Peru ticks all the boxes for the adventurous traveler. You can surf, you can spend time in the Andes Mountain, and see the highest lake in the world, Titicaca.
Some cities are very modern and ancient at the same time, there are African, European and indigenous influences. There is also the Japanese who came in the 1800s to escape the war, and has created all this fusion with the food that makes Peruvian food the most delicious in the world. It has a layer of 90 micro climate, the most bio diverse country on earth.
