  • 18 - 18: Julie's Story: Learning to Heal More Than Just the Physical, Embracing Unexpected Gifts and Exploring the Link Between Childhood Trauma and Chronic Illness

Hello and welcome to the 100% Healing Podcast. This is where we explore the journey of forgetting to remembering who you truly are within the gift of chronic illness.

In today’s episode, psychologist Julie Monday joins us as she shares her harrowing and beautiful journey. She tells the story of her unexpected diagnosis of MS and how it seemed to have come out of nowhere. She draws the link between childhood trauma and how the messaging she received as a little girl is undoubtedly correlated to the path that led to illness. She shares how she was really only able to begin truly healing once she started to lean into what lies beyond the physical.

Julie’s vulnerability and wisdom as she shares her story left us with a feeling of hope and a deep trust that this path is always, undoubtedly for us. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did and that you share it with anyone who may be in the beginning stages of their own healing journey from chronic illness.

Thank you for joining us today as we continue to explore what it means to be in the process of 100% healing. You are loved unconditionally and we are so very glad that you're here.

  • 17 - 17: Eunice's Story: Trauma, Community and The Healing Power of Storytelling

Hello and welcome to the 100% Healing Podcast. This is where we explore the journey of forgetting to remembering who you truly are within the gift of chronic illness.

Today, Eunice Brownlee joins us as we continue to talk about what healing means to each of us. She vulnerably shares her story of what it was like going though the court systems with her young daughter, who was a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her father. She talks about what healing looked like after the court cases ended… and how long and winding the road to where they are now has been.

In this episode, we also chat about how we believe that trauma, in any form, can manifest in the physical. Eunice shares some of her own health struggles and how she believes they were impacted by all that she has been through. On the flip side of this, we also chat about the healing power of community and how telling our stories is one of the most empowering things we can do for our healing.

Join us for an episode filled with lots of beautiful wisdom from an incredible woman …not to mention all the laughs.

Thank you for joining us today as we continue to explore what it means to be in the process of 100% healing. You are loved unconditionally and we are so very glad that you're here.
