ENFP vs ENFJ long-distance relationship
LDRs have their own joys and challenges – and so do ENFP and ENFJ relationships. Both are authentic, warm-hearted people, but they differ in their need for closure. Like all relationships, this one will work best when both are independent in their own thoughts and values before getting into a relationship (especially an LDR).

Nature vs. nurture is one of the oldest debates in the field of psychology. Recent studies indicate that personality is more nuanced and complex than previously believed, and personality can – and does – change over time. One of the most frustrating situations we can encounter is someone telling us why we shouldn’t feel a certain way. Your feelings are your feelings. Whether or not they stem from real or perceived beliefs and truths, we all have them, and we can’t escape them. Feelings drive our behavior. Feelings can work for us, or against us. And we can choose not to judge them, but accept them for what they are.

Personality is a complicated subject. Although the Myers-Briggs measures personality on a 4 dichotomy scale, what really makes you tick is completely individual. This includes what type of exercise you prefer. Interestingly enough, the Myers-Briggs Company, who are the exclusive publishers of the Myers-Briggs assessment, did a study in 2018 on precisely this topic.

Carl Jung theorized that personality is inherent and changes very little over time. Yet we as human beings are constantly changing and adapting, as the recent COVID-19 pandemic has shown. These difficult times have presented us with a choice: we can choose to believe in our shared strength, respond with generosity, and become more resilient in the face of crisis. This cannot happen without awareness of our own strengths and blind spots. Tune in to hear Edythe talk about what part the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator plays in overcoming coronavirus.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® has helped millions of people get a better sense of where they might fit in the world of work. Unfortunately, it’s still mistakenly used to predict job performance, even during interviews. No career assessment will give a full and accurate picture of specific careers or work environments that you should pursue, and it’s not a guarantee for choosing who to hire. The Myers-Briggs CAN be used to help a candidate understand the challenges of the role, and integrate more effectively into the team or work environment. It can also help the organization diversify. As a job seeker – knowing your Myers-Briggs type can help you understand your strengths and weaknesses and how to successfully market yourself during the interview.

Which Myers-Briggs types are most prone to depression?
Today's question is a difficult topic to address because it deals with something many people are uncomfortable talking about-
"Which Myers-Briggs types are most prone to depression?"
When people think about depression, they often think of what’s called clinical depression, which requires treatment, or regular depression, which most people have gone through at one time or another. From a medical standpoint, depression is defined as a mood disorder which causes persistent sadness and the often intense loss of interest in things that usually bring pleasure and happiness. Depression affects how you feel, think, and behave – and can affect your ability to function in your daily life.

Which Myers-Briggs Types make the best leaders? (part 1)
With the increasing focus on effective leadership, I'm not surprised that this question came up.
"Which Myers-Briggs Types make the best leaders?"
Ok folks: realistically you know that there isn't really one best "leader" type. Different leaders are going to have different qualities that appeal to different people. You can Google "effective leadership qualities" or "great leaders" – but what we're really talking about here is leadership as it relates to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator – a personality inventory that has absolutely no bearing on anyone's ability to lead effectively.

Are INTJs compatible with ENFPs?
Today’s question comes from Sandra, who states, “I am an ENFP and have recently started dating an INTJ. What can you tell me about this pairing?”
Let me start by saying that it is my belief as a Myers-Briggs Master Practitioner that any 2 healthy, well-developed people of any Myers-Briggs Types can have a successful relationship. While the Myers-Briggs may be useful in predicting some joys and challenges that various relationships will face, there is no completely accurate method for predicting relationship success with any assessment or tool. Personality is such a complex topic, and much as some people would like to believe otherwise, personality isn’t quantifiable nor "diagnosable".

I came out as an ISFJ. It's now clear to me that both my parents, my brothers and most of my family members are Extraverts. Most of family are Thinkers, while I am a Feeler. I spent many years thinking there was something was wrong with me but now I know that I'm just naturally different. Yet this knowledge doesn't help when I visit my family. Holiday events and loud parties are the norm for most everyone in my family, but I can't wait to escape them.
I do love my family and I know they love me - but how can I get them to understand that I need my Introverted Space?"
