On September 24th, Rivers of Nihil will release their fourth full-length, The Work, via Metal Blade Records . Reading, Pennsylvania's Rivers Of Nihil have never fit neatly into a box, but with 2018's Where Owls Know My Name, they transcended all labels applied to them. Returning in 2021 with The Work, they have forged further into new territory, delivering an album that is as cerebral as it is visceral, and that covers a staggering sonic range, definitively placing them in a category of their own. Inarguably a very dense, heavy collection, The Work is far too dynamic to be considered a solely metal record, and there is a genuine warmth that shows through, particularly on "Wait" and the gorgeous "Maybe One Day," and the band have included far more clean vocals alongside the screaming that tears through many of the heavier tracks. NOTHING MORE Daniel Oliver Life Changing Metal Interview. We spoke about the fact that the band spent 10 years as independant... This interview was recorded backstage of Paris Download Festival in 2018 ▬ About Nothing More ▬ Nothing More is an American rock band from San Antonio, Texas. Formed in 2003, the band spent much of the 2000s recording independent albums and struggling to maintain a steady lineup or attract record label interest. Towards the end of the decade, the band's long-time drummer, Jonny Hawkins, decided to switch to being the band's frontman and lead vocalist, stabilizing the band's core lineup along with other long-time members Mark Vollelunga (guitar) and Daniel Oliver (bass). The band self-funded and recorded their fourth studio album, Nothing More, over the course of three years and used it to gain the attention of Eleven Seven Music record label, who signed the band to a five album record contract upon hearing it. The album became the band's breakthrough release in 2014, with multiple charting singles, including "This is the Time (Ballast)", which hit number 1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart and number 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and "Mr. MTV", "Jenny", and "Here's to the Heartache" all charting in the top 15 of both charts. Metal Interview de DEAD TREE SEEDS représenté par Alexandre Prudent pour parler de l'album "Push the Button". ▬ About DEAD TREE SEEDS ▬ From the ashes of the Thrash TRIAKANTHOS project, Nico and Alex decided in 2009 to continue the adventure, and completed a line-up by finding Franck on guitar, Tom on bass and Alban "Shamane" on vocals. The foundations of a solid band resolutely oriented towards old-school thrash are laid. The band makes its first concerts in very modest rooms but keeps a steady rhythm. The arrival of Pierre to replace Franck gives a more technical and ambitious direction to the sound, without leaving aside the brutal violence and they continue to scour the halls of the Paris region (in particular the Bastille Stage) with a few dates in the south of France. The style becomes more complex, going from a thrash inspired by the great classics of Metallica or Megadeth and Slayer, to the most violent fringe of the first Kreator or Sepultura, passing by some more groovy forays like Testament or Pantera. Finally in April 2013 the 1st album of Dead Tree Seeds (Seeds of Thrash) is released Following this album, Pierre and Tom decide to leave the band to devote themselves to other projects, both musical and family. 2014, Aurelien (guitar) and sidi (bass) joined the band, followed by numerous concerts almost everywhere in France with in particular the first part of Angelus Apatrida 2016 marks yet another change following the departure of Alban in Germany and that of Nico for musical differences. Dead Tree Seeds continues its journey and composes 8 songs in order to prepare the recording of the 2nd album in line with the first. At the end of 2017 Ivanne on guitar and at the start of 2018 Frank Vortex on vocals joined the band with directly 3 concerts in 2018 including the first parts of no return, Mercyless, Insanity Alert ... In early 2019, Ivanne left the band for professional reasons and was replaced in the process by Francois. Steve Harris was attending the convention, so he had to think of something special. With musicians from several bands he performed a set of rearranged acoustic Maiden songs. The reactions from the crowd were overwhelming. The idea that became a show then became a project. A project to bring all kinds of musicians and fans together to celebrate the music. Maiden uniteD presents classic Iron Maiden songs in a new and exciting light. Acoustic re-arrangements that transform the songs into something that Iron Maiden fans would have never imagined hearing. Maiden uniteD has released 3 albums and an EP'. "Mind The Acoustic Pieces" is an all-acoustic reinterpretation of the classic 1983 album 'Piece of Mind' with new arrangements. This release was accompanied by a European club tour and also brought them to the Download festival and Wacken Open Air. 'Across The Seventh Sea' features some well-known and some less well-knowsntracks by Iron Maiden. The guest musicians are Perttu Kivilaakso (Apocalyptica) on the album and Lee Morris (ex-Paradise Lost), Stef Broks (Textures) and Luke Appleton (Iced Earth) as tour guests. The album 'Remembrance' even featured Maiden veterans Bayley and Di'Anno and was toured extensively with several tour guests as well. They closed off this chapter with a show at the Royal Theatre in Amsterdam with guests Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) and Perttu Kivilaakso. Here they played their Empire of the Clouds suite, which was released as an EP on June 8th 2018. After what Simone Simons describes as “having been sitting in a high-speed train without stopping at any destination whatsoever”, the band in 2018 decided it was high time for a well-deserved rest. As soon as the »The Holographic Principle« cycle came to a close with their 1000th show, the band went into hiatus. Alright, alright, they still finished their very first autobiography “The Essence of EPICA” during that time, but you just can’t expect a band like EPICA sitting still, idly twiddling their thumbs now, can you? “It was the first real break we allowed ourselves,” Simone Simons says. “It did us all good and gave us a chance to reflect on what’s been happening since 2003. COMMUNIC consists of highly skilled musicians that deliver quality metal with variety and originality. The music has a progressive touch in some experimental form, yet easy to listen to, quite moody, mellow and emotional, and a mix of influences from the 80's and 90's metal scene, but most of all it's a mix of the different approach each member of the band has on the music, thus giving it the unique sound and feeling, that makes it hard for fans and media to compare COMMUNIC to just one other band. In the beginning of 2019, Oddleif was starting to write and put together new material for their 6th album. When most of the ideas and sketches for the songs where ready, the band spent a long weekend at a cabin by the shore in a southern fjord in Norway, where they set up their gear and some basic recording equipment to arrange the songs together. Already here at this remote place, away from distractions, the idea for the album title already emerged together with the core structure of the songs. Pät Sundström et Hannes Van Dahl, membres du groupe SABATON étaient de passage en Tunisie au mois d'août 2019 pour tourner leur clip Seven Pillars Of Wisdom sous la direction de Mehdi Jouini. L'occasion était trop belle pour profiter de leur présence et enregistrer une interview. L'engagement était de ne diffuser cette interview qu'une fois le clip mis en ligne, ce qui fut fait le samedi 21 décembre 2019.
