Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froone were living their best life. They had just graduated from college and wanted to celebrate by going on the adventure of a lifetime- Panama! One day, Kris sent her BF a quick FB message letting him know she and Lisanne would be going on a hike and then.. no one ever heard from them again. 10 weeks later their remains were found 14 hours walking distance from the trail's head. Their phones and cameras had been in use on and off for 11 days before being turned off for the final time. What happened to them? His life and his life's work was shrouded in mystery and it's only fitting that his untimely death was also. On October 3rd, he was found in a gutter on Election day dressed in someone else's clothing... 4 days later he was dead. Fueled by delusions and hallucinations, his final words were, "Reynolds, Reynolds, Reynolds." Was this Poe's attempt to name his killer? Or was it simply the hallucinations of a dying man? Could he have acquired rabies? Was it, perhaps, an undiagnosed brain tumor? Was it cooping? What on Earth IS COOPING?! This is the puzzling (and most likely unknown to you) case of Rudy Allen Rothberg. This case is almost half a century old and there doesn't seem to be any resolution in sight. We'll talk about my hometown, and a neighborhood considered "undesirable" by local officials. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, today we will be delving into a cryptid of latin origin. The Chupacabra is a relatively new creature, first reported in the 1990s. The first sighting was made on the tiny island of Puerto Rico and since then, sightings have been reported thoughout the world. One thing you may not know, is that not all locations view the chupacabra the same. HALLOWEEN SERIES!! Welcome to the 2nd episode of the 2022 Halloween Series! Today we'll discuss the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. While you may be familiar with the tale- did you know that the town of Sleepy Hollow is a real place you can visit? It has the old bridge that leads straight to the little dutch church. In the late 1910's a dark entity began terrorizing the, usually jovial, city of New Orleans. Some called him a dark spirit. Others called him the boogeyman. But the killer himself wanted to be known simply as: The Axe Man. I first learned about this case several years ago and it has been haunting me ever since. This case is devastating and just goes to show how important it is to follow protocols when obtaining evidence and DNA at a crime scene. In 1993, these protocols didn't exist, so it was no fault of the officers working the case... but the fact remains that by handling evidence the way that they did is the reason this case remains unsolved to this day. Sharon was 16 when she met James Kinne at an LDS church function. The two began a steamy relationship, which ended in August when James went back to BYU for school. But then, Sharon found out she was pregnant, so the two married. Except Sharon was never pregnant. A few years later, Sharon realized the "vanilla life" James had to offer wasn't for her.
