Looking at the light, she thinks it looks like a reflection, and this sends her thoughts back to the box in the barn and the things she found inside. Bobby and the Dinosaurs is a story about Bernice’s friend Bobby and what he decides to do on a rainy day. Bobby wakes up and has his day all planned until he looks out the window and sees the pouring rain. Bobby’s world has ended, and he has no idea what he can do now. His mom suggests a science project, but Bobby says he doesn’t like science anymore, so he decides to build a time machine and return to visit the dinosaurs. He heads off to his room to see what he needs for the machine.

Red and the gang are finally looking at the Dr. Hart mystery. Alexa has scanned the journal pages for each of them, and they spend time looking at the pages and trying to figure out what Dr. Hart might have been trying to tell them. Red continues to search after they hang up, and what she finds leads to bad dreams.

Libby is tired and does not feel much like getting up. She was awake late studying and reading a new book. Margherita's head-butts her to get her moving just before her mom starts calling her for breakfast. It is Halloween, and Libby's mom has the day off, so she decorates the house for the trick-or-treaters. Libby said she was not going out, so her mom asked her to get dressed and help her pass out candy. When Libby gets home from school, she is amazed at all the decorations her mom has put up, but Margherita does not feel the same way.

It was going to be a spooky day at school, and Bernice was super excited. The kids were dressing up and having a party. Bernice finishes her costume and takes a picture with Cookie to show her friends. When she gets ready for bed, she asks Papa Bear to tell her a spooky story but to make sure it is not too spooky as it is time for her to go to sleep, and she is tired. Papa Bear says okay and starts his story.

Ghostie is a little ghost trying to get ready for Halloween with his classmates at Creakmore Academy. They are all working on the art of spooking as Halloween is just around the corner. Ghostie’s friends all seem to be doing a great job, but Ghostie is having some trouble. Will he ever be ready for Halloween?

Red cannot believe the things she has found in the box. The more she thinks about it, the more she is sure there is more to this than they can see. When she arrives with the box at lunchtime, she tells the gang she thinks they are missing something. Alexa scans Dr. Hart’s journal, and they all have a look to see what they could be missing.

Jake is so tired. He is busy swimming and is having a hard time sleeping because he would rather watch his favourite show. When Jake wakes up during the night, he sees shadows on the wall and hears strange noises, 2 a.m. What is going on? He gets back to sleep, but on the third night of hearing the sounds and seeing the shadows, he has a plan. He is going to sneak out of the house and get proof. Jake will finally prove to his family that his neighbours are vampires.

It is that time of year, and Bernice cannot wait to get ready for Halloween. Papa Bear and Bernice always make her costume together and have already discussed some ideas. There is a big Halloween party at school, and Bernice wants to have a great costume. She tells Papa Bear that Bobby and Gertrude are going to be buying their costumes this year and asks if she can do the same.

Everett enjoys school but isn’t enjoying the extra responsibility that Grade 4 brings. When he learns that he has homework to do over the weekend, he cannot believe it. Ev, as he is usually called, can’t get his work done fast enjough and when he finds a shortcut, realizes how lucky he is until he gets to school on Monday and hears the other students talking about their homework and he realizes maybe he shouldn’t have taken the shortcut.

The Princess of Prince Street Helps Jiggles is another adventure with Princess. Princess has not been out that much recently, as her owners have taken much time off during the summer. Now that they are back at work, she looks forward to getting out and seeing her friends and the neighbourhood. Princess waits until she is sure her owners are not returning, then explores. This time, she heads in another direction and goes to Prince Street School to see what is happening.

Red cannot believe her eyes. There is no way the charm on this necklace could be a homing beacon. How could it have gotten here? And these pictures? When her mom comes in and sees the picture and the chain, she turns very pale, and Red knows that she is about to find out more than she had counted on.

Red and the other girls have solved the playground mystery and think Mr. McCaskill probably arranged the whole thing to get them to give credit to the custodian, Mr. LeClair. Once Red is home, she eats dinner and talks about her day before heading to her room to relax and read some University-level science books. Red remembers that she needs to take Dr. Hart’s box back to school the next day, so she gets it out from under her bed. Seeing the box again brings back the uneasy feeling that she thinks there is more here than she can see.

Timmy's still got a big adventure ahead: he's racing to the library! With his trusty pony, Tinkle, and a bag of snacks from kind Miss Elara, they race towards BarleyBrook. The journey's much longer than he thought. Will they make it to the library before the sun sets?

It is getting colder outside, and practices have started. Bernice gets home from hockey and wants to surprise Papa Bear, but Cookie breaks her concentration. After talking to Papa and having some hot cocoa, Bernice gets ready to go to Gertrude’s house for tea. They chat, eat, and spend a great afternoon together when she arrives.

Red and the girls hide by the big tree and get tired of waiting when they see movement. They squint through the dim light and try to discover who it is. They cannot see clearly and decide to get closer when they notice something familiar about the figure's movements. Alexa thinks she knows who it is, and they move even closer when Red lets out a big sneeze and someone calls out to them.

Timmy's passion is reading, and he's on a quest for more books. When Grandfather can't take him to the Barleybrook library, Timmy's unexpected encounter with Tinkle inspires a daring circus plan. Will Tinkle help him reach his book-filled dream?

Alex lives in an old house just outside Montague, Prince Edward Island, and he feels his house is too far away. He remembers all his friends playing in the backyard and running through the woods with him, but they’re not here right now. Alex’s mom tells him to go out and explore, and just before he heads back in for dinner, he sees a flash of colour out of the corner of his eye.

Blue is at it again, and Red wonders what is happening with him. When Red goes down for breakfast, she asks her mom if she can stay after school to work on the mystery Mr. McCaskill gave them, and her mom says yes, but be home for dinner. When Red arrives at school, she finds out Charlie is home sick, but there is no time to daydream as she has back-to-back English classes. Kirt interviews some of the kids about what they saw and heard on the playground and the other girls get ready for the stakeout.

Timmy is a young boy who lives with his Grandpa and loves to read. He has some books in his house but has read them all before. He loves going to the grocery store to read while his grandpa shops. One day, his Grandpa takes him to see the ponies that will be in the circus, and Timmy gets to ride Tinkle. He had a wonderful time and can’t wait to ride again, but Timmy, more than anything, wants to go to the library, but his Grandpa has no time to take him. How can he get there?

Libby comes home with a project to do and is very excited to get started. She tells Margherita all about it, then puts on her headphones and gets to work. Mom is surprised when she comes into her room to see what she is doing. Libby can’t hear her mom until she taps her on the shoulder, and then they chat about her project. After dinner, Libby wants to get back up to her room to finish up, but when she gets there, a surprise awaits her.

Bernice makes a new friend at school, and Alice, her new friend, gives them all a special kind of cake to share with their families. As Bernice gets ready to go home, she sees Bobby and reminds him to take his cakes home, but it looks like Bobby may have eaten them already. Bernice takes hers home and shares it with Papa Bear while learning a bit about the cakes.

Willie and Brook Create Art is a story about a brother and sister who don’t always get along. Brook is working on a great Lego castle and when Willie wants to also build with Lego she tells him to take his Lego and go across the room. Willie doesn’t always listen, what will happen when Willie takes his things over to where Brook is creating?

Red arrives home soaked. It has been raining all day, and she does not like the rain. Her mother got her boots and a jacket, but they are green. Red gets dried off and stares out the window at the rain. Alexa starts a group chat, and they talk about their plans for the playground mystery. The group all agreed to get started the next day, and just before they hung up, Alexa mentioned that Rachel had found an old article by Dr. Hart about strange phenomena.

Libby has a lot of homework, and her teachers seem really strict about it. Mom is calling Libby for dinner, but she doesn’t get an answer. She goes up to Libby’s room and finds Libby on the floor among a pile of papers and books. When it is time for Libby to get her homework into her bag and head to breakfast, there is something missing. Will she be able to find it?

Pancake is a dog who loves running and learning outside. His mom and dad think it is time he went to regular school, and today is his first day. When he arrives at the school, he thinks it looks like a castle. When he arrives at his classroom, his teacher tells him to take a seat; he knows this will not go well.

It’s a windy day outside, and Bernice struggles with Ethan to get home from the bus. When Bernice gets inside, she chats with Cookie before going to the kitchen for a snack with Papa Bear. Bernice has lots to talk to Papa Bear about today and a problem she hopes he can help her with.

The new mystery that Mr. McCaskill has told the group about sounds like it might be interesting, so they decide to try to solve it. Once Red is home, she can’t stop thinking about the Dr. Hart mystery and the box. Something is not adding up for her, and she can’t figure out just what it is.

The Fisherman and His Wife is a story about never being happy with what you have. The wife in the story is not happy with what she has, and when her husband catches an enchanted prince and lets him go, she makes him go back and ask for something in return. The fisherman goes back and asks the fish for one thing after another as his wife always thinks of something better she wants until the last time he asks and gets a surprise when he returns home.

The gang is meeting in the library when Mr. McCaskill shows up. They thought he had suspended the group and were surprised to see him. They catch him on their latest mystery, and he tells them they can turn it into English homework. Red thinks that sounds awful, more homework. Mr. McCaskill gives the group another mystery to solve, and they start planning before heading home.

Thanks to Blue, Red gets woken up early, but she uses the time wisely and becomes the first in the bathroom. When Red gets on the bus, Charlie and Rachel are disappointed she didn’t bring the box, but she tells them they can still meet and look for more information about Dr. Hart. Red makes it through the day, thinking about her friends and life on Mars. She heads to the library to see what is going to happen next.

This story is about a young girl leaving home with her family on an adventure. This trip was not her idea, but she had to go. School on board the Orion is a hybrid approach, and Mia spends a lot of time studying. When she meets Miru, she gets frustrated by the changes made to her schedule, but in the end, maybe it is all for the best.

Bernice is back at school and cannot wait to tell Cookie and Papa Bear about her first day. She had trouble sleeping the night before because she was nervous or excited and worried she would be too tired at school, but she felt okay all day.

Bunny and Sue wake up early because they are excited that their aunt is coming to visit. They get themselves dressed and go downstairs to prepare some food to take with them to the train station. They are cutting a cake and buttering bread when their mother comes in and is surprised to see them up and dressed. She tells them that their aunt will not be arriving for hours.

Libby is getting ready to return to school but is not looking forward to it. She has been nervous for a week about everything that could happen. Libby chats with Margherita and tells her everything she is worried about. When Libby wakes to hear her mother call her, she realizes she is late and can’t find Margherita anywhere.

Puddles and Betsy go to look for the apple trees that Betsy remembers seeing as she wanders over to Farmer Vernon’s farm. Puddles hears some noises as they arrive, but Betsy thinks it may be just the wind. They start eating apples when Puddles hears the noise again and turns around. Foxes and raccoons surround them, and they don’t look happy.

Orion is bored. It is the last week before school starts again, and he has nothing to do. His parents had to return to work, and he is at home with his big sister. Orion has had a very busy summer doing everything he loves and now has nothing to do. He asks his sister if he can just Watch TV or play video games all day but she says no. She recommends reading a book, calling his friends, or going outside, so Orion decides to go outside.

After seeing Susan and returning to Cat City, Tucker is determined to warn the council that something is still happening. He and Vinnie walk together to tell the members what he has learned before it is too late, but are they going to listen this time?

Red showed her mother the box. Her mother feels that the items inside don’t have anything to do with Mars and that maybe Red can convince her gang to focus on learning more about Dr. Hart and turn their attention away from any thoughts of Mars. Red agrees with her mom but wishes she didn’t have to keep these secrets when there is a knock at the door.

Puddles and Splash are near the apple trees with Betsy and Bubbles. No one knows what happened to all the apples that are usually there for the animals to eat. Splash can smell tracks from foxes and raccoons, but those two animals never do anything together. Splash, Puddles, and Betsy plan what they will do the next day to try and figure out what happened to all the apples.

Bernice and Bobby went for a bike ride, and now Bobby has decided to work on his Science idea. Bobby needs a snack first because he is starving. After getting something to eat, he goes into the basement and draws out his idea. Once he has a design, he calls Bernice to talk to her about his idea, and she helps him think of ways that it can be better and safer.

In "The Rat King—Chapter 3," Tucker has seen Susan and heard all about her dreams. He is not sure what they mean but knows he needs to talk to the Council about it. When he returns to the city, he tells Vinnie what Susan told him, and they worry that it is Magic, which Susan shouldn’t be able to feel outside of the city.

Red took the box home after they dug it up and decided to tell her Mother and ask for help. When Red mentions it to her mom, her mother’s face goes very pale.

Puddles and Splash are back, and it looks like it will be a beautiful day on the farm. It has been raining so much that everyone is very excited to see the sun and can’t wait to get outside. Puddles and Splash head off to do their rounds and check on the stream. On their way back, they see Bubbles, the cow, running towards them, and they wonder what could have happened.

Bernice has just gotten home from swimming and has so much to tell Papa Bear. After she chats with Cookie for a while about what she is doing, she heads into the kitchen to tell Papa about her afternoon and have a special treat for a snack.

Nellie and Her Dolls is a story about a little girl who has been sick. While she was sick, her aunts and cousins gave her some dolls to make her feel better. Now that she is better, she would like to give some of her dolls to some sick children in the hospital, and she is asking her mom if it would be alright to give away something that has been given to her.

In "The Rat King—Chapter 2," Susan struggles to sleep and often has bad dreams, but she can’t tell her parents because it would only worry them more. She has reached out to Tucker, the butterscotch tabby, but hasn’t heard back about his whereabouts or when he might return. When she hears a noise in the hall, she closes her eyes and hopes for the best.

Red and the gang are looking for the answers to Dr. Hart’s riddle. They went to the library and then ended up at the observatory. When they read the riddle again and go out the back door, Alexa yells that she has found something. Red is very worried. What could it be? How is this going to affect her?

A rainy day on the Lawn is great for the birds. They are so happy to find mud to make their nests and worms to feed their babies. They notice Silvertip, the cat, but don’t worry, as he has just eaten. Later in the day, they see Silvertip again, and he is on the move. Will he catch one of them? Suddenly, the little boy comes running out, and he shoos Silvertip away.

Solomon Owl lives in a tree that everyone knows about. When Reddy Woodpecker decides to play tricks on Solomon, things get out of hand. Solomon has to devise a way to get some sleep and thinks hard about a solution. After he finds an answer, things are perfect for Solomon until Farmer Green gets involved.

The Little Acorn is a story about a small green acorn who thinks summer will last forever. The acorn learns that summer is just the beginning and that life will start again in the spring.

Solomon has finished trying to settle other people’s problems after having trouble with Jasper Jay and Mr. Crow’s problems. Simon, his smaller cousin and Solomon both love to eat. When they decide to go hunting together, things don’t work out quite as Solomon hoped, so they try to come to an agreement, but in the end, Simon does not get the best part of the deal.

Melody is visiting her Grandfather on Prince Edward Island and enjoying the freedom that she has there. There is none of the traffic that her mother is often complaining about, so she can run around picking berries and exploring. In the evening, Melody asks her Grandfather to tell her a story about himself, and he decides to tell her a story about himself and his dog Rastus, who saved his life.

Today is the day Bernice is going on her long bike ride with Mama and Papa Bear, but when she wakes up, it is raining really hard. Bernice cannot believe it. More rain? It has been raining so much lately, and now they won’t be able to go for their bike ride. What is she going to do?

Papa Bear tells Bernice a short bedtime story about how on a rainy day, Boo Boo decides to explore her castle's attic while her best friend, Kai Kai, the dragon, is away. The attic is filled with dusty treasures and forgotten memories. Boo Boo discovers an old book filled with captivating stories, sketches, and notes from Selena's travels, detailing her encounters with magical creatures and enchanted places.

Solomon Owl thought he was being very kind by letting Benjamin Bat stay in his home, but Benjamin Bat did not trust him. When Solomon Owl woke up early feeling hungry, he looked for Benjamin but could not find him anywhere. He figured Benjamin must have left without even saying thank you. He can’t wait to see him again and find out why.

Willie Bakes a Birthday Cake is a story about a baker who loves to bake. Willie has always dreamed of being a baker and has his own shop. Mondays are his favourite day of the week, and sometimes, he is so excited he can’t sleep on Sundays. This Monday, Willie is skipping to work, and he meets lots of his friends on his way. When he is finished for the day, a friend calls and needs help. Can Willie help them?

Bernice is on summer vacation, and Bobby is away, so she is trying to find things to do. When she and her parents decide to try an art class, Bernice comes home with lots of stories and art to share.

Solomon Owl listened to Aunt Polly’s advice and didn’t eat for a whole week while bumping into trees to get rid of the wishbone. Now, he is going back to see if he is better. Aunt Polly checks him over, and he leaves very unhappy and hungry. She tells him he should not eat for another week, but he does not listen to what she has to say.

Bernice is very excited and can’t wait for her day to begin. She wakes Papa Bear at 5 am, but he tells her he needs another 30 minutes and will make her breakfast. When Papa Bear comes down, he asks Bernice why she is so excited about today. They talk about what Bernice has done already this summer and would still like to do.

Solomon Owl has decided to take Aunt Polly Woodchuck’s advice and try to get a chick to eat, but when he arrives at Farmer Green’s henhouse, there is a problem that he, Fatty Raccoon, or Tommy Fox cannot solve. They all chat about the best way to get what they want and even ask Jimmy Rabbit for help.

It is summertime, and Bernice has been at Bobby’s house all day. They only had this day to play together before he heads off to summer camp for two whole weeks. Bernice feels like it will be forever before she sees him again.

Pixel is a Labrador, but not like any other. Though he is tiny and enjoys playing with all the other dogs, it is not the same. Pixel’s parents always watch out for him and sometimes even suggest he stay home so he won’t get hurt. One day, he does just that and finds something amazing in the basement.

Solomon Owl found Mr. Frog by the water and plans to eat him but Mr. Frog has other plans. Mr. Frog offers to make him a coat, for free, and so Solomon says yes. Mr. Frog quickly sews the coat and gives it to Solomon who looks at it strangely. When Solomon Owl asks why the coat doesn’t open in the front, or why it has a hood, Mr. Frog tells him it is the latest fashion and Solomon should just try it on. Solomon puts it on but it is not at all what he expected it to be.

Margaret is a sweet girl who always does what she is told. When she turns 8, she cannot wait to finally go to her friend Mary’s house by herself. On the way, a twig gets caught in her wheelchair tire, and she falls over, trying to stop herself by pushing on a tree, but the tree is not hard as she expected, and she gets sucked into a whole other world.

Madeline is eagerly anticipating story time, her favourite part of the day. Papa Bear is preparing to tell Bernice her bedtime story while Madeline is already tucked in and prepared. After Papa Bear finishes the story, Madeline isn't ready for sleep yet and thinks about showing her gratitude for Bernice's friendship. How might Madeline express her appreciation for Bernice?

This is a story about Solomon Owl. He lives in the woods, and his voice can be heard throughout the forest. Many of the animals are afraid of him and keep as far away as possible. Once he has found a tree to be his home, the others know which areas to avoid. When he meets Mr. Frog, Mr. Frog hopes he can sneak away.

Are you excited for summer? Bernice is. It is getting closer to the end of the school year, and Bernice is starting to feel a bit worried about the changes coming for the next school year. She and Papa Bear discuss what these changes mean for Bernice before she heads to bed.

Margaret is a girl who always does as she is asked. It’s her birthday, and she is turning eight. Margaret is very excited because this is the day she gets to go to her friend Mary’s house all by herself. After breakfast, she starts on her way to Mary’s, but something magical happens.

Greta is a young girl who loves her routine and predictability. She enjoys waking up, grumbling about the bird and eating cereal while dancing. Greta and Oscar, her dog, head out to the backyard, Greta’s second favourite place, when Greta sees something there that she has never seen before. A new tree with bubbles on it. Where did this come from?

Red cannot believe what the note says. What could this mean? As the group eats their pizza, they decide what they are going to do to find out more about the note. As they try to figure out the clues, they come up with a name that leads them to the library.

The day has arrived for the school play, and Bernice is super nervous. She can’t sleep even after trying her deep breathing exercises. She goes to Papa and Mama’s room to ask for help. Papa gets her back into bed, and she finally falls back to sleep. When Bernice gets home from school, she sits and tells Papa Bear all about her day and what happened at the play.

Luna and Pepper are back in the second part of their adventure. Luna and Pepper love their owners and feel sad that some cats don’t have homes. They decide to go out and help. They have found the cats they were looking for; now, what can they do?

Red is at school, and it is her least favourite day with two English classes. Alexa told Red about the box that she found in her backyard, and they are all hoping to go over after school, open it up, and see what is inside. Will this be a new mystery for them to solve?

Nicole and her Mother have gone to the garden together, and her mother cannot believe her eyes. When they walk through the gate and see what is on the other side, Nicole’s Mother is shocked. They look around and head back home to try and figure out what they just saw. As they sit in the kitchen talking about what was through the door and the garden, they come up with a plan for the next day.

Luna and Pepper is a story about two cats. Their owners have gone out for the day and Pepper can’t decide what to do first. She goes looking for Luna who loves to hide and jump out but Luna is nowhere to be found. When Pepper finds Luna she is sad and tells Pepper she doesn’t feel like playing.

Bernice arrives home and spends some time telling Cookie about her day. Papa Bear tells her he is just finishing up their treats and to come on in. Bernice finishes talking to Cookie and walks in and tells Papa Bear she thinks she is going to need a few extra treats today and Papa Bear is surprised when he sees her.

Red is back and ready for a new adventure. She wakes up early after a bad dream and thinks she should get up and try to get into the bathroom before Blue but falls back asleep until she hears her mother calling. After breakfast she heads off to school with Charlie and Rachel. When they arrive Alexa asks if she can meet after school with the rest of them to check out what she found in her backyard.

This is the second in our series of Red’s life on Mars before she went to live on Earth. When Red gets home, she cannot believe what her parents say. Are they moving to Earth? Why? Who would want to live on Earth? It’s all green and blue—Red must think of a way to make her family stay.

Bernice and Ethan walk home together from the bus and talk about the running they did. Bernice tells Ethan he can practice running with her and Bobby over the summer, but Ethan says he can't because he's going to camp. When Bernice enters her house, she tells Cookies about her day before going into the kitchen to talk to Papa Bear. Bernice tells Papa Bear about her day and says that it seems like a lot of her friends are going away over the summer.

Nicole visited the attic to see what her Mother had been talking about. She found a journal belonging to her Great-grandfather and decided maybe it was time to tell her Mother about all the stuff that had been happening. Will her Mother believe her? Nicole tells her everything, and then they take a walk to the garden.

Red is annoyed with Blue and gets saved by a message on the wall pad. Red loves living on Mars, all the grey and colours around, as long as there is no blue or green like on Earth. Why is everyone talking about Earth? She never wants to go there. Red meets her friend Lyria at one of their favourite spots, and they get a drink, but when Lyria tells Red her family has won the lottery and they are going to Earth, Red cannot believe it. Why would anyone want to go to Earth?

Puddles and Splash are back with a new adventure. Things have been quiet on the Hampshire Farm, and Puddles and Splash like that. After letting the animals out, they get ready to take a walk around the farm and fields before joining Farmer Vernon to fix some fences. As they head over to the farmhouse to see what Farmer Vernon left as a treat for Puddles, they find a surprise in the garden.

When Nicole walked back through the garden, she heard her Mother calling her. When she arrived at the house, she smelled something amazing. As she and her mom discussed what Nicole had done all morning, they started talking about the history of the house, and Nicole’s mom mentioned a secret room.

Bernice has a new teacher, and she thinks she is very strict. As she tells Papa Bear about her day and why she feels this way, they eat some new cookies. Bernice has some homework to do before dinner and hopes that the new teacher won’t be too angry with how she has done it.

In this story, Bernice is in bed and ready to tell her story. Papa Bear tells her a story about a unicorn named Sparkle. Bobby Blue Jay wakes up Sparkle, and when she gets out of bed, Bobby starts acting strangely. She quickly flies off and comes back with her big sister, Bluebell. Sparkle doesn’t know why everyone is acting so strangely. What could be the matter?

Nicole has gone through the door again and met Angus. Angus wonders where she went the day before, and they talk about the differences between their homes. Angus invites Nicole to come to his house and try some fresh milk, and they start walking.
