Episode Summary:
In this week’s episode of the Rise Station Podcast, we’re learning a brand new cognitive behavioral strategy that will help us become in charge of our anxious thought patterns.

What happens to your body when you are anxious?
What triggers your anxiety?
What are the common thoughts that come up when you are anxious?
What time of day do these thoughts occur and how often?
How to set aside time for your anxious thoughts?
You set a calendar event for the time and time frame given to worry.
You go through your day and if a worrying thought comes up outside of the designated worry time, you acknowledge the thought and write it down. You will then set that thought aside.
During worry time, you will journal all of your concerns, potential problems, solutions, and so on when the timer goes off, you have to set aside worrying, take a deep breath, and postpone any worrying thoughts you may have until the next day's worry shift.

Join Our Spam Free Newsletter: https://restorativefamilyservices.com/
Episode Introduction:
Sometimes, the best thing you can do is to do nothing. Tune in to find out more!
Episode Summary:
In this week’s episode of the Rise Station Podcast, we’re walking you through the process of mastering radical acceptance.
We start the episode by understanding what radical acceptance is, we then go on to discuss the different ways in which the lack of radical acceptance shows up in our lives, and we finally conclude the episode by going over practical strategies to master radical acceptance.
If you’re someone who often tries to fight their reality, this episode is for you.
Rise Tribe Takeaways:
Radical acceptance refers to accepting situations outside of our control without judgment, which helps reduce the suffering caused by said situations.
Thought patterns that signal a lack of acceptance:
"I can’t deal with this."
"This is not fair."
"Things shouldn’t be like this."
"I can’t believe this is happening."
"It’s not right."
"Things should be different."
"Why is this happening to me?"
Feelings and behaviors indicating a lack of acceptance:
You blame yourself for everything bad that happens in your life.
You feel stuck and don't think you can change anything for the better.
You wish that things were different, but you feel powerless.
You are angry with the world.
You resort to maladaptive coping mechanisms.
Relationship patterns that reveal a lack of acceptance:
You are constantly nagging your spouse, hoping that they will change.
You are often disappointed by the choices that others make.
You feel resentful of things that have happened in the past.
You tend to hold grudges.
When not to use radical acceptance:
If you are in an abusive relationship or someone is treating you poorly or with disrespect.
If you are being harassed, taken advantage of, or not treated fairly at work.
If you are experiencing burnout or a lack of motivation due to your current situation.
When you are intentionally not taking action out of fear.
When acceptance becomes an obstacle in actually improving your situation or standing up for yourself.
Statements that foster radical acceptance:
“It is what it is.”
“What is meant for me will be for me.”
“When I fight against negative emotions, I only fuel them to grow larger.”
“I can’t change the things that have happened in the past.”
“I am able to accept the present moment exactly as it is.”
“I can get through difficult emotions even if it is hard.”
“I will get through this no matter what.”
“I will survive and this feeling will fade even though this feels painful right now.”
Steps to practice radical acceptance:
Pay attention to what triggers resistance; notice when you can't accept something.
Remind yourself that, in this moment, reality can’t be changed and is outside of your control.
Think about what you would do if you could accept what happened and then do those things as though you had already accepted what happened.
Imagine what things would be like if you accepted the situation.
Use relaxation strategies, mindfulness practices, journaling, and self-reflection to understand your emotions.
Let yourself safely feel your emotions.
Accept that life can be worthwhile even when experiencing pain.
When we fight reality, we are only prolonging our pain and suffering.

Rise Tribe Takeaways:
The Law of Influence dictates that your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people's interests first.
Having a lack mindset is the breeding ground for every negative emotion in the book.
You don’t have to choose between taking care of yourself and being thoughtful about other people; the two can co-exist.
The most important factor in being abundant is to have an abundant mindset.

Episode Introduction:
It’s time to give abundantly and have it come back tenfold. Tune in to find out how!
Episode Summary:
In this week’s episode of the Rise Station Podcast, we’re continuing the five-part series inspired by The Go-Giver by Bob Burg & John David Mann.
This week, we’re diving deep into the second law of stratospheric success, AKA, The Law of Compensation. This law teaches us the power of having a “Serve First” mindset. Check out the complete episode to learn how you can benefit from it.
Rise Tribe Takeaways:
Success looks different for everyone. For some it’s more money, for others, it’s confidence, while some think success is about promotions, relationships, etc.
The Law of Compensation dictates that your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.
The greater the impact you create, the more income you have.
The more generous and abundant you are, the more likely people are to give back to you.
Having a “Serve First” mindset helps bring purpose into the things that you do.
Our limiting beliefs are mindset blocks that keep us away from our abundance.
The rhythm between “giving” and “receiving” isn’t supposed to be either/ or, it’s supposed to be a balance of both.

Episode Introduction:
Are you ready to experience the power of giving? Tune in to learn how!
Episode Summary:
In this week’s episode of the Rise Station Podcast, we’re starting a five-part series inspired by The Go-Giver by Bob Burg & John David Mann. Each week, we’ll go over one of the five takeaways about the power of giving. We highly recommend you read the book as you listen to these podcast episodes; it’s going to change the way you define success for the better.
Rise Tribe Takeaways:
Your truth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.
Focusing your resources inwardly isn’t what makes you high-value, it’s the intent and ability to give to others that do so.
We often look at our achievements to be the barometer of success but what if it actually lies in the journey of getting to the point of achievement?
Successful people have a certain way of life; they operate with integrity and character.
There is power in giving. When we give, it reflects our abundant mindset that we have enough to share and our confidence in our ability to replenish that.
When you let your lack mindset lead the show, you’re not free to give or to grow.

Mon, 22 Apr 2024 - 22min - 149 - Narcissistic Parental Alienation
Episode Introduction:
Do you feel your child drifting away from you? Your child may be a victim of Narcissistic Parental Alienation. Tune in to learn more!
Episode Summary:
In this week’s episode of the Rise Station Podcast, we’re talking all about Narcissistic Parental Alienation and what it entails.
We start by discussing the signs of parental alienation and then go on to talk about the DOs and DON’Ts as a victim of it.
If you’re looking to improve your relationship with a child who’s been affected by this, check out the complete episode for tangible strategies on how to do so.
Rise Tribe Takeaways:
Parental alienation occurs when one parent encourages their child to unfairly reject the other parent.
Signs of Parental Alienation:
The child is full of hatred toward the targeted parent.
The child doesn’t have factual or logical reasoning behind their hostility toward the targetted parent.
In case of conflict, the child is more likely to side with the narcissistic parent than the targetted parent.
If your child is showing signs of alienation, DO NOT do the following:
Beg your child to cooperate with you.
Put yourself in an equal position as your child.
Demonstrate weakness.
Act without compassion.
Exude a lack of confidence.
Spend little time with your children.
Ignore your intuition.
Make every situation a crisis.
Forget you’re in a psychological battle.
Give away your power.
If your child is showing signs of alienation, DO the following:
Get support.
Take care of yourself.
Stay consistent.
Understand that this is a psychological battle.
Be confident in your decision-making and your ability to lead.
Show empathy.
Spend time with your child.
Reflect their actions back to them.
Give choices whenever you can.
Respond rather than react.
When a narcissist can no longer control you, they will try to control how others view you.
