Wayne Miller was a Special Agent, Criminal Investigator and Certified Fire Investigator for the U. S. Treasury, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for 25 years. He has been involved in numerous high profile criminal cases involving illegal firearms, bombings and arsons. He was also a member of the ATF National Response Team, responding to major fire and explosion incidents. For the past 17 years, in the private sector, Mr. Miller has been a fire and explosion analyst for the Massachusetts - based Wright Group, Inc.
During his career, Mr. Miller examined more than 2,300 fire and explosion scenes, responded to over twenty-five major incidents, as well as testified as an expert in more than forty cases in Federal and State courts in civil and criminal cases.

Jay Dobyns joined the ATF in 1987 and was involved in more than 500 undercover operations during his 27-year career as a Special Agent. Most notably, he infiltrated the Hells Angels motorcycle gang in Arizona between 2001 and 2003 as part of Operation Black Biscuit. In 2009, Dobyns became a New York Times Best-Selling author with his memoir, No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels. He retired from the ATF in 2014.

Richard Rybicki retired from the Chicago Police Department after 29 years of service. The author served in numerous assignments throughout his career including Patrol Officer, Tactical Officer, Gang Crimes Specialist, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, and Detective Lieutenant. His last assignment was as the Lieutenant/Commanding Officer of the Area Three Homicide/Sex/Gang Crimes unit of the Detective Division.
After retiring for the second time, he returned to his lifelong passion of writing. His first book, The Pain Game, was published in 2016 and introduced the character of Sam Laska, a disgraced former Chicago Police detective living in Florida. He continues the adventures of Sam in Where the Road Leads, Bottom Feeder Blues, and The Green Line.

He is a graduate and was a counselor for the 160th session of the FBI National Academy. Before his federal career, Greg worked as a police officer for Salinas PD and then Pasadena PD. In 1995, while in Islamabad, Lee directly participated in the capture of Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, collected critical evidence, and later testified at his trial. His unique experiences in Pakistan are mentioned in two best-selling non-fiction books: Unholy Wars, by John K. He served as a Team Leader for more than 12 years. He received four Police Chief's Commendations and the 1992 HPD "Officer of the Year" Award. In 1999 he won the TTPOA statewide "Super SWAT" competition and in 2006 The National Association of Police Officers awarded him "Top Cop" for the state of Texas.

A year and a half into his career, Josh was involved in an OIS and throughout his career was involved in many other incidents that not only challenged him as an individual and shaped his life, but also changed his perspective on mental health. After realizing a need for additional mental health providers and witnessing failures and inconsistencies within the mental health system, Josh decided he wanted to do something that would help make a difference in his community. Despite working a high demanding job, having a family, and being involved in his children’s extra-curricular activities, he enrolled in graduate school. Josh received his Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work in 2021 and now works for Walnut Creek Psychiatry in Ames, IA

Sergeant Matt Porter is a 16 year veteran Police Sergeant and an active SWAT Team Leader. He holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology and a graduate degree in business. He helped develop the curriculum for the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission SWAT Basic school and is a lead instructor there. He also teaches First Level Supervision in his spare time. In 2019 Matt developed the Emotional Intelligence curriculum for the LETCSA Patrol Tactics course which is a mandated course for all 11,000 officers in Washington State. Matt serves as one of the three original Patrol Tactics Master Instructor's. Matt's private business provides leadership, emotional intelligence and wellness training to civilians and mission critical teams. He's happily married and the proud father of 2 teenage girls!!

As a published author, Alan was the featured guest speaker at the 2022 Writers Police Academy in Appleton, Wisconsin, assisting best-selling authors with their writing. He currently lives in Edmonds, Washington where he owns a private investigation agency and a consulting firm while playing saxophone in two Seattle rock bands.

In 2010 Ann joined the Stafford Police Department working special assignments such as FTO, Rape Aggression Defense Instructor, Police Trainer and worked as a Crisis Negotiator on the East Fort Bend County Regional SWAT Team. While working at Stafford PD in 2013 she was shot in the face and chest during a traffic stop.
