God tells us that we "must support the weak" (Acts 20:35). It is a theme through Scripture. To do justice through merciful love. In Part 1 we ask the questions, what does it mean to support the weak, why is it important, and how do we do it?

As Christians, we are ambassadors of Jesus, so everything we say and do matters. James reminds us in chapter 2 that there's no such thing as a little sin. If you've broken one part of the law, you've broken the whole thing. Praise God for His grace that is greater than all my sin!

James took care to focus not just on what a Christian should think, but what they should do as a result. This week Marcus challenges us to aim for specific "I will..." actions based on what we believe.

Happy Resurrection Sunday! What a difference a day makes. From death to life, from condemned to forgiven, from hopeless to hopeful. Jesus' resurrection changed everything!

Jesus is a better king. Jesus is the perfect king. Pastor Pat teaches on the difference Jesus makes.

In the book of Philemon we see that God often asks us to do hard things. When we obey Him, we get to see the truth of Romans 8:28, that He works all things for the good of those who love Him.

As we conclude our series in the book of Jonah, we see his relationship with a plant that gave him shade, and the people God sent him to speak to. Jonah was more concerned with the plant that brought him comfort than the souls of the people who made him uncomfortable. The question we need to answer is 'will we have a heart for lost people like God, or will our heart be selfish like Jonah's?'

God loved the Ninevites, and God loved Jonah. He could have sent anyone to deliver His message, but He wanted to work in Jonah's life. What is God working out in your life? Sometimes the challenges are what He's using to stretch and shape us.

Like the prodigal son, Jonah had run from God and come up empty. From the belly of the fish he cries out to the Lord, and finds Him ready to receive him and give him a fresh start. God loves to give mercy to those who come to Him, including you and me.

Charles Spurgeon once said "God never allows His children to sin successfully." Jonah was running from God, encountered a ferocious storm, and was swallowed by a great fish. In chapter 2 we have a recording of Jonah's prayer from the belly of the fish, and can learn the distinction between sorrow, confession, and true repentance.

Jonah was running from God, and sleeping in a sinking ship... not a good look for God's messenger. The church is called to be ambassadors of Christ to all the world. Are we running, sleeping, or obeying?

There's a little Jonah in all of us. God sends us one way and Satan is happy to provide transportation in the other direction. Join us to see how God uses storms to show His grace.
