Following up on the previous episode, we circle back to ideas surrounding the change in law enforcement over the years, good and bad. Jordan reflects on, and appreciates, times officers gave him grace because he was acting ridic. In a glad moment of admitted hypocrisy, Jerry Falwell gives us no choice but to give him the Petty Eddie of the week (we honestly tried, but he wasn’t helping soooo). This then gives us rabbit trail material on how much leaders tend to be above the law and the issues this has on belief and society as a whole. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a promise fulfilled is a tree of life...this was a raw, unscripted Bible study for the Scan In group on FB this past Thursday. Excuse the sound quality. And in keeping myself honest, there’s a correction. The verse mentioned stating “...Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace...” is wrong. It is Eph. 4:3, not Phil. We’ve received a lot of questions and had a LOT of conversation in light of last week’s events with George Floyd and the response of all, including the church and US Government. We wanted to have an organic talk about everything and went way over because, admittedly, we lost it. This is the recording of us “professionally and respectfully” losing it. When I (Jordan) first had THIS conversation with Matt Mattera a few years back, I swore it wasn’t real and he just had the darkest sense of humor I’d ever encountered.
