I have it on good authority, that this was originally a Christmas movie and they took out all the holiday references after they made it.

This clunker was based on a Christmas movie. This was during Mathew MCConnananananhey’s dark Romantic Comedy stage of his life.

A MOVIE WITH “GHOSTS” IN THE TITLE AND ONLY ONE GHOST? Matthew McConaughey’s “Ghost of Girlfriends Past” is torn apart with author Bob Powers, comedian Amanda Melson, actor Joe Mortimer and host Adam Spiegelman.
Then things get real when Joe and talk with intern and ladies man Jordy. Last time they talked with Jordy he was going to Vegas with four ex-girlfriends and his current girlfriend. We find out what happened in Vegas. Please return it to Vegas when you are done.

IF YOU LIKE THE SHOW– LEAVE A COMMENT, RATE US ON THE ITUNES, POST AN EPISODE – SPREAD TEH NEWS. THANKS. YOU ARE MY FAVORITE. ALWAYS HAS BEEN.
To understand the last gag, Bob and Amanda are married…hence the joke at the end of the show about them being married.

  • 12 - The Writer of Michael Keaton’s “Jack Frost” tells all

Jeff Cesario (Play with Pain Podcast) talks about writing a  Michael Keaton movie, “Jack Frost”  where he turns into a snowman. And Movie Man, Brett Berg, breaks down the movie. Before Keaton  was “Birdman” he was “Jack Frost.” We talk to one of the writers of the film and review the movie!

My friends a frequent guests Paul Sullivan and Jeff Cesario talk about about Jack Frost. We were recording an episode about “The fish that saved Pittsburgh and Jeff drops the bomb that he co-wrote “jack Frost!!!” what the what!??! Jeff, by the way, wrote for the Larry Sanders show and was the comic that was always bumped from the show. So Jeff gives context and behind the scenes stories.
But first! Brett Berg, who used to program films for the legendary Cinefamily theater and is now a hot shot at Alamo Drafthouse Theaters in LA, talks about his take on Jack frost. We were at a party he threw where he showed a 45 minute version of Jack Frost. He said he felt like the showing the whole film would pissed people off, so he just showed the good parts. He also did an edit of “Silent night deadly night 5: the toy maker” with Micky Rooney. We didn’t get a chance to talk about it. As you can hear, there was a party going on outside, so it was hard to do a longer interview.
We have a sponsor, Tee Public. It’s great quality cool t-shirts. Go to Proudlyresents.com/shirts for star wars life day, breaking bad, the room an dother themed christmas shirts. Also a great place to get gifts. They are running a sale right now. So their normal decent price is now low. I love their shirts and I was able to curate the ones I think you’ll dig too. I hope you liked the show. Go to Proudlyresents.com/fish to hear the full interview with Paul and Jeff. Besides tearing about “The Fish that saved Pittsburgh they talk a lot about writing for comics like Dennis miller and Garry Shandling. Jeff came on this show a few times playing his very funny character, chet the sports guy. I’ll have links to those episodes and the many funny reviews Paul has done on our show.

As you can tell from my voice, which is more nasal than usual, I’m sick! So I’d listen to the whole show at 1.25 speed. I sound normal that way.
For the holidays, I collected different movie reviews for each denomination. As you know there’s a war on christmas!
Growing up in public school, we were told that because of “the chanukah people,” and not the separation of Church and State, we couldn’t just sing Christmas carols in class. We had to sing chanukah carols. You know all those famous chanukah carols. Like Dreidel, dreidel…

In the spirit of that music teacher who must be dead by
now, we have a diverse show. We have my brother Mike  Spiegelmanripping apart 8 crazy nights, Jimmy pardo, todd levin and Sharon houston talking “Kirk cameron’s saving christmas.

I’ve been doing this podcast for a long time, maybe 6 years. Recently, since having a baby, it’s been tougher to put out episodes. Every time I’m about to quit, I get a little glimmer of hope to keep going. There’s a company that will edit my shows,

  • 9 - Jimmy Pardo, ToddLevin a& SharonHouston Roast “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas”
Jimmy Pardo,  Todd Levin  (Conan) and comedian Sharon Houston  (Punk’d) rip apart the worst Christmas movie ever made, “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas.”
Listen to more Christmas movie reviews Itunes orRSS.

Recorded live at the Improv Lab in Hollywood, CA.The war on the war on Christmas continues! For Saving Christmas Kirk Cameron grabbed a camcorder and a bunch of college students and did their best to fill 80 minutes. It’s a variety show of sermons, backwards logic, mumbo jumbo and “comedy.”
Kirk puts his name upfront on “Saving Christmas” like a Tyler Perry movie, just a lot less plot.
Full disclosure, there were three people in the audience and four people on stage. I never planned on selling out the place, in fact, that was three more people than I expected to show up. There was my friend John Santry. He’s game for anything though.

I, Host Adam Spiegelman,  was standing outside the Improv comedy club with Jimmy Pardo waiting for Sharon Houston when two women in their late 20’s got out of an Uber. I thought, “Oh crap. I hope they aren’t coming to my show.” They were. They were day drinking and saw the live “Saving Christmas” online. I just felt pressure all of a sudden to perform for two drunks. But they were very nice and of course, we ended up talking to them.

    From IMDB.com
Kirk is enjoying the annual Christmas party extravaganza thrown by his sister until he realizes he needs to help out Christian, his brother-in-law, who has a bad case of the bah-humbugs. Kirk’s fresh look at Christmas provides Christians the chance to see Christ is where He has always been: at the center of our Christmas celebrations and traditions.

Kirk Cameron isn’t “saving Christmas” he’s desecrating it
17 November 2014 | by Sunny ShellSee all my reviews

What’s wrong with this movie? There’s not enough time or space to cover all of it, so I’ll just share the main reasons why anyone who loves Jesus, His Word and His people should or would never watch this mockery of Christmas.
“Saving Christmas” is in direct violation of Romans 14:5-6 and 22-23, twists Scripture, reconstructs history and encourages gluttony.
There’s nothing in this film that is “wholesome” and good for anyone, believer or non-believer.
Let’s save others from Kirk and crew’s version of Christ’s first coming and celebrate (if your conscience allows) with reverence, awestruck wonder and with the true and great joy that envelopes all who are humbled by and grateful for God’s most amazing Gift–Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God.
