Fri, 31 May 2024 - 31min - 65 - Eugenia Pantahos on Backing Yourself
It’s been a week since I flew to Sydney for a book signing event for both Greek Life now in its 3rd print run, and Greek Food For Sharing in it’s 2nd print run.
I was met with people waiting in the store ready to meet me. I got there 15 minutes early. I also discovered that dozens of people had placed orders for multiple books each and that there were bags waiting for me to sign the books, and some had requests for personal messages. These people couldn’t come to the signing yet had paid for the books in advance and put their requests in.
More people came, more books were signed, and people stayed to share conversations, hugs, and to be part of the amazing energy of the day. Initially the shop owner and I had agreed on a one hour window so as to maximse who would show up. I was prepared to stay for two, realistically, however I was there for 3.5 hours followed by the longest goodbye. It was a huge success, rewarding and ever so meaningful. What made even more special was to have my daughter Helena and my great-niece Lilli with me on the day. So special indeed. Tune in to learn why backing yourself is the key to success.

Tue, 19 Mar 2024 - 35min - 56 - How to Cultivate Optimism
How do we increase the likelihood of our personal success? It's about cultivating the habit of being optimistic, and in the process creating realistic goals and taking positive action. Optimistic people have a solution for every problem. Conversely, pessimistic people have a problem for every solution. Optimistic people are creative, they possess problem-solving skills, and see the world as 'us' and not 'them'. This group of people experience less stress and usually enjoy better health because of it. They are operating from their locus of control, and this self-belief is a great motivating force that fuels the conviction that they will triumph in face of challenges and difficulties. Remember the message in the book, The Little Engine that Could? It goes: "I think I can! I think I can!"....and yes, it's a great reminder that our mindset matters.

The universe brings people into our path for certain reasons, and this is the case when my daughter and I met Poli and her daughter at a business breakfast in Melbourne.

Fri, 08 Dec 2023 - 42min - 53 - What Are Your Agreements?
A favourite book by Don Miguel Ruiz titled the Four Agreements reveals he source of self-limiting beliefs. It’s a book about the four principles for living a meaningful life
This powerful and impactful book offers a code of conduct that can transform your life to experience freedom, happiness and love.
There are thousands of agreements we make in our lifetime, with ourselves, with other people, with our higher power, with society, with our family and partners, in our business, in our external relationships.
The most important agreements are the ones that you make with yourself. The ones that inform what it is you will stand for, who you are, what your feel, what you believe and how you behave.
Fear based agreements will keep you playing small and feeling stuck.
Agreements that are born from love, will make everything possible. Tune in now.

Thu, 07 Dec 2023 - 14min - 52 - The Sum of Your Thoughts
Sometimes the stories swirling around your mind take momentum and hijack your thinking. You know how the story goes.
Something external to you has occurred and it is the trigger for negative self-talk, or feelings of self-righteousness, and before you know it both lack and insecurity creep in, and you will find all the reasons and biases to support your thinking. The lens from which you view life, has lost it’s rose coloured hue.
Your executive brain can no longer be relied upon to make good decisions. It’s in these moments that your life’s regrets may happen. This is when reactions occur instead of responses. You might find yourself feeling as though your in a fight or flight response.
The question is how to bring back equilibrium. How do you lower the anxiety that has just occurred and elevate your executive thinking, and thereby mitigating the risk of embarrassing yourself and others, or from diving into a negative downward spiral? Tune in to hear this podcast.

Tue, 05 Dec 2023 - 11min - 51 - How To Get Out Of Your Own Way
Life can be challenging, and as the CEO of your life and business, you can get stuck. You’re not quite yourself. Inspiration may have left the building.
Self-doubt creeps in, and sometimes you can be our own worst enemy, ruminating, overthinking, holding your own perspective and guarding it like precious gold. Surely if you’ve thought of some life diminishing, imposter syndrome, belittling thought ---- it must be true..! I’m here to tell you differently.
You see, one thought creeps in and suddenly you lose trust with yourself, with others, you lose your drive, your focus and you become stuck. Essentially you have given a single thought more power than in deserves, and in the process disempowered yourself. Tune in now.

Wed, 15 Nov 2023 - 08min - 50 - What Makes Chanel Unique
Recently I launched the VRIO framework as a free download on the Business Class Collective website. This framework designed by Jay Barney in 1991, looks at competitive advantage.
VRIO is an acronym for Valuable, Rare, Inimitable and Organised.
Head over to Business Class Collective and download it for free.
So today, in line with this framework, I thought the looking at the Chanel brand might put things into perspective.
So let’s get started.
Chanel is a French luxury fashion house founded in 1910 by Coco Chanel in Paris. It is privately owned by the Wertheimer family and has been headquartered in London since 2018. Chanel specializes in women's ready-to-wear, luxury goods, and accessories.
This article examines the woman, the vision, the determination, the marketing, the symbols, and the longevity of a brand that has transcended decades.
If you love to wear trousers, you’re not alone, and it’s all because of fashion icon Coco Chanel who liberated women from corsets into free-flowing, loose-fitting, classic designs.
“Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury.”

Thu, 21 Sep 2023 - 34min - 48 - How to Get Energised
Life can be joyous, fun, exciting and purposeful.
And we can also experience distraction, anxiety, discomfort, low energy, confusion, brain fog, and overwhelm.
Causes can be from happenings in the workplace, personal relationships, family responsibilities or simply navigating every day life.
Running a business and meeting timelines and everyday demands, can often have business owners, executives and their teams lacking in wellness.
Long days, working late, eating on the run, fuelling on coffee and other stimulants can wreak havoc on your wellbeing as well as your mindset.
If you’re not looking after yourself with a balanced diet, getting adequate restorative sleep, sunshine and exercise, you may feel that you’re dragging your feet and not working or operating in your optimal zone.
The question is how do we take back some control and bring harmony and energy back into the equation?
Firstly it’s to value your time and to prioritise who has access to you and for how long. Are the relationships that you’re investing in bringing joy and contentment or are you treading a precarious tightrope just to get by.
Secondly, aside from weight, perhaps another measure of wellness is your energy levels. Do you have a bounce in your step and manage to get through your day feeling lively and excited, or are you dragging your feet just to make it through to midday? Everything is more difficult if you’re feeling tired, so it’s time to examine your life and get back on top of it.
When harmony is lacking from your life, you tend to rinse and repeat a cycle that interferes with the power to function, regenerate and heal. It’s like dipping into a bank account that eventually goes into the red. At first, your bodies will whisper a warning, then perhaps a few more in the hope that you hear the message loud a clear. But alas, for some the whisper then becomes a roar, and that usually stops you in our tracks. Your body is demanding attention, and if you don’t give it the right attention, it goes on strike! Tune in to learn more.

Mon, 11 Sep 2023 - 16min - 47 - The Importance of Setting Priorities
What is a priority? It’s basically something that is more important than other things and that needs to be done or dealt with first.
Prioritisation helps you focus and feel more confident and effective, and by prioritising your most important work first, it helps you take control of your time and ensures you meet important timelines.
Your productivity is linked to your priorities. You want to be more productive, seek career success, and to work smarter and not harder. You seek work life harmony where you can feel that you can have it all. But unless you learn to prioritise you’ll always feel that you’re chasing your tail.
First things first. Energy levels impact produtivity. So how do you keep your energy levels high? It’s about enjoying a balanced diet, keeping hydrated, working when it most suits your bio rhythms – think night owl or morning lark – and also getting some exercise and sunshine.
Secondly, time management is the other key to woring towards your priorities. Without effective time management you’ll procrastinate, waste time, your attention span will wane, and your valuable time and energy is wasted.
Identifying your priorities helps you focus and reduces distraction and overwhelm.
Protecting time and using time effectively can make all the difference to how your day pans out. Do you know how you spend your time, or does time slip away from you? Understanding time, goal setting and time management is crucial to working effectively and efficiently.
Some people love writing lists of what needs to be done, and others use technology to build projects and tasks. I use a combination of both.

Sun, 27 Aug 2023 - 12min - 45 - The Five Love Languages
Love languages matter, regardless of whether that’s in your personal relationship, working life, managing a team, or running a business. So as we discuss the various love languages think about what you have or are experiencing with your romantic partner, Look deeply and observe what they need to feel loved and appreciated.
In the workplace observe what makes you feel connected in your role and with your team members or direct reports.
Love is all around us and each of communicate it in a different way.
When I'm discussing workplace love languages I am only speaking from the point of view of above-board working relationships. That's my little disclaimer. It's not about affairs of the heart in the office!
We require a certain amount of emotional intelligence to stay connected and have meaningful relationships that foster communication, connection and intimacy, and love languages help that to happen.
So what are the 5 love languages? Tune in to learn more.

Fri, 30 Jun 2023 - 39min - 40 - End of Financial Year Checklist
The end of financial year is approaching quickly, so I'm chiming in here to make sure you've got your head around the things you need to think about, or to take action on. BEFORE 30 JUNE Consider what you'd like to prepay before 30 June. It might be new plant and equipment, leasing a vehicle, office supplies, stationery, creditors or investing in your staff by way of training and courses. Here's a little plug for the eCourse for Entrepreneurs, a course for business owners, startups, and managers.
It is also a good time to discuss insurance needs with your broker. You may have important changes to your business that should be taken into account when renewing the policies.
When claiming any deductions for your business, be sure to have records to support the expenses that you claim. So, what are some of the deductions? These may relate to travel expenses, computers and/or tools and machinery, motor vehicle expense, or website and IT costs. Conduct a stocktake so that you have accurate records of stock on hand. After the final pay-run is processed before 30 June you will need to make sure that you have met all the superannuation requirements with regard to reporting and payments. For this financial year there is a super contribution cap of $27,500. What does this mean? Say your salary is $80k, super on that amount will be $8,400 and that's what will be paid during the year into your Superfund. The difference between $27,500 (being the cap) and $8,400 (being the year's contribution) is $19,100 and that would be the extra amount of superannuation that you can contribute to your fund. It's important to speak to your accountant and financial advisor about this. If a super cap payment is made, it needs to happen before 30 June. Engage an external consultant to reconcile the end of year payroll summaries. This will help to confirm that payments paid for salaries, super, PAYG or other payments to staff or to yourself if you're flying solo, indeed match the records lodged at the Australian Taxation Office through Single Touch Payroll. If they don't match, then you've got time to remedy the situation.
AFTER 30 JUNE If you’re running a business you are most likely using an accounting platform like MYOB, Xero or the like.
Download bank statements to 30 June for your everyday business account, VISA, AMEX, other credit cards, or business savings account Reconcile all your bank statements to 30 June Collate copies of expenses paid for your business Download share portfolio statements Collate expenses paid for property investments (utilities, insurance, repairs and maintenance, land tax, annual rental statement), and any bank loan statements Prepare and collate a copy the April-June quarter BAS statement Collate copies of insurance invoices paid (life, travel, computer, public liability, professional indemnity, landlord) Lodge WorkCover declaration for the financial year and an estimate of remuneration for the new financial yearYou or your bookkeeper will be able to access the data and run the necessary end of financial year reports.
Profit and Loss Statement Trial Balance General Ledger Debtors CreditorsThis email is for information purposes only, and it is recommended that you speak to your accountant or financial advisor to obtain professional advice. With warmest regards and best wishes for a happy financial year, Eugenia xx ***Until 30 June 2023 the introductory investment for the eCourse for Entrepreneurs is $397. The represents a savings of hundreds of dollars. Enroll now :)
Mon, 26 Jun 2023 - 06min - 39 - The Art of Reinvention
The desire for reinvention can be caused by feelings that you’re stuck in a rut, or that you wish to change direction or careers, or perhaps you are going through some sort of personal crisis.
So how do you reinvent yourself? Well firstly you need to become comfortable with asking some very pertinent questions about yourself, your direction and your objectives. Secondly, you need to answer these questions honestly.
Consider accessing your current situation and what it is you want to achieve. Take a piece of paper and write down where you are now, what are your strengths and weaknesses, and what obstacles stand in the way of your achieving your new life.
Define your core goals and create a personal vision statement to support your reinvention. Become clear on why you want something to change. This will help you from chasing shiny objects that don’t serve you well.
List your goals and determine how realistic and achievable these goals are.
Having clear and strong goals means that when times are tough, and obstacles arise, you will have the commitment and can-do to push through. It’s about keeping yourself focused on the objective. Tune in to learn more.

Fri, 02 Jun 2023 - 11min - 37 - Limiting Beliefs and How To Overcome Them
This week we are discussing overcoming limiting beliefs.
What are limiting beliefs? Simply put they are excuses. They are the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what is holding us back from becoming who we are meant to be.
Limiting beliefs prevent us from reaching our full potential. Often, they are subconscious, which means we don’t even know that we have them until someone points them out to us.
Our brain is wired to conserve energy. We are comfortable in our routines, our jobs, and our relationships, and that comfort translates to not wanting to get out of our comfort zone. We are even capable of sabotaging our own success because of limiting beliefs.
But the truth is that we all can tap into our unlimited potential. You just need to imagine in, believe, face your fears and take action.
How do you know if you have limiting beliefs? Well, some of the three common limiting beliefs include:
I don’t have time – But we all are allocated the same hours in a day. And we know that when we care about something, nothing can hold us back. But if we’re not invested in something, naturally we tell ourselves that we don’t have enough time.
I don’t possess adequate technical skills or I don’t have what it takes. – Fear of failure or fear of success can be at the core of this excuse, or fear of being seen and not doing well. But, with focus and self-belief everything can be possible.
I’m not strong enough – this belief keeps us in our comfort zone. We perceive ourselves as weak and unable to recover from failure, discomfort or rejection. The preference is to stay where we are to avoid the risk of becoming hurt.
I think if we are all honest with ourselves, we could easily identify limiting beliefs that prevent us from self-actualising. These beliefs come from a negative mindset, and a place of fear that prevents you from rising up to experience a new opportunity.
Limiting beliefs hinder progress and get in the way of your potential success. Sometimes the idea of success can be overwhelming, and staying put in your limiting beliefs makes you feel ‘safe’. Tune in to learn more.

Sat, 20 May 2023 - 10min - 35 - The Importance of Resilience
Resilience is like a muscle. We need to flex it often to have it work best. Resilience helps to process and overcome hardship. When lacking resilience, overwhelm can happen quite easily and can lead to unhealthy support systems.
Resilience is important because it helps both individuals and communities to thrive in the face of adversity. It helps to manage times of uncertainty and stress, and helps to protect from anxiety and depression.
Each time you work through a stressful situation you have the opportunity to develop your skills over time and improve you response. What might throw you quite easily when you were younger, may seem like water off a ducks back now that you have more experience and know how.
Resilience is about your ability to bounce back from the obstacles that life throws at you. It’s about having the capacity to emerge stronger, wiser and more capable from the disruption in our thought and feelings.
So what are the standout characteristics or methods in harnessing resilience? Tune in to learn more.

Fri, 02 Dec 2022 - 36min - 30 - New Moon Intentions
I'm certain that I'm not alone in my love of astrology and the curiosity around moon rituals.
Ancient civilisations used the moon as a timepiece and the cycles of the moon to guide them, and today our modern civilisation also uses the moon cycles for planning and living a more fruitful life, whether that’s gardening and harvesting by the moon cycles or being purposeful with our life’s intentions.
Have you ever wondered about the difference between the full moon and the new moon?
The new moon phase is a more introspective time and represents new beginnings as we plant seeds for the future. During a new moon, tt's a good time to set clear intentions for the month ahead, clarify your goals, start new projects, and acknowledge your growth since the previous new moon.
The full moon is about reaping what you sowed in the new moon phase. It’s about harvesting the fruits of your labour.
Recently I had mentioned to a friend that I needed to step into my power, step into Business Class, and take the necessary action that I had been putting off… And just like that, it’s what this season is all about, having refined and completed the design for the 2023 diary, which by the way you can order directly at my website (cheeky little plug), and I’ve been refining the content, imagery and including more downloadable worksheets on my online course. Wed, 16 Nov 2022 - 32min - 28 - Breaking Down Barriers
On my walk this morning, I had a thought that I wanted to share.
I’m thinking about the glass ceiling that women face in their careers. I’m thinking about women who feel they don’t have the opportunity or confidence to step into being the best version of themselves. I’m thinking that historically women did not have a place at the table, or the right to vote, or to enter the workforce, or remain in the workforce after they were married.
I’m thinking about the women who did work to keep the economy and their family going when their husbands were serving their country. They were the backbone of society at the time.
There’s a saying that you can’t step into the same river twice. I know we’ve come along way since these early times, and I’m grateful for the era that I was born into. I’m thankful for my opportunities and my challenges, as they have shaped me to become the woman I am today. I appreciate the fact that I have a space at the table, and if not, that I have the skills to build my own metaphorical table.
When I was a young girl I remember watching a film titled His Girl Friday, from the 1940’s. It’s a comedy starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell.
Tune in to hear the rest.

Thu, 10 Nov 2022 - 10min - 27 - The Importance of Clearing Clutter
This week we are discussing clutter. You know, physical clutter that takes up space in your living spaces as well as the clutter residing rent free in your mind.
It’s not just the stuff on the floor, but it’s about anything that gets between you and the life you want to live.
How you show up in consciously caring for your home and working environment is how you show up generally in your life. It’s like a barometer for how you view the world and your place in it.
Clutter can easily take over your life and make it feel crowded. Clutter collects dust, and makes your surrounding lose meaning. It can be limiting and suffocating and what’s required is to get straight to work and clean your space up.
When was the last time that you went through your wardrobe, your office, pantry or bathroom to clear what no longer served you. This can be a very empowering activity, and one that should be done on a regular basis, one room or area at a time.
Decluttering isn’t about creating more pressure or unnecessary anxiety, but it can be about constantly addressing clutter, in small steps, so that it doesn’t accumulate and become a task that seems too great to tackle.
So tune in to listen.

Thu, 03 Nov 2022 - 11min - 26 - The Secret Habits of Smart People
You may be wondering what sets people apart; well smart people apart. What do they do that’s different? What choices do they make and why they make those choices.
Lets get started.
They are not afraid to ask questions – by asking questions they continue to learn and grow. They ask questions of themselves to learn about their situations or challenges and how they might address them differently in the future. They keep an enquiring mind, knowing that there are no wrong questions. By asking, they keep learning.
They read widely – the bookshelves are filled with books from various genres. Books that are inspirational, instructional, biographical. The digital world has us connected instantly to a range of books and resources to broaden our knowledge. Smart people read, and take the time to process what they’ve read, even if it’s a chapter at a time.
They choose the company of other smart people – It’s important to smart people to spend time with thinkers and intellectuals. They learn through discussions, through interesting stories and experiences and the energy of smart people is at a higher vibration.

Sat, 15 Oct 2022 - 06min - 25 - The Joy of Travel
This week we are discussing the need to take that break, to get away from the usual routine, to explore and discover, to immerse and experience life differently.
Holidays are a wonderful way to create some distance from the everyday, and provides a slowing down of time and more space so that you can return to your senses to take in new sights, sounds, tastes and aromas, to people watch or to make connections. To be inspired by art and architecture, fashion and style, sights and attractions, the people and the interactions … ooh and the local food and wine.
I’m one of those people who love to travel. I enjoy the energy and bustle at airports, the view from the window seat that always provides perspective. I love to travel by train, having experienced the Indian Pacific from Sydney to Adelaide, and very soon I’ll be flying to Darwin and returning home on the Ghan.; something I’ve dreamed about for a while….and soon it will be a reality. So exciting. I can’t wait!

Fri, 16 Sep 2022 - 30min - 22 - A Sense of Identity
How we perceive ourselves matters, and we care about how others perceive us too. We move through the different stages in our life from a baby, to pre-schooler, to student, teenager and adult.
We might identify as a musician, a sportsperson, as creative or an academic. We may be viewed as a trouble-maker, or spirited, lively, reserved or shy, an extrovert or an introvert, and perhaps an ambivert someone who teeters between both personality types.
The different phases or stages in our life bring a different type of identity, and this may be a point that is wrestled with in private as a challenge or a crisis, or publicly owned and celebrated.
Developmental psychologist Erik Erikson, believes that an identity crisis is a development event that involves a person questioning their sense of self or place in the world, and that the formation of identity was one of the most important conflicts that people face.
Identity can be tied to colour, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, culture, religion, professional identity, ability identity, nationality, and socioeconomic status.
Our identity is evident in our birth certificate, driver’s license, passport, and more recently the paperwork required to prove immunisation for Covid.

Mostly, our lives unfold as they we might expect them to. We enjoy a routine that is familiar. We get up, shower, have breakfast and start our working day.
Sometimes we can experience rejections that literally stop us in our tracks and that leave us doubting our self-belief and self worth. It takes courage to choose what might seem as a disaster, as simply a redirection. It takes faith to appreciate that perhaps the unexpected thing that you are experiencing is the universe or higher power having your back.

Sun, 04 Sep 2022 - 16min - 19 - Unlocking the Secrets of the Feminine and Masculine
In this episode we are discussing the energies that exist within us. Are men and women really so different, besides the obvious?
Women predominantly default to feminine, and men predominantly default to masculine. Each gender is biologically wired differently and therefore expresses energies differently. There are plenty of men who embody feminine qualities, and women who embody masculine qualities.
Take a stroll in any city in the world and you’ll see both genders identifying with different qualities. Some women will be very feminine in their presentation and others will be quite tomboyish. Men can seem macho or as well presented metrosexuals.
In my working life I’ve witnessed the powerful woman who is en point in her presentation. She knows what she wants from life and is not afraid to use her feminine charms. She is strategic, knowing, alluring, intelligent, personable, and direct. And, she can be laser focused and a great achieve. She uses her feminine powers to transform teams, keep conversations intelligent, and creating buy-in just by being her authentic self......
......Both energies are necessary, and neither is superior, but each of these energies is attracted to the other.
Balance is achieved when these energies are harmonious and when we are in harmony we feel that we can achieve more fulfillment in our life. When in harmony the feminine and masculine energies complement and support each other. They are like the yin and yang energy of Chinese philosophy. These energy forces are complementary and interconnected.

Mon, 01 Aug 2022 - 19min - 18 - Curating Your Creativity
Everyone is a creative artist, one way or another. Whether it’s tending a garden, dishing up a spectacularly artistic plate of food, creating new versions of recipes with what’s in the fridge, being a master applicator of makeup, building a business, applying brushstrokes on a canvas, or writing musical notes on a sheet of paper. Art is everywhere.
It’s a natural gift that is essentially unlearned during our developmental years, and only the truly brave give permission to themselves to re-embrace this gift as adults.
Creativity and art is also used for therapies that include dance, drama, music and writing. These expressions are used to promote wellness and self-improvement and can foster healing through creative expression.
Creativity abounds, if we allow it to, and I feel that the enemy of creativity is self-doubt.

Fri, 01 Jul 2022 - 26min - 15 - How to Stop Overthinking
We’ve all been there. You know the place where we overthink, ruminate, and dwell on thoughts or situations that most likely will never happen.
Our brain goes over a perceived problem by going into analysis mode. We think, worry, question, reason and plan continuously. Then we cycle through all the possibilities of what can happen, and what can go wrong….and then we do it all over again!
You project into the future a scenario that puts you in a spiral and before you know it your body thinks it’s actually in that situation. Your breathing changes, the way that you carry your self changes, your shoulders tighten and you’re on high alert for something that is future based. You can become overwhelmed and paralysed with fear and anxiety.
When this happens, it can derail your entire day. Chatting to friends may help, but it can also exacerbate matters if they start agreeing with you. So choose carefully who it is you seek guidance from when you start going down this rabbit hole.
A Harvard Science Review explains that “A human mind is a wandering mind, and a wandering mind is an unhappy mind’.

Wed, 29 Jun 2022 - 10min - 14 - How to Become Magnetic
How we feel matters.
Each day we get to choose how we show up, and depending on how we do show up, we can become the absolutely and amazingly magnetic version of ourselves.
Remember anytime that you feel overwhelmed and filled with anxiety and discomfort, it’s a reminder that a break through is just around the corner. When a chapter of your life ends, things become confusing. Feel your feelings and face your emotions. Let it pass. Healing isn’t linear. Sometimes it’s a few steps forward and then maybe a step backwards. Sometimes it feels like you’re all over the place. Even though you’re not 100% healed, be reminded that you deserve love and to enjoy all of the niceties of life.
The lesson here is that magnetic people do not dwell on their pain and they most definitely do not take it publicly. Instead they flex and tweak their personality to bring the best version of themselves forward. It is believed that charisma is around 50% innate and 50% learned.
And, that’s the good news. It means we can all tweak our charm and magnetism by extending our existing qualities such as presence, power, warmth, positive body language and great listening skills into our everyday. We can learn and practice and apply as we go along.
Tune in to learn how to become magnetic.

Like many of you, I too feel that the Social Media Merry-go-round can be daunting, and fatigue inducing, let alone invoking feelings of insecurity and vulnerability and questioning whether what you have to share matters.
I’ve heard so many times “That it takes too much work and I’m not sure that I have the time and the desire to keep posting” and “ Why post?” or “I think I can use my time better than planning socials.” It goes on and on.
Having given it some thought, and speaking from experience, it seems difficult with all the constant changes in algorithms to keep up. For me personally, there are a number of IG accounts that I follow and ‘like’ and ‘comment’ on that for some reason aren’t appearing when I’m scrolling. Yes, it’s frustrating, and to be honest it can be overwhelming to keep up, especially when Instagram moves the goal posts. So now, posting isn’t enough. Yes, we need to make reels with ‘original’ content, and not ‘shared’ content.
So why should we be using social media. Firstly, it creates the opportunity to share our message with the world. Secondly, it’s an affordable option. I’m sure that some of you tuning in right now will remember the large advertising budgets companies used in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. Large investments in paid advertising with big name advertising agencies.
So, with social media, you need to be smart about how you use it. What I mean by this is, ask yourself: are you a curator firstly and a consumer secondly. You can post and write about what you know, about your products and offers, about your thoughts and philosophies, or you can just simply consume what’s there, and waste your time being a voyeur of someone else’s life.
Tune in to keep listening.

Mon, 20 Jun 2022 - 14min - 12 - Improve Performance with Strategic Breaks
In episode 8, titled Becoming a Boundary Queen, we discussed how interruptions to our work day can wreak havoc, and that it’s up to us to set healthy boundaries.
In today’s episode titled How To Improve Performance with Strategic Breaks we are discussing the breaks you take on your terms to improve outcomes and to become more creative.
There’s a difference between these type of strategic breaks and interruptions.
When you’re working in a flow state on a task or project, and your ideas are flowing freely, you feel great!
You keep working through and as you keep chipping away, you then suddenly find that you’re not feeling great. You’ve hit a wall, a roadblock, and your thinking is no longer laser focused. Productivity has dropped. You can’t focus, and you begin to feel irritable.
We all know what that feels like, to be stuck on a problem. We ruminate as it goes round and round our head, increasing frustration and obliterating enthusiasm.
So, you try to push through. You put the kettle on, so sure and confident, and with fingers crossed while you make a wish, that when you return to the task, you’ll be able to smash your way through. Sometimes that works, but oh no, not on this occasion.
This is when we need a different sort of break, and I'll be sharing with you great tips and tricks for working in the zone.

Fri, 17 Jun 2022 - 11min - 11 - The Importance of Caring
Caregiving is complex and the experiences are mixed. But one thing is for sure, caring requires understanding, focus and intentional support.
Caregiving is an incredible expression of love and generosity, but it can also take a huge toll on your physical, mental and emotional health.
I cared for my close friend who lost her battle aged 42, I sat with my mum in the two weeks when she was suddenly and unexpectedly admitted to hospital at the end of her life, and I cared for my father for around one and half years. I have no regrets and would do it all again.
Hospital visits, discussions with the medical teams, shopping, cooking meals, cleaning, organising medications, looking after pets, plus so many other roles were part of the everyday, all the while I was balancing the needs of my own family, and work.
Keep listening to learn the tips and tricks about becoming an attentive, loving and focused carer while looking after yourself too.
Mon, 13 Jun 2022 - 16min - 10 - Financial Abundance - a roadmap
FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE – A ROAD MAP
If New York is a state of mind, the same can be said for nearly everything in life. Sinatra reminds us if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.
When it comes to Financial Abundance, the same can be true. It starts with a state of mind, and it might end with leaving a legacy.
We all desire to be truly free. Free to do more of what we love, free to choose what to do, when to do it, and who to share it with.
We want to be free to choose our passions, our projects, our investments, our charities, our generosity, and our peace of mind.
How we talk to ourselves about money matters. Have you every found yourself saying:
You don’t have enough money. You’ll never be able to afford that. Desiring money is bad or greedy You’re not good with money. The more you give away the less you have for yourself. The only way to earn money is through hard work and sacrifice. These thoughts are based on lack and scarcity. Try replacing these internal dialogues with thoughts of abundance, ease, and generosity. Let’s to a swap:
The money I have is enough and I get to earn and spend accordingly I will create a plan to afford the life I desire Having money is not bad, it allows me to have choices The more I make, the more I can make a difference to those less fortunate I get to work for money and I get to invest and make my money work for meI remember asking my father what was the most important thing in life. His response was the freedom to choose.

Fri, 10 Jun 2022 - 15min - 9 - How to Make Your Business Dreams Come True
How to make your business dream come true?
In the words of Anna Wintour, ‘the best way to make a dream come true is to wake up’. As editor-in-chief of American Vogue, and host of the Met Gala… I think she knows what she’s talking about.
Creating a successful business is not a mystery, but yes it can be a challenge. It requires a different version of you to rise to the task.
You have the dream and you’re experiencing the exhilaration and excitement at becoming a business owner, and you think about what it is you want to achieve.
Yes, you want to provide a service, create an impact, enjoy financial independence, and experience more happiness both in your life and in your business.
You plan your vision with the same passion you have when you fall in love…. Well maybe not quite…but as an entrepreneur you’ll be in a relationship with your business for a long time.
There’s another side to envisioning what your business is about, and that is, the spiritual side of your business. What does this mean you ask?
Well, it’s the change that you want to see in the world. Usually this is linked to your life experiences or passions, and it leverages your natural gifts.
Think of causes such as - empowering women, ensuring all kids have breakfast at school, caring for the planet, making an impact in health, end human suffering/slave labour in the workplace. You get the drift. It’s something intrinsic that you become the vessel for. It’s bigger than making a profit. It’s about ethical choices, passions, and wanting to make a difference.
There's so much more to share on this podcast. Be inspired.
Love Eugenia
Tue, 07 Jun 2022 - 13min - 8 - Becoming a Boundary Queen
Become a Boundary Queen. We’ve all been there. Saying YES, when you really wanted to say NO. Boundaries can be tricky. We give those close to us whether its family, friends, work colleagues or acquaintances access to the best part of us. But we need to remind ourselves that we are in charge of who has access, and how often they have access, and under what circumstances that access happens. So, what is a boundary? A boundary is a demarcation between things we are responsible for and those things we can’t be responsible for. You'll learn tips and tricks about setting healthy boundaries, why they are so important, how to stand in your power.

Tue, 31 May 2022 - 30min - 6 - The Power of Your Daily Habits
We are all creatures of habit. We can get caught up in over thinking the past and the future, living up to other’s expectations, or comparing ourselves instead of appreciating just how far we’ve come.
Let’s be honest, who hasn’t become muddled with their thoughts only to derail good habits and lifestyle choices? We are human after all. A step backwards doesn’t mean that you can’t make a significant leap forward. Our thoughts greatly influence our habits, but we can stand in our power and do something about it.
If you have good habits they become part of your lifestyle. Equally bad habits can do the same thing and wreak havoc on your well-being. But changing bad habits is about letting go of what’s holding you back. Think about that sneaky chocolate bar that may be luscious on the lips but not on the hips! Or the continuous swiping of your credit card so that you can feel good about yourself for a moment…that is until the statement is due for payment.
Good habits help us to live a good life and if we are lucky, we get to live a great life. Who doesn’t want that?
But we need more that just habits. Our character is shaped by choices, habits and values, such as loyalty, honesty, kindness, integrity, courage, justice, and humility.
So how can we live a life filled with good habits that guide us, uplift us, and encourage us to live a fulfilling and happy life?
Engaging in good habits helps us build success, both personally and professionally.
But, recently the measure of success has been more about personality, public image and skills.
But what makes successful people stand out? It’s about having an alluring personality, and skill-set capabilities together with highly valued principles. That’s the winning formula.
One of the grandfathers of philosophy, Aristotle, wrote that we are what we repeatedly do. He reminds us that excellence is not an act but a habit. How powerful is that?
In more modern times, Stephen Covey author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People wrote about habits and cultivating character to achieve sustainable success.
This book greatly influenced my life, and remains a firm favourite. I've enjoyed sharing the lessons of Covey on this podcast, and I'll be including a more detailed list of the 7 Habits on my website.

Wed, 25 May 2022 - 11min - 4 - Episode 04 - COVID, what an experience
Today I'm sharing my experiences with COVID. Yes, it got me too. I had managed to escape coming down with it, until I travelled for the first time in two years by aeroplane to travel to Tasmania for a conference. It got me, and it got me good!
The first symptom, that is unusual, was cystitis (an aggravated bladder). Initially, I thought that I had a kidney infection (not sure where I would have go that), but the urgent need to visit the loo was alarming and uncomfortable to say the least.
I arrived home from Tasmania on a Saturday night at around 7 pm, and by 10pm the full COVID symptoms hit my like a truck. Aches, pains, fever, chills, headache, sore throat and runny nose. It was not good.
The major symptoms lasted 3 days, followed by 7 to 10 days recovering.
Each day I enjoyed a pot of homemade red lentil and vegetable soup and a freshly prepared juice. I ensured that every meal I had was light and nutrient rich to aid my recovery.
What I didn't expect was the fatigue and lingering cough that literally floored me.
My energy levels were depleted, and coughing fits were just awful. This lasted for some weeks, and I've only just recovered.
I hope this short podcast explaing the unusal initial symptom of COVID that I experienced helps you to look out for symptoms that are not listed as popular.
Stay safe, keep well, and smiles from me.
