I am a retired Baby Boomer living in a small rural town in NE Ohio. My goal is to remind my community of all the good things that we still have even though we have lost most of the jobs and businesses in our town. Some of my podcasts will be education or informative. Some will be success stories of the many grassroots programs we have going for us. I like the phrase "Gee, I didn't know that" and hope that you say that at least once while listening to Claybrook Chats with Barb. Thank you and Happy Trails!
- 66 - Stories of our past- Everyday Life
Barb shares stories about the how our ancestors lived and modernized the town. There are stories about the local telephone company, post office, creation of fire department, banking, the local electric and water plants, and everyone's favorite the big annual fairs. They had to resolve real life problems such as no sanitation, no laws, saloons, guns, mud streets, no fire department, just to name of a few.
