As if that wasn't enough, we also delve into the subject of titles that were far more popular outside of Japan, but also the subject of how a title is perceived or presented both inside and outside Japan; how important is foreign money to a title and how did that notion come about? Jeremy Graves and Andy Hanley welcome special guest Dr. Jonathan Clements to the podcast to discuss a boat load of topics to bring new nearly two hours of audio! We've intentionally steered away from talking about the current state of play around the world on recent episodes, but with Jonathan being based in Finland and being on the pulse when it comes to Asian culture, we'd be remiss if we didn't get his experiences and take on things. But during that discussion you'll also discover that during lockdown he has introduced his son to the world of Studio Ghibli for the first-time! If you want to know what he watched, you'll have to listen and find out! From there we move onto discussing some news that has broken since our last episode; first of all is the fact that NEO Magazine announced that due to the current goings on they will be going on hiatus for a while. Then we touch on the breaking news (within an hour or so of us recording) that Masaaki Yuasa is stepping down from his role as president of the studio Science Saru. We look at what this means, but also tell you why, when it comes to future works of Masaaki Yuasa, you shouldn't worry too much. From there we move onto tackling some questions and topics of conversation send it by you, the listeners! Topics covered (but not limited to) include dream titles we'd like to see receive an ultimate edition; merchandise, recent "must watch" anime; working conditions of animators in Japan, whether we think dubs fit better for an anime not set in Japan compared those that are, and more! Then, as a primer for the show on Friday where it'll be our second watch-a-long discussion style episode focusing on episodes 1-3 of Megalo Box, Jonathan delves into the history of the Ashita no Joe / Tomorrow's Joe franchise - which Megalo Box is a 50th Anniversary commemoration project of - to really help set the scene for the importance of the franchise and how Megalo Box is a very unique undertaking in itself. (There's also a story Jonathan shares about Tomorrow's Joe that relating to him directly that you need to hear to believe.) And if that wasn't enough - yes, there's more! - as we're closing out the show Jonathan makes it known that his adaptation of Death Note is now available on Audible in France! And that sparks a conversation about this came about and the casting choice for the French language version as it features the same cast in the French dub of the Death Note anime! We're back with a new episode and it's already going in a different direction than what you'd normally expect! This time we're on the road at MCM Manchester Comic Con from this past weekend. Things begin with Jeremy Graves and Keith Copping after MCM Manchester, just to confuse you, having a little catchup that also involves some details about our presence at the Tokonatsu Festival this coming weekend! Then we go back in time to MCM Manchester from this past weekend with Jeremy Graves, Andy Hanley, Keith Copping and Kat Hall as they give some you some thoughts on the event (and some ramblings in general) recorded on not only the show floor, but also during the van ride back from Manchester just hours after the event ended. (What can possibly go wrong...?) Plus we get a few moments to talk with Nathan Mills from our good friends at Koei Tecmo Europe, who were promoting their latest game based on Attack on Titan, A.O.T. II Final Battle, during the show! And if that wasn't enough we even get to speak to a man you've more than likely seen at a convention in the UK in some capacity before, the head honcho from our good friends at Gundam Mad, Gurinder Gurm, to talk about not only MCM Manchester but also what people can expect from the Gundam Wing section at the upcoming TFNation event! Gurinder is one of the people heavily involved in the planning for this, and he gives you a preview of what will be happening across the weekend! It's different show to normal, and admittedly the recording quality of the audio varies in places, but it's something different and something we're hope you'll enjoy listening to. Thu, 01 Aug 2019 - 1h 01min - 130 - All The Anime Podcast - 10th July 2019
It's been a while... about a year since we last recorded a podcast (excluding the Scotland Loves Anime 2018 special) but we're finally back with a new podcast! It's something we've had on the docket for a while, and time has finally allowed us to get the ball rolling on that with a loose feeling episode covering a variety of topics. Join Jeremy Graves and Andy Hanley as they talk about a few new releases including the Oscar nominated Mirai, Welcome to the Ballroom: Part 1 and Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online - Part 1, then it's all about our Summer of Gundam as we bring you up to speed on what you can expect from us in the way of releases from the world of Gundam including the film Char's Counter Attack, and Gundam Wing! Then, given it's very much a talking point in general at the moment, we wanted to get in on the conversation when it comes to Neon Genesis Evangelion now being available to watch on Netflix. This is the point where fellow All The Anime team members Kat Hall and Keith Copping get in the robot with us to discuss rewatching the series, likes and dislikes about the new English dub, thoughts on watching the show as an adult compared to when we were *cough* younger and how that impacts the overall perception of the series, reactions of people experiencing it for the first time and more! Then, keeping on the Evangelion train, Keith was in Paris at Japan Expo this past weekend and got to see the 10-minute preview of the upcoming fourth film in the Rebuild of Evangleion Project with a bunch of rabid French fans. We get thoughts on this 10-minute Evangelion 0706 preview, the reaction of the fans in the building and more! Note about the Evangelion discussion on this podcast: We do our best to keep it as spoiler free as possible, but inevitably this doesn't happen. So SPOILER WARNING when it comes to all the Evangelion discussion on this podcast for both the series and 0706 10 minute preview. NOTE: As always please note this podcast may contain strong language and any views expressed by individuals in this podcast do not reflect those of Anime Limited. ---- Time codes for this episode: 02:50 - Welcome to the Ballroom, 08:05 - Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, 11:38 - Mirai, 14:35 - The TF Nation event's "The Gundam Wing" plans, 18:59 - Upcoming Gundam releases including Char's Counter Attack and Gundam Wing, 28:15 - Neon Genesis Evangelion discussion, 46:56 - Evangelion 3.0+1.0 "0706" discussion, 59:50 - [END]

[RECORDED ON 14TH & 15TH JUNE 2018] With various members of the team being out and about the place, Jeremy brings you literally a show of two halves very much themed around the happenings of E3. First he is joined by Lauren and Keith to talk a variety of topics including Lauren's passionate feelings surrounding Kingdom Hearts III and Keith's passionate feelings about the wealth lack of news relating to the Final Fantasy VII remake. Then we moved forward 24 hours (from when that first segment was recorded) with Andrew and Kat then joining Jeremy to talk some of their feelings on happenings from E3. As you can probably guess, there's more talk on Kingdom Hearts III as Kat gives her feelings about all news surrounding the long awaited game. Then we touch on some other things that were of interest from Andrew's perspective including Death Stranding. As if that wasn't enough, there's even time to briefly talk about Andrew attending the A Perfect Circle concert in London that leads to some strange music based tangents. A fun show as always! We'll be back next week with another podcast, who knows in what format, but either way we'll be back! Enjoy the the show~! [Recorded 8th June 2018] It's a skeleton crew in the All The Anime office this week and Jeremy, Lauren and Andy hold down the fort to bring you lots of details on upcoming releases (that somehow may include conversation comparing characters in Love Live!! to Transformers), English cast clips of Rokka premiering ahead of our release and even the metal band Epica releasing a covers EP of Attack on Titan songs! But perhaps the main talking points this week are surrounding E3; the annual event where the shape of video games for the next year and beyond are formed. All three discuss what in particular they're looking forward; from Kingdom Hearts 3 (and the agonising and insanely long wait for its release), new IP that will be revealed (assuming they hasn't all already been) and even a prediction for what one of the team would like to see announced! A fun show as usual! All going well we'll have another episode for you next week, but there is a chance that may get put off until the week after. But either way we'll definitely be taking about our thoughts on E3 and the big news from it on that show! [Recorded on 15th Sept. 2017] The All The Anime Podcast is back, a day later than usual, to bring you some anime related chatter to conclude your week or in this case, keep you busy over the weekend. And there's also time during the show to briefly talk about how Andy's house moving is going, some thoughts about the atmosphere at the Arsenal vs. FC Cologne game - that Jeremy attended - which leads onto some talk about atmosphere at Comic Cons too. A nice simple, fun and informative show. Oh and Keith manages to find time gatecrash the podcast for about minute. (Not even joking.) Also a quick note that next week: we'll be exhibiting at the MCM Scotland Comic Con event, so we're still planning to have a podcast next week if at all possible. But to put this out there in advance, perhaps don't be surprised if we ultimately aren't able to bring you one. Fri, 01 Sep 2017 - 41min - 112 - Anime Limited Podcast #34 - Season 2 Ep 12 - 25th August 2017

This week we begin in the office studio as Jeremy, Kat, Andrew, Lauren, Andy and Keith discuss their experience of seeing Your Name in IMAX along with couple of random topics in the form dubbing anime in the UK and what should someone have for lunch! Then (around the 31 minute 30 second mark) we travel back in time this past Monday (21st August) when Jeremy and Keith were in a van bound for Glasgow following them exhibiting at Kitacon to bring the first edition of On The Road With All The Anime. Very much just some post-Kitacon fun in a van talking all manner of subjects including how things went at Kitacon (both from a business perspective and the other panels/events we were involved in), plus a number of topics suggested by you, the listeners that result in discussion about Malaysian dubs of Dragon Ball Z films, digital releases of films, which anime character would we want to be on a long journey with, hypothetical ideas for Ultimate Edition releases and even what anime sound effect we feel would be suitable alternative to replace Big Ben's chimes. It all works out at nearly an hour and half of fun chatter! Be on the lookout for us putting call for more questions and topics to be suggested next week. [Recorded on 26th July 2017] So, let's get straight to a fact here: the majority of the team is knackered and probably not all there. It's been one of those weeks - not to mention that most of the team were loading a van bound for MCM Manchester Comic Con this weekend - so if it feels like we might not be our usual chirpy selves that might be why. But that doesn't stop us Jeremy, Jessica (for a short time), Andrew, Kat, Keith and for the first-time our events manager Chris from bringing you about 40 minutes of chatter. Chatter on the show week including the fact we (and Kat - as she's in the comic village representing her awesome art) at MCM Manchester Comic Con this weekend, seagulls, snap chat, the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist promotional posters, the Death Note live-action trailer and perhaps mentions (and possible updates) on the following anime in no particular order: Space Dandy, Death Parade, idol anime in general, Lupin the 3rd, Eureka Seven, Fairy Tail Dragon Cry. Plus, perhaps the most important question that will ever be asked is brought to the table! What is it? You’ll have to listen to find out! A fun podcast as always! We hope you enjoy listening to it and we'll be back next Friday with another episode for you. We'll be putting out the call for questions on our social media channels early next week, so stay tuned! NOTE: As always please note this podcast contains strong language and any views expressed by individuals in this podcast do not reflect those of Anime Limited.

As if that wasn't enough there's other random chatter including the possibility of a racing tournament in the office, a Kerry sighting, some talk about how things are shaping up for our home video releases of A Silent Voice and Your Name, and the random topic generator returns to bring you random delights such as talk on ice cream and convention stories.

A fun podcast as always! We hope you enjoy listening to it and we'll be back next Friday with another episode for you - and more than likely we'll be covering questions you've all been sending on that show. NOTE: As always please note this podcast contains strong language and any views expressed by individuals in this podcast do not reflect those of Anime Limited.
Fri, 14 Jul 2017 - 1h 13min - 105 - Anime Limited Podcast #27 - Season 2 Ep 5 - 7th July 2017
[Recorded on 6th July 2017] Andrew and Jessica are once again on assignment, so the podcast this week is brought to by the C-Squad of Anime Limited; Jeremy, Kat and Keith as they bring a fun (what somehow ended up being nearly) 80 minutes of discussion on a bunch of topics relating to anime and not. Topics covered include (but not limited to) are our pitch for the next Mission Impossible film, a few things that excited us from the utter deluge of announcements at Anime Expo in Los Angeles last week, the live-action movie of Bleach [NOTE from Jeremy: only the teaser image had been published at time of recording], some chatter on what we’ve been watching including Haikyu!!, My Hero Academia - and it’s parallels to Naruto - and Attack on Titan Season 2. [Recorded on 29th June 2017] This week, Andrew and Jessica are on assignment at Anime Expo in the USA so you're stuck with Jeremy, Kerry, Keith and Kat to keep you entertained for about 90 minutes of chatter which, to be totally up front, has far less anime talk than usual. Topics covered (but not limited to) include bracing Keith's climate control settings in the van following a convention, the perils of traveling in general, Kerry's adventures at the Edinburgh Film Festival, what show that was simulcast would we like to release if possible, thoughts on Embossments on packaging, our completely hypothetical pitches for an Ultimate Edition release and then to change things up a bit - as if it hasn't been different compared to the norm already - we introduce the random topic generator to proceedings! Then, we conclude the show by bidding farewell to one of Team Anime Limited as they are moving on new ventures. (NOTE from Jeremy: Events from the evening before this podcast was recorded totally don't play into the overall feel of this episode... ;) ) A fun podcast as always! We hope you enjoy listening to it and we'll be back next Friday with another episode for you! NOTE: As always please note this podcast contains strong language and any views expressed by individuals in this podcast do not reflect those of Anime Limited.

On this episode join Jeremy, Andrew Kerry, Keith and Jessica as they talk a variety of topics with (it’s got to be said) some very NSFW language unintentionally involved. (You can thank Kerry for that.) Topics covered (but not limited to) include the Viceland TV channel announcing it’s anime block of programming and the reaction to said announcement, documentaries on Netflix that keep you awake at night, there’s a new streaming service that launched “HIDIVE” so we have chinwag about that, what “authoring” a disc actually means or entails, favourite non-anime films we’ve seen this year, the price of manga (as in books, not the anime distributor) and more! Plus to conclude the podcast we give some brief thoughts on the first episode of Sakura Quest – which you can watch at both Crunchyroll and FunimationNow. A fun podcast as always! We hope you enjoy listening to it and we’ll be back next Friday with another episode for you! Fri, 16 Jun 2017 - 1h 00min - 101 - Anime Limited Podcast #23 - Season 2 Ep 1 - 10th June 2017
Welcome to the first episode of season 2 of the AllTheAnime Podcast! ... Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it. Sorry about that, but we're back now and have a big podcast for what we've decided will be the first episode of our second season. On this show join Jeremy, Andrew, Kerry, Kat, Keith and the latest edition to the Anime Limited team, Jessica, as they discuss all sorts of topics both related to anime and not! We introduce Jessica to you all, we talk about things we've been watching, playing and reading recently. This may includes such things as Overwatch, Scum's Wish and American Gods. We talk about anime we're bringing to the big screen through the remainder of the year - including some clarification about the upcoming Your Name IMAX screenings being subtitle only, upcoming home video releases and of course we delve into your questions! We cover where things stand with certain upcoming home video releases certain titles like Your Name, titles we would like to see get a full release if it only ever got a partial release before, politics, and more! Worth noting that when it comes to questions we try to tackle as many of what we received as we can, but as we received so many what we're going to do is save more of them for our show next week! It's a fun show to kick off the new season - and the majority of the team is totally not powered by alcohol during this. So if you hear lots of ridiculous and in some cases not safe for work banter, it's totally not the fact it's end of the week and we're chilling out having a laugh... Anyway, enjoy the show! Then we bring you a new regular segment to the podcast, The AL Club. The idea of this is simple: we love anime and love talking about it in detail, so that's exactly what we do in the AL Club. We will pick a specific anime, be a title of ours or (and will most likely happen in the near future) we will pick titles that aren't ours (Anime Limited) or perhaps a title that's out-of-print, and we simply talk about it. It's a chance for us unwind and have a good time talking about a particular series. For this first edition of the AL Club we're focusing on one our titles, Space Dandy. But it's not just us talking about the series in general, we also delve into behind-the-scenes tidbits relating to the series. However it's not all about us talking about a particular anime in the AL Club, we also want your thoughts on Space Dandy as well. Tweet us your thoughts on it using the hashtag #TheALClub on twitter, post your comments on our Facebook page, comment on this track, or send your thoughts by email to Jeremy@AllTheAnime.com with the subject "Podcast - AL Club" with your thoughts, and we'll be reading out thoughts we receive on our next Podcast. Also if you have any suggestions for anime you'd like to discuss in future episodes, feel free to throw your suggestions our way. Oh, and a random note. Towards the end of this inaugural AL Club, Kat got called out to a meeting so she wasn't able to give her thoughts on a favourite episode. So she will be revealing her favourite episode on the next podcast we record. A fun show as always and we hope you enjoy it. We're going to aim to a record another podcast later this month, so be on the lookout for that. So keep an eye out for that. As always this podcast contains strong language and any views expressed by individuals in this podcast do not reflect those of Anime Limited.
Sat, 23 Jan 2016 - 46min - 89 - Anime Limited Podcast #11 - 24th December 2015
Twas the day before Christmas, though recorded late last week, and Anime Limited brings you mostly uncensored festive cheer and talk on anime in our final podcast of the calendar year powered by mulled wine! In this podcast, given it’s been a good couple of months since our last regular style episode, we catchup on A LOT of Anime Limited related news. From new title announcements including Eureka Seven and the original Fullmetal Alchemist TV series, discussion on our Ultimate Edition releases, Kill la Kill standard edition releases coming in 2016, Mobile Suit Gundam Part 2 coming with an art book and more. As if that wasn’t enough, in a change of pace Jeremy shakes things up by reflecting on the year 2015 with the first Anime Limited Pub Quiz with the grand prize (not) being whoever wins becomes president of the company. Who will win? You’ll have to listen to find out. Then Jeremy, Andrew, Kat, Keith and Kerry reflect on the past year for Anime Limited. A fun show as always and from everyone at Team Anime Limited we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Thu, 24 Dec 2015 - 1h 14min - 88 - Anime Limited Podcast #10 Scotland Loves Anime Special - 8th Nov. 2015
Welcome to our inaugural Scotland Loves Anime special episode of the Anime Limited Podcast. This is a very different podcast from what we normally bring you but one that's definitely worth listening to. Recorded during the Edinburgh leg of Scotland Loves Anime 2015, the first 70 minutes of this podcast focuses is very much on the four films that were in competition for the Judges award Scotland Loves Anime. These being Expelled From Paradise, Miss Hokusai, Empire Of Corpses and The Case of Hana & Alice. You'll get to hear Jonathan Clements joined by the four judges, Justin Sevakis (of Anime News Network and Media OCD), Claire Copping, Animation Director Gary Marshall and John Noel (writer of the ChaosTangent blog) discussing all four films in as spoiler-free ways as possible, so you can get detailed insight into how the judges came to decide their winning film for in that category. Following that, the second section of the show sees us put the focus on Justin Sevakis and his career in the anime industry to this point. We cover his experiences in the industry, the various companies he's worked for, titles he's worked on and how the industry has evolved over the years. There's some very, very insightful discussion and we're sure you'll enjoy it! As a heads up, when it comes discussion on titles that Justin has worked on, it does include the fact he worked on Hentai DVD releases in the USA. We didn't just want to gloss over this fact so we do into detail on some of what he had to work on. This section does has contain some graphic detail, as you can probably imagine, so we're making it known now that between 1:16:30-1:29:00 there is very Not Safe For Work/NSFW material discussed. We'll also make it known that this edition of the podcast is completely uncensored. After the fact we all made a collective decision to leave it as it was on this occasion. A very different podcast from us but is a very interesting one to listen to. For those wondering, all going well our next regular episode of the podcast will be available within the next few weeks.
