journey of faith. 🌈✨

Tue, 23 May 2023 - 43min - 11 - Episode 11 - Greater Than Part 1: Mission Over Method
Episode 11: Greater Than Part 1: Mission Over Method
In today’s message, we embark on a captivating exploration of our mission as disciples of Christ in the series Greater Than - Part 1: Mission over Method.
In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 28, and the book of Acts, chapter 1, verse 8, we find the fundamental purpose behind Jesus' earthly ministry and his final instructions to his disciples before ascending to heaven. His mission was clear: to reveal to his closest followers that they too were called to a mission—a mission to make disciples and share the life-changing message of salvation with all nations.
But what exactly does it mean to be a disciple? How do we embrace this transformative role and fulfill Jesus' commission in our daily lives? These are the questions we seek to answer today.
Throughout history, individuals have been drawn to Jesus, captivated by his teachings, his love, and the power of his miracles. Yet, Jesus didn't intend for his discipleship to end with the twelve apostles who walked by his side. He desired an expanding community of believers who would continue his work, spreading his word, and multiplying disciples in their own right.
Being a disciple means more than simply following Jesus; it means actively engaging in the mission he entrusted to us. It means embodying his teachings, living out his love, and sharing the transformative message of salvation with others. Each one of us has a role to play in this great commission.
So, who are you spiritually mentoring today? Are you actively involved in the discipleship process, pouring into the lives of others and guiding them on their own faith journey? Jesus' call to make disciples is not a suggestion; it is a vital part of our purpose as followers of Christ. This episode invites you to reflect on your own discipleship journey and consider the impact you can make on others.
Growing a church isn't merely about numbers or programs—it's about living out the mission entrusted to us. By making disciples, we cultivate a vibrant community of believers who, in turn, inspire and guide others in their spiritual growth.
So, join us as we embark on this enlightening journey and discover how the mission of Jesus shapes our lives and the world around us.

Tue, 16 May 2023 - 45min - 10 - Episode 10 - Bearing the Cross
In this message, we celebrate the hope of salvation through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His sacrifice on the cross gives us the ultimate victory over sin and death. However, let's also remember that following Jesus isn't always easy. Let us remember what Jesus went through, the pain and torture that he endured, to give us our salvation, our hope for eternal life.
Many of our brothers and sisters around the world suffer persecution because of their faith. Many children suffer pains that they do not deserve; many people are unjustly discriminated against. Today let's lift up in prayer those who are persecuted every day and strive to live boldly for Christ, even in the face of opposition. May this Easter message fill us with hope and courage to stand firm in our faith.

Mon, 08 May 2023 - 25min - 9 - Episode 9 - Disciplines of Spirituality
We need to understand today that if we desire to be people that are godly, who practice spirituality, then there are certain disciplines that are involved in that, and in today’s message, Pastor Jonathan Autrey is going to be drawing from a text that he believes is one of the best texts that we can use that actually explains what these disciplines of a spiritual person are. They are described by Paul in a letter written to Timothy in 1 Timothy Chapter 4: 11-16

Welcome to Celebration Christian Church!
Episode 8: Limits Part 4
“Don’t Limit the Gifts”
How do you limit yourself and God through your treasures? This is the last ‘T’ on how we put limits on ourselves and on God. In the past 3 weeks we looked at how we put limits on Time – Tribulations – Talents and today, Treasures. We are all given treasures, but we are merely stewards of our treasures as it all comes from God. Tithing and giving offerings won’t make you rich, but God does promise that He will supply all your needs. Are you using your treasures in a way that furthers God’s glory and God’s kingdom? Giving starts with obedience and grace. Giving is part of your worship. We are stewards and administrators of all God has given us. We must listen and be obedient to what God wants us to do, as well as be responsible as nothing is ours and everything is His.

Thu, 16 Mar 2023 - 43min - 7 - Episode 7 - Limits Part 3
Welcome to Celebration Christian Church! This week’s message is part 3 of the series Limits.
How much time are we really truly giving to God? Where have we set up limits that have stopped us from truly experiencing everything that God has in store for us? Last week we continued talking about limits, and how we face tribulations. Today we're talking about a third thing where we sometimes limit God and that is with our talents. If you'll notice all of these things all of these items start with a ‘T’ - Time - Tribulation - Talents
All of us are talented. God’s word tells us that we all possess talents. Romans Chapter 12: 4-7 talks about how we are the body of Christ and how God has made each and every one of us different for a specific role in this body of Christ, so that we can operate as a whole. Enjoy this week’s message… Don’t Limit Your Talents.

Thu, 09 Mar 2023 - 30min - 6 - Episode 6 - Limits Part 2
Welcome to Celebration Christian Church!
This week’s message is part 2 of the series Limits. We are not exempt from the troubles of life just because we're Christians, just because we testify that God lives in us, just because we have accepted Him into our lives. This doesn't mean that we are free from the tribulations and trials. God is going to do His will He's going to do it through us, but because of the tribulations and trials that we sometimes face we will limit God; we will stop God from doing great things. Why do you make God prove to us on a constant basis? When the tribulations rolled in we know who to go to which is the greatest security any of us could ever have.
Psalms 37:5 from the mouth of David says, “Commit that way unto the Lord trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass.” Proverbs 3:5 and 6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean on unto thy own understanding and all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.” It's easier said than done, but if you're going through tribulations, if you're going through trials, if you're going through that test period in your life, turn it over to God. He will not fail you. You can trust him but turn your tribulations over to him don't let the tribulations of life limit you.

Welcome to Celebration Christian Church!
This week’s message is about limits, and the limits that we put on ourselves. Pastor Jonathan expresses his thoughts through the word on limits from the aspect of time. Time is precious. It is the one thing we cannot recover or get back. Are you using your time to serve the Lord? Are you spending time with God every day? Is he a priority in your life, not only in your mind, but in your heart and your actions? If your time here on Earth was to end today, would you be ready and would you be able to say that you lived your life in the service of the Lord? Make sure you find time to spend in God’s word and God’s work every day.

Today's message is entitled Successful Christian Living. If you had to paint a picture in your mind right now, what does successful Christian living look like to you? Sometimes we forget the foundations and the basics of what it means to be a Christian. Fri, 27 Jan 2023 - 43min - 3 - Episode 3 - Proper Perspective Part 3
Welcome to Celebration Christian Church!
Today is the last part of the series Proper Perspective, and the message comes from Judges Chapter 7. Pastor Jonathan tells the story of Gideon and the three hundred, showing how this applies to our proper perspective, showing how we can have a better outlook for the coming year, and how God can use us in our personal lives and in our church to do amazing things. Our thoughts at times will limit God's infinite possibilities. What gets in the way of God doing the great things He's put us in? Nothing more than the breaks that we put on it. This is a powerful message to remind us that we needn’t fear or worry when God calls us to do something, because He will always make possible that which seems impossible.

Thu, 26 Jan 2023 - 40min - 2 - Episode 2 - Proper Perspective Part 2
Welcome to Celebration Christian Church!
Today is part 2 of the series Proper Perspective, and the message is entitled control your thoughts control. There are really two types of people; those people that always see the glass half full and those that always see the glass half empty. Who are you? Now you know your DNA might tell you you're a certain person, but as a Christian, God expects something else of you. He expects us to be people of the glass half full, fully confident that one day that glass is going be completely filled because he's going to fill it. So, today we're going to talk about how we can control our thoughts. We need to meditate on what we think about; you really need to ponder and meditate on what you're giving your time to when it comes to your thoughts. What are your dominating thoughts, and how might they need to change to ensure you are living the way God means for you to live?

Welcome to Celebration Christian Church!
Today Pastor Jonathan Autrey starts the series with his message on Proper Perspective. He will talk about how your perspective in this new year can literally set the tone for the rest of the year. Inspired by Chad Moore of Sun Valley Church in California, and after hearing this message from Chad, God put it on his heart to share it with others. He starts with the book of Numbers Chapter 13.
God bless you, and thank you for listening!
