This film stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael. The story is hilarious and touching, and the world is beautiful... She must take a job at a bathhouse for the spirits in order to find a way to free both herself and her parents. This film is widely thought to be one of the greatest films of all time, and for good reason. It is a thoughtfully crafted movie with stunning visuals... But Is Spirited Away Good?

This week, we close out Joaquin Phoenix month by reviewing the 100% historically accurate Ridley Scott film - Napoleon! Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby, and Tahar Rahim, this film follows the French leader Napoleon Bonaparte's rise and fall, as well as his relationship with Empress Josaphine. The film has received generally positive reviews, however, it has come under fire (haha a war pun) for its historical inaccuracies. But... Is Napoleon Good?

And we are talking about the film here. We are not entering into a debate about whether the actual Napoleon Bonaparte was a good person with pure intentions for the French People. That would just be silly.

Aaron and Bryce Dessner did the music, and this really excited Hunter because of their previous collaborations with other musicians he likes. This film follows an uncle and his nephew who are brought together by unforeseen circumstances and learn to coexist and bond, while untangling their own troubles. It is a joy to watch and we think you will enjoy it. But... Is C'mon C'mon Good?

This week we finish off Spooky Season by discussing Stanley Kubrick's rendition of The Shining! Starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Scatman Crothers, and Danny Lloyd, this film is loosely based on Stephen King's 1977 novel. There are numerous differences, however, and it is all but confirmed that Kubrick brought his own vision to King's backdrop. Jack Nicholson portrays Jack Torrance, a writer who takes a job to watch after a hotel during the off-season for 5 months. He brings his family and when everyone else leaves, things start to get FREAKY. Jack begins the slow descent into madness while his wife and child are just trying to stay alive and stay sane. The level of detailed analysis that people have done on this film over the past 43 years is truly something to behold, and there is undoubtedly a lot to discuss... But Is The Shining Good?

Starring John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney, this film was proclaimed by Edwards to be "Apocalypse Now meets Blade Runner," which we think may be a bit of a stretch. Set in the future with a war raging between America and Artificial Intelligence, the movie follows Joshua Taylor (John David Washington), some sort of ex-secret agent who is pulled back into the conflict that really messed him up 5 years ago. He has to find some sort of weapon and there aren't many details that we can give beyond this point without spoilerizing the film, so we are going to cut it off here. But... Is The Creator Good?

Dick's 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?', this film follows Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), who is tasked with finding rogue synthetic humans (also known as Replicants) who have escaped from a space colony and returned to earth. And of all places, they go to Los Angeles. This film explores religious, existential, and humanistic themes and raises a lot of questions for the viewer. This week we tackle James Gunn's newest (and last) entry in the MCU - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3! A highly emotional character-based film, this movie picks up where *checks notes* the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special left off. Featuring a star-studded -- almost to the point of feeling bloated -- cast, GOTG3 delivers on all the goofs, gags, and guffaws one comes to expect from a James Gunn entry. A refreshing (wink) if not unpolished film, this does feel like a return to form for the MCU. But with James Gunn departing to head the new DCU, and with this being the first serviceable film to come out of Marvel Studios in the recent past, it is hard to say that this gets the MCU back on track. Nevertheless, this film will deliver on laughs and emotions for the general viewer. But... Is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Good?

He gets pulled back into a world of assassins and unleashes the inner remorseless killing machine of his past. A return to action films for Reeves, he carries the film with his energy and mythic performance. But… Is John Wick Good? 

No, not morally. We are asking if the movie is good. Why would you even think we meant morally, he KILLS people.

Based on a 2018 novel of the same name, which in turn is based on true events at the Manitoba Colony in Bolivia, Women Talking closely follows a group of women in an isolated Mennonite community who have been the victims of both physical and psychological abuse. While the men are away, they tell the women that they have 48 hours to either forgive their abusers, or leave the colony. This film is an act of female imagination. Deliberate, uncompromising, and tough-minded, this film will challenge its viewer. But… Is Women Talking Good?

This week we dive into the newest MCU release - Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. After a 20 minute opening sequence of classic broken-family failures in communication, Scott Lang and company find themselves somehow stuck in the quantum realm. Oh no, how ever will they get out?! This film is messy from start to finish - an amalgamation of dialogue, characters, and set pieces that just don't seem to belong with one another. And yet, fans continue to line up in droves to be the first to see the newest installment. 

Let us be Frank for a moment (normally we are Hunter and Zach). While the source material is nearly endless, the shelf life of the longest-running comic movie series may be reaching its' end. Just like the Pied Piper led rats through the streets, are we destined to dance like marionettes, swaying to the symphony of cinematic mediocrity? Or, to put it another way - But Is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Good?

This film features an entire civilization of creatures that will make you second guess precisely what your Aunt Ethel means when she says that she "loves cats." Disgusting, Aunt Ethel. Each little gremlin is a narcissist who needs you to know exactly why they are the prettiest, most talented abomination of them all. There is one, much older and eerily familiar creature (Aunt Ethel, is that you?) that chooses which one of the creatures is harvested and repurposed. But... Is Cats Good?

Directed by Martin McDonagh, The Banshees of Inisherin follows Pádraic, who didn't think he was rowing with his best mate Colm, but Colm started ignoring him, so maybe they are rowing after all. This film covers the full breadth of human emotion, beginning as a rather docile, dull affair, and culminating into something possibly more allegorical in its' rage and disobedience. But...
