- 80 - Romanticize and Catastrophize in Dating: What’s the next step
Those stuck in dating patterns that don’t seem to bring them to a more desired outcome might find themselves doing this: Romanticizing and catastrophizing. What do we mean by that? There tends to be a sort of anxious jumping to conclusions when people see their dating prospects. That anxious outcome tends to look like everything is so amazing and wonderful; or “Oh my gosh, I can’t believe how bad that went I am going to run.” An anxious mind’s fight or flight mechanisms are quite powerful and often result in people becoming convinced that their thinking error is true. In this episode, we discuss ways to short-circuit that thinking error. We also talk about wenises and face knees. You won’t want to miss that. Join Barbie, Steve, Nick and Dating Coach Kristin Sokol for another episode of your favorite dating podcast.

Sometimes the challenges that pop up in a relationship aren’t about one or both people, but how you relate to each other. In this episode we have on guest Michelle Pomeroy from Diagonal House. Michelle is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist out of Sandy, Utah. Her insights can help you to ask questions of current or past relationships that will help you to learn.
