- 99 - BUDDHA BEATS — Episode 99 / Hard Style
I have been a raver since 1992, and have been to lots of events over the years. My hope with these mixes is that I can somehow teleport you — my listeners — mentally to the spaces that these kinds of events went down in. Illegal “Outlaw” parties, full-blown armory/convention hall sized raves, super sweat-soaked club nights, all where you danced yourself into happiness. The DJs at those events brought their “A Game”, and everyone left at the end having made new friends, and sore legs walking out.
I have stories upon stories of nights like this.
This month’s mix reaches back yet again to encapsulate the feeling of these massive warehouse raves from the 1990s, as well as just providing sick tunes to dance to if there’s no nightclubs or DJ nights near you. I hope these mixes provide you with the motivation to push the tables back, roll up the carpet, and get your groove on. I’ve included a track that I’ve written at the end called “FLOORFILLER”, that has done just what the title says most times I’ve played it.
Something else to know about the show: All of these episodes are hand mixed by me (and the guests do theirs by hand too), and none of the mixes are repeated. Not a one. I hand pick the tracks that really speak to me from sources across the internet. Beatport, Bandcamp, Traxsource, Juno Download, Apple Music, Soundcloud, and others, as well as from my vinyl, cassette, and CD collections. The order in which they end up in the mix, that happens at the decks.
I really hope you enjoy this mix. If you check out the video mix for this episode, you’ll get a sneak peek at some merch that will be available for you at the party on October 26th.

Thu, 23 May 2024 - 1h 08min - 94 - BUDDHA BEATS - Episode 94 / Techno
This mix was inspired by the DJs I got to see this past weekend (April 20th) in Los Angeles. They really had the floor eating out of the palm of their hands. It had me thinking the whole way back to my hotel, and again on the way back to Philly. So, I when I got behind my own decks, I immediately started recording. This mix is a result of just going for it. There are four of my own tracks in here, and are surrounded by some sweet tracks.
Please share this mix with your friends. Enjoy!

Mainly, because I took the time to get it right. Not like I didn’t for the others I’ve done, but I am extremely proud of this one. I hope you’ll agree!

Thu, 29 Jun 2023 - 1h 31min - 88 - BUDDHA BEATS 88-BREAKS & BASS MIX
Hello all! The Engineer here. Welcome to Episode 88 of the BUDDHA BEATS podcast! I hope you’re doing well. Question for you: Do you remember when breakbeats was the new hotness? No? Break-whats? For those who weren’t around in the scene when breakbeats were all the rage at the time, check this video out for a small primer (https://youtu.be/B4r0MdBQI6U). The reason for the reference, is that this month’s mix is all breaks and bass. This includes genres like Baltimore Bass style, Rave Breaks, Funky Breaks, Ghetto Bass, and others.
NOTE!: Some tracks have adult language, so I apologize for that, and you have been warned.
That being said, these tracks — like many — take me back to when I first heard, or spun tracks from these genres, and I thought I would share these with you all. Now, what’s more important, is that all of the tracks listed here except the last one are by artists on Bandcamp.com. As an artist, it’s tough to get people to notice your work, and Bandcamp is a great place to find some of the most creative pieces out there. I wanted to make sure these amazing productions and the artists who brought them to life get to an audience, with me as the conduit. I have included links in the track listing (https://daibutsumusic.com/buddhabeats/episode88), so if you like what you’ve heard, PLEASE. GO. SUPPORT. THESE. ARTISTS. While there are free tracks on Bandcamp (where you pay what you think the track is worth), please spend a few bucks and help these fine folks out. You'd like to hear more of their music right? Me too. So, let's get them acknowledged, and a few buck towards, bills, gear, services that they need to continue doing what they clearly love doing: making dope music.
Daibutsu Music has a store there too, and I love getting an email that lets me know someone purchased my work on the Bandcamp platform.
Please share this mix on your social feeds, it is greatly appreciated. Enjoy the mix!

Mon, 01 May 2023 - 1h 16min - 86 - BUDDHA BEATS 86 - Hypnotic Techno Mix
If you hadn't noticed, I've really been digging the more hypnotic techno as of late. There has been some seriously sweet pieces I've discovered, so I thought this month's mix should a hypnotic one. Something else that has stood out to me is Bandcamp.com. This website has a LOT of amazing talent on it, and I have made sure that I get my releases there as well. Quite a few of the tracks on the mix are from artists/producers/DJs on the Bandcamp platform, and I highly recommend you check Bandcamp out if you haven't already. A close friend of mine referred Bandcamp being the equivalent of real crate digging, and I completely agree.

Mon, 23 Jan 2023 - 1h 01min - 83 - BUDDHA BEATS — Episode 83 / Techno
This is the last BUDDHA BEATS mix of 2022. This year, I made some pretty big strides. When I look back at how far I’ve come, it seems makes me feel amazing to see that I achieved so much . Today I also released the discography for the first ten years of the Daibutsu Music label. It’s got 100 tracks, and that’s nothing to sneeze at.
Normally, I would have a video recording of the mix being made, but when I got home from work, and finally got to make the mix, I just turned on the decks, and recorded it straight to my iPod Touch. I didn’t even fire up the computer, the visuals, or the cameras. I’m being honest here, I was tired from work. Retail during the Christmas season is ridiculous, and I’m sure I don’t have to tell anyone about that for you to get the gist of what I’m saying..
But, listening back to this, it turned out so well. So, with that, I want to say Merry Christmas / Feliz Navidad, and Happy New Year to you!

Hello and welcome to Episode 81 of BUDDHA BEATS. I’m The Engineer, your DJ for the next hour. This month we have tracks from ShadowWork, Lee Holman, Daniel Levak, Jason Johnson (DE), and a few from yours truly. After a much needed break, I'm back in the studio, and behind the decks, bringing my sound to party people worldwide. I've been recharging my batteries after doing two years of massive output (for me) in bringing you my own tracks, and mixes with tracks that I feel light up the dancefloor! And it feels good to be back. If you haven’t signed up for the monthly newsletter, you can do so at daibutsumusic.com This is The Engineer signing off until next time, saying PEACE!

Sun, 23 Oct 2022 - 1h 17min - 80 - BUDDHA BEATS 80 - Juneteenth 2022
Juneteenth, 2022. Last year’s mix was fun, but this time, I wanted to bring some attention to the people who bring us these amazing performances, ideas that eventually became hits, even if only in the most underground of spaces. This mix features House and Techno legends like King Britt, DJ Dozia, Carl Cox, Kerry Chandler, Todd Terry, Mike Huckaby, Idris Elba, and Green Velvet. Along with singers like Whitney Houston, Martha Wash, Jocelyn Brown, Rainie Lassiter, and Billy Porter. These people inspired the likes of The Funkboys, Komanche and myself to continue to move the music forward. Happy Juneteenth, Pride, and Black Music Month. Enjoy!
Fri, 24 Jun 2022 - 1h 43min - 79 - BUDDHA BEATS - Episode 79 / Techno & Rave Classics
When I had started going to raves back in the 90's, the only "online" places were CompuServe, Prodigy, AOL, and if you really knew what you were doing, you would log on to a BBS — a Bulletin Board System. And these were used for chatting with people across the country, and depending on what you logged into, even the world. I remember logging into a BBS one night, and learning of a rave party once. Other than that, the best way to learn of the parties were flyers and word of mouth. And, once you learned of the party, in order to throw off the authorities, there were map-point hotlines. You would call from the first one, find out where the next one was to get to the party. Sometimes it was in a decrepit or dilapidated building or warehouse. These were called Illegal or "Outlaw" raves. That being said, the DJs, and the music you heard at these events were magical. Now that I'm older, and have amassed quite a nice catalog of tracks from that area in various formats (CD/vinyl/MP3s), I always wanted to play at one of those events from back in the day. But something I quickly learned was how distant the BPMs were for large number of the tracks from that era, and how the speed of almost all of them drifted between a few different BPMs! And back then, there wasn't any sync buttons, or even digital DJ decks to use. It was ALL vinyl! I give credit where credit is due, the DJs back then made it look as simple as tying your shoe, when it was more like trying to knit a quilt from multiple directions. In this month's mix, I have been able to incorporate some of today's hard techno tracks in a mix withe some classic rave tracks from the like of Acen's "Trip II The Moon" (Parts One And Two), Church Of Extacy's "Passion", and Interactive's "Elevator Up & Down". Each of these tracks, if played for a raver who went to parties in the 1990s will instantly be able to tell you their escapades in which each of these tracks played a part! And to top it all off, I added my own track "Original Raver" to close the set. This unreleased track is my own attempt at writing a 90's rave track, complete with rave whistles! Let me know what you think! Enjoy!
Mon, 23 May 2022 - 1h 26min - 78 - BUDDHA BEATS - Episode 78 / House 2 Techno
I really miss riding on the train, and often think about Japan, London, and France — the subway systems that I've ridden outside of the U.S. I got my DJ name from an a beautiful moment I spent with my father, who passed on his love of train rides to me. So this month's mix leaves the station in the deep house area with Andrius Zamba's "London Underground" (London's subway system, also known as "The Tube"), which I have ridden. From here, it's a smooth ride until we get past the 7th track, "My Lips" by Crazibiza, and onto "Sunglasses" by 2Lovers where everything picks up a bit. We even enter Tech House territory before ending up in the land of Techno, with Ramon Tapia's "Bang The Box". Let me know what you think!
Sat, 23 Apr 2022 - 1h 25min - 77 - BUDDHA BEATS - Episode 77 / Techno Mix

Wed, 23 Mar 2022 - 1h 41min - 76 - BUDDHA BEATS - Episode 76 / Deep to Disco
February 23rd, 2022, and the COVID-19 Pandemic is still going on. The rise of crime and violence has climbed to a point where you have to seriously think about going out, with all the robberies, murders, and carjacking going on. With all of that going on, it got me thinking about all the fun nights I’ve had, clubs and raves I’d been to, the people I had met at them, and all the amazing music I’ve heard. Almost subconsciously, I immediately went to the computer and started picking tracks that would have me on the floor all night back then. When I was finished, I looked over the track list and then it hit me — I had created the longest house set for the show. And it covers quite a few shades of house music too!
I wanted to revisit those hot, sweaty nights, where race, financial status, car you drove, the job you had, didn’t matter. Back then it was all about the music, and having a good time through dancing. Still the best way to exercise, and the most cathartic way I know to ease the soul. Rather than wish for a device or vehicle that would take us back to that time, I think we can bring all of that music, care for one another, and love for scene, forward into today and leave the negative vibes at home. This mix is a non-stop, TWO HOUR ride through five shades of house music. Even Axel Foley makes an appearance. If you know, you know. (wink)
As with all the mixes, this was all done in ONE take, no edits.
Wed, 23 Feb 2022 - 2h 12min - 75 - BUDDHA BEATS - Episode 75 / TECHNO
Hello and welcome to Episode 75 of BUDDHA BEATS! Our first episode of 2022! This month we have tracks from Yves Deruyter, Chris Kolle, Mython, Yan Cook, and myself. This is a techno mix, so don't expect it to let up, not one bit! It’s time to head to The Temple folks! Let’s get those sneakers on and LET’S GO!!!

- 73 - BUDDHA BEATS 73
This month's mix is a serious exercise in the hard/dark techno genre. I have combed through my collection for the selections used here, and they're here because of their sonic characteristics as well as rhythm and danceability. There will be artist names you may have never heard of. If you hear a track you like, I urge you to go and support them. Because like yours truly, every little bit helps. Make sure you have earplugs to save your hearing, and stretch before dancing, especially to this mix, as we'll be traveling at 130+ BPMs. And I wouldn't want you to pull a muscle or anything.
Tue, 23 Nov 2021 - 1h 07min - 72 - BUDDHA BEATS — Episode 72 / Drum & Bass Mix
So, for this month’s mix, I wanted to return to one of the first styles I got into as a DJ. Back then, music like this fell under the name of “breakbeat”. This evolved into a much better one: DRUM & BASS. And like many other electronic genres, it has its offshoots. Jungle, Jump-Up, Tech-step, Ragga-Styles, Intelligent, Jazz-step, Atmospheric, Neurofunk, Hard-step, Dark-step, as well as Dubstep. From these we also now have the sultry, jazzy Liquid Funk (lots of beautiful vocals, very dream-like). If you want to check out some DnB artists on your own, look up Goldie, Doc Scott, DJ Rap, Aphrodite, Grooverider, Fabio, and S.P.Y. for starters. Record Labels to seek out: Metalheadz, Propa Talent, Good Lookin’, Hospital Records, Moving Shadow, and 31 Records, for some seriously sick tunes. Full track listing on www.daibutsumusic.com

Time to head to The Temple folks, let’s get those sneakers on and LET’S GO!!!

This 69-minute mix is sure to have you dancing, maybe giving you an extra boost on your run, your workout, or helping you look forward to when you'll be revisiting the dance floors of the world.

Fri, 30 Jul 2021 - 1h 03min - 68 - BUDDHA BEATS — Episode 68 / Juneteenth House Mix
This month's mix is a grooving house mix that has some classics, as well as some tracks that have been disco-flipped so beautifully, that I had to include them. I had a lot of fun putting this mix together. There's even some "neighborhood cookout" style funk too! Lots of fun, groovy, disco-style house vibes this month. What a great way to celebrate our latest national holiday, Juneteenth!
Sat, 19 Jun 2021 - 1h 09min - 67 - BUDDHA BEATS - Episode 67 / TECHNO
This mix starts at 130 bpm, and climbs up throughout the whole thing, and you'll feel it build as you listen. Sure the pace may seem blistering for the uninitiated, but trust me, you'll love it! It keeps you moving the entire time. There are some classics as well as a remix of a classic that is quite awesome.

This month's episode was mixed by yours truly. I decided that I wanted this month's offering to have a start and a finish, where when finished, you'll feel like you've had a good club night out. If you wanted to feel like you went to an illegal rave, and didn't leave until the birds were ushering in a new day, then this mix has got you covered. If you like the mix, you can check out the track listing on this episode's page on the Daibutsu Music website. Other than that, I'm very proud of this mix, as it has a real beautiful opening and closing, with all the mayhem of a sweaty, underground, warehouse rave crammed in between!
Sat, 31 Oct 2020 - 1h 17min - 62 - Buddha Beats 62 - Qu-Zen / Techno
This month's podcast mix is a very special one coming all the way from Tel Aviv, Israel. I bring to you, Qu-Zen! When I tell you that this mix is special, due to her vast range of genres, what she brings to any event she plays is nothing short of epic. Qu has graced the decks in Melbourne (Machine), Berlin (Tresor, Globus, Kit Kat Club), and Wee Jasper (Dragon Dreaming Festival). Qu-Zen is also a producer, and her music can be found on the Sounds Something and Hypnotic Room imprints.
This mix is going to take you back to those old school rave days, as well as into the future with some of the heaviest techno. This mix is in the 145-150 BPM range, so if you wanted something to go with your morning run, prepare to take flight! For those of us who prefer a dance floor, the walls will be sweating also!
Are you ready? This is RAW, and Qu-Zen really BRINGS IT. You have been warned! Enjoy!!

Sat, 25 Jul 2020 - 1h 04min - 60 - Buddha Beats - Episode 60 / House Mix
Hello and welcome to Episode 60 of BUDDHA BEATS! I’m The Engineer your DJ for the next 1hr and 40mins! This month we have tracks from Jess Bays, Luca Debonaire, Mark Knight, The Shapeshifters, Robbie Tronco, and James Curd. This mix for everyone, but just to be clear, if it wasn’t for Disco music , and protest music before that being played in and by LBGTQ+ establishments, in the late 60, and into the 70s, we would not have the house music we know and love, and the other genres wouldn’t have taken off they way they did, if not for house music. Let’s be allies, not enemies. Let’s spread love, not disease. This is an all house music mix, so move the furniture out of the way, get the sneakers off, and LET’S GO!

Episode 58 is a special one, I am pleased to present one of Philadelphia's most soulful DJs, and my friend, Khaleel "The Funkboy" Mason!
Khaleel and I met in 2017, but not in Philadelphia. We met through a mutual friend on a gig in Ibiza, Spain. We did six dates there, and had a magnificent time. On the bus ride back to the airport, we agreed that we were going to work together, and bring house and techno back to Philadelphia. Please check Khaleel out Mixcloud, and events like The Gathering.

This mix pounds the floor at a relentless 130 bpm, and has enough sub to fuel you through your workouts, and your day. I have had a really fun time playing at this speed, and it actually makes you want those longer, 6 minute tracks when your mixing, allowing you to be expressive. There are 17 tracks played here, with time for you to get lost amongst the notes, but also to keep your heart and feet locked in for the ride! Enjoy!
Sat, 01 Feb 2020 - 1h 11min - 55 - Buddha Beats 55-Decade Mix
Today is December 31st, 2019. The last day of the decade.
This is a special mix, highlighting 10 years of tech-house and techno. Starting with 2009, all the way to 2019. All of these were played on the show at least once, so let's take this last listen and get ready to take on 2020!
As we go out tonight, and celebrate the end of a decade, please keep in mind that we need to party responsibly. We need to help one another, and to not cause drama and problems for ourselves and those around us.
Take care, and if I don't see you, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This is The Engineer signing off saying: PEACE!!

Episode 54 is a special episode. It's a live mix (complete with interaction with the crowd) from Fold Theory's "Shameless" party held at The Barbary, here in Philadelphia. DJ Devestator and myself opened for Kalin, and Andrew Fetch (who headlined the night). Thanks to Andrew for capturing the whole night, allowing me to share our opening set with you all. I'm releasing posting this on Thanksgiving as a way to say "thank you" to all of the people who consistently tune in — even when I'm not consistent with the content. Thanks to my brother Mike who puts up with my constant noise making and any given hour of the day when I'm home. Thanks to Fold Theory for allowing me to come and be apart of their crew, Devestator Kalin,, Fellzie, Shannon, Teagan, Lauren, Alex, Johnathan, Eric, Katherine, for reminding me that I'm rockin' it, even when I feel I could have done better. This is me giving thanks to everyone who makes this world a better place to be. Enjoy the mix, and don't eat too much turkey!

Hello everyone! The Engineer here! I hope this past month has been a good one for you! For me here, as I'm sure it is for you, it's filled with it's ups and downs. Today I want to bring to your attention that Episode 49, is the first episode of our FIFTH YEAR. Five years. This is something that I am very happy about. There are more people listening around the world, and I can see it from the stats that a good chunk of you are listening to the whole mix too! That warms my heart. It takes a considerable amount of time to craft a mix. Song selection, programming are only two facets of it. Taking you on a journey is a big part of it, and telling a story is a milestone to reach for in every mix I do (this means spending more time doing song curation, selection and programming by the way). Now, there are times when I am "winging it", but most times, I've spent time getting the pieces of what becomes the final mix. Now add on doing this for FIVE YEARS STRAIGHT. Yeah. Oh, and do your best to NOT repeat a song you played last month. Is your head swimming yet?
It's a LOT. But, it's worth it when you have people from South Africa, Japan, Ibiza, Germany, Israel, and many other places around the world who tell you how that mix got them through their day. Write me, and let me know how my mixes have affected you, and your days.

Recently, I have had the pleasure of seeing Michelle Sparks, and Made In Paris spin live, and if you were there, you witnessed the same thing I did: techno heaven! These two ladies smashed their sets, and showed Philadelphia some love, all thanks to Ashley & Carlos, the dynamic duo that is Fold Theory. A party throwing crew in Philly that I am happy to say that I am apart of! This set is an all techno set, inspired by these two incredible DJs! This mix includes tracks from Pleasurekraft, Ramon Tapia, Rokazer, Dok & Martin, and myself. I would love to hear what you thought of this mix, so don't be shy! Contact me and let me know!

Mon, 01 Jan 2018 - 1h 12min - 33 - Buddha Beats — Episode 33
In Episode 33, I return to one of my favorite genres: Techno. This blistering mix features some of the amazing tracks I've gathered, from Kolsch's "Gra" and it's Blade-Runner-like tendencies through Samuel L. Session's dance floor monster "Can You Relate" and Marco Piangiamore's "System V" on his own SKYNET imprint laying waste to anything in its path, down to the close of the set with Faberlique's hauntingly exquisite "Sleep Blind" deftly remixed by Makarti. I feel the extra time I spent searching for these tracks was well worth being a week late in getting this episode out, and I hope you agree. I put everything I had into this mix. Yet, no matter how many times I listened back on this mix, I still feel that I surpassed my own expectations and because of that, I'll say "Mission Accomplished." Enjoy!

Thu, 23 Nov 2017 - 1h 13min - 31 - BUDDHA BEATS—Episode 31
Hello all! The Engineer here! This month's episode of BUDDHA BEATS is a very special one, as this entire episode was recorded at Bar Amsterdam in Ibiza, Spain! This was my first time there, and I can easily see what all the fuss is about. If you are someone who enjoys going out to see DJs and/or electronic dance music performed live, then Ibiza is one of a few places I would call "Mecca".
This was recorded at the party I was on the flyer for, called "I Amsterdam IBIZA", which was made possible by Donnerstag Musik, and Playhouse. Big thanks to Carrie Anne, Hesh, Khaleel, Maggie, Andreas, Ollie, and MaryEllen, and the Bar Amsterdam staff, especially the two girls who dance on the bar, and everyone who was dancing themselves sill during this set!
This is definitely one of those sets where I grew as a DJ, as the decks were ones the crew and I had never played on before — the (now discontinued) CDJ 350s. Once Ollie showed me where everything was (and warned us of the possible short in the mixer), I did my best to get the mix as tight as I possibly could. I listened to it once I got back home, and was very pleased with the results, so I'm posting the mix for you all to hear, enjoy, and get your groove on to!
If you like this mix, please share it everywhere you can on your social feeds, it'll be greatly appreciated, and we'd all love to play Bar Amsterdam again next year! I'm sure they are looking at the response of this episode especially! Enough from me, ENJOY!!
Sincerely, Brian K. James // The Engineer

Hello and welcome to Episode 26 of BUDDHA BEATS! I recently ran into people from the scene that I hadn't seen in quite some time: Lorne, Wally, and many others. It was awesome and got me thinking about all the music we heard in the clubs back then, and I thought it'd be fun to revisit some of those classics, plus a remix of a track written by Hall & Oates that is off the chain, to show my eternal love for Philadelphia, my home. I also mixed in one of my own releases, "Stardusted" which is available everywhere online (Beatport, Traxsource, Juno Download, iTunes, Google Play, Pandora, Sirius XM, etc.)as well as www.daibutsumusic.com/store.php
BIG BIG BIG shout out to Natalie and everyone over at The DJ Hookup.com in Chicago, for getting my new Pioneer to me as quickly as they could so I could get this podcast done on time! I'll be sending business your way for sure, and I'll be visiting sometime in the near future! I'm going to see the birthplace of House Music before I leave this planet, that's for damn sure! Geno's here I come, get that Meaty Legend ready!
BUDDHA BEATS: YEAR TWO is going to happen, so stay tuned to all the social feeds, as it WILL be happening soon. It's been a lot of work, but I'm only one man. I've got help this time, and believe me, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO WANT TO MISS THIS ONE.

- 24 - BUDDHA BEATS—Episode 24
Episode 24 completes our second year of the BUDDHA BEATS podcast, and I owe the longevity to all of you, the fans who write in and tell me that you love the show, and how it helps you get through the day. This month's episode is a revisit to my house music roots, with some tech house and techno dashed in to spike the stew a bit. I have also included the the track list below for everyone's trainspotting needs.
For our new visitors to The Temple, this podcast is done out of love of the music, the scene, and to showcase new music from artists I come across as well as my own pieces. I continue to grow with my mixes and my tracks with the hopes of spreading the show to more and more people. Sign up for our monthly newsletter, so you don't miss an episode, or new track release.
I am currently working on getting the BUDDHA BEATS: YEAR TWO party sorted out, and I'm aiming to have it towards the end of March 2017. So, if you join the mailing list, you'll find out exactly when this is going to go off. I have included the link to the mailing list below, so please use it to add yourself to the list. I don't want anyone to miss anything I'm working on!
If you are in Philadelphia, or can get to Philly, I want you to come out, enjoy and introduce yourself, this party will be recorded as an episode of the podcast. Video will be shot for promotional purposes. 2017 is going to be a BIG year for Daibutsu Music, and I want all of my fans to be in the know! So, here's to two amazing years, and lets get the Year 3 journey started!!
Sincerely, The Engineer

Weather your heading to a costume party or a spooky location to meet with beings from other worlds or other realms, take us with you! Mon, 31 Oct 2016 - 1h 05min - 19 - BUDDHA BEATS—Episode 19
This is Episode 19, which was supposed to be released in September. But a LOT had gotten in the way of getting it out on time. My sincere apologies to my fans worldwide.
This mix is dedicated to Fabric Nightclub, in London, England. They are currently closed due to losing their license after two drug-related deaths this past August. It's a venue that is at the top of my nightclub bucket list. I would love to DJ there some day! Head over to fabriclondon.com, savenightlife.com, tweet and Instagram these hashtags: #savefabric #saveourculture #savenightlife
Episode 20 will also be posted this month. Thank you, and lets save our culture!

Sun, 28 Aug 2016 - 1h 03min - 17 - BUDDHA BEATS — Episode 17
Summer is in full swing, and there's nothing better than having some tunes to make the nights even more special, and I hope Episode 17 helps fill that void! This month we have some flipped house classics that I feel have some serious dancefloor draw, some tech house to get the walls sweating, and finishing off with techno to really burn up your remaining energy.
Mon, 11 Jul 2016 - 1h 03min - 16 - BUDDHA BEATS—Episode 16
Episode 16 is a 2 HOUR SET of searing hot Techno, thoroughly mixed together to keep the vibe as dark and as thick as possible. This set has been a long time coming. Usually when I mix the podcast, I usually end up in the Techno genre. But what you don't know, is that I really don't want it to end! I always wanted to just continue to spin and let it flow. So this time, I decided to record a two hour mix and the mixing is going to be blended, long mix style. I had an incredible time creating this mix, and I hope it takes you on those Techno journeys that Dubfire, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Max Graham, and Nicole Moudaber constantly take me on. This is also dedicated to the surviving families of the shooting in Orlando, Florida.

Sat, 16 Apr 2016 - 1h 13min - 13 - BUDDHA BEATS — Episode 13
Hello and welcome to Episode 13 of BUDDHA BEATS! This month, we have Part 1 of 2 from the BUDDHA BEATS: YEAR ONE PARTY that took place on March 12th, 2016.
Getting out there for the fans was worth all the work that was put into the party, which almost DIDN'T HAPPEN. Yes, the party ALMOST didn't happen. Without going into all the details here, it was looking grim. But, because of one person, raising holy hell, we were able to have the party, and show them what Daibutsu Music was all about.
They texted us, and asked us to contact them if we wanted to do another event there afterwards!
Maybe, we'll put the story on the blog? Maybe. We'll see.
Enjoy Part 1 of what we hope will become our annual birthday party for BUDDHA BEATS, and if you have venue ideas, or have a venue and would love to have us, please contact us on our website at:

Sincerely,The Engineer // Daibutsu Musicwww.daibutsumusic.com // @daibutsumusic

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 - 1h 01min - 8 - BUDDHA BEATS—Episode 08
Episode 08 is finally here! After six 1-hour attempts to create a really sweet mix for the show, it just didn't happen. It wasn't flowing like it usually does, and I was probably burnt up by attempt #4. But, taking an extra week to really get soaked into the music was worth the effort, and I hope you all really like this month's mix.

Sat, 11 Jul 2015 - 1h 01min - 4 - BUDDHA BEATS—Episode 04
In Episode 4 of Buddha Beats, we explore the darker areas of The Temple. The thickness, the tracks you'd love to hear when it's dark enough to not see damn near anything in front of you. Strobes flashing to an almost seisure-inducing level. When your environment is flashing before your eyes in what seems to be a furiously paced series of still photos, that you're calling "a killer night out". It's hot, heavy, and causes the primal to take over. A word of advice? Let it. Time to stomp the floor into oblivion.
