Today I will be telling you about the disobedient girl who married the skull

On our last episode, I was telling you about Agu na eche Mba and the great battle that is about to shake the animal kingdom. I am sure you want to know who won, I will tell you, don’t worry.
The kingdom had a land, air and water force of over 15 thousand beasts, birds, and reptiles. The Leopard King gave the signal for the battle drums and trumpets to be sounded. And so, 15 thousand strong male and female of the kings Army matched out unto the valley of Ugwu Ocha to meet Odum the lion and his allies in battle.

Many centuries ago, when black men lived in harmony with the wild beasts and subtle cattle in the jungles of Africa, before the great war in the animal kingdom and the invasion by the white cavemen, before the man lost the trust and love of beasts – the Leopard was the king of the Animal kingdom. He was loved by all, both humans and animals alike. He was blessed with wisdom, beauty and strength. He was the envy of the entire animal realm. The Leopard King was of a royal bloodline, as the animal kingdom practised a true and absolute monarchy. His closest allies were the Tiger (Agu) and the Lion (Odum), who were chiefs and members of a noble lineage of cats. Although Chief Odum was not particularly on the king’s good books – he was tolerated, as his great-grandfather had played a great role in the last war with the first wave of the white cavemen who crossed into their land.

Today I will be telling you about The Igbo myth of creation, that is about how the world was created according to the Igbo tribe.
For the Igbo people, they say the heavens were in good condition as all the Gods and Goddesses who they believed existed before humans lived together in one part of heaven. However, each one of them was selfish, and therefore very anarchical. This then became the cause of great worry in the heavens as jealousy and greed came upon these Gods and Goddesses. These deities were fighting against themselves just so they could obtain the powers of other gods. To stop this domineering attitude, a plan was then made by Chineke, the overall God. This was targeted at creating more people.

Last time, I told you about Mbe na Ejula, that is Tortoise and the snail and how Mbe killed the Queen and covered her corpse after meeting the soothsayer. I am sure you want to hear the rest of the story. I will tell you all about it (break)
When he had done this, he went back to his friend – Ejula – and said to him, “Get your rifle, let go –a- hunting for monkeys have destroyed the maize on my farm”. On hearing this, Ejula greatly rejoiced, walked briskly into the house and took up his rifle, hung his hunting bag on his neck and picked up his hunting dog and off they went.

Once upon a time, na ofu ’obodo in a certain land, the Igwe gave a directive to the town crier and said: “Use the Ogene and announce to all my subjects that there is a task I’ll show them, that anyone that first finishes his own, I’ll give him my daughter, Adaeze’m in marriage.”
The Town-crier then did as his master instructed. It came to be that when the day dawned, the Mbe awoke and picked up his matchet and went to his friend - Ejula and suggested that they go and know why the Igwe is calling them.

Once upon a time, all the birds were invited to a feast in the sky. They were very happy and began to prepare themselves for the great day. They painted their bodies with red camwood and drew beautiful patterns on them with uli.
Mgbekwu which is the tortoise in Igbo saw all these preparations and soon discovered what it all meant. Nothing that happened in the world of the animals ever escaped his notice; he was full of cunning.

There was a time in an Igbo village when monsters torment little children and teenagers at night. The villagers tried to capture and kill these monsters but all their efforts ended up in vain.
In this same village, a beautiful girl named Obaledo lived with her parents.
She was very beautiful that princes from faraway lands competed to win her heart.
