This week we're covering an important topic: Ways to Overcome Mental Health Flint, Michigan native TaWanna Anderson is co-founder of the encouraging organization, Whenupray, and creator of The M;nd Ya Mental Experience, a platform dedicated to providing online and hands-on resources for mental wellness.  With an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree under her belt and certification from Mental Health First Aid, she uses her knowledge and compassion to help spread awareness about mental health in her community.  TaWanna’s transparency about her own personal experience with mental health issues, paired with her “do it scared” motto, has helped propel much-needed conversations in the Black community about the importance of mental wellness.  Since beginning her work in the mental health field, TaWanna has received acknowledgements and awards from the city of Flint, including the Black Girls Rock Survivor Award, the 2019 Builder Award, and the Helping Others Heal Award. She currently resides in Flint with her two daughters. This week we're covering an important topic: Being Your Authentic Self Kemerlin Richards is the CEO & founder of The RICH Kliqué, LLC and Let’s Be Converts Christian Blog. She specializes in developing and teaching  personal brands how to position their brand to build multiple streams of income. Kemerlin believes in creating as she likes to call it, "authentic brand experiences" for her clients and their audience.  Six years ago Kemerlin got her start as an entrepreneur after a major change in her life. She lost her job! Kemerlin says that losing her job caused her to think about what she really wanted, especially since the job wasn’t a job she wanted. It was a  job to pay the bills.  Now thinking what to do next… Kemerlin said; “ I took a few trips and just rested. It was in the solitude I was able to see myself. I was able to see who I was and was becoming all along. I was a leader with great insight. And honestly I could only thank God and the professional experiences He allowed me to have along the way.  I was being cultivated into who  I am now, but I didn’t know it. God is amazing like that.. You’ll think you’re wasting your time, but you’re not. This week we're covering an important topic: Being a Woman of Faith in Business Autumn is a co-founder and the CEO of Detroit Dough, Detroit’s first safe-to-eat cookie dough manufacturer, revolutionizing the concessions industry.   Detroit Dough has been able to sell over $220,000 in cookie dough, equaling approximately 65,000 cups. Detroit Dough has had the opportunity to partner with large brands, including: University of Michigan, Bedrock Detroit, lululemon, MJR Digital Cinema and Little Caesars Arena. Autumn’s vision for Detroit Dough is to become the Dippin’ Dots of cookie dough within the next 3 years. Detroit Dough recently opened a concept store at one of metro Detroit’s largest malls, Twelve Oaks. The store grossed over $15,000 in revenue in less than 12 days. The concept store is one of the most successful independently owned in-line stores at the mall.   Autumn is a two-time graduate of Hampton University where she grew her skills in leadership. During college, Autumn was elected as the International Second Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for the 2014-2016 biennium. This week we're covering an important topic: The Entrepreneur and Mom Life Catrina Tillman is wife of Pastor Ezra L. Tillman Jr. and mother to six children, is an Author, Speaker, and Activist. However, the title that she is most passionate about is Servant. Having a love for God’s Word, coupled with a passion for aiding women in pursuing their dreams, Catrina founded S.H.E Ministries. S.H.E (Spiritual Humble and Elegant) Ministries thrives on empowering women from all walks of life to live out their God-given purpose. In November of 2017, Catrina released her first book titled “Her Walk: The Journey Within”, a 31 Day Devotional. Within its first month, over 500 copies were sold nationwide! With a servant’s heart and a love for man-kind, Catrina Tillman alongside her husband Pastor Ezra Tillman Jr. of First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, has been a leader in the response efforts to the Flint Water Crisis. On Feb 1, 2016, the Environmental Justice Rally was held at First Trinity M.B.Church where over 500,000 cases of bottled water were distributed to the citizens of Flint. The Lott Carey Herald took note of Catrina’s ongoing involvement in aiding those affected by the water crisis, in which they did a featured article titled “Bridge over Troubled Water” in their Summer 2016 Issue highlighting her engagement and leadership. Ebony Magazine, CNN, and Shondaland also took notice of Catrina’s work as she notably, spearheaded First Trinity’s partnership with Actor, Musician, and Philanthropist Jaden Smith in the development of the “Water Box”, a portable water filtration system that can produce 5 gallons of clean water in 30 seconds. Within its first 7 months of usage, the Water Box has replaced over 68,000 bottles of water! This week we're covering an important topic: Change of Plans  Special guest Jasmine Morris is a passionate wordsmith who is unapologetic when it comes to conveying her message. With a degree in Communications/ Public Relations and over seven years experience in Digital Storytelling, Jasmine has no plans of slowing down. Following rejection after rejection from corporate jobs and years in retail management, Jasmine decided to create her own path to success and start her career in writing back in 2012. She took her passion for writing public by starting a small, intimate blog centered around her faith.  As fate would have it, what started as a seed blossomed into a tree of opportunities as she soon began to be sought after by well known companies and brands. Fast forward to today, Jasmine has published her own book and written for Pottery Barn, Behind Every Door, Crestwood Medical Center and many other brands. She is also now working on her second book.
