A small family homestead in Northern California where we made the impossible possible. We moved from the busy Silicon Valley California the heart of tech world to the rural community of Northern California. On a limited income we have now bought our 3 acres of land with 2 homes communal showing others and ourselves how to live off the land as much as possible; but , moreover be just as back to the basics as possible. We live simply I work as an Emergency Room nurse in the heart of the COVID 19 crisis facing death on a daily basis while trying to maintain my sanity amongst the chaos!

    OK I may not be Susie homemaker but I sure do try… My adventure with raspberries has been a three-year process. I have 36T post with multiple different types of raspberries, mulberries, and blackberries. Who knew that soil type is so important and trellising them and pruning them and what time is the right time to plant If you’re a woman like me you jump in full force without even knowing what to do well I’ve learned that is not doing me any justice… I lost berries and lost money and now I’ve learned. The pH of soil is very important when planting berries, trellising berries is very important because they grow wild like other things that need to be trimmed need I say more, LOL. Take a listen Hope you guys miss me

    A quick and dirty how to make some farmer cheese! And the most important how to declare your Homestead super easy little bit of commentary about my life in a little break in between because I had to chase my kids down but I left it all real uncut version of my life here at the Homestead! Do you wanna make me proud there in the city I show you how to grab some raw milk from Whole Foods and make a 15 minute farmer cheese to bring to your little cocktail party and blow everyone socks off and say look at what I learned from a homesteader! FARMER CHEESE. Two quarts of raw milk cook until just before it boils. add 1/4 c of a code lemon or vinegar. Let sit then strain in cheese cloth. The less u strain the softer the cheese!
