They had just rented a movie and were walking their bikes back down the dirt road leading to Jacob’s house. Out of nowhere a man appears. He's wearing a mask and has a gun. He orders 2 of the boys to run away and when they get far enough away that they feel safe, they turn around to look back but see nothing. The man AND Jacob are both gone. Who took Jacob? Mary Vincent was just 15 years old when she ran away from home and hitchhiked from Nevada to California. Mary is standing alongside the road with two other hitchhikers when a man pulls up in a blue van. The 2 hitchhikers ask him for a ride but he says he only has room for one and could give Mary a ride. They notice his van his completely empty. There's no reason he couldn't fit all three of them. They tell Mary not to go with him....it's not safe. But, she does. And she would regret it for the rest of her life.

22 year old Gabby Petito and her 23 year old fiance Brian Laundrie were spending the Summer traveling from New York to Oregon in a van they converted into a camper. They were blogging their journey and were set to reach Oregon by Halloween but when Brian returned home to Florida on September 1, 2021, without Gabby, everyone knew something was very wrong.

Jasmine was only 7 years old when her life was changed forever. Her parents were divorced and on June 1, 2006, she had spent the day with her father and begged her mother to let her spend the night at his place. Her mother kept refusing and finally Jasmine agreed that she would just see her father the next day. But that would never happen….unknown to all of them, Jasmine’s mother had just saved her life. 7 of Jasmine’s family members (including her father) were brutally murdered later that night. 

A millionaire dentist, an (almost) ex-wife, a cop, and 2 psychics are what make up this case….

When John Yelenic, a small town dentist, meets the woman of his dreams, he tells his friends that he ‘got the homecoming queen’. John is a very wealthy dentist who showers his new wife with lavish gifts. But things soon go south for the couple….John’s wife has a confession. And John isn’t so innocent himself and also has something to confess. The couple ends up heading for divorce, and on the day he is to sign the divorce papers, John ends up murdered.

When 56-year-old Robert Haney is reported missing in January 2014, detectives search the property where he was living. And what starts out as a search for a missing person, quickly turns to a double murder investigation that includes a woman he was working for and her pet pigs.

Domestic violence is something that happens all too often. And unfortunately in this case a young mother, who is stuck in a love triangle, falls victim to it over and over again. In January 2015, Jessica Goebel ends up being attacked in her home and is stabbed over 20 times. But, she's STILL ALIVE! The killer leaves after the attack and a call is placed to 911. The police get to Jessica's house and find her leaned up against the wall on the kitchen floor, clinging to life. Her 2 1/2-year-old daughter and 9-month old daughter are in the house with her and they're covered in their mother's blood. Jessica is gasping for breath. Police try to save her and immediately bring her to the hospital. At the hospital, there is an investigation going on in the hospital room right next to her. Could her killer be in the room literally right next door? Jessica is placed on life-support and her family ends up having to make an unthinkable decision...

On September 1, 2016, a 13-year-old boy returns home from school. He hears his dogs barking in the basement so he goes to see what they're barking at. They're scratching and barking at a closed door. When he opens it, he finds his 52-year-old stepmother Rhonda Oakley....murdered. Detectives immediately search the house and find that a knife is missing from a set in the kitchen. When Rhonda's husband gets home he can't believe what he's seeing...his son crying, there are police everywhere...and they tell him that his wife has been murdered. While talking to police, he points out that it's not just a kitchen knife that's missing. Two other things are missing as well: Rhonda's car, and his daughter. Could the killer have stolen Rhonda's car and kidnapped her step-daughter? They need to get to her before it's too late.

In the late hours on August 26, 2012, 18-year-old Dana Woods and her 22-year-old best friend June Guerry stop at a fast-food restaurant. They call Dana's mother to say they are going to give a friend a ride home and will be back home shortly. But, the girls never return home. The next morning June's dad ends up driving around in search of the girls or their car. As he's driving he spots the car! They had just passed him on the road! But neither girl is driving it....instead, he sees a man driving. And he doesn't even see the girls in the car at all. He turns around to chase the car down but ends up losing it. He continues searching....and a little while later, police get a call. It's a man who says he found a car in the woods....burned to a crisp. It's the girls' car. Their bodies aren't inside though....so, where are they?

Debbie Gama was a 16-year old student from Erie, Pennsylvania, who was about to enter her Senior year of high school. But, she never gets that opportunity. Debbie is found strangled to death and floating in a creek. The man responsible for Debbie's death was actually someone she was very fond of..and someone no one would ever imagine to be behind this. After admitting what had happened to Debbie, her killer says it was a complete accident...that he never intended to kill her. But, then police dig into his past and find that he has committed other heinous acts against teenage girls...he's even lost his teaching job over it. So, why wasn't he stopped before it reached the point of killing Debbie?

During the Summer of 1979, two men who met in prison (now known as the 'Toolbox Killers') scanned the Pacific Coast Highway in California looking for girls between 13 and 19 years old. The men came up with a plan to act out a sick fantasy they shared...to abduct, rape, torture, and murder teenage girls. On Halloween 1979, the pair end up killing their final victim…and start making some mistakes that could get them caught.

On Halloween night 2004, three roommates in Napa, California, go to bed after handing out candy to local trick-or-treaters. One of the roommates goes to her downstairs bedroom while the other two go upstairs to their rooms. A little while later the downstairs roommate sees their security light go on outside but, she assumes it's just one of the other roommates' cats. Then, minutes later she hears someone enter the house and go upstairs. Assuming it's just a boyfriend she tries to fall back asleep. But, she is again awoken...this time by blood-curdling screams. She opens her bedroom door and tries to get a better listen of what's going on. She completely freezes in her doorway as she hears her two roommates upstairs screaming for help.....and someone is running down the stairs right towards her...

Episode 6, part 2.

Halloween should be a fun time for kids. They get to dress up in costumes, go trick-or-treating with their friends, and eat candy all night long. But on Halloween night in 1974, 8-year-old Timothy O'Bryan had his last candy hunt. While Timothy is going house-to-house filling his bag with candy, he gets home and his father lets him choose one piece of candy before bed. Timothy chooses a large pixy stix. Shortly after eating the candy, Timothy becomes ill.....and actually ends up dying. The candy he chose to eat that night was found to have been poisoned. Was Timothy the intended target? And WHO would poison a child? 

Episode 5, part 2.

On April 20, 1999, 12-year-old Cally Jo Larson got off her school bus and walked the 1 ½ blocks to her home like she always did. But this time when she got home, she was met by an intruder. It seemed like it was a robbery turned murder...maybe the intruder panicked and killed the girl. Police are scratching their heads trying to figure out who killed this young girl. After many months go by with no suspects it seems the case may go unsolved. But, it would take a phony identification card to catch her killer.

Episode 4, part 2. 

The murder of Carol Thompson was known to many as the “murder of the century” and has actually been rumored as having been the inspiration for the 1996 film, Fargo.

In the morning on March 6, 1963, a woman looks out her window and sees something that makes her do a 'double take'. She sees her neighbor slumped on the front steps of her home. She's partially clothed in a robe and bloodied beyond recognition. Carol Thompson was brutally attacked in her home and barely makes it out alive. But a few hours later, she succumbs to her injuries. Police quickly began their investigation. One person that all roads seemed to be leading to was her hotshot criminal attorney husband. But did he really do it? Or was this a passerby whose robbery attempt had gone wrong?

Episode 2, part 2.

On Christmas day 2010, Tamara Mason wanted to play a game of Yahtzee with her 3 sons after their Christmas dinner. But, her sons didn't want to play and had a different idea. The friendly game quickly turns deadly as the 3 sons murder their own mother. With the ground being frozen, they aren't able to bury her body. So, instead they hide it in a shed for months! What fueled these brothers' sinister plan?

In April 2015 there is a house fire near the very small town of Balaton, MN. After the blaze is under control, 2 bodies are discovered inside the home. But, the cause of death isn't the reason that seems to be right in front of firefighters....could it have been a burglary gone wrong? Or something more?
