On June 9, 1959, Lynne-then 12 years old- disappeared near RCAF Station Clinton, an air force base south of Clinton, Ontario in what is now Vanastra. Her body was discovered a few days later. Steven Truscott was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death in 1959 for the rape and murder of classmate Lynne Harper. Truscott had been the last known person to see her alive. He was scheduled to be hanged; however, the federal cabinet reprieved him and he was sentenced to life in prison and released on parole in 1969. The Miyazawa family was brutally murdered on December 30, 2000 in a crime that shocked Japan and began a grim new chapter in the country's criminal history. In July 1976, 26 Children and their bus driver Ed Ray were kidnapped from the bus and put under ground by 3 men Frederick Newhall Woods, James Schoenfeld, and his brother Richard Schoenfeld. After 28 hours the captives were able to escape before being crushed to death. The men would face time for what they did. In January 2013 Kendrick Johnson’s body was found rolled up in a gym mat! The circumstances surrounding his death are very suspicious and the police involved did not handle this case as they should have with proper procedure. It was originally ruled an accident but Kendrick’s family fights for justice and believes there was foul play involved. To this day there has been no real answers regarding his death. Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother forty whacks. When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one. In this episode we dive into the life of Lizzie Borden and the trial that was presented against her accusing her of killing her father and step mother Andrew and Abby in August of 1892. She was acquitted and lived a quiet life after the fact. No one had been convicted of the murders but many to this day think Lizzie was the one to do it. On July 18th 1989 Robert John Bardo shot Rebecca Schaeffer on her door step after obsessing and stalking her for 3 years. After sending her letters and showing up to her set of the tv show she was working on didn’t work he became angry. He watched an intimate scene on one of her shows and immediately got jealous. This is when he told his sister in a letter that if he couldn’t have Rebecca than no one could. He tracked down her address using DMV records and murdered her senselessly. On December 23rd 2006 Ryan Waller and his girlfriend Heather Quan were both shot and presumed dead by their attackers Richie Carver and his father Larry Carver. Heather unfortunately died but Ryan however survived this attack and went on to try to tell police what happened. The story does get complicated because Ryan still had 2 bullets in his head while talking with police which made it extremely hard to fully give his story. Today we talk about the mysterious death of an unidentified woman who went by “Jennifer Fairgate or Fergate” which was written on her hotel in-take form. She did check in with a man as well who was written as Lois fairgate. The women wasn’t seen much and was gone for a good chunk of her stay. Housekeeping recalled her room looking barely slept in. When the hotel manager sees that Jennifer had not yet paid for her stay in this luxurious hotel he sends a security guard up to the room. He knocks and a few moments later hears gunshots. When police arrive they find the women alone shot in the head with the gun in her hand. They did this all in the name of Slenderman and were under the impression that if they killed her they would become his “proxies” and get to live in his mansion. He was sentenced to 10 consecutive life sentences a minimum of 175 years since at the time Kansas didn’t have the death penalty. Audreona Barnes went missing back in July of 2021 in Cleveland Ohio. She was last seen being dropped off by an Army Reserves recruiter and then vanished. It took months of her family’s hard work searching and advocating for her name to be heard. Months later in March of 2022 her body was found on the balcony of her boyfriend apartment that she was at the day she went missing. Could she have been found sooner? The boyfriend Bennie Washington was arrested and charged with her murder.
