Cork business appeals for stolen tools
In the early hours of Tuesday morning 15th October, several pieces of equipment pivotal to a Cork business were taken from the companies van near the Shandon Street area of Cork City. Following an immediate investigation by Watercourse Road Garda Station, one of the items has since been recovered.
Hugh Power of West Cork based Hydro Survey made an appeal this afternoon on C103. The company is now seeking assistance from the public to assist in the recovery of the other items, and are willing to offer a comprehensive cash reward to anyone who can return one or both of these items in working condition or provide information that leads to the recovery of same.
The equipment is specialised to their specific surveying methods making them worthless for resale. It is however vital to them in the day to day running of their operations.
One of the items is an orange and black aluminum case like structure with a screen and carrying handle. It states Terrameter LS 2 on the side. Its dimensions are 39 x 21x32 cm (WxLxH) and weighs just under 14kg
The other item is a hard yellow terra case with carrying handle. It states Geode on the side, its dimensions are 26xm x 31cm x 18cm and weighs approximately 3.6kg
