Sunday Service: Our trust is either in God or in money. Just as the body signals pain when something is wrong, our emotions signal when we have a spiritual issue. Constant worry about provision reveals that our trust is in money, not God. This worry often leads to an obsession with storing up money for the future, showing that money has become our master. We cannot receive God’s prosperity if our trust is not fully in Him. Jesus teaches that giving to those in need trains us to rely on God. When we train ourselves to trust God over money, we open the door to experience prosperity on earth, knowing that God is the true source of all provision.

Daily Study:  When you see another believer fail to receive their healing, especially when they have been praying for it, it can really cause you to doubt. However, we don’t really know why they didn’t receive healing, and we can’t allow their failure to receive it to derail our faith in divine healing.

Romans Series: These verses teach the importance of submitting to governing authorities, as all authority is established by God to maintain order and administer justice. Resisting authority is seen as opposing God's ordinance, while obedience is encouraged not only to avoid punishment but also to maintain a clear conscience. Rulers are described as God's servants, tasked with rewarding good behavior and punishing wrongdoing, acting as agents of justice. Christians are also urged to fulfill their civic duties, including paying taxes and giving respect and honor to leaders, recognizing these acts as part of their spiritual responsibility to support the order God has instituted.

Daily Study: I am a strong believer of staying focused and not deviating from your calling, because focused pursuits over time bring success. Whereas, deviations from your path slow down your calling to a standstill. However, we also have Holy Spirit inside us who knows how to navigate the ups and downs of a calling. This means that there may be seasons when Holy Spirit will direct you to take an anointed deviation that may appear to break your focus. The difference between an anointed deviation verses a self-appointed deviation is that an anointed deviation does not slow down the success of your calling. It will compliment it.

Daily Study: Many believers are in a holding pattern, waiting on a direct word from God to get moving. However, God is not a micromanager. Growth Lab: I have discovered through the Word of God that when we have a financial need, asking God to give us money is the wrong prayer to pray. The reason is that God can only give us what He has. Money is a human creation, not a God creation. Therefore, we need to ask God for what He can give, and what God gives is wisdom that leads to you making money.

Daily Study: God gives us assignments that are for a moment, season, or lifetime. As we are doing an assignment, we may not know which time frame it falls into. Therefore, it is important to stay connected to Holy Spirit and not assume an assignment from God is forever so that we can be open to hearing if (or when) a change in assignment comes. This is important because God’s anointing for success follows His assignments.

Daily Study:  Sorry today’s study was a bit late. I want to discuss the idea that God has not given us a spirit of fear. In yesterday’s open forum on biblical insights for the 2024 election, I sensed that many people were conflicted about their voting direction, given the lack of clear choices. A key theme that emerged was fear—fear of the other candidate winning, whether it's Trump or Harris. Campaigns often amplify this fear to influence our vote, pushing us to act in their favor. But God has not given us a spirit of fear. Let’s explore this in today’s study.

Daily Study: There is a term in warfare called “the fog of war.” It is a metaphor for the confusion that occurs on the battlefield when bullets are flying and bombs are exploding. In this confusion, or fog, the battle plan becomes unclear and uncertain. Likewise, there is a fog in life that causes confusion in the vision God has given you. The Bible calls this fog the “cares of this world.” Let's learn more about the fog of life and how to prevent it from clouding your vision from God.

Instead of a Daily Study today, I want to start off the week with a pastoral chat on building a culture of prosperity. Over the past several weeks in our growth labs, we’ve been diving deep into this idea of prosperity.

The reason we're focusing on this is that God has placed it on my heart to foster a culture of prosperity here at the Church for Entrepreneurs. A key part of building this culture is embracing the unique callings God has given each of us.

In Romans 12, Paul speaks about how each of us is gifted with distinct talents. I like to call this our "genius"—the things we do well, that come naturally. If you look back, you’ll see how these gifts have shown up repeatedly in your life, because they’re part of your spiritual DNA.

To receive prosperity in your life you need to embrace what God has uniquely called you to do. Many people overlook their gifts because they seem too simple or natural, but these gifts are designed by God to serve His kingdom and bring blessing into our lives. So whether you’re called to lead, to code, or to create in some other way, lean into that calling.

If you’re still discovering what that is, our Clarity Academy in the community can help you find it. But if you’re over 30, you likely already recognize what God has called you to do, as you’ve seen it play out through the years. And if you’re around my age, in your 50s, your calling has likely been confirmed and strengthened over decades.

To bring prosperity into your life, you need to do what God has uniquely gifted you to do. When you walk in that purpose, you honor God, serve His plan, and welcome success into your life.

Pastoral Chat: Can women be pastors? This is a significant debate in the Body of Christ. The Apostle Paul places some restrictions on women in certain situations, but the New Testament also shows women in key leadership roles in spreading the gospel. So, which is it? Can they lead both men and women as pastors, or are they restricted from doing so? I believe a woman can be a pastor if those she leads are willing to accept her leadership. God is practical. If certain men can only follow a specific type of man, God won’t place a woman in charge of them. God is not concerned with which gender can or can't lead, but with people being saved, so He will put the person best suited to shepherd and lead a particular group. The leader God appoints is the one the group is receptive to follow.

Pastoral Chat: We are looking through a glass darkly, which means we don't have full revelation on exactly what God has called us to do. What paralyzes most believers is that they're waiting for perfect clarity to actually step into what God has called them to do. The Bible doesn't teach us to step into perfect clarity; it teaches us to step out in faith. As we step out in faith, if we make mistakes, God will redirect and check us. So what I like to say is, we need to try different paths to discover the one God has for us. So let's embrace experimentation and not get frozen waiting for perfect clarity.

Daily Word: The anointing on our lives is just potential. We can train our potential and grow it to incredible heights. It is just like natural talent in sports. A natural talent without training and use produces lackluster success. Likewise, if we don’t train and use our anointing, we will never reach our full potential.

Daily Word: When you receive an assignment from God, it is critical to know if the assignment is for provision or purpose. An assignment for provision is usually temporary and is designed to take care of an immediate financial need, whereas an assignment for purpose is long term and is the reason why you were born. Knowing the difference helps you have the appropriate mindset to implement the assignment and positions you for success in the assignment.

Daily Study: As believers, we downplay our feelings and treat them like a bad guide. We do this because many of us have been taught not to trust our feelings. However, God created our feelings, just like He created our body and spirit, so why would we throw away something He created? Instead of throwing our feelings away, let’s learn to use them. A born again believer who studies and meditates the Word consistently can trust their feelings as a guide to discern their calling.

Daily Study: God chooses people to do things who seem like the wrong choice to normal eyes. For example, He calls high school dropouts to start colleges, medical doctors to open art galleries, and so on. God specializes in using people who are seemingly the wrong person to do amazing things. If God called you to do it, then you are the perfect person to do it.

I visited Lionheart Church yesterday in Atlanta, and the Spirit of God had the pastor call me to the front. He prophesied over me that I would receive a new grace in this season and that my decision to yield to God and close my local church would be an example to many people, setting many free who need to end certain things. Here's an AI transcript of what was said over me:

"Hey, let me pray for you for a moment. I won’t tell people what’s going on, but I can always tell when the Lord wants me to do something—it just keeps coming up. Amen. And we've known each other for a long time, so they don’t need to know. I don’t like sharing people’s personal business unless I know it's really important. It is good, but you know what I mean. Let me be quiet so you’ll know exactly what I mean, and your family knows what I mean.

The Lord wants me to pray for new grace for you in this season. The Holy Spirit’s exact words were: 'The decision you made [to close your local church] will have more of an effect on Earth than if you had stayed with your decision [continued your local church].' 

There are things God will use from that decision. It's going to set many people free. Whether you decide to partner with us or not, you’ll be preaching that word, and it's going to free people. Too many people hold on to things for too long, and only someone like you, who made that decision, can communicate it effectively. It’ll come out differently from you than if I preached it. There had to be an anointing, grace, humility, and boldness for you to make that choice, and I dare say, most preachers wouldn’t have been able to do it. 

I imagine it was harder for you to make this decision now than it was when you first started, but the Lord made it clear. I felt it when you texted me yesterday, and it has come up several times since. So, I’m going to pray for you to receive a new grace in this season. In my opinion, that message should be preached in every church. You’ll have to preach it here, especially with the platform the Lord has given us. You might end up preaching it multiple times. I’ll have to call you and say, 'Hey, that’s one of the key issues we face—people not letting go and staying on the wrong path too long.' Only a man with anointing, grace, and humility like yours could do that.

So, everyone, stretch your hands toward him. You may not know what we’re talking about now, but eventually, you will. 

Father, in Jesus’ name, we thank you, O Lord. I thank you for the lesson demonstrated through his decision. It was difficult, but he did it because he knew it was right. It was one of the hardest things he’s ever done, but I thank You, Lord, that You said, 'To obey is better than to sacrifice.' Because of his obedience, Lord, I thank You that You are obligated to make sure everything he sets his hand to will prosper. There is no such thing as lost time for him. I thank You, Lord, that You will redeem everything. And because of this decision, he will inspire many others to follow suit in their own lives. His testimony will help many others. We pray for new grace to come upon him now for this new journey. It will only go up from here.

Thank You, Lord, for the lesson we all will learn from his masterful decision. I thank You that this decision will touch even more people. Bless the work of his hands, his ministry, and his business. I thank You, Lord, that he and his family will continue to rise higher and higher. Increase them more and more. Multiply them greatly, and may his path shine brighter and brighter. We thank You for this new grace that will catapult him into his future. Thank You for doing a mighty work in his life and his family. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

When you hear him preach about this decision, you'll know it's the definition of a true man of God. A true man of God isn’t someone with a big church or a lot of followers. A true man of God is someone who obeys God at all costs. He made a decision that most men of God simply wouldn’t be able to make—they’re not humble enough. That’s why he’s going to be a master in the future. The Lord has many blessings in store for him and his family."

Daily Study: Many times in life, things just work out in our favor because God loves us. However, we have to be careful not to assume that the paths we took that led to good outcomes were approved by God. Growth Lab: God’s prosperity is simple to receive. We just have to follow His anointed instructions on where to find money or how to make it. For example, in the temple tax story, Peter presumptuously committed Jesus to paying taxes, yet Jesus graciously provided a way for Peter to find the money to pay the tax. Also, at the wedding, the people received prosperity by following God's direction, not through their own skills. These examples remind us that God's guidance is always available, and the key to receiving prosperity is listening and being obedient to His voice.

Daily Study: Most believers already have a good basic knowledge of what God has called them to do because God has not been hiding it from them. He has revealed it to them throughout their lives. The real issue is that many of us have not accepted our calling. We are full of self doubt and excuses. However, until we willingly accept our calling, we can’t even begin to be successful.

Daily Study: Since your calling is embedded in your spiritual DNA, you have instinctively manifested aspects of your calling throughout your life. Each of us has unique gifts, and these gifts should be used to serve the body of Christ, whether prophesying, teaching, encouraging, or whatever gift we have, according to the talent given to each of us.

Growth Lab: We are exploring the deeper meaning of honoring God with our money and resources. Many Christians limit this concept to tithing to a church, but true honor extends beyond that—it involves supporting the works of God and His people. In the Old Testament, giving to God meant providing for the temple and the Levites, but today, God's temple is within believers. Honoring God with our resources means both giving to believers in need and supporting ministers who spiritually care for believers. Jesus and Paul both emphasized the principle of giving and receiving: whatever we give, we receive back in greater measure. This is not to earn God’s blessing, as we are already blessed, but to activate the promise of increased resources, allowing us to give more and be a continuous blessing to others.

Daily Study: It is critical for us to stay aware of God’s current assignments in our life. This is important because when God ends one assignment and instructs us to undertake another, He removes His anointing from the old assignment and transfers it to the new one. If we miss the transition, He does not force us to stop the old assignment. He will allow us to keep going without His anointing. However, this is not a good situation for us because without the anointing, that same assignment that used to be fun and full of success will turn bitter, stress us out, and drive us to depression.

Daily Study: Just because God called you to do it doesn’t mean you won’t take a few hits while following your calling. We have a real enemy who doesn’t want you to succeed. So, when you experience dumps in the road of calling, don’t give up. Allow Holy Spirit to guide you around or through the dumps in the road.

Romans Series: Paul shows that when everything is fulfilled, the Jews will be saved because God has made a covenant with them. Since God is faithful to His covenant, He will keep His word. As non-Jews, we can learn from this by realizing that whatever God has spoken to our hearts, He will bring to pass in our lives. Just as it may seem the Jews won't be saved, things in your life may seem like they won’t work out. However, it doesn’t matter how things appear now. If God has promised it to you, it will happen. It may not happen when you expect, but God, in His wisdom, knows the right time.

Romans Series: In Romans 11:1-24, Paul explains that God has not rejected Israel despite their current unbelief; a remnant remains chosen by grace. Israel’s rejection of the gospel has opened the door for Gentiles to be included in God’s salvation plan. Using the metaphor of an olive tree, Paul illustrates how unbelieving Israelites were like branches broken off, while Gentiles were like wild branches grafted in. However, Paul warns the Gentiles not to become arrogant, as they rely on the root of Israel’s covenant promises, and he assures that Israel can be grafted back in if they return in faith.

Daily Study: Believers will often say, "If God wants me to go this way, then He will open a door of opportunity," or, "this door closed because God has something better for me." God can open and close doors of opportunity, but the state of the door (aka opportunity) doesn't indicate the will of God for your life. As an entrepreneur, the Lord is constantly speaking to your spirit ideas to either start something new or take what you're currently doing to the next level. However, how do you hear these ideas from God and how do you take them from your from spirit to launching them in the marketplace? Learn a three stage process to go from idea to launch.

When we mix God's will with our own, we are headed toward eventual failure. Unfortunately, it is very easy to taint God's will without even realizing it. However, when we do realize it, we need to get back on track, even if we've spent a lot of money going down a tainted path. Don't allow the fact that you spent money going in the wrong direction to cause you stress about changing directions, because God loves you so much that He will restore whatever you spent going down the wrong path.

Attendees discussed the importance of trusting in God's plan and not being influenced by external opinions, emphasizing the need for self-evaluation and reflection on life experiences to understand God's will. The group also highlighted the importance of making difficult decisions for the benefit of those they lead, along with the power of faith and trust in God's plan. Personal testimonies and praise reports were shared, including experiences of living in different countries, starting new jobs, and the success of a new book.

As entrepreneurs, it is very tempting to see a need and start something to fill that need. We have no shortage of money-making ideas or desires to start new ministries to fix various societal ills. However, we need to exercise a lot of self-control in this area because great ideas can break our focus and cause us to fail at what God has truly called us to do. It may be hard, but we need to say no to every great idea outside of our calling.

Our society is obsessed with credibility and credentials. If you are a chef, they want to know what culinary school you went to. If you’re a business coach, they want to know what successful business you have personally made a million dollars from. If you say you are starting a ministry, people want to know what theology school you got your ministry degree from. These questions are basically trying to judge or challenge your credibility. However, the only credibility you need is simply these two words: “God said.”

Daily Study: In our guru culture of coaches and mentors, we are being programmed to follow other people’s paths to success. This is tempting to our intellect and emotions because we believe that if somebody has made six or seven figures doing it a certain way, then we’ll also be successful if we just follow their way. However, this rarely happens.

If you look at the results of the guru’s students, they rarely reach the same level of success as the guru. And of course the guru says that if you take action, you will make it just like me. Well, people are taking action, and it is still not working.

The reason it is not working is because another person’s path to success is not your blueprint from God. And by the way, this also applies to trying to follow the success of someone else’s ministry.

Growth Lab: The love of money was introduced particularly in the context of ministry, where false teachers may exploit their roles for personal gain. Paul warns against the pursuit of wealth, highlighting that the love of money reflects discontentment and a lack of trust in God. Money itself is not evil, but the obsession with it becomes idolatry, leading people to serve money rather than God. True love, as described in the Bible, involves serving what or whom you love, which is why Jesus warned that one cannot serve both God and money. Worry over unmet needs fosters this misplaced trust in money. Instead, believers are encouraged to seek God first, trusting Him to provide and guide them in their financial decisions.

We find ourselves feeling powerless because we don’t realize who we are in Christ and that God has given us the power of decision. And with this power comes great responsibility, but it is our power to use.

For example, many women in abusive marriages look to pastors and Bible teachers to answer the question, “Should I get a divorce or should I stay?” And many women get answers that they find unsatisfactory in either direction, and they are plunged into a feeling of powerlessness.

Or maybe you are in a job that you hate, and you want to quit your job and start a business. But others are telling you to be responsible and not quit. Or perhaps you are called to the ministry, and your church leadership disagrees with you or doesn’t notice your ministry call.

Yes, seek counsel from a pastor and trusted advisors, but at the end of the day, the decision (right or wrong) in any area of your life is yours to make.

Everyone has a place in the Body of Christ. However, to know where you fit, you need to understand how the Body of Christ functions. In today’s message, I present a parable (analogy) that paints a picture of the Body of Christ to help you see how it works.

They explored challenges in transitioning from ministry to local church, emphasizing the importance of decision-making without emotional attachment. The meeting covered various topics, including CFE local chapters and the significance of aligning with God's guidance in leadership.

Your way is any way that is planned and implemented without the counsel of God. Most times you have good intentions, because you are walking in God’s calling for your life, so it seems like you are in God’s will. However, no matter how great your intentions, your way can lead to unnecessary delays and collateral damage to your marriage, friendships, followers, finances, and/or health.

God gave you a vision to be in your own business or ministry full time. However, in the meantime, what do you do until the vision fully manifests? Is it a lack of faith to do something else while you wait for manifestation? Or maybe you should use your faith to jump directly into the vision? In today’s study, discover through the Word of God what you should be doing in the meantime.

After nearly three years of starting and leading a local church in Atlanta, I made the difficult but necessary decision to close it. Today, I shared this decision with the congregation, and in this podcast, I’ll walk you through the process I used to reach this point. My hope is that by sharing my journey, I can offer you a framework for evaluating whether any of the assignments or projects you’re working on might also need to come to a close this year.

Heavenly Father, I thank You that Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). I trust that You have good plans for my life, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). I commit my ways to You, knowing that as I acknowledge You in all my ways, You will direct my paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). I believe that You are working in me, both to will and to act according to Your good purpose (Philippians 2:13). Today, I seek Your guidance and ask that You reveal Your perfect will for my life. I surrender my own desires and plans to You, and I am confident that Your will is good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2). Thank You, Lord, for giving me wisdom generously as I seek it, and for guiding me into all truth through Your Spirit (James 1:5, John 16:13). Today, I walk in faith, trusting that You are leading me every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A tricky trap is allowing the vision God gave you to become your god. When this occurs, you become obsessed with the vision, which leads to stress and anxiousness. Also the vision becomes unsuccessful and destructive to your life. If you continue in this way, at some point, God will remove the anointing for the vision from you.

It is not an accident that the moment you accept God’s calling for your life that an unexpected sickness or a financial hardship comes your way. These things are attacks of Satan to imprison you in pain and lack to stop you from succeeding in your calling. Well, don’t fall for this trick. Use your authority to knock down those prison walls and achieve your calling.

As you are implementing the calling God has given you, unfortunately bad situations will occur along your journey. However, when a bad situation happens, don’t focus on why it happened, instead just ask God to fix it and keep pressing until you receive victory. Asking why is a waste of energy and time, and usually doesn’t yield satisfactory answers. There is a peace in not focusing on the bad, but continually pressing toward good.
