As a lifestyle and book blogger, I have decided to launch this podcast to share even more advice with my readers and connect with them through another media. As a French grad student and librarian, podcasting is also a great way for me to practice my oral expression in English an what better way to do so than talk about books while enjoying a hot cup of tea? Here, we talk about books, minimalism and healthy living. If that is your cup of tea (or coffee), stay tuned! 📚 Blog : https://theenglishspeakingfrenchie.com/

- 23 - 5 Ways to organize your books on your bookshelf
As i am going to move into my new apartment this month, I thought it could be cool to share with you ideas on how to display your books. This post is dedicated to ways you can actually organize books on a proper bookshelf but if you rent a tiny apartment (around 20 sqm) like I do, you may wan to be a little bit more creative with the ways you organize everything. Today, I will simply share with you the ways I loved to organize books in my old apartment but if you would be interested in way to put it all in a tinier one, let me know in the comments. Just to make that clear,I am a minimalistwith only 2 bags of clothes but 7 big boxes of books: now, you see how hard it can be for me to organize it all! But I do believe that with a little bit of effort, everything is possible. Ready?
Sun, 11 Jul 2021 - 06min - 22 - Romanticizing life to feel happier: a guide to be the "main character" of your life
Before I get into today's concept, I would like to clarify a point. It is normal to feel down at times – even often – and romanticizing, to me, means looking at how life unfolds without trying to control everything. It is not controlling the little moments but learning to enjoy them and make what is (not force what is not) more beautiful. You now understand my vision of the concept and, more importantly, you understand what romanticizing life does not mean. It is so easy when wanting to romanticize one's life to try and make it as perfect as possible. However,..
Sat, 03 Jul 2021 - 10min - 21 - 3 Things Librarians Do Not Do (but you think they do)
I feel like every job has its own kind of stereotypes, and I mine is not an exception to the rule. I am a librarian and I hear the same stereotypes over and over, which leads me to that post. I want to share with you 3 things that librarians actually do not do, in order for you to have a clearer idea of the things we actually do. Are you ready? Go!
Sun, 27 Jun 2021 - 07min - 20 - On feeling "late in life" & doing you rather than finishing the typical "Things to do in your 20s" bucket list".
Sometimes, I just feel like it is important to set quick reminders here. I tend to share very practical tips, but today, I only and simply want to remind you one little tiny thing: you do not have to do what you do not want to do. Okay, that is written, I may stop here. Nonetheless, as I love writing, I will keep talking about that concept a little bit more.
Sun, 20 Jun 2021 - 06min - 19 - How to combine your internship with your academic work?
We are totally in that time of the year in which lots of students start their internship (me included) and I thought it would be cool to discuss that "how to balance internship and academic work" thing together. Of course, I know there are schools that set you free from whole academic work before the start of the year's internship but not every school does that (and mine definitely does not). So, let's discuss the ways I do manage doing an internship, working on my essays, preparing the next academic year and working on my thesis. Ready?
Sat, 05 Jun 2021 - 05min - 18 - How To Read More While Saving Money
I do not know about you but as an avid reader, one of my biggest struggles is to find books for relatively cheap. I know that I can't be the only one to spend way too much money on books and thus today, I have decided to share with you the ways I do save money when it comes to buying books. Depending on your country, you may also look for the cheapest books but in France (as in many other countries), books are considered a "cultural good" and thus, their price is set in stone. That means that one bookseller can't sell a book cheaper than his neighbour, in the limit of a discount of 5% (nonetheless, the problem remains when it comes to eBooks). Are you ready?

- 16 - Feel prettier instantly: on the use of feeling pretty and on how to actually manage to do so
I think a lot of women (and not only women) suffer from feeling "ugly". Nobody really defines what "ugly" is for them, but still, a lot of people consider themselves to be "ugly". In a reallyself-development oriented world, we do not feel like saying it out loud and prefer acting as if we were good with ourselves, but the truth is that sometimes, we are not...
