    Julian Burnside QC is one of Australia's foremost public interest advocates. He has been involved in prominent public interest cases studied in Consti and D&E, such as the Tampa Case and the Trevorrow Case, and he recently stood as the Greens candidate for Kooyong. During our interview, we discussed what makes a successful barrister and public interest advocate, balancing public interest work and commercial work, and the importance of the arts in his life. Unfortunately, we experienced some technical problems during recording, so the audio quality drops substantially in the second half of the interview, so apologies in advance.
