Bush. The changes in the world are tectonic, thanks to the Sam Altman types who really think it's all just a game, but a prison planet - cashless and inescapable - is coming soon. Headline Day with Mary brings a lot to talk about as we head into the Summer season. What will the warmer months bring, "more or less"? Water is becoming scarcer in some places, and with that farming issues which never occur in a vacuum, but cause a domino effect of crop issues and human misery. Climate change? Geoengineering? Are Christians turning a blind eye to what amounts as "influencers" in the pulpit? We also discuss false gospels and the apostasy that goes along with such a carnal mindset. Another topic of the day is a tyrannical agenda spreading around the globe and how the elitist deadlines to rule us all are looming ever larger. Why does 2025 figure prominently in their agenda?  While it's all on God's time, nevertheless we know they have been emboldened since 2020 - and who knows what events might trigger the next phase of control. How late is it? Very.

Mary Danielsen looks at yet another aspect of how multinational corporations and their "better living through science" mindset has continued to wreak havoc on the world. As if the origins of the inorganic chemical industry didn't bring enough grief - from 1854 right on up to Pfizer's Cov19 jab - they won't rest until they control the world's ability to produce enough food. It's amazing to consider the grace of God in providing for a world of billions - and all the food that is produced to accomplish just that. And yet the food is not unadulterated, as seen in the rising cost of keeping people healthy that seems to coincide with mass produced food. How did we get here? Monsanto is its name, now Bayer -  the company that gave us Zyklon-B gas for use in Nazi camps. It's a sin-sick world and today we connect some dots. "Big Farm" is here to stay. We may be in for much more terror at the hands of those who attend America's "institutions of higher learning" who have no frame of reference for Mideast politics, let alone the biblical foundation for Israel and the piece of land they have been given by God.

How do we get them to understand that it's all designed to destroy kids' hearts and minds? Is it a case of "at least I'm not on drugs, Mom" kind of reasoning? With the recent eclipse mania, and an entire nation looking at the same thing at the same time, with the attending hype by professing Christians - well, there is a recipe for mass delusion. We look at the 5 core essentials of deception: question truth, misrepresent truth, contradict truth, focus on motives, and deconstruct language. The believer has to be wide awake to keep from being deceived in these times.

We will talk about religious zeal without knowledge and the numbness of heart and soul that results in false hope and being inoculated to the truth.  Mike was a devout Roman Catholic for over 30 years, but that changed in 1981 while attending an evangelical seminar when he realized the Bible is the supreme authority for knowing truth. Proclaiming the Gospel has developed many resources to equip and encourage Christians to be effective witnesses to Roman Catholics.

Combine all that with the other "birth pangs" which are all seemingly converging within a single generation. According to Jesus, these signs of the times would signal the end of the current age. It surely seems some things - no, all things -  are in the "winding down" stage on different levels. Pete helps us understand the times in relation to the nations of the earth and how God is maneuvering things into place.

Mary Danielsen chats with Don Shenk, Executive Director for The Tide Radio Ministry. In addition to lecturing in the classroom at Ekuphileni Bible Institute, he served as Academic Dean, Director of Student Ministries, and also developed and implemented a manual skills training program to enable rural pastors to minister bi-vocationally. Through twenty eight years living in Zimbabwe, and numerous visits to Africa, Eastern Europe and India as a ministry administrator and resource person for church conferences and leadership training events, Don has acquired a wealth of international, cross cultural ministry experience. As the world becomes more and more of a global village, Don’s greatest passion is to reach people for Jesus Christ and to bring them into the Church. The harvest is ripe; the workers are few.

We will look at some of the ways this can and will happen at an increasingly rapid rate. Are we willing to tell people that they "have the wrong Jesus" and explain what that means? It's not just the cults, such as Mormonism, that have the wrong Jesus.

Mary Danielsen welcomes back bible and prophecy scholar Don Stewart about some headlines you may not have heard regarding Israel. We also take a look at the promise of the land. Kings and Kingdoms, tribes and plundering hordes throughout time have sought land and possessions;  every gentile nation has warred and defended land but they have all faded into history and others have taken their place. Only Israel has an eternal promise from God Himself. Refugees have wandered after wars and assimilated into new homelands, yet the Palestinian people have been awarded "refugee" status for 3 generations now, thanks to the UN. There's a war on, alright: for the truth. Don's website has loads of content to bring us up to speed on issues that affect our worldview.

Last year alone, 6.2 million children were reached through "Christmas Party Clubs" facilitated by hundreds of thousands of teachers throughout the world with a burden for our kids. CEF was founded in 1937 and is the largest evangelistic ministry to children in the world. News broadcasts are filled with the stories of yet another war in the Middle East. Brutal Islamic terrorists from the Gaza Strip have raped, murdered, and kidnapped innocent Jewish civilians living peacefully in Israel. Media pundits and college professors claim that Israel is responsible, calling the Jewish state an illegal occupier of the "Land of Palestine." Mary Danielsen and  Islamic expert Usama Dakdok will be looking at lies about the Middle East that have been around so long, it takes some pretty serious deprogramming even for the church to do a 180 about such important perspectives. What is the actual history of this vital piece of contested real estate? Who does the Promised Land belong to? We will explore several key issues such as: Lies that students are taught about Israel and "Palestine"; the people who live there now; and what the bible teaches about it all. And we can't leave off the source of the deeply held hatred that has existed there for millennia. Truth is truth, and it must never change with the generations.

We welcomeJB Hixson back as the year winds down. JB will lend his considerable insights to this year as we review month-by-month. What were the events that shaped the year, and what fell by the wayside as other stories took center stage? What were some of the trends - and downward trajectories - of the moral issues of the day? From the Ukraine story, to the Pride month telethon and drag events; from the Abraham Accords to the Gaza war, there are things we can glean as we head into December and the annual (excess) consumer spending season. While there is usually not much to the headlines during the upcoming "holiday pause", we find ourselves wondering if this be the last normal year we ever see in terms of living our lives as westerners who are definitely in denial. Weingarten is president of the 2nd largest teachers' union in the nation (American Federation of Teachers). Also on the docket today is the school choice lawsuit in Wisconsin; an update on the firebombing of the WFC's office in Madison 18 months ago; the Ohio abortion referendum of November, and the satanic "holiday" tree in Ashwaubenon.

Today, Scott Schara visits with Pastor Matt Trewhella of Mercy Seat Church. They discuss how the church started as an assembly and has become a pastor delivering a weekly sermon. How did this happen? There were many different attacks, but our desire for a king, is one of the roots of the problem. Why do we want a king? Because then we don’t need to be accountable. Matt drills down how good teaching involves practical applications. In that light, we discuss the improper application of Romans 13 and 14 in the church today. Finally, we talk about the practical application of the Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates, Matt’s book written on the topic. Matt demonstrates precisely how to fight the tyranny we are experiencing today.

Don Veinot and Ron Henzel talk to Mary Danielsen about the fallout from the Bill Gothard teachings of the 80s and 90s. Having clearly imploded from aberrant teaching and immoral behaviour,  it came to the fore in the recent documentary, "Shiny Happy People" which brought shame to the cause of Christ in a much larger public context. The children who were raised in it seem to be drifting toward deconstruct mode regarding their faith; some who wish to hang on to their faith have a long road of disentanglement ahead. So is there anything to be gained by exposing it today? What exactly was the ignition spark that brought this legalistic belief system into evangelical families in the first place? Cults - and legalists - are not just limited to extra-curricular doorbell ringers but they can and are in the midst of the church doing untold damage.

Their work, A Matter of Basic Principles, recently updated and re-released, is a difficult read but Gothard's influence on evangelicalism must be seen for what it is, an absolute tragedy that serves as a cautionary tale to the church.

He is the author of 21 books, most of which are in-depth studies of God's Word, for the equipping of the saints. He worked as a social worker and a pastor for 16 years and now pastors full time in the church he planted, along with serving on the New York State Chaplaincy Task Force. Pastor Claude has a heart to see Christians fearlessly witness and not just when it's convenient, but in times of suffering and hostility to the gospel - and to be a light wherever we find ourselves, uncompromising and unashamed of the gospel.

Moody Center, talks to Mary Danielsen about balancing politics with the Great Commission and what it means to find our identity in Christ. More and more, Christians are allowing politics to shape their worldview and the practices of the church, causing divisions among the brethren. There may come a time that we need to ask ourselves if we have become disciples of a particular political tribe rather than disciples of Christ - at the very least measurable in the amount of time we spend on either.

In his thoughtful article, "Render to God what is God's: Reflecting Christ in Politics", James says, "When God's people take up causes, we run the risk of those causes distorting our vision of God. We run the risk of justifying our pursuit of the cause by making the cause an idol and tying God to it. When this happens, we no longer act as if we believe that His ways are beyond our ways, or that His thoughts are beyond our thoughts. God conforms to us. We then determine how the problems we face must be solved and God no longer directs. Today, Crash Connell and guest Scott Schara, Grace’s dad, discuss the breaking news – the first Medical Battery claim, in decades, will be heard at a jury trial.  A victory in this case will open the floodgates for others to obtain justice, but more importantly to stop the behavior.  What this case means:

* Medical malpractice state statutory protection no longer applies when doctors commit crimes without the patient’s knowledge
* Medical malpractice insurance protection also no longer applies
* The statute of limitations on wrongful death claims is increased substantially
* Intentional torts facilitate punitive damages, so attorneys would be willing to take wrongful death cases on contingency

So many things have changed, and there are people being born and raised and mired in cultural changes that are significantly more challenging than previous generations. What is unique to these young people? What are they fearful of? Are they interested in spiritual matters?  Many believe they don't know how to conduct meaningful relationships which cannot bode well for future marriages and parenting. And yet, every generation needs truth; they need unconditional love; they need a Saviour. Helping parents navigate the differentials is a task of the utmost importance and Jason is there with a well-thought out guide.

Mary Danielsen takes a look at Halloween and Headlines today. Should Christians celebrate Halloween? It depends on who you ask, but what truly matters is the approach parents take to make their decision on it. "I loved it as a child" does not serve the believer in Christ who must learn that having a Christian worldview requires filtering every decision through the lens of Scripture. Like all matters of conscience, there are no laws - but there certainly should be biblical sense and sensibilities involved. Current headlines are also in the mix, because while it's hard to keep up, we can at least take a shot at trying. Come let us reason together and add to our understanding of the times.
