Sweet Lizzy Project, a Cuban rock band who is now based in Nashville. The band was one of the top bands in its native Havana when Raul Malo, front man for The Mavericks, met them in 2017 while filming a PBS show called Havana Time Machine. Raul and his wife Betty, both Cuban Americans, fell in love with the band but could see the glass ceiling for them in their country. They sponsored the band for U.S. work visas, signed them to The Mavericks’ indie label, Mono Mundo Recordings and moved them to Nashville.

The band leaders are vocalist and lyricist Lisset Diaz, whose unmistakable and expressive voice may bring to mind Kate Bush, Natalie Merchant or Paramore’s Hayley Williams. Her co-writer and co-band leader Miguel Comas is one of Cuba’s most respected record producer and rock guitarists. The U.S. debut album Technicolor will be released on 2/21/20 via MonoMundo/Thirty Tigers.

Commentary

I found the answer to my question in a unusual place - a movie called "Hannah Montana The Movie". My question was, who am I? Along the way I lost who I was, what inspired me, what drove me to be the person I am and I had no way of knowing how to get that back. Many people fall into the same situation, especially creative individuals because many of them if not most put their entire selves into their work and along the way they can forget who they are. This can cause serious situations where they lose inspiration, lack focus, and confidence. I explain how that movie gave me the answer I was searching for and even more, how that answer can help you.

John Allan Miller - John is a country music singer/songwriter who has a brand new tour called "Bad Day to Be A Beer" tour and it's also the name of his newest single. The Houston Astros were caught signal stealing over the past three years. The scandal rocked major league baseball because it allowed them to get to and win 1 World Series and finish 2019 as the AL Champion. Don Iwerks - Don Iwerks (himself a Disney ‘legend,’), son to famed animator and Walt Disney's top artist Ub Iwerks (Silly Symphonies, Snow White, Steam Boat Willie) and now author of a new book called "Walt Disney's Ultimate Inventor: The Genius of UB Iwerks.

John Susman - John is the director of the movie "Game Day". John Susman’s script of Game Day received an Illinois Arts Council Award, was selected into the IFP Film Market in New York and was a finalist in the Illinois/Chicago Screenwriting Competition. He wrote and directed the award-winning film Making the Man, screened in over a dozen international film festivals. He wrote the plays Nelson & Simone (Midwest New Plays Festival, Live Bait Theater), Tiger Treadwell Takes Tinseltown (Uprising Playwright’s Award, Los Angeles Theatre Unit), and Café Society (Heideman Award Finalist Actors Theatre of Louisville, Circle Theatre New Plays Festival).
