Soca and Cocktails

I live by the belief that passion drives creativity, which drives opportunity. My passion drives my determination to always improve and it is for that reason that I participate in a variety of opportunities to play music. From filling the air with Soca at carnival, to playing piano and producing a variety of music. ​ I grew up with music in and around me at every turn. Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, (That's where I'm from) ... My dad had a large collection of Calypso and Soca vinyl that I used to sneak to play (if I were caught, well… let’s just say there would be problems! LOL) and my older brother loved to listen to all the POP and R&B he could, coming from the radio! ​ I absorbed it all! From churches having Open Air Crusades, to Political Rallies playing the most popular Soca Music on big trucks, all the Reggae and Dancehall coming out of Jamaica, the Jazz Festivals and yes... C-A-R-N-I-V-A-L!!! ​ Everything was taken in... Gospel, Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, Classical and R&B/Hip Hop! This gave me a real appreciation for music and its purpose in culture and communication. After pursuing a BMus in Music Performance and Production then onwards to a Masters in Music Business Management, the passion for music was fortified with knowledge, understanding and enhanced skills. ​ I later ventured into Music Production, Audio Mixing, Big Band Arrangements, Choir Arrangements, Piano Performances, Music Directing and DJ’ing.
