Welcome back to "On The Road" from "The Classic Rock Podcast" and today we caught up with the fabulous Samantha Fish who is currently out on the "Bulletproof Tour" and during the conversation, we looked back at this extraordinary last 10 years the return to performing as "Samantha Fish" after the hugely successful collaboration with Jesse Deyton on "Death Wish Blues" We looked ahead to the new album which is all but complete and relive some memorable live performances including the one where the band all dressed as a hair metal band and performed Van Halen covers on a Halloween show and Samantha also reveals that her family's roots are actually based in the UK in Yorkshire.

Welcome back to the new video edition of the show and joining me is the last remaining original member of the classic prog rock / rock band Nektar.Formed in Germany in 1969, Nektar favored extended compositions and concept albums over the constraints of pop. They were among the progenitors of the progressive rock movement of the 1970s as well as the jam-band scene that arose in the late 1990s. Their sound traveled well to the States, where they enjoyed Top 40 success with “A Tab in the Ocean” (1972) and “Remember the Future” (1973). Nearly 20 albums later, the band’s artistic and personal charisma has earned them masses of devoted fans along with their album “The Other Side” (2020) which was Number 1 on Amazon Progressive Music. Richie joins us on the show to talk about his career from the early days breaking through in the late 80's his move to LA where he experienced first hand life on the strip mixing with legends and playing with others .

From the first breakthrough record deal to joining Poison and onward with a successful solo career indispersed with stints with Mr Big, The Winery Dogs and Smith Kotzen.

Richie talks candidly and with humour about his life and looks ahead to the future and the release of "Nomad"

He went on to become one of Tom's great friends.
