- 14 - Ep. 11 Bryant revisits Calvin and Hobbes
The Days are Just Packed by Bill Watterson, came out in 1993. For Bryant, he was collecting as many of these volumes containg the adventures of Calvin and Hobbes as he could. Visual mediums powerfully share big, sometimes uncomfortable, and often whimsical truths. Bryant was drawn to the iconic art and the way Hobbes, Calvin's stuffed tiger, takes on a personality of his own when only Calvin is around. In their adventures, Bryant found wonder and new frontiers through reading. Watterson's two protagonists have a lot to share with us: anoying teachers, big questions in all life stages, and of course -- soaking the next door neighbor with a waterballoon. Join us as we revisit this iconic duo and think back to your own experiences with comics, any that you still remember?
