- 4249 - BRIDE IN WEDDING DRESS MOWED DOWN DEAD: DRUNK DRIVER SNIVELS 'GUILTY' IN COURT
Samantha Miller and her fiancé, Aric Hutchinson, spent the night celebrating their wedding. When the newlyweds left the reception, a speeding car struck the golf cart they were riding in. Police say Jamie Komoroski was driving 65 mph in a 25 mph zone. Bride Samantha Miller was killed.
Jamie Lee Komoroski told officers at the scene that she was heading home when something hit her. However, her home was in the opposite direction. Komoroski admitted to drinking that night but refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Komoroski, 25, was charged with three counts of DUI with great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide. As Judge Deadra Jefferson prepared to begin jury selection for the trial, Jamie Lee Komoroski asked to change her plea from not guilty to guilty. She did not negotiate a plea deal, meaning the judge was not obligated to show leniency for sparing Miller’s family a trial.
Judge Deadra Jefferson sentenced Komoroski to 25 years for reckless homicide, 15 years for two counts of DUI with great bodily injury, and 10 years for felony DUI. The sentences run concurrently, meaning Komoroski will serve 25 years in prison. She is now requesting her sentence be reduced.

Mon, 16 Dec 2024 - 4246 - MISSING TEXAS MOM SUZANNE SIMPSON’S DNA ‘FOUND ON HUBBY’S SAW’
The arrest affidavit for Brad Simpson, accused of murdering his wife, provides a detailed timeline of his activities the day before he reported her missing. The husband and father spent the day running suspicious errands, some of them in front of his 5-year-old daughter.
The day after neighbors overheard the Simpsons fighting, Brad Simpson’s truck filled and emptied as he drove around San Antonio. First, Simpson placed his phone in “lockdown mode,” preventing location tracking. Forced to rely on surveillance footage, police spotted Simpson’s truck at a grocery store at 12:33 a.m.
The truck bed was empty except for an ice chest. The next morning, when Simpson took his daughter to school, two full white trash bags had been added to the bed. Later, when Simpson was seen at a Boerne Whataburger drive-thru more than an hour later, police observed a heavy-duty trash can and a firewood rack weighing down an object covered by a blue tarp.
Law enforcement uncovered damning evidence that led a grand jury to indict Simpson not only for tampering with evidence but also for murder. Lab testing revealed Suzanne Simpson’s DNA on a reciprocating saw from Simpson’s toolbox.
In his first court appearance, Brad Simpson wore red prisoner attire with his hands cuffed in front of him. He swayed back and forth in his swivel chair, speaking only to confirm his identity and converse with his attorney.
Although the hearing was brief, Simpson was observed with what has been described as a sly grin.

Mon, 16 Dec 2024 - 4244 - BLOODY AMBUSH ON 2 KANSAS MOMS; AUTOPSIES SHOW TORTURE?
The full autopsy reports on Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley have been released. Both reports identify the cause of death as multiple sharp force trauma. The reports list a total of 30 wounds on each victim, including 9 stab wounds and 21 cuts.
Many of Butler's wounds were consistent with defensive injuries.
A police affidavit states that Tifany Adams allegedly made statements implicating herself in the deaths of Butler and Kelley.
Investigators believe Butler and Kelley were lured to the location, arriving around 9:40 a.m. Officers found pools of blood, Butler’s glasses on the ground, and a broken hammer at the scene. Police believe the women were then forced into another vehicle.
The probable cause affidavit contains extensive details, but the women’s causes of death were not initially disclosed. Their bodies were discovered in a cattle pasture leased by Tad Bert Cullum, the boyfriend of Tifany Adams.
Cellphone data from three burner phones purchased by Adams helped narrow down the location. The phones first pinged near Butler's abandoned car, and the data later led police to the pasture. Officers found signs of digging. A hole, which had been refilled, contained the bodies of the two women.
Investigators cite a custody battle over Butler’s two children as the motive. The custody dispute had lasted more than five years. Butler’s ex-partner, Wrangler Rickman, who is Adams’ son, had custody of the children. However, Rickman was confirmed to be in a rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma City at the time.
Butler was allowed supervised visitation with her children every Saturday. According to her attorney, she was likely to gain unsupervised visitation in an upcoming hearing.
The affidavit states, “Adams vehemently opposed this and went to great lengths to plan and purchase items used in Butler and Kelley’s murders.” It continues, “Adams, Cullum, Cole, and Cora were willing to kidnap and murder two victims to limit visitation for Butler.”
Court documents also allege that Adams and her accomplices attempted to kill Butler in February. Adams, her boyfriend, and another couple reportedly drove to Butler’s home near Hugoton, Kansas, intending to kill her. A witness told investigators the plan was to throw an anvil through Butler’s windshield to make it appear as an accident, but Butler did not leave her home.
State investigators retrieved data from Adams’ phone showing searches for terms such as “taser pain level,” “gun shops,” “prepaid cellular phones,” and “how to get someone out of their house.”
According to the documents, Adams purchased five stun guns before the women disappeared. She also bought three prepaid burner phones from a nearby Walmart. All the burner phones stopped transmitting on the morning of the women’s disappearance.
After the attack, the bodies were reportedly stored in a sealed freezer before being buried 4 to 8 feet underground.

Fri, 13 Dec 2024 - 4239 - MARRIED WISCONSIN DAD FAKES DEATH, FLEES TO UZBEKI HOTTIE, BUSTED
Ryan Borgwardt is back in the USA after months of living in the country of Georgia. After searching Green Lake for almost two months, a change in the investigation strategy gets results right away, when it is discovered that Borgwart has his passport checked by Canadian authorities one day after he is reported missing. Since local law enforcement found his Passport in his house when he disappeared, a simple investigation finds that Ryan Borgwardt claims his passport was lost and he is issued a new one three months before he vanishes.
Before returning, Borgwardt records a video saying he is safe and secure, wrapping up the video saying, "hope this works". Borgwardt does not give exact details about where he is located. The video is then sent to the sheriff's office.
Ryan Borgwardt tells authorities how he was able to fake his death and make his escape. First, he says he travels about 50 miles from his home in Watertown to Green lake. On the lake, he overturns his kayak, dumps his phone in the lake and paddles to shore using an inflatable boat for children. Borgwardt tells investigators he chose Green lake because it is the deepest lake in Wisconsin, nearly 240 feet deep.
Now Borgwardt's wife has filed for a separation.

Mon, 09 Dec 2024 - 4229 - Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan: Bodies in the Medical School Basement
In the summer of 1989, a construction crew working in the basement of a building at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta stumbled across thousands of human bones. The acquisition and disposal of the remains has been kept secret.
It happens again in 1994, a crew discovered an old well containing human remains while constructing a new medical sciences building on the campus of the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) at Virginia Commonwealth University. The well is called the Limb Pit.
It happened one more time at Harvard in 1999. During renovations at Harvard’s Holden Chapel in 1999, a worker operating a mini bulldozer stumbled across human remains when his machine broke through a wall into an old well.
Joseph Scott Morgan explains how it's possible to find human bones that have been hacked, cut with a saw, chisel, or knife, and then hidden so the law can't find them.....and it isn't a crime.

Sun, 08 Dec 2024 - 4228 - Convicted Killer Susan Smith's Dancing With The Stars Dreams Dashed?
Thirty years after Susan Smith drove her car into a lake with her two sons strapped in their car seats, she sought parole. A parole board denied her request, and a suitor later revealed that Smith had dreamed of appearing on “Dancing with the Stars.” She is reportedly “devastated” that her bid for parole failed.
After high school, Susan Leigh Vaughan married David Smith. They had two sons, but the marriage faltered despite the children. The couple separated multiple times. During one separation, Susan began dating Tom Findlay, the single son of a wealthy mill owner. Smith imagined a future with Findlay until she received a "Dear John" letter from him, stating he did not want an instant family.
On the night of October 25, Susan Smith knocked on the door of a house near John D. Long Lake. Hysterical, she told the man who answered to call the police. She claimed an armed Black man had carjacked her at a red light, with her two boys—3-year-old Michael and 14-month-old Alex—still in the car. For days, Susan repeated increasingly inconsistent versions of the carjacking story.
Eventually, Smith confessed. There had been no carjacker. Feeling desperate, alone, and suicidal, she had taken her sons for a drive. At John D. Long Lake, she put the car in neutral, jumped out, and watched as the car sank. Scuba divers later found the vehicle with the boys still strapped in their seats.
Since her conviction and incarceration, tabloid reports have alleged that Smith told prison investigators about four sexual encounters with Lieutenant Houston Cagle, a supervisor at South Carolina’s Women’s Correctional Institution. C
Cagle admitted to having sex with Smith and another inmate. In August 2000, he was charged with the offenses, pleaded guilty, and served three months in jail. Captain Alfred Rowe also pleaded guilty to having sex with Smith and received five years of probation.
Over the years, several men have written to Smith, fueling her hopes for a life beyond prison.

Sat, 07 Dec 2024 - 4226 - "BLACK SWAN" BALLERINA LOSES SELF-DEFENSE BID: SENTENCED 20 YEARS
Ballerina and aspiring model Ashley Benefield stood trial for shooting her then-husband, Doug Benefield, to death. After her self-defense claim failed, a court sentenced her to 20 years in prison.
The couple married just 13 days after meeting. They had one child, but their relationship was tumultuous, with frequent arguments reported between Ashley and Doug.
Ashley Benefield alleged that Doug was abusive and volatile. As her pregnancy progressed, she moved in with her mother, denying Doug access to information about the baby, including the child's birth.
Ashley planned to move out. Doug arrived at Ashley's home with a U-Haul truck to help pack for a move to Maryland. He believed he would move with the family but intended to live in a separate home.
Ashley claimed that Doug became angry while loading the truck, "body-checked" her twice, struck her hip with the corner of a box, and caused her head to hit a wall. Fearing for her safety, she ran to her bedroom and retrieved a gun.
She alleged that Doug was standing in the doorway and lunged at her. Ashley fired the gun, hitting him twice—once in the leg and once in the chest. The chest wound caused lung damage and severe bleeding. Investigators determined that Doug was not directly facing Ashley at the time of the shooting.

Fri, 06 Dec 2024 - 4224 - CLAIM: HAWAIIAN BEAUTY “MISSING AT LAX” GREEN CARD SCAM? MEXICAN CONDO HIDEOUT?
The FBI has been pulled into the Hannah Kobayashi missing persons case after it's been discovered that she may have engaged in an immigration marriage scam. Hannah Kobayashi is reportedly married, and her new husband was on the Los Angeles flight with her. She’s now listed as voluntarily missing. Police say Kobayashi indicated her intention to "disconnect from the world."
McDonnell announce that investigators tracked Kobayashi to Mexico and have her on video walking into that country alone with her luggage on Nov. 12, four days after her arrival at LAX.
It’s coming up on the one month mark since Hawaiian beauty Hannah Kobayashi went missing. The 30-year-old got on a flight along with her ex -boyfriend, headed on a bucket list trip to New York. She intended to visit an aunt in upstate New York and take photos at a DJ's show in Brooklyn. The pre-planned trip was non-refundable so Kobayashi and the ex agreed to fly together to New York and go their separate ways upon arrival. The flight arrives at Los Angeles International Airport 9:53 p.m. The connecting flight to JFK in New York was scheduled for 11:00 p.m. Kobayashi never made it to the connector, and the search was on.
Kobayashi was seen in the next few hours at multiple sights around Los Angeles, then all communication stopped. A worried family reports the woman missing, and a wide scale search by police was launched.

Fri, 06 Dec 2024 - 4222 - SHOCK VIDEO: HEALTH BOSS GUNNED DOWN IN TARGETED ATTACK, SHOOTER’S FACE CAPTURED
At 6:46 a.m., patrol officers from the Midtown North Precinct responded to a 911 call about a person shot in front of the Hilton Hotel on Avenue of the Americas. At 6:48 a.m., officers arrived and found the victim, Brian Thompson, 50, CEO of United Healthcare, with gunshot wounds to his back and leg.
A manhunt is underway for the shooter, who police say waited for Thompson to exit his hotel. According to investigators, the suspect arrived at the location on foot about five minutes before Thompson's arrival. Thompson was walking alone toward the Hilton after exiting his hotel across the street.
The shooter, described as a light-skinned male, was wearing a light brown or cream-colored jacket, a black face mask, black-and-white sneakers, and a distinctive gray backpack. The suspect stepped onto the sidewalk from behind a car, ignored other pedestrians, approached Thompson from behind, and shot him in the back. The suspect then walked closer to the victim and continued shooting. Police believe the gun malfunctioned as the shooter cleared a jam and resumed firing.
The suspect fled on foot northbound into an alleyway before getting onto an electric E-City bike and riding toward Central Park. Police have released several photos of the suspect, including a full-face image.
At the scene, officers recovered three live 9mm rounds and three discharged 9mm shell casings with the words “Deny,” “Depose,” and “Defend” inscribed on them.

Thu, 05 Dec 2024 - 4220 - HAWAIIAN BEAUTY MISSING @ LAX, DUMPS “MODERN” LIFE, IMPLODES FAMILY, IN TIJUANA?
In a surprising development, Hannah Kobayashi's family learned she crossed into Mexico on November 12 at 12:13 p.m., after no communication since November 11 and no sign of her since that date. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) investigators reviewed surveillance footage at the U.S.-Mexico border, which clearly shows the 30-year-old crossing on foot into Mexico.
The footage reveals Kobayashi crossing alone, carrying luggage, with no indication she was accompanied. Investigators determined she had checked her bag through to New York but later requested it be sent to her at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Surveillance video from November 11 shows Kobayashi retrieving her luggage from the baggage carousel.
Using video and still images, LAPD created a timeline of Kobayashi's movements in Los Angeles from November 8 to November 11. After collecting her luggage on November 11, she traveled through the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to Union Station, where she used her passport and cash to purchase a bus ticket to the border. The following morning, she took a bus to San Ysidro, California, and crossed the border into Mexico via a pedestrian tunnel.
The LAPD stated they would not release the surveillance footage of Kobayashi crossing the border due to privacy concerns. A department spokesperson explained that as a private citizen who has not committed a crime, Kobayashi is entitled to privacy. LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell reiterated this, saying she "has a right to her privacy."
Although Kobayashi's family has urged police to continue searching for her, the LAPD confirmed they are not investigating further. They stated Kobayashi has left the country voluntarily, is not suspected of a crime, and there is no evidence she is being trafficked.

Wed, 04 Dec 2024 - 4217 - TEEN CHEERLEADER FRENZY STABBED BY BOY, 15, DAD TRIES TRACKING APP TO FIND BODY
Savannah Copeland cheered at Powell Middle School’s first basketball game of the year. Her father, Michael Copeland, got up early before the rest of the family and was pulling into work when he received a call from his wife, Amanda. She told him that Savannah was not in her bed when they woke up, and she couldn’t find her. Savannah was missing.
Michael rushed back home to search for their daughter. Using the Life360 app, which tracks phone movements, they were able to see the path Savannah had taken and the time of her movements. The app indicated that she went missing between midnight and 2:30 a.m., but it did not show her exact location. Starting in the general area, the family went door-to-door asking if anyone had a doorbell camera that might have recorded the direction Savannah was heading, but they had no luck.
They contacted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, and deputies began searching for Savannah Copeland. Nearly 12 hours after the deputies were called in, Michael Copeland heard sirens and immediately feared they were for Savannah. A teenager walking along a popular trail behind a public swimming pool in the Broadacres neighborhood of Powell found Savannah’s lifeless body.
Deputies arrived at the scene and secured the area. Detectives from Major Crimes and Juvenile Crimes, along with the Knox County Medical Examiner, began collecting evidence and processing the scene. Savannah Copeland had been stabbed multiple times with what appeared to be a small knife and was left to bleed to death alone on the dirt trail.

Tue, 03 Dec 2024 - 4215 - EERIE TWIST: HAWAII BEAUTY DISAPPEARS BETWEEN FLIGHTS AT LAX, WHERE’S HANNAH?
NOTE: After our broadcast, Los Angeles Police announced Hannah Kobayashi had been seen on security footage crossing the U.S. border into Mexico. She was alone, on foot, with luggage in hand. The case is now classified as a voluntary missing person case.
30-year-old Hannah Kobayashi is on a bucket list trip from her home in Hawaii to New York, where she is going to visit an aunt in upstate New York, and take photos at a DJ's show in Brooklyn. Kobayashi plans the trip with her boyfriend but they breakup before the planned trip. Unable to get a refund they agree to fly together to New York and go their separate ways upon arrival. Hannah and her ex arrive at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday at 9:53 p.m. and have a connecting flight to JFK in New York scheduled for 11:00 p.m.
Pictures show Hannah Kobayashi arriving in a black hoodie with colorful sweatpants, while wearing a pair of headphones as she walks through LAX. Her ex-boyfriend makes it to the connecting flight to JFK in New York, but Hannah does not. There isn't a lot of time between landing from Hawaii and catching the connecting flight to JFK, just over 60 minutes, and some believe she simply missed the connecting flight and will take the next available flight on Saturday. Her suitcase is on the plane to JFK.
After missing her connecting flight to New York, Hannah Kobayashi remains at LAX Friday night into Saturday. On Saturday between 12 noon and 3 p.m. she is seen at "The Grove". According to Discover LA, The Grove is a World-Renowned Shopping, Dining, and entertainment destination. Located about 10 miles from LAX, Hannah Kobayashi sends a photo to her aunt at 2:43pm from Taschen Books where she is charging her phone. On the evening of Saturday, November 9, Hannah Kobayashi makes two payments via Venmo on November 9. One payment is made at 6:25pm to a woman named Veronica Alamendarez. The payment includes a description of a bow and arrow emoji. Less than one hour later at 7:19 pm, Kobayashi makes a Venmo payment to Jonathan Taylor. In the subject line of the second Venmo payment is the word "reading".
Sunday November 10th, Hannah Kobayashi is back at The Grove in downtown Los Angeles and is seen on a video posted to YouTube at the LeBron James Trial Experience at the Nike Store. A photo of the event is posted on Kobayashi's Instagram account. Hannah had been texting with family members telling them she couldn't wait to get to New York, and it was a nightmare trying to get another flight.
Hannah Kobayashi is keeping in regular contact with family and while she is frustrated about getting to New York there doesn't seem to be anything to worry about, until Monday, November 11 when a series of text messages to family and friends causes alarm. Kobayashi's mother sends her a text asking if she has made it to New York and Hannah responds "no". Then friends and family start getting messages from Kobayashi's phone saying someone has stolen her identity and all of her money. Concerned, family members try calling and texting but don't hear back from Hannah.

Fri, 29 Nov 2024 - 4207 - BOY, 7, DISAPPEARS FROM SCHOOL SCIENCE FAIR: WHERE'S KYRON?
Skyline Elementary School in northwest Portland Oregon is having their annual science fair so the school is opened about 30-minutes earlier than normal to allow parents and students to see the different projects created by the students. Arriving at Skyline just after 8 a.m., Kyron Horman and his stepmother, Terri Horman, go to his classroom and drop off his coat and backpack. Kyron then shows his stepmother his exhibit called "The Red-Eyed Tree Frog".
The two walk around the classes looking at other students' projects and see many other parents and children who have arrived early for the science fair. Terri Horman volunteers her time helping Kryon's teacher, Kristina Porter, and Porter sees Kyron and Terri Horman in Kyron's classroom that morning and another teacher sees Kyron and Terri in another classroom before the 8:45 a.m. school bell rings
As Terry Horman leaves the school, she sees Kyron walking down a hallway toward his classroom inside Skyline Elementary. Kyron has already placed his bookbag and coat in Miss Porter's classroom when he first arrived for the science fair. Miss Porter starts her class as like every day, then reading group, then recess, then lunch. Around 3pm the children, tired from a busy day, get on the bus to go home.
Kyron Horman's father Kaine is at home getting his daughter ready to meet Kyron's bus after school. When Kyron doesn't get off the bus, Kaine Horman assumes there is confusion and Kyron is waiting to be picked up at school. The bus driver calls the school to see if Kyron is waiting to be picked up and finds out from the front office that Kyron has been marked absent, he hasn't been at school all day.
Investigators build a timeline quickly as they search for Kryon Horman. The 7-year-old arrives at school with his stepmother, Terri Horman, around 8 a.m. for the Science Fair. Kyron and his stepmother see teachers and other parents touring the classes, and Terri Horman says goodbye to Kyron in the hallway that goes toward his classroom at 8:45 a.m. near the south entrance of the school. Investigators say Kyron is seen by one more person around 9 a.m. but they will not identify the individual.

Colleen goes to get Morgan around 10:45, but the 6-year-old is nowhere to be found.
Alma PD and Crawford County Sheriffs assume Morgan just wandered off, but adult witnesses say they saw a man trying to talk to a little blonde girl—and his red truck left the parking lot shortly after they lost sight of her. Months later, Alma PD get several reports of attempted kidnappings with the same key detail: a red truck. During one attempt, a bystander manages to write down his license plate number. The driver is identified as Billy Jack Lincks, but he denies involvement in Morgan's disappearance.
Years later, investigators decide to track down Lincks' truck. Inside, they find blonde hairs that are a DNA match to Colleen Nick, leading them to believe Morgan was once inside. Lincks died in prison on unrelated charges 5 years after Morgan's disappearance.
Investigators are still searching for Morgan Nick, unsure if they will find a now 36-year-old woman, or a little girl’s remains. The FBI is asking for any information on Billy Lincks’ life. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the National Center for Missing and Exploited children at 1-800-THE-LOST.

Wed, 27 Nov 2024 - 4203 - HEARTBREAKING REVEAL: MOM SAYS MISSING GIRL, 6, "EATEN BY WOLVES," WHERE'S OAKLEY?
Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Brad Johansson told the press, "We are hoping for the absolute best but, unfortunately, preparing for the worst." He was referring to 5-year-old Oakley Carlson, who is missing. Her parents have been arrested for not cooperating with investigators.
Oakley Carlson was just 8 months old when foster parents Jamie-Jo and Eric Hiles took her in. Over the next two years, she became part of their family. However, during Thanksgiving, Washington's Department of Children, Youth, and Families reunited Oakley with her biological parents, Jordan Bowers and Andrew Carlson. Nine months later, Oakley was missing, but no one realized it immediately.
After a fire at the home of Bowers and Carlson, Oakville Elementary School Principal Jessica Swift visited to bring supplies for the family. During her 45-minute visit, she did not see Oakley. When she asked about the child, Bowers and Carlson claimed Oakley was in her room.
Later, Oakley's sister attended a sleepover at Swift's home. When Swift inquired about Oakley, the girl became upset and said, "Oakley is no more." Pressing further, Swift was told that Oakley had returned to her former foster parents. Concerned, Principal Swift contacted the Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office to request a welfare check.
Officers located the family in a hotel room, where they were staying due to the fire damage. Oakley was not with them.
The parents provided inconsistent accounts of Oakley's whereabouts and eventually stopped cooperating. A search of their home revealed no signs that Oakley had lived there recently, as well as a bloody handprint on a wall in a downstairs hallway

Tue, 26 Nov 2024 - 4201 - TOT BOY, 2, VANISHES FROM CAMPING TRIP: WHERE IS DEORR?
On a whim, parents Vernal Kunz and Jessica Mitchell decide to take their 2-year-old son, DeOrr, camping near Leadore, Idaho.
Mitchell invites her grandfather, Robert Walton, and Walton's friend, Isaac Reinwand, to join them. The group arrives at the Timber Creek Campground after dark and sleeps in the next morning. Kunz, Mitchell, and DeOrr go into town for gas and groceries, returning to camp around 1 p.m.
By that time, DeOrr should be settling in for a nap, but his parents decide to explore the campground. Reinwand is off fishing upstream, so Walton agrees to watch DeOrr while Mitchell and Kunz take a walk downstream. A few minutes later,
Kunz returns to camp to show DeOrr a school of minnows. However, the toddler is nowhere to be found. Walton says DeOrr started following his parents on their walk, and he assumed they had him. After searching for several minutes, Mitchell and Kunz call 911.
Investigators quickly rule out kidnapping, as the campers would have seen a car leaving the area, and focus on searching the Timber Creek Campground. Both Lemhi and Bonneville County sheriffs, along with hundreds of volunteers, search for days.
Dive teams spend hours combing the creek near the campsite and Stone Reservoir, a shallow body of water feeding the creek. Foot searchers spread out over a three-mile radius, checking even animal dens, but find no sign of DeOrr.
Just over a year into the investigation, Jessica Mitchell and Vernal Kunz are named suspects in their son's disappearance and presumed death

Sun, 24 Nov 2024 - 4198 - Susan Smith Leaves Her Children to Drown in a Lake, Now Wants Out of Jail
Thirty years after Susan Smith drove her car into a lake with her two sons still strapped in their car seats, she is seeking parole.
After high school, Susan Leigh Vaughan married David Smith. They had two sons, but the children did not hold the marriage together. The Smiths separated multiple times. During one of these separations, Susan began dating Tom Findlay, the single son of a wealthy mill owner. Smith envisioned a future with Findlay until she received a "Dear John" letter from him. He explained he did not want an instant family.
There had been no hijacker. Feeling desperate, alone, and suicidal, she had gone for a drive with her sons buckled in their car seats. At John D. Long Lake, she put the car in neutral, jumped out, and watched it sink. Scuba divers later found the vehicle with the boys still strapped in the back seats.
Since her conviction and incarceration, tabloid reports have alleged that Smith told prison investigators about four sexual encounters with Lieutenant Houston Cagle, a supervisor at South Carolina’s Women’s Correctional Institution. C
agle admitted to having sex with Smith and another inmate. In August 2000, he was charged with the offenses, pleaded guilty, and served three months in jail. Captain Alfred Rowe also pleaded guilty to having sex with Smith and received five years of probation.
Over the years, several men have written to Smith, fueling her hopes for a life beyond prison.
In March 2022, People Magazine published excerpts from letters Smith wrote to a long-distance boyfriend. In one letter, she wrote, "I can't wait to build a life with you, leave the past mistakes behind, and start fresh, just you and me."

Sat, 23 Nov 2024 - 4196 - Judge Rules Against Gabby Petito Family in Moab Police Lawsuit
Gabby Petito was strangled by her then boyfriend Brian Laundrie while the pair were on a cross-country van trip. The FBI report states that Laundrie confesses to the murder in a hand written notebook, found near the remains of Laundrie's body after he committed suicide. According to the report, Laundrie tried to cover up Petito's death by using the woman's debit card, and then also sending text messages from her phone, to give the impression that Gabby was still alive. During the trip, a domestic violence episode was caught on Moab police body cam, after a 911 call came in reporting a man slapping a woman.
The footage shows Petito was injured with scratches and bruises. Police determined however that Petito was the aggressor, after she admitted hitting Laundrie. The pair was separated for the night, with no domestic violence counseling.
Petito's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Moab Police Department. Utah's 7th District Court Judge Don Torgerson dismissed the case, citing governmental immunity. Torgerson said he is bound to follow the law as it currently exists and follow rulings of other courts. The Petito's attorney argued to end just the police immunity. He added the Court of Appeals has the authority to determine whether the governmental immunity law is constitutional.

Sat, 23 Nov 2024 - 4195 - DIDDY JAIL-CELL RAID: DEMANDS "DIG UP DIRT" ON VICTIMS
As part of an interagency contraband sweep at the MDC, agents confiscated 19 pages of notes from Sean Combs’ belongings and turned them over to federal prosecutors.
The notes included inspirational quotes, reminders about family and financial matters, and a "To-Do List." The list instructed a family member to, quote, “find dirt” on two potential victims and, quote, “find everything” on another victim.
Attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed shock and outrage upon learning prosecutors possessed the notes for weeks before notifying the defense. He accused prosecutors of a "complete institutional failure" and claimed Combs' constitutional rights were violated, as the notes contained privileged materials. The defense is now seeking dismissal of the indictment or recusal of the prosecution team.
Prosecutors argued no wrongdoing occurred, stating the notes were reviewed by a "filter team" to ensure they contained no privileged information before prosecutors saw them. Federal agent Mary Slavik maintained her team acted “in a completely appropriate fashion” regarding the documents.
Judge Subramanian called an emergency hearing on the matter. Combs appeared unshackled, a privilege granted for future court appearances. He seemed more at ease, hugged his attorneys, and surveyed the courtroom.
Judge Subramanian ruled the notes inadmissible as evidence and ordered prosecutors to destroy all copies of the documents.

Fri, 22 Nov 2024 - 4193 - PREGNANT MOM, 25, MISSING, FAMILY'S DESPERATE PLEA: WHERE'S EMMA?
Heading into the ninth month of her pregnancy, Emma Baum finds out on October 4th that she is already dilated one centimeter. Six days later, knowing the baby will be here soon, Emma has her sister drive her to boyfriend, and father-to-be Antwon Butler's house in Gary, Indiana Thursday evening. Emma tells her sister she will see her tomorrow and goes inside.
Friday, Emma Baum does not reach out to her family members even though they are expecting her to come home. After waiting all weekend, Emma's mother, Jamie Baum, calls Butler and asks to speak to Emma. Antwon Butler tells Jamie that Emma isn't there...he saw her leave with a girl in a car. However, Butler changes his story several times and family believes he is being less than truthful. The family reports Emma Baum missing and tell the police Antwon Butler was the last person to see Emma. As it happens, Antwon Butler has an outstanding warrant for failure to appear, so he is picked up and taken to jail on charges not related to his missing girlfriend.
Weeks of searching for Emma have led to no results and the family of Emma Baum are at a loss for what to do next. Standing in front of Antwon Butler's house in Gary, Indiana, the family asks local tv crews to get the word out, begging for the safe return of the mom of three and her newborn.

Thu, 21 Nov 2024 - 4191 - JUSTICE! LAKEN RILEY MURDER SUSPECT GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS
Jose Ibarra, the sole suspect in the murder of University of Georgia jogger Laken Riley, has been found guilty on all charges. The ten charges include three counts of felony murder, malice murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, and “peeping Tom.”
In emotional testimony, University of Georgia Police Sgt. Sophie Raboud detailed the final moments of Riley’s life, breaking down the timeline into minutes. Before her final jog, Riley texted her mother at 8:55 a.m., asking if she was free to talk. At 9:03 a.m., Riley called her mother. She then listened to music and was seen on a trail camera at 9:05 a.m., holding her iPhone in her left hand as she jogged toward the intramural fields. By 9:06 a.m., Riley ran out of the camera’s view.
Minutes later, at 9:11 a.m., Riley activated the SOS function on her iPhone to call 911. The dispatcher was unable to speak with her before the call was disconnected. The dispatcher attempted to call back twice but received no answer. Riley’s phone later received a call from her mother at 9:24 a.m. When Riley failed to respond, her mother sent a text at 9:38 a.m. reading, “Call me when you can.”
During closing arguments, State Prosecutor Shelia Ross outlined the evidence supporting each charge, describing Ibarra as “a monstrously guilty individual.”
Defense attorney Kaitlyn Beck presented two alternative theories: that DNA was transferred onto clothes found in the apartment, implicating Ibarra’s brother Diego as the murderer, or that Ibarra may have been an accomplice but not the primary culprit.
Ultimately, Superior Court Judge H. Patrick Haggard found Jose Ibarra guilty on all counts.

Wed, 20 Nov 2024 - 4189 - DEAD EYES: LAKEN RILEY MURDER SUSPECT BLANK STARES AT BODY VIDEO, "SLEPT LIKE BABY" AFTER MURDER
Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old migrant from Venezuela, faces 10 charges, including malice murder, three counts of felony murder,
kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, aggravated battery, obstruction of a person making an emergency call, tampering with evidence, and Peeping Tom.
On the eve of jury selection for his murder trial, Ibarra waived his right to a jury trial during a pre-trial hearing and requested a bench trial. A judge will now hear the case and render a verdict instead of a jury. The presiding judge, Superior Court Judge Patrick Haggard, is known for his no-nonsense approach.
Haggard has personal experience with violent crime, as his father, a salesman, was fatally shot during a gunfire exchange with two men attempting to rob him in a Georgia apartment complex in 1992.
Special Prosecutor Sheila Ross alleges that Ibarra was "hunting for women" on the day of Laken Riley's murder. Ross stated that Riley fought fiercely against her attacker, leaving marks on Ibarra and securing his DNA under her fingernails.
She highlighted video evidence allegedly showing Ibarra disposing of a black jacket in a dumpster.
The same jacket, according to Ross, contained both Riley's and Ibarra's blood. Additionally, Ibarra is accused of leaving a fingerprint on Riley's iPhone while attempting to stop her from calling 911.

Tue, 19 Nov 2024 - 4187 - SHOCK TWIST IN MYSTERY DEATH OF BRIDE-TO-BE AFTER SHE'S VICIOUSLY STABBED 20 TIMES, BIZARRELY RULED SUICIDE
Ellen Greenberg was found stabbed to death in her apartment, with at least 20 stab wounds. She was stabbed in the back of the neck and head, and the final wound was a stab to the chest, with the knife left embedded there.
Her death was initially ruled a homicide by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner. However, police disagreed and publicly challenged the medical examiner's findings. Months later, Medical Examiner Marlon Osbourne, without warning or explanation, reclassified the death as a suicide.
Since then, Greenberg’s parents have fought to have her death ruled a homicide or inconclusive, only to learn that Pennsylvania state law allows a "medical examiner to be wrong as to the manner of death but cannot be compelled to change it."
The Chester County District Attorney's office announced it could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a crime occurred in Ellen Greenberg’s death. As a result, the investigation is now considered "inactive." The DA’s office said detectives reviewed prior investigations conducted by the Philadelphia Police and the Attorney General's office, interviewed new witnesses, and consulted with an independent forensic expert.
A spokesperson for the DA's office explained, “This standard of proof—beyond a reasonable doubt—makes the criminal investigation different from other legal matters surrounding Ms. Greenberg’s death."
The Chester County DA's decision to move the investigation to "inactive" status does not change the fact that there is no statute of limitations for criminal homicide in Pennsylvania, and the case is not being closed. It will remain "open and inactive."

Sat, 16 Nov 2024 - 4182 - FLORIDA WOMAN FILMS HERSELF LAUGHING, LEAVES LOVER TO DIE IN SUITCASE: GUILTY
A jury has convicted Sarah Boone in the suitcase death of her boyfriend. Boone called 911, telling the operator that she and her boyfriend had been playing around, and she fell asleep.
When she woke up the next morning, Jorge Torres, Jr. was dead inside a suitcase, but that isn't exactly true. Although it's unclear how Boone convinced her 42-year-old boyfriend to get into the suitcase, we do know she zipped him inside and refused to let him out, no matter how much he begged. We know this because Boone recorded the incident on her phone, taunting Torres as he said he couldn't breathe and pleaded to be released.
Boone claims the couple had been drinking a bottle of wine and decided to play hide-and-seek. Court records show Torres had been in the suitcase for about three hours when Boone says she fell asleep, waking up late the next day. She says she then remembered Torres was still in the suitcase, pulled him out, found his body was purple, and attempted CPR. However, she also called her ex-husband before dialing 911.
Boone, 46, convicted of second-degree murder in Jorge Torres's death.

Sat, 16 Nov 2024 - 4181 - FREAK DIDDY: LINED WALLS, CEILING OF $500K ‘FREAK-OFFS’ WITH HUNDREDS OF MIRRORS: ‘WALL-TO-WALL' DEBAUCHERY
While the public believes Sean "Diddy" Combs is confined to a tiny cell at the MDC, he has actually been moved to the lowest-security unit in the prison, 4 North.
This unit provides access to a tablet, cards, music, TV, movies, ping-pong, air hockey, and even a peep show. Who needs expensive "freak offs" when male inmates can spy on female inmates through a grate in the floor?
Combs now faces 30 individual lawsuits. The latest accuses him of shooting at a man outside a New York City nightclub three years before the infamous Club NY shooting. DeWitt Gilmore claims he and two friends were leaving the nightclub when Combs, driven by his bodyguard, began hurling insults and threatening violence from the passenger seat of his car. Combs allegedly escalated the situation by blocking the men from leaving in their own car before firing several shots at them. Gilmore says they eventually lost Combs in traffic but could not determine what provoked the incident.
Ray J, a longtime friend of Diddy, claims many celebrities in Combs’ inner circle are fearful of being implicated in legal actions. According to Ray J, some are reaching out to potential accusers and offering cash to keep their names out of lawsuits. He also alleges unnamed celebrities have approached him as a potential “vessel” for leaks due to his friendship with Combs

Fri, 15 Nov 2024 - 4179 - WISCONSIN DAD OF 3 DEAD IN LAKE, MISSING, OR SNUGGLED UP WITH UZBEKISTAN LOVER?
On the morning of August 12, Ryan Borgwardt’s wife contacted authorities, reporting that her husband hadn’t returned from a kayaking trip on Green Lake the previous night and wasn’t answering his phone.
The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office began a search around 5:32 p.m., focusing on Borgwardt’s last known location at Green Lake. Deputies soon located his vehicle and trailer parked near Dodge Memorial Park. About an hour later, authorities found a capsized kayak in the western part of the lake, where the water is approximately 220 feet deep.
They discovered the life jacket still attached to the kayak, and volunteers joined deputies in the search for Borgwardt.
Twenty-four hours into the search, crews deployed a drone and boats to perform a grid search of the lake. As efforts continued, Sheriff Mark Podoll announced that they were focusing on the lake’s deepest areas, covering hundreds of acres with the assistance of Bruce’s Legacy, a nonprofit specializing in search and recovery.
The sheriff indicated they were now searching for a body, believing Borgwardt drowned in the lake. Three cadaver dogs and a dive team were brought in to assist with recovery efforts.
Sheriff Podoll and his team then shifted their focus to reexamine the investigation from the beginning. They soon discovered that Canadian law enforcement had run Borgwardt’s name on August 13. Although Borgwardt’s passport was initially found at his home, investigators learned he had been issued a new passport on May 22 after reporting the original one lost.
Borgwardt’s wife, Emily, provided his laptop for investigation. A digital forensic analysis revealed that Borgwardt had replaced the hard drive and cleared all browser history the day he disappeared. Investigators believe he is now in Europe.
Further findings showed Borgwardt transferred funds to a foreign bank, changed his email address, and had been communicating with a woman from Uzbekistan before his disappearance.
The investigation also revealed that he had taken out a $375,000 life insurance policy seven months before vanishing and had purchased airline cards. Sheriff Podoll stated, after all they had uncovered, that Borgwardt is “not in our lake.”
Note: After our Crime Stories broadcast, the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office posted this message on its Facebook page, "We do not believe the Tick Tock video is Ryan. We are in contact with the interviewer. Thank you to all for alerting us of his existence. We have verified this is not Ryan by contacting people who know Ryan."

Thu, 14 Nov 2024 - 4177 - MICA MILLER PASTOR HUSBAND ARRESTED: GRIM MUG SHOT
Police arrested Pastor John-Paul Miller on assault charges unrelated to his wife’s suicide.
Protesters seeking “Justice for Mica” have been stationed outside Miller’s Solid Rock Church for weeks, and their heckling has apparently affected Miller. When a woman among the protesters called out, “Here, kitty, kitty...” as Miller walked by, Miller allegedly approached her, leaned close, and slapped her baseball cap twice before walking away. Miller now faces third-degree assault and battery charges.
Miller’s attorney, Russel Long, called the arrest “outrageous” and claimed that the women recording Miller make taunting comments to bait and provoke him. Long argued that the city of Myrtle Beach has failed to protect Miller and Solid Rock Church by allowing “protesters” to stalk and harass Miller and his congregants, effectively “killing the church.”
He expressed concern that Miller’s arrest will only give protesters more motivation and momentum.

Wed, 13 Nov 2024 - 4175 - GUILTY ALL COUNTS: RICHARD ALLEN STONE-FACED AS DELPHI JURY SAYS HE MURDERED ABBY & LIBBY, LEFT BODIES IN WOODS
The jury took two minutes from entering the courtroom to announce the verdict: Richard Allen, guilty on all charges.
Allen was convicted of felony murder for Abby Williams and Libby German, as well as for knowingly and intentionally killing both girls. Judge Gull maintained order in the courtroom, where there were no outbursts, but outside on the streets of Delphi, shouts of "Guilty on all charges" echoed.
As Kathy Allen, Richard Allen's wife, left the courthouse, she was heard saying, "This isn't over at all."
The jury, composed of seven women and five men, heard 17 days of testimony, including dozens of witnesses, disturbing jailhouse videos of Richard Allen, and photos of Abby and Libby as they were found at the crime scene.
They deliberated for 19 hours over parts of four days to reach a unanimous verdict. Richard Allen was found guilty of four counts: two counts of felony murder and two counts of knowingly and intentionally killing Abby Williams and Libby German.

Tue, 12 Nov 2024 - 4173 - HORROR HOTEL: "WE TASTED BLOOD IN WATER" AT CECIL HOTEL, ELISA'S BODY IN WATER TANK
Elisa Lam embarks on a solo trip to California.
Despite her parents' protests, she reassures them with a promise to check in daily by phone. She posts on her Tumblr blog, "I have arrived in LaLa Land." She checks into the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, planning to stay in her shared hostel-style suite for four days and three nights.
Elisa is scheduled to check out of the Cecil Hotel on January 31, but she never does. Her parents grow concerned when Elisa misses her promised daily check-ins. They contact the LAPD, and a search begins for the young university student. Dogs search her room and the hotel rooftop, but there is no sign of Elisa.
Two weeks pass with no trace of Elisa Lam. The LAPD releases the last known video footage of her, hoping it will provide new leads. The video shows Elisa pressing multiple elevator buttons, gesturing to someone off-camera, and repeatedly peering down the hallway before retreating into a corner of the elevator.
Nineteen days after Elisa Lam’s disappearance, law enforcement still has not found her. Meanwhile, guests at the Cecil Hotel report low water pressure and an unusual, dark taste in the water, which has taken on a muddy, blackish color. A maintenance worker checks the rooftop water tanks and finds one of the four 1,000-gallon tanks open, with Elisa’s body floating face-up inside.

Tue, 12 Nov 2024 - 4172 - Finally! JUSTICE FOR ABBY AND LIBBY
It's taken seven years, but the families of Abby Williams and Libby German sat in a courtroom today and heard Richard Allen declared guilty by a 12-person jury. Allen was convicted on all four charges, two counts of murder and two counts of murder while kidnapping the girls. The jury listened to nearly three weeks of testimony and deliberated a total of 18 hours.
The bodies of teen girls were found near the Monon High Bridge in February 2017, in Delphi. Allen, a Delphi resident and local pharmacy tech was arrested five years after the murders. Searchers found the two girls dead in a wooded area near the Monon High Bridge. Libby was unclothed and bloodied. Both girls had their throats slit.
Allen, who confessed at least 60 times, showed no emotion or reaction as the verdict was read. He was then cuffed and taken from the courtroom.
Allen’s wife, Kathy Allen, said “this isn’t over at all” to 13 News as she left the courtroom.
Sentencing will be at 9am ET on December 20.

Shayna Hubers calls 911 from Ryan Poston's condo in Highland Heights, Kentucky, and tells dispatch "I killed my boyfriend in self-defense". Hubers tells police Ryan Poston had been beating her all day long, tossing her around like a rag doll, and when he pulled out his gun, she grabbed it and shot him in the face. Police read Shayna Hubers her "Miranda" rights, and Hubers asks for a lawyer. Even though Shayna Hubers has just been told she "has the right to remain silent" she lacks the ability, and tells investigators that she shot him twice in the face, then, as he was twitching, she said she thought he was going to die anyway or his face would be really deformed so she shot him 4 more times to make sure he was dead. Shayna Hubers tells police "I gave him the nose job he always wanted." Joseph Scott Morgan explains how the crime scene and Ryan Poston's clothes tell a different story than the one Shayna Hubers is telling and Dave Mack digs into the background of an 18-month relationship that ended in the murder of a man who seemed to be everyone's favorite person.

The man accused of molesting and killing Madeline Soto shortly after her 13th birthday will go to trial next fall. Stephan Sterns, the boyfriend of Madeline’s mother,
Jennifer Soto, faces charges of first-degree murder and 60 other offenses, including sexual battery, molestation, and possession of child pornography.
Hundreds of evidence photos offer a detailed view of the Kissimmee condo where Madeline lived with her mother and several roommates. At one point, Stephan Sterns rented the third upstairs bedroom, which was otherwise unoccupied.

Fri, 08 Nov 2024 - 4164 - DELPHI VERDICT WATCH: JURY DELIBERATES MURDERS OF ABBY, 13, LIBBY, 14
Richard Allen's fate is now in the hand of the jury. Twelve men and woman have been tasked with determining, back on the evidence presented, whether or not Allen is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The burden of proof is on the state. The judge told the jury in their instruction that "beyond all possible doubt” is not their guidepost. She said defendants are not convicted on suspicion, and that the jury decision must be unanimous.
The defense surprised the courtroom yesterday by resting their case, not calling as many witnesses as expected. Closing arguments today were completed by lunchtime. Just after 1pm the jury went behind closed doors to pick a fore person. Deliberations will continue until 4pm today, unless the jury chooses to stay and deliberate longer. Sunday is the only day, deliberations won't take place.

Thu, 07 Nov 2024 - 4162 - DIDDY CELL-EBRATION WHINES ABOUT BIRTHDAY GRILLED-CHEESE AS GRAND JURY LOOMS
Sean "Diddy" Combs marked his 55th birthday behind bars at the MDC, receiving a call from his children and enjoying a "breakfast cake" as his first meal of the day, followed by a choice of pizza, salad, or pasta for dinner.
The disgraced mogul faces his birthday amid a push to instate a gag order as new allegations emerge from witnesses and complainants. The latest claim? A grand jury witness reportedly possesses at least eight of Combs’ sex tapes featuring A-list celebrities, some of whom may be minors.
Courtney Burgess, reportedly a friend of the late Kim Porter, told reporters outside the courthouse that he testified before the Diddy Grand Jury. Burgess claims Porter entrusted him with 11 flash drives shortly before her death. According to Burgess, the drives contain at least eight tapes depicting Combs with various A-list celebrities, whom he describes as victims, with two or three allegedly appearing as minors. Burgess says he no longer has the tapes in his possession.
Two days after Burgess’s public comments on his testimony, Combs’ legal team submitted a letter to Judge Subramanian, urgently requesting a gag order. The defense cites Burgess’s media comments and a New York Post article quoting a federal agent as “improper pretrial publicity” that, they argue, is making it “impossible” for Combs to receive a fair trial.

Wed, 06 Nov 2024 - 4160 - MICA MILLER'S PASTOR-HUSBAND HOME RAIDED BY FBI AFTER HER MYSTERIOUS 'SUICIDE'
Pastor John-Paul Miller was not home when the FBI Evidence Response Team raided his South Carolina residence.
The FBI declined to specify what they were searching for, and spokesman Kevin Wheeler told USA Today the agency was conducting “court-authorized law enforcement activity.” Wheeler added that, due to the ongoing investigation, no further comment would be provided.
Russel Long, attorney for Pastor Miller, criticized the FBI’s actions, calling them a “fishing expedition.” He stated, “There was no affidavit attached to the search warrant, so I have no idea what it’s in relation to.” Throughout the day, members of the FBI’s Evidence Response Team entered and exited the home, carrying paper bags and other items.
Days before the raid, Pastor Miller filed documents with the South Carolina Secretary of State to incorporate a new religious organization, Living Water Church at Market Common. The filing describes the nonprofit as serving religious, educational, charitable, and literary purposes, listing Miller’s Myrtle Beach residence as the business address. Miller also formally updated the address of his existing church, Solid Rock Ministries, to its current location.

Tue, 05 Nov 2024 - 4158 - DELPHI MURDER SUSPECT'S COLD 8 WORDS TO WIFE: "I DID IT. I KILLED ABBY & LIBBY”
Prosecutors rest their case after 12 days, spending time proving that Richard Allen is infamous "Bridge Guy" captured on Libby German's phone. Prosecutors believe Libby and Abby were led down the hill to be raped before their killer panicked, slashed their throats and covered their bodies with sticks before fleeing the area. One of Richard Allen's 61 + confessions said he got scared by a white van.The prosecution found a neighbor got home in his white van near the scene of the murders.
The defense calls their first witness, Cheyenne Mill. She is walking the trails and bridge the day Abby and Libby vanished. Says she was there from 2:50pm, talked to her boyfriend on her phone at 3:12 pm, saw an overweight man on Freedom Bridge who did not say HI back to her. She describes the man as old with a camera around his neck. Mill tells jurors she didn't hear of seeing anything unusual or see anyone in the wooded area and she spoke to police the next day after hearing about the girls. Six months later the FBI contacted her saying her phone pinged on the Hight bridge February 13. Mill cries on stand talking about online vigilantes doxing her.

Sat, 02 Nov 2024 - 4153 - Trial Delay in Rachel Morin Murder
Rachel Morin's mother cried as the man charged in her murder walked into the courtroom. It was the first time Patty Morin had seen Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez in person. Now, a judge has granted a defense request to postpone the trial to April 1, 2025.
The suspect in Rachel Morin's brutal murder was found casually sitting in a Tulsa, Oklahoma bar. During the arrest, Hernandez initially lies to authorities about his true identity and denies any knowledge of the attack on a 9-year-old little girl in Los Angeles and the murder of Morin.
The Morin family and investigators strongly believe that the two known crimes are not the only ones Victor Hernandez committed while in the U.S. The attack on a little girl and her mother in L.A. came just two months after Hernandez allegedly murdered a woman in his native El Salvador.
Rachel Morin’s body was found nearly five months later, and another 10 months passed before Hernandez’s arrest. More than a year of Hernandez’s time in the U.S. is still unaccounted for.
While there is a sense of closure, Morin’s sister, Rebekah, says it also feels like "day one all over again."
Matt McMahon, the father of Morin’s eldest daughter, says the Ma and Pa trail feels like it ‘belongs to Rachel again,’ and is even more grateful for the arrest as their daughter, Faye, is now expecting her own little girl later this year.
McMahon describes the news as bittersweet, knowing how excited Rachel Morin would be to learn she was going to be a grandmother.

Sat, 02 Nov 2024 - 4152 - GLAM-MOM MURDERS SLEEPING HUBBY, WHINES JUDGE 'RUINING HER LIFE"
A judge ruled that Jennifer Gledhill cannot have contact with her children. Prosecutors say the children could be witnesses.
The defense claims the protective order is "an overall heavy-handed kind of punishment." Defense attorney Jeremy Deus told the judge, "It feels like the state, the city, and the police agency that investigated this are trying to set everything my client loves on fire." The judge lifted the protective order but maintained a no-contact order.
A police informant helped break the case when he told police that Matthew Johnson was murdered by his wife, Jennifer Gledhill. Pressed for more details, the informant claimed he knew what happened because he was having an affair with Gledhill, who had confided in him about the incident.
According to the informant, Gledhill told her "lover" that her husband yelled at her after discovering she was seeing someone else. Later that night, when he went to sleep in their shared bed, she allegedly shot him in the head. The informant also claimed Gledhill said she placed Johnson's body in a rooftop storage container, slid it down the stairs of their home, and loaded it into a minivan. She reportedly told him she dug a hole "north" of their home and buried the body in a shallow grave. Matthew Johnson remains missing.
Investigators also spoke with a neighbor who reported that Gledhill's parents were at the house cleaning late into the evening, despite her mother’s claim that they had only been there for an hour. Gledhill's mother allegedly said she bought a mattress from Amazon at her daughter’s request. Jennifer Gledhill's parents have now been arrested as well.

Fri, 01 Nov 2024 - 4150 - DIDDYWEEN: COMBS' HALLOWEEN FRIGHT NIGHT, NEW GRAND JURY CHARGES
The investigation into Sean "Diddy" Combs has entered new territory as a New York federal grand jury hears new evidence. According to an attorney representing some victims, a male client of hers is testifying today.
This development follows new information about requirements Combs’ employees reportedly enforced for admitting women to his White Parties. According to sources, these requirements included: women could not weigh over 140 pounds, with weight verified by a nearby scale.
Other restrictions included no flab, cellulite, excessive piercings, or heavy tattoos. Women had to avoid short hair, pants, or jeans and instead were expected to be young, attractive, and dressed provocatively. Each woman had to wear a short party dress just covering her buttocks, along with stilettos.
