- 271 - Don't Waiting for Things To Slow Down
It ain’t gonna happen.
This magical time you are waiting for
You know the one I’m talking about…
The one where you have all the time you need to work out, to meal prep, to get all your work done and to keep the house clean.
This miraculous time is coming right???
Things just have to slow down!
And then…watch out! You are gonna do ALL the things!
Ummm….no.
I can’t tell you the amount of time I have wasted waiting for things to slow down.
And they don’t…and then I find myself looking back at when I thought I was busy realizing I actually had plenty of time..I just wasn’t utilzing it properly.
You don’t need to wait for things to slow down.
You need to figure out what is a priority and what deserves your time and attention.
You do that and suddenly you will find time all over the place!
This week’s episode is gonna help you do just that.
Give it a listen!
Wed, 31 Jan 2024 - 270 - How to Switch To Healthier Products
Is it time to make the switch?
@happyamycattaneo 👈 follow
Change is a constant, but knowing when to make a move can be tricky.
Especially when it comes to switching out your personal care and household products.
If you feel like your current products are not helping but also might be adding to your health concerns, it might just be time to switch gears.
When I made the switch like 14 years ago, I was hardcore about it.
I grabbed a garbage bag and threw EVERYTHING out.
And I mean EVERYTHING.
I don’t regret one second of it BUT I do recognize that method is not for most people.
Here’s what I recommend…
1️⃣ Start with the products you use on a daily basis. (soap, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion etc).
2️⃣ Use the app Think Dirty to see what your products have in them. It gives them a rating, tells you what each ingredient is and what it may be doing to your body and gives healthier recommendations (if necessary)
3️⃣ Then you can either get rid of something that is not serving you OR finish it out and have a healthier version on deck, ready to go.
I would say this depends on the severity of what you find out is in the product. For example, let’s say you are having respiratory issues and you see that a lotion you are putting on every day has an ingredient that is known to cause respiratory issues, get a new lotion. It just ain’t worth it.
4️⃣ Next, move on to products that you use weekly, repeat the process until you have slowly but surely switched out the products in your home.
Need help with this still?
I got two options for you…

Wed, 17 Jan 2024 - 269 - Do you self sabotage?
“The reason why you self-sabotage is because it allows you to predict what is going to happen, which is giving you the illusion of self control.”
Saw this quote the other day and dayuuuummm…it sucker-punched me.
ANY time I have not done what I KNEW I should do it was because I didn’t want to feel out of control.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
But it for damn sure is just an illusion because you end up feeling LESS in control in the end.
So what the heck can you do about it?
You tune into my latest episode! 😉
What are your thoughts on the quote?? Comment below! Would love to hear your opinions!
Wed, 10 Jan 2024 - 268 - 149. How to Have Your Best Year Yet
This is the year I finally do it.
How many times have you told yourself that over the years?
And each year, you start exactly where you started the following year.
It's time to break the freakin cycle.
Make this your best year yet by letting go of what you think you need to do.
What exactly do you need to let go?
Well I got five of them for you...
Listen to my latest podcast, #149 to hear what they are and how you can FINALLY get what you want.Wed, 03 Jan 2024 - 267 - 148. Waiting Until January to Start? Don't
Waiting until January to start a new habit? Don't.
It will leave you worse off than where are you right now.
Why?
Because the second you decide to push it out 2 months, you are sending a signal to yourself that all bets are off, and now is the time to "live it up".
And the gap between where you are right now and where you want to go gets bigger and bigger.
Come January, your goal has to be even loftier...this makes it MUCH easier to drop come February.
Instead, allow yourself to be challenged by what is considered the busiest, most stressful time of year.
Because if you can do imperfect action during THIS time, imagine what you can do when life calms down.
Start. and start now.
Don't put your growth on hold...you deserve better than that.
Let's go deeper into the topic...listen to the latest Happy Health Podcast and get going!
Wed, 08 Nov 2023 - 266 - 147. How to Get the Most out of Coaching
You took the first major step...you hired a coach. That's a fantastic start but it's just that...a start. To get the most out of coaching, you gotta make sure you show up as the coachee. As someone who is a coach and always has a coach (multiple ones!), I see it from both sides and do think there is a BIG difference when three major factors come into play... 💛 Check in no matter what...doesn't matter if you didn't do a single thing your coach asked you to do. Still follow whatever check-in schedule they have set up. This lets your coach know where you truly are. If you want until you have something to report, you are wasting precious time when you could have been discussing WHY you didn't take action. 💛 Open up! Be vulnerable. A good coach wants to know what's going on in your head. They would want to know that you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or whatever else is going on. They can't help you if they don't know! 💛 Be as honest as possible. Don't cut corners...eventually, the data will catch up to your results. It's only hurting you and your progress. And it will take MUCH longer for you to get where you are trying to go. It's not just on your coach to PULL you towards your goal....you have to want it just as much as they want it for you! I go into more examples and detail in my latest podcast episode. Check it out!

This time of year is ALWAYS crazy yet we got to this time and it's like a surprise. We are like "Oh this time is SO busy!" It's the SAME thing ever year...yet are you allowing it throw you off year and year. So you step away from what you want. But this year is your chance to break that cycle. Look at what is coming up for you during this busy time. What do you need to change so that you are still moving forward? I promise you this...it doesn't mean putting everything on hold. Because come January, you will be right back where you started. Check out this week's episode on how you can readjust as we head into the busiest time of the year!
Tue, 05 Sep 2023 - 261 - 142. The "I Know Already" Syndrome
I know I need to do... I know what the steps are... I know what it takes to get there... But I am [FILL IN THE BLANK] Do you have the "I know already" syndrome? Mannnnn..it's easy to catch this one. Because there is SO much info out there, getting the HOW is pretty simple. Yet, you may still find yourself NOT executing on it even though you know what to do. Why is that? Because what isn't being addressed is your thoughts and feelings around those steps. When you think about what it takes, certain feelings are creeping up and because you want to avoid them, you avoid what you KNOW you need to do. So what the F do you do? You have to address those feelings, my friend. Until you do, you are going to continue saying, " i know BUT..." You know I got an episode for you on this topic...let's address HOW to face those feelings!
Tue, 29 Aug 2023 - 260 - 141. Spice It Up
How many of you think healthy food means bland?
Not in my world!
I grew up eating super flavorful, amazing food and as I got into the health world, it was not something I was willing to compromise on.
The only issue was as I started to learn about different foods and how they affect your wellness, I noticed many of my favorite condiments, spice blends and sauces had to go.
But thankfully, there are so many wonderful companies that had the same thought - good food doesn't have to be plain.

Wed, 23 Aug 2023 - 259 - Learn to Push Yourself
Let's talk about swings.
When you first get on a swing as a child, you need someone to push you the whole time.
Then, you learn to keep the momentum yourself after someone gets you going.
Eventually, you get to the point where you don't need the push at all.
Others can stand on the sidelines encouraging you to go higher and higher.
Now apply this to your life.
Do you find yourself saying you need someone to motivate you?
Well, that may be true....it's a slippery slope if don't learn to keep the momentum going.
Or worst yet, you don't ever learn to get going on your own.
This is why you may not be getting any momentum when it comes to your health...
You are waiting for something to push you on the swing the whole time.
But the second they are gone, the second they are not RIGHT now with you, you stop.
If you are done with that, and ready to LEARN the skills necessary to push yourself, join me in my new program, the Accountability Hub.
I will teach you how to PUSH yourself while I also show you how to go higher and higher.
You will learn to not NEED someone to push you...because you understand how to do it yourself.
Learn more about this program by listening to my latest podcast episode or comment hub below.
CLICK HERE TO LEARN ABOUT THE HUBTue, 15 Aug 2023 - 258 - How to Invest in Your Future Self
Do you invest in your future self?
Just like a money investment, we have the choice to invest in ourselves.
The workouts you choose to do this week are an investment in your long-term health.
The supplements you commit to taking daily are also an investment.
It works for other aspects too...the self-development work you are putting in right now may not pay off until a few months down the line.
It's all a choice and it's all about how you view it.
It's SO much easier to invest in your current self...that morning Starbucks run gives you an immediate dopamine hit.
And because we get used to the immediate return when we invest in our current selves, it causes us to struggle with long-term goals.
Both are possible...it's all about how you view it.
Check out my latest episode if you struggle with sticking to a goal!Tue, 08 Aug 2023 - 257 - Do you REALLY hate it?
You really HATE it? Or you hate how it makes you feel? You hate that it reminds you that you can't or that you failed. You hate that you struggle with it. You hate that you don't feel success. Maybe it's time to question WHY. By questioning the why behind your hate, you can uncover beliefs that are keeping you in a loop. Check out this episode as I go through how to question if you REALLY hate it and how to remove that block.
Tue, 01 Aug 2023 - 256 - How to Create a Morning Routine
Have you ever read a morning routine in a book or a post and thought....yeahhhhh that's not gonna work for me?
Or you test it out and you are all kinds of miserable.
I know I have.
I used to have to wake up at 4 am to train 5:15 am classes and let me tell you...I did it for years and never got used to it.
When I no longer had to wake up that early, I didn't...despite there being SO many things that promote it.
Here's what I DID take from reading about a morning routine...
You want to have one that works for YOU.
So how do you do that?
You ask yourself this, "What do I NEED/WANT to start the day?
The answer to that question will be different for each person which is why following someone's morning routine won't work UNLESS your answers are similar.
For example, maybe you need peace. You need a moment of solitude and stillness before everyone else is up and it becomes chaotic.
You may actually benefit from waking up super early and sitting outside with your cup of coffee and reading a few pages from your book.
Or maybe you wake up anxious.
You may benefit from working out in the morning to help relieve some of that.
It really all depends on what you want, what you need, and how the rest of your day generally plays out.
In this episode, I help you figure it out.
I go through how to craft a morning routine AND an evening routine that makes SENSE for your life...and is not based on someone elses.
Give it a listen and get crafting!
And I'm curious...what do you NEED in the morning? Post below!

- 252 - Desire = Discomfort
"Beware of minimizing desire in order to decrease discomfort"
My business coach said this the other day on a module of hers I was watching and I had to pause the video and just sit there.
Because damn.
I can think of many times when I convince myself I don't have to push toward a goal or do something hard because it's uncomfortable.
So what did I do?
I told myself I really didn't want it - I minimized my desire.
Yet the desire doesn't actually just go away...it's still there inside.
And it manifests as regret, frustration, bitterness, guilt, and disappointment.
You still WANT to go after that dream.
So the negative feelings continue to build and fester and you wonder why you can't shake them.
Because you crave GROWTH.
And growth requires discomfort.
I am still learning that lesson daily.
Listen to my latest episode and let's work through this one together.
Wed, 21 Jun 2023 - 251 - The Power in Prepping
You know that feeling of complete STRESS when you have a million things to do? What if you could start getting rid of that? It's simpler than you think... Look at what needs to be done. Most of what you do is actually pretty repetitive. If you don't believe that, write down what you do everyday and come back to me. So for the most part, you know what to expect. Move anything you can to BEFORE it needs to absolutely be completed. Yes it still takes the SAME amount of time. But you know what's different? Your stress level. Your emotions. Also, when it's go time, odds are something will go wrong, but because you now have LESS things to do in that moment, you can handle it better. Super simple example....prepping your breakfast the night before. Same time is spent. But now when you wake up and your brain is not fully functioning yet and you have a kid that needs help getting ready and your dogs need to be let out etc, guess what? You won't miss out on breakfast. By not missing out on breakfast, you won't find yourself stuffing a stale donut in your mouth when you get to the office. You won't be starving at lunch and grab whatever because you just NEED to eat. The five minutes you spent the night before will completely change the dynamic of your next time. Now imagine you did this in more areas? That's the power in prepping. Check out my latest episode to hear more ways to utilize this power!
Wed, 14 Jun 2023 - 250 - Simple Way to Analyze Your Results
Here's the SIMPLEST way to see why you are getting the result you are getting...
Print out a monthly calendar.
Pick ONE habit to focus on it.
Every day you do that habit put a checkmark for the day.
At the end of the 30 days, look at your result and your frequency of completing your chosen habit.
You will see the pattern.
(This is assuming you are realistic with your habit vs result...topic for a different post!)
Why does this work?
How many times have you had 30 days pass and you think, "Why didn't I get to where I wanted to be?"
You think of the time that went by, the money you spent, the course you signed up for, the coach you hire, etc.
BUT are you ACCURATELY looking at the HABIT necessary to get that result?
It's extremely common to unconsciously overestimate how many times you completed something.
By tracking it with a simple daily checkmark, you can gather true data instead of relying on what you THINK you did.
Test out this VERY simple process. (tomorrow is June 1st...what a perfect time to start!😉)
And listen to my latest episode to go deeper on the topic!
Wed, 31 May 2023 - 249 - The Secret to Self Confidence
The secret to self-confidence is not what you think. Have you ever said these words to yourself? "I would love to [blank] but I wish I had more confidence." But how do you build that confidence if you don't DO the thing you are wanting to be more self-confident with? It's a helluva loop to get stuck in. Do you know that the word confidence comes from the Latin word 'fidere'? Guess what that means? To Trust. So self-confidence means to have trust in oneself. Here's what that means....you CAN move forward in anything...you just gotta TRUST. You don't need to wait until you get to a certain weight, you don't need more money, you don't need ANYTHING but faith in yourself. Be your biggest cheerleader. And watch your self-confidence grow. Want to go deeper on this topic and learn some action steps you can take?
Check out this week's episode!
Thu, 04 May 2023 - 248 - Are You Too Worried About the End Date?
Stop worrying about the end date.
You set a goal.
And now you allow yourself to become CONSUMED with the end of this goal.
Meaning you can’t wait until it’s over.
You start telling yourself you can't WAIT to go back to your regular scheduled programming.
Let me ask you this...why the heck did you do the goal in the first place?
Was it not because you looked at your habits and the results they were yielding and wanted something different?
So then why allow yourself to focus on going BACK?
In this episode, I go through three mindset shifts to have instead.
You picked the goal for a reason.
You decided to do the hard work with an intention behind it.
And it was NOT so you can just let it all go to waste and continue your old habits after the end date.
Give it a listen and share it with a friend!
Wed, 26 Apr 2023 - 247 - How to Make Time Work for YouWed, 12 Apr 2023
- 246 - Are You Bringing Your Crap With You?
Are you bringing all your negative crap with you?
Sure, there were lessons learned, skills acquired, and new knowledge that you will use to get to the next level.
But what about the not so pretty things we don't even like to acknowledge is there?
How is THAT affecting you as you move from one thing to the next?
I can tell you one way....it sometimes leads you to blame the program, the course, the coach, etc INSTEAD of opening up to the possibly that it MIGHT be something you are doing.
In this episode, we get REAL honest about this and how it can affect every area of your life if you allow it to.
Give it a listen and all that I ask is that afterward, you take a moment and get curious about what crap you may be lugging around everywhere!
Wed, 29 Mar 2023 - 245 - 4 Simple Ways to Up Your Health Results
There aren't shortcuts to a healthy lifestyle.
But there are simple things you may not be doing that can make getting healthier easier.
In this episode, I go through 4 simple things I have implemented in the last few months that have made a huge impact on my results.
They are VERY easy to start doing...so easy, in fact that you may not think they will work for you.
I challenge you to give this episode a listen and pick 1 or more of my ideas to start doing consistently and watch how it impacts your health!
Tue, 21 Mar 2023 - 244 - Get Organized = Getting Healthier??
Your lack of organization is most likely affecting your health.
How many supplements have you purchased but now forget to take?
How many times have you bought a bunch of healthy foods that end up going bad because you don't have a plan for how and when to make them into actual meals?
How many things have you bought to help you with your health but after a week, it joins the pile of all the other things you purchased in the past that you aren't using?
ALL of these things are because of a lack of a system and/or plan.
It's not enough to just buy the thing you need....you also need to take the time to set up a plan to execute.
In this episode, I discuss why you don't need the next best thing to be healthier, you just need to get your act together and get organized with what you already have.
Tue, 14 Mar 2023 - 243 - Should you quit or keep going?
How do you know when it's really time to put something to bed or when you should stick it out? There is this stigma around quitting but there are times when it's the right call. For example, I quit being an accountant. I spent time and energy getting a freakin MBA, worked as an intern in accounting throughout school, and spent a few years working as a tax accountant. Then quit it all. And I've NEVER regretted it. On the other hand, I have had a ton of ups and downs in my current business but refuse to quit. What's the difference? I narrowed it down to three simple questions to ask yourself... Are you just uncomfortable? Is what is required to get you where you are wanting to go really pushing you out of your comfort zone and you are just unsure of how to handle that feeling? Do you still want the end result? You started on that path for a reason...do you still want it? Are you just having a bad day/week/month? Basically, are you in your feels? I go much deeper into these questions and how to apply them to your life in this episode. Give it a listen and put pen to paper and ask yourself these questions BEFORE you quit!
Tue, 28 Feb 2023 - 242 - Is the Extreme Always the Best Way?Wed, 25 Jan 2023
- 241 - Become More Familiar with the Uncomfortable
Who has watched Thor's new show, "Limitless"?
If not, put it on your list!
Chris Hemsworth takes on all these different challenges and brings on experts to help him prepare for them.
He also happens to be hilarious...and a little easy on the eyes...
In the second episode, after going through a few days of training for his upcoming challenge, his brother asks him does the training make it any less uncomfortable.
And he says...
"I don't if it's any less uncomfortable or you're just more familiar with being uncomfortable"
Man...did that resonate with me.
Sometimes it does get easier.
Other times and I would argue MOST times, it doesn't.
We just become used to the challenge and are therefore, more equipped to handle it.
But if you always wait for it to become easier, you will miss out on all the things you could have done not because they became easier but because you just got better.
In this week's episode, I discuss how this pops up in our health journey, our businesses, and our relationships.
Give it a listen!
And let me know how one thing you that's uncomfortable but you just got better at dealing with!Wed, 18 Jan 2023 - 240 - Why You're Struggling with Your Eating Habits
For most, their eating habits are the hardest thing to change when it comes to reaching their health goals.
It's the reason people struggle year after year.
Well, let's change that.
In this episode, I go through the 4 reasons you may be struggling AND what to do instead.
I've also created a PDF that summarizes everything in the episode.

Wed, 11 Jan 2023 - 239 - How to Get Results
Putting the finishing touches on my 2023 goals and I want to share 3 things that I think of when setting a goal and actually reaching it....
First is can I visualize the end?
Next is what are the habits necessary to get me there and am I willing to do those habits?
Finally, what do I need to put in place so that I can be consistent with the habits?
Simple but not exactly the easiest thing to work through.
Good news is I made a whole episode on how you can do the same.
I take you through each piece and what you need to do.
Before the end of the year, take 30 minutes, listen to the steps and then spend some time putting them into action!
Fri, 30 Dec 2022 - 238 - 3 Ways to Be More Efficient
In my book, being more efficient and effective with your time is a key component of happiness.
Why?
Because feeling behind and overwhelmed by all the things you need and want to do is stressful as hell.
So if you work on organizing your time and how you utilize it, you will find yourself less stressed and therefore happier.
In this episode, I discuss 3 ways to be more efficient so that you can focus on being a happier you!

- 236 - How Not To Get Crushed By The Holidays
What if you didn’t have to let the holiday absolutely crush you?
How would it feel to enjoy what was designed to be a joyous time AND not derail the F out of your goals?
Even if you’ve never felt that way, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible for you.
You gotta start with why you were doing the habits you were doing in the first place (more focus, less anxious, feel better, etc) and then ask yourself “Why would I STOP them during arguably the most stressful time of year??”
So let’s talk about how to do it.
Like everything else, it can change if you want it to.
And let me know ONE habit you will absolutely keep up during the holidays!

Wed, 09 Nov 2022 - 233 - Your Habits = Your Life
What you do on a day-to-day basis determines the results and outcomes you are getting right now.
That may seem obvious when you read it but how many of us have wants, dreams, and goals and are frustrated that we aren’t moving toward them?
It’s because the habits you have right now may not match up with the habits required to get there.
In this episode, I break down how to figure out those habits AND actually start living them…not just thinking about them.
If you are sick of not reaching your goals, give this episode a listen!
Tue, 01 Nov 2022 - 232 - Stepping Out The Second Time
Stepping out of your comfort zone is actually HARDER the second time you go to do it….
Everyone says it's the first time but I disagree.
The first time is challenging for sure but you are super motivated, you are either moving away from a great pain or towards pleasure, you want to leave where you are at SO bad and will push through to get there.
The second time though?
You now have made that uncomfortable place you worked SO hard to get to your new norm…and guess what? You don’t want to leave it…EVEN for something more.
During this episode, I go through even more reasons why they are different and how to handle each one so that you can continue to step out of your comfort zones and go for what you want!
What’s one thing you learned when you stepped out of your comfort zone??
Tue, 25 Oct 2022 - 231 - Are You Overcomplicating Everything?
Do you complicate the sh&% out of things?
You want to start eating better and exercising…
But first you have to research and find the BEST diet and the most effective exercise program.
Then you have to figure out your nutrition timing, exactly how much protein to eat after your workout and read that article on how much fruit is too much fruit.
Next, you have to check your schedule and find time to meal prep, exercise for an hour daily and get the perfect water bottle.
When you FINALLY get ALL of that done, then and only then will you be ready to start.
I know I am exaggerating but am I really???
We have a belief that being healthy is HARD so we make it hard.
It doesn’t have to be.
Sure there are challenges but find me something that never has challenges.
In this episode, we discuss how you may be making things complicated AF and how to simplify so you can get out of your head and start getting results.
p.s. Here’s the link for the challenge: https://www.amycattaneo.com/meta
Tue, 18 Oct 2022 - 230 - What Season Are You In?
A few weeks ago, I heard the parable of the pear tree for the first time.
And it stuck with me…I kept reading it over and over and getting different lessons from it.
So much so that I made a whole podcast episode on it!...lol
If you've heard it before, I would love to hear what’s your biggest takeaway from it.
If you haven't, give the episode a listen and share!

Tue, 11 Oct 2022 - 229 - What Can You do In 90 Days?
There are a little less than 90 days left in 2022.

Tue, 04 Oct 2022 - 228 - Your Story Is Not Over
“The story is not over until you put down the pen”
This was a quote from one of the amazing speakers at the doTERRA convention I attended a few weeks ago.
Ohhh it just hit me in the feels!
So I made a podcast episode about it.
If you are feeling lost, hopeless, frustrated, ALL the things…give it a listen!
Tue, 27 Sep 2022 - 227 - Hunger vs Cravings
What’s the difference between being hungry and having a craving?
I think the difference is pretty simple….
Hunger is when you want any food…A craving is when you want a specific food or type of food.
That part is simple…the challenging part is thinking about that in the moment, learning to listen to what your body truly wants and needs, and THEN following through on it.
In this episode, I go through the differences, how to spot them and how to check in with yourself to figure out which path to take!
Tue, 20 Sep 2022 - 226 - Do You Get Bloodwork Done?
Do you get bloodwork done regularly?
I recently had some done to check up on things and it confirmed what I suspected.
Here’s the thing though…it’s all about WHAT tests and the ranges on the tests.
I am obviously NOT a doctor but I have discovered a TON of things that were going on with my body that were missed by standard practices by doing certain tests.
In this episode, I share what I found out, how it’s helping me and why you would consider doing the same!
Tue, 13 Sep 2022 - 225 - How to Pick a System and Commit to It!
Once you find the perfect system, your life will be so much easier.
You just have to keep searching for it and then everything will fall into place.
What if I told you one does not exist and it’s not the system you are picking or the mysterious one you haven’t found yet but your commitment to one?
In this episode, I discuss how to pick a system and actually commit to it so it works!
Can you relate? Let me know in the comments!
Tue, 06 Sep 2022 - 224 - Vacation Habits
Do you stick to your healthy habits when you are on vaca?
I didn’t.
I would forget everything I put in place because I was “on vacation!”
Then I would come back and feel like I was starting all over again.
It actually felt like I would take steps backwards.
Then I started doing things for my health that were non negatable…and found it was necessary to do them no matter where the hell I was.
And my mindset around vacations shifted.
My mindset about my habit shifted.
And it has helped my health and longevity tremendously.
In this episode, I go through how I made that shift and how you can too!
Tue, 30 Aug 2022 - 223 - Learning vs Taking Action
If you just learn that ONE thing, listen to that ONE book, take that ONE course, then BOOM you would be at the next level.
I know I’ve told myself that a million times..yet that’s a bunch of bs.
It’s not about what you have yet to learn, it’s about what you have yet to implement.
In this episode, I discuss my own struggles with this and what to do about it!
Tue, 23 Aug 2022 - 222 - Is Your Life A Construction Zone?
Construction zones are a pain in the a$$ right?
They mess up traffic.
They ruin your commute.
Everyone seems to forget the rules of the road and it’s just super frustrating.
Yet, when we FIRST see that they are going to fix that road, it’s exciting.
And when it’s FINALLY done, it’s amazing.
It’s just the middle that sucks.
But the middle is when the work gets done…
You see where I’m going here…it’s the same thing with any project you are working on or any goal you are working towards.
It’s all sunshine and rainbows when we start and oh it’s going to be great when it’s finished.
However, everything in between those…ohhhh that’s the part that gets us.
In this episode, I discuss how to recognize when you are in the middle and what to do about it.
Thu, 18 Aug 2022 - 221 - Hustle vs Hard Work
Hustle, hustle, hustle.
It’s a work used a LOT these days.
Like if you aren’t hustling, you are doing it wrong.
What if that hustle all the time mentality leads to you feeling burnt out, starts affecting your health and causes you crash?
What’s the alternative?
Not doing anything?
Nope.
It’s still working hard and moving forward.
But there’s a BIG difference between hustling and working hard….and when it’s actually pretty easy to overlook yet is major in the long run.
In this episode, I go through the differences between the two, how to spot when you are in one mode or the other, and what to do about it!
Tue, 09 Aug 2022 - 220 - Dealing With Massive Change with Brenda Neckvatal
Have you ever had that feeling that things just need to change?
That you just need to shed what you are doing and do something else?
We’ve all felt that.
I felt that when I was an accountant.
My friend, Brenda, felt that after years in the HR industry.
And we both were moved to make a change.
In this episode, we discuss how to follow through with that feeling, use the skills you have to move forward, and what it takes to follow your gut!

Tue, 26 Jul 2022 - 218 - Organization = Less Stress
I used to be messy as hell.
My room as a kid used to drive my mom crazy.
And one of my college roommates would cringe at the ginormous pile of laundry that accumulated by my bed.
I would lose things all the time.
I would drive myself crazy digging through my mess to find something I needed.
It was the worst.
I finally said F this…I don’t want to be a messy person anymore.
Years later, I freakin love staying organized and truly believe it’s a huge part of being able to maintain my happiness.
In this episode, I go through the 3 reasons being organized can legit change your life….and how to start if you are a mess like I was!
Tue, 19 Jul 2022 - 217 - Can Positivity Be Toxic?Tue, 12 Jul 2022
- 216 - Realistic vs Idealistic
Want to know what's keeping you from building lasting habits?
Jumping from bubble to bubble.
We wait until the "perfect condition" and THEN start.
And yes...this can and usually does bring us a result.
Yet for many it can hold us back as during those conditions, we don't learn to handle the obstacles...so when we are hit with them later, it throws us off track.
In this episode, I go deeper into this and how to avoid it!
Thu, 07 Jul 2022 - 215 - How to Find Your Passion
“You just have to do what you love”
Have you ever heard someone say that and think, “cool story bro…but I still don’t know what to do!
You want to move to the next step…yet you are unclear on what that next step is.
You want to have a career or business that ignites you and fills you with passion but you are clueless about how to figure it out.
I have definitely been there.

It was slowly killing my soul.
And I knew I wanted to do something that made me happy…I just didn’t know what.
I figured it out though!
And in this episode, I go through three steps to finding your passion so that you can have a career or business that makes you jump out of bed in the morning!
Tue, 17 May 2022 - 214 - Your Gut vs Your Mind
You ever get stuck between listening to your gut versus listening to your mind?
It can be a tough situation.
I know I have been there a million times…and here’s what I know…when I follow my gut, it’s the right path every time...when I follow my mind…things can get hairy.
Your intuition is a powerful thing. It’s there for a reason.
Trouble is sometimes that gut feeling makes no sense…and if you are a super logical person, you sometimes can’t understand why your body is telling you something different.
This has been the case for me over and over.
And last week, I finally said, F this…me and my gut instinct are going for it!
In this episode, I go through how I came to that decision and why and how following YOUR gut may be just what you need right now!
Tue, 10 May 2022 - 213 - Are Your "Shoulds" Getting in the Way?
I should be doing that.
You ever say that to yourself?
Or to someone else.
You are working towards a goal or wanting to accomplish something and you find yourself stuck between what you SHOULD be doing and you just flat out not doing it.
Now on top of not doing the damn thing, you feel guilty.
What a great place to be right?? 😵💫
And what ends up happening most times is we let go of the goal.
Well I say F that!
In this episode, I go through three ways to let go of the shoulds and get down to reaching your goal.

Wed, 27 Apr 2022 - 211 - Focus on Your Progress
You know why progress not perfection is a great motto...despite how cliche it is?
Because as you progress, as you grow, as you learn, as you get better, the "perfection" line moves.
And if you focus on reaching a point that is constantly moving, you will drive yourself crazy.
However, if you embrace the fact that the line is moving as you evolve, you will come to LOVE the progress you make every day.
In this episode, I dive deeper into this topic and how it relates to all areas of your life.
Wed, 20 Apr 2022 - 210 - How to ReGroup When Feeling Overwhelmed
You finally got your act together and then BOOM!
You don't.
Now you feel overwhelmed and like you can barely keep your head above water.
Yup...I know how that feels!
First and foremost you are certainly not alone.

Trust me...others are feeling it too!
Second, in this episode, I go through exactly what I do when I feel overwhelmed!
Fri, 18 Mar 2022 - 209 - Do You Need More or Less Stuff?
Do you need more stuff or less stuff?
On one hand, a ton of stuff can cause clutter...which for most is STRESSFUL.
Who the hell wants that?
However, on the other hand, I can make a strong case why having MORE of the SAME exact item can make your less stressful.
So how the hell do you tell the difference.
Well you listen to my latest podcast! 🤣

Wed, 09 Feb 2022 - 207 - Learning to Not Dwell in the Past
"I wish I had learned this earlier"
Have you ever learned something that completely changes the game for you?
Yet you have regrets, frustrations, anger at yourself for NOT learning it years ago?
Yup. I know I've been there! 😬 😬 😬
It's common. It will happen. And we can't exactly STOP the thoughts from popping up.
But you can control how you react to it.
You can't hop into a time machine and go years back to teach your younger self.
So why let all those negative thoughts rob your present self of enjoying the new knowledge and rocking it out?
All that happens when you do that is you end up stressing yourself the f out and lose focus on implementing what you learn.
In this episode, I go deeper into how to avoid dragging yourself into the past and instead allow yourself to thrive in the present to have an amazing future!

Now, it's ALWAYS at the top of my list of priorities!
My daily habits are in line with keeping my immune system going STRONG.
In this episode, I go through the 5 habits I keep up with DAILY to ensure I'm helping my immune system out as much as I can!
Wed, 19 Jan 2022 - 205 - How to Move Forward Faster
You've set your goals.
You've set your intentions and targets.
But maybe that little voice in your head is already talking crap...
It's telling you who you are to think THIS year will be any different from last year when you didn't make much progress.
Or maybe you don't have that voice but you are feeling alone in all you want to accomplish.
Either way...the answer is you DON'T have to go it alone.
I actually recommended to NOT doing it all by yourself...where's the fun in that?
That's where having awesome people in your corner makes SUCH a difference.
In today's episode, I discuss why having an accountability partner and/or a coach helps you get where you want to go MUCH faster.
I also go through questions to ask to find the RIGHT one!
Check it out!
I want to know....how many of you guys have an accountability partner or a coach?
Wed, 05 Jan 2022 - 204 - Learning to Adapt to Change
"Don't let the concept of change scare you as much as the concept of staying unhappy."
Change is what moves us forward.
Change also scares the bejeezus about of many of us.
And that fear keeps up stuck.
It keeps us in a loop that we don't know how to remove ourselves from.
But it's not the change that most people fear, it's the CONCEPT of it.
And once you understand the concept and you understand what to expect, change becomes easy.
In this episode, we go into why change can be scary and how to turn it around and make it work for you.
Thu, 30 Dec 2021 - 203 - How To Work on Your Happiness
Have you ever sat and really thought about what Happiness means to you?
Like legit, sat down and wrote it out.
Not what it should be, not what others want for you but what you truly want?
Most people haven't.
It's thought of as this far-off thing that only happens when everything is perfectly aligned.
But what if things are never perfect? What if they are never aligned just right?
Does that mean you never get to be happy?
I'm calling bs on that!
In this episode, I breakdown my exact method for working on your happiness today...and not waiting for someday!

Wed, 15 Dec 2021 - 202 - How to Make Space in Your Life to Take on More
It may sound like an oxymoron but in order to do more, you have to make things easy...
We all have routines that we follow day in and day out...even if you don't realize it, you have a routine.
Now when you want to add something to your life...maybe learning a new skill, taking a class, etc., it makes sense that you have to find the time AND energy to do it.
Well how do you do that if your day is already stacked?
By looking at what you are ALREADY doing and figuring out a way to make those take up less time and energy.
That's exactly what I go through in my latest episode!
Wed, 08 Dec 2021 - 201 - Are you Tracking Your Goals?
So you have your goals written down.
You are all excited for the new year so you can start crushing them.
But do you have a way to TRACK them?
Will you be able to see where you are each week? Each month?
I set my goals yearly but I didn't have a great system for EASILY tracking them....until now.
In this episode, I go through the importance of not just setting goals but taking that extra step and tracking them so I can see where I am so I know exactly where I need to go.
p.s. I am giving away my personal goal template so check it out!

Wed, 01 Dec 2021 - 200 - Is Being Relentless a Bad Thing?
Relentless
What do you think when you hear that word?
Do you think harsh, cruel, severe?
Or do you think consistent, constant, persevering?
It actually can be either...it just depends on the person.
In this episode, I share a story about a time I wasn't relentless and it led to me losing something very important to me...and how it changed everything for me.
Wed, 03 Nov 2021 - 199 - Are you Competitive?
Are you competitive?
My husband and I were discussing this the other day and we were going back and forth on it.
Here was the issue...he was saying I am competitive and I disagreed...lol...
As I thought more about it, I disagreed because when I hear the word "competitive", I think of being a sore loser or not enjoying the thing you are competing in unless you win.
And that's not me.
BUT I do like to win and I do like to be compete depending on the situation.
So I was torn.
And I am to this conclusion...I like to compete but I am competing against myself.
I learned a long time ago that if I am ONLY working to bet someone else, I am NOT reaching for my full potential...I'm only going slightly past THEIRS.
And that's not what I want.
I want to compete against the person I was yesterday, the person I was last month, the person I was last year.
That girl is going down!
Because me and her are fighting for the same why.
We are striving for the same goals and passion.
Unlike someone else.
And by competing against HER, I am going to work to do MY absolute best.
In this episode, I go deeper into this and why competing against others may be holding you back.
Thu, 21 Oct 2021 - 198 - No Time for Self Care?
It used to be at the bottom of my list.
I would get to it when I "had time".
But here's what happened...
I would rarely find the time to actually get it done.
Or I would work myself into a ball of stress and overwhelm and be forced to take a break.
Neither of those options was ideal.
And it needed to change.
In this episode, I go through I make sure to make time for the most important person in my life
ME!
I also explain why YOU should be on the top of YOUR list.
Wed, 13 Oct 2021 - 197 - Are Morning People More Productive?
Does the early bird get the worm?
Or are night owls more productive?
I used to wake up super early because I HAD to and even though I am super chipper in the morning when I didn't have to wake up early in the morning anymore, I started to test some things out...
What I found was that I actually do my best work from mid-morning to late afternoon and often get a burst of more brain energy around 7 pm.
But when I was waking up super early, I was missing those workflow times because I was TIRED
So I said screw it...and decided to listen to my body
What about you? Do you listen to your body or do you feel like you have to wake up super early to be productive?
It's what I explore in this episode. I discuss why many of us believe only the early bird gets the worm but why this may be actually hurting your production.
And I discuss chronotypes. Have you heard of those before? If so, what's your type???
Wed, 06 Oct 2021 - 196 - Is Reading Fundamental?
How many of you read regularly?
No judgment!... I'm just curious!
Reading books for some was such a chore in school that once it wasn't required, books became a thing of the past!
For others, it is a huge part of their lifestyle.
I'm one of those peeps.
As a kid, I was put into one of those remedial reading groups. Turns out, I switch around letters and numbers sometimes. Couple that with the fact that I was extremely shy, my teacher figured I had trouble reading.
But I didn't. My reading comprehension has always been fantastic...I just won't be winning any spelling bees!
I went home and cried to my parents and they got me taken out on the class. #greatparents
Since then, reading has been my favorite hobby...I read fiction, nonfiction, and I run a book club with the BEST ladies ever
Reading books is a HUGE part of my life and I can't imagine it without it.
Why the hell am I telling you all of this?
Because one thing I noticed is that EVERY person I know that is successful, reads.
So I wanted to explore this topic a bit.
And that's exactly what I do in today's episode.
I breakdown some stats on reading and discuss why it may be the simplest path to where you want to be.
I also discuss how the heck I manage to read so many books each year.
Tune in!
And I'm always looking for more book suggestions!
What's the best book you have read this year?
Wed, 29 Sep 2021 - 195 - What's Your Money Story?
Man oh man was this a hard episode for me...
Because my money story is you are not supposed to talk about money.
But I've been diving deep into a few books and podcasts on money and the stories we have around them and I realized I have a TON of stories.
So I figured I can't be the only one!
This episode is different.
This one is about getting you to just think about what your story might be and if and how it may be causing you to be stuck where you are. Or why money is a stressor for you.
I'm still working through my stories so give this a listen and let's break through them together!
Mentions in episode:
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind - T. Harv Eker
The Millionaire Next Door - Thomas J. Stanley & William D. Danko
Wed, 18 Aug 2021 - 194 - Slow Down to Speed Up
What if you slowed speed for a bit and it helped you speed up in the future?
It may sound crazy but sometimes that's exactly what we need to go to really push forward.
It's actually what I have been focusing on this month and it is doing wonders!
In this episode, I discuss how slowing down and being intentional about it can actually help you move forward more efficiently and effectively in the long run.

You can't remember the last time you did something just for you.
You feel like you are constantly helping others move forward but not yourself.
It stinks!
How about we change that?
In this episode, I go through three ways to put yourself first and how that will actually help you show up better for everyone else!

I'm no expert it on it so I brought one on my podcast!

Wed, 03 Mar 2021 - 180 - Unconventional Nutrition TIps with Abbie Dow
Are you sick of seeing all the millions of different diets and quick fixes out there?
Cuz I am!
Over the last 10 years, I've seen it all, and working to get people back to basics is a pillar in the nutrition coaching program at my personal training studio.
A year ago, we got to the point where we needed help and brought on Abbie to our team.
And thank goodness we did!
She very quickly became an integral part of our team.
Here's a little bit about Abbie...
She has a bachelor's in Exercise Science and is currently studying for a master's in nutrition with an emphasis on dietetics. She is also completing the requirements for an RD credential.
AND she works full time at our studio, handling the majority of the nutrition coaching.
Because she is clearly a badass, I asked Abbie to be a guest on my podcast in order to go through her approach to nutrition coaching and share some tips and tricks.

Wed, 24 Feb 2021 - 179 - Go from Complicated to Simple!
Do you ever think of something you need to get done and just the THOUGHT of tackling it makes your stomach hurt?
Do you know why?
Because our brains like things to be simple.
We like things to be in bite-sized pieces.
And when they're not, it just seems like a big jumbled mess and it's super overwhelming.
Let's make things less complicated!
In this episode, I break down my process on how to go from complicated to simple!
Wed, 17 Feb 2021 - 178 - A Day in the Life Of
It's no secret that essential oils are my jam.
I use them every day to help improve and support my health, my mindset, and my general well being.
They started as something I used here and there and over time, as I started to get results with one oil, I kept thinking, “what else can I use them for?"
And before long, they were a staple in my day to day life.
But just like everything else in life, most of us view them from a macro level and not a micro level.
Meaning we say oh cool, Lavender can help support my sleep…but we have no idea how to incorporate that into our routines.
In this episode, I go through a day in the life of me using essential oils to support me throughout my daily tasks and easy ways to incorporate them so that they don't become a burden but a way to make your life better!p.s. I am starting The 10 Days to a Happier You Challenge on February 15th.Click here to join!
Wed, 10 Feb 2021 - 177 - Is 1% Better Worth It?
Things are going well.
You have been doing it that way for months, years maybe.
It works. It gets the job done.
Can it better?
Of course.
Anything can always get better.
That's where things get tricky.
We all get stuck in our ways and when it comes time to change, it's SO easy to cling to our old way especially if that old way is working.
But let me ask you this...if you are at 90% and someone comes along and says, "Hey, if you implement X, it will make you more efficient and get you to 91%."
Would you do it?
Is that worth it to you?
That's what I discuss in today's episode.
What are your thoughts? Is that 1% increase worth it?
Wed, 27 Jan 2021 - 176 - It's not the food, it's your mind.
How many diets have you tried?
How many times have you tried to change your eating habits and find yourself going back to what you were doing before?
How about your nutrition program looks on point on paper but you just can't seem to stick to it.
So you try another diet.
You try another app.
You cut out different foods this time.
But nope. Different programs, same results.
Here's why...
It has nothing to knowing exactly what to eat. Because let's be honest...we know which foods we need more of and which ones we need to cut back on.
The issue is our minds!
That's what needs to be addressed.
In this episode, I go through three simple things to become aware of when it comes to healthy eating and exactly how to start working on them.
Need help putting them into practice? check out the course I created to help with just that at amycattaneo.com/happinesscourse.
Wed, 20 Jan 2021 - 175 - 4 Tips to Achieve Work/Life Balance
Is work/life balance even possible?
Anything is possible if you actually put in the work.
BUT the issue is that balance is NOT going to be 50/50 all the time.
That balance is NOT going to be the same weekly.
And it's not going to be the same for each person.
What I consider work/life balance is different will be different from yours.
So how the heck do we achieve it?
In this episode, I go through 4 tips on how to balance all parts of your life!
Fri, 15 Jan 2021 - 174 - How to Get Sh&% Done!
Goals, new years resolutions, intentions, projects, to-do lists, targets.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you call them.
What TRULY matters is the actual plan to get them done.
Because without that, they will just become something you wished for instead of something you accomplished.
That's why it's important to plan it out, track it, schedule it, and see where you stand.
In today's episode, I go through the exact process I use to step by step to get stuff done.
Keep in mind, it takes work.
It takes time.
But once it's done and you have a solid baseline plan that you can work from and tweak as you go along, it is like a weight is lifted off of your shoulders!
Let's do this!
Wed, 06 Jan 2021 - 173 - Goal Setting: How to Access Your Goals And Set New Ones
Can you believe that 2021 is almost here?
This has somehow been the slowest fastest year ever!
And just let every other year, I spent this past week looking over my goals for 2020 and setting new ones for 2021.
In this episode, I go over exactly how I do that.
Accessing your wins, what worked, what didn't etc is key to moving forward and figuring out where you want to go next.
It's also super important to create a solid plan to actually hit your goals.
So let's do it together!
Thu, 31 Dec 2020 - 172 - Do You Want to Suffer Now or Later?
Sometimes, most times actually, things worth doing that move us forward, make us grow, get us results, require hard work.
Hard work is just that. HARD!
It sucks at first...sometimes for a long time...and that's why many of us give up.
Because it hurts.
It hards.
It's not fun.
It's not all rainbows and sunshine.
But I'm going to let you in on a little secret...it never will be.
So you can either choose to go through now or later...when most times it has become 10x harder.
And then you find yourself wishing you had started earlier.
In this episode, I dive deep into how growth starts with some pain...and why it's not a bad thing!
