Hey guys! This week we watched the 1994 movie Schindler's List. This movie is really a must watch so please enjoy the Podcast

Movie Summary - Businessman Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) arrives in Krakow in 1939, ready to make his fortune from World War II, which has just started. After joining the Nazi party primarily for political expediency, he staffs his factory with Jewish workers for similarly pragmatic reasons. When the SS begins exterminating Jews in the Krakow ghetto, Schindler arranges to have his workers protected to keep his factory in operation, but soon realizes that in so doing, he is also saving innocent lives.

And we are back with another Robin Williams movie with Good Will Hunting. This 1997 movie is a great movie for a boys night in so hope you enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - Will Hunting (Matt Damon) has a genius-level IQ but chooses to work as a janitor at MIT. When he solves a difficult graduate-level math problem, his talents are discovered by Professor Gerald Lambeau (Stellan Skarsgard), who decides to help the misguided youth reach his potential. When Will is arrested for attacking a police officer, Professor Lambeau makes a deal to get leniency for him if he will get treatment from therapist Sean Maguire (Robin Williams).

To start off our redemption month we watched the 1991 movie The Fisher King and got into our feels with this one. So enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - After shock jock Jack Lucas (Jeff Bridges) inadvertently provokes a caller into murdering a group of innocent people in a Manhattan bar, he grows depressed and turns to booze. As he's about to hit rock bottom, Lucas meets a homeless man named Parry (Robin Williams), whose wife was killed by the caller Lucas pushed to the brink. Mentally scarred by his loss, Parry spends his days searching for the Holy Grail. Lucas, feeling culpable for the poor man's plight, pledges to help him in his quest.

Welcome 2023! To start the year off we are doing Redemption as our month theme! We can't wait for this year and we can't wait for the movies we picked.

This week we went back to the 90s and watched Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas! This 1997 Disney movie brings us back to our childhood and we can't wait for you to listen in! Enjoy the episode!

Movie Summary - In this Disney animated sequel, the lovely Belle (Paige O'Hara) and her monstrous beau, Beast (Robby Benson), are in the midst of the holiday season. While Belle has no problem getting into the Christmas spirit, Beast isn't so easily swayed into a celebratory mood. Meanwhile, the castle's pipe organ, Forte (Tim Curry), becomes opposed to Belle's presence, as well as to her holiday decorating, and schemes to put an end to both her relationship with Beast and any Christmas festivities to boot.

Welcome back to our Christmas themed month! This week we watched Trading Places 1983! We are big fans of the 80s...So enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - Upper-crust executive Louis Winthorpe III (Dan Aykroyd) and down-and-out hustler Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) are the subjects of a bet by successful brokers Mortimer (Don Ameche) and Randolph Duke (Ralph Bellamy). An employee of the Dukes, Winthorpe is framed by the brothers for a crime he didn't commit, with the siblings then installing the street-smart Valentine in his position. When Winthorpe and Valentine uncover the scheme, they set out to turn the tables on the Dukes.

And the time travel month is over with Austin Powers closing the show! 

Movie Summary - In his second screen adventure, British super spy Austin Powers must return to 1969, as arch-nemesis Dr. Evil has ventured back to that year and successfully stolen Austin's "mojo" and set up a powerful laser and aimed it at Earth. With the help of gorgeous agent Felicity Shagwell, the newly single Austin must now not only contend with Dr. Evil, but also Evil's vicious, pint-size attack-clone, Mini-Me.

'Tis the SEASON!!! Christmas is our favorite time of year so we are really excited for this years line up of Christmas movies!

First is Trading Places (1983), Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (1997), and The Tangerine Bear (2000)

Movie Summary - Traveling back in time isn't simple, as James Cole (Bruce Willis) learns the hard way. Imprisoned in the 2030s, James is recruited for a mission that will send him back to the 1990s. But, aside from the manic Jeffrey (Brad Pitt), he gets little in the way of cooperation, not least from medical gatekeepers like Dr. Kathryn Railly (Madeleine Stowe).

However, they are about to fail their history class, which means Ted would be sent to military school. They receive help from Rufus (George Carlin), a traveler from a future where their band is the foundation for a perfect society. With the use of Rufus' time machine, Bill and Ted travel to various points in history, returning with important figures to help them complete their final history presentation.

This week for our Halloween roundup we watched the 1963 movie Directed by Robert Wise, The Haunting. This thriller gets us questioning what is real and what is not. We also def won't be buying any old mansions in the near future! Enjoy this week's episode!

Movie Summary - Dr. John Markway, an anthropologist with an interest in psychic phenomena, takes two specially selected women to Hill House, a reportedly haunted mansion. Eleanor (Julie Harris), a lonely, eccentric woman with a supernatural event in her past, and the bold Theodora (Claire Bloom), who has ESP, join John and the mansion's heir, cynical Luke (Russ Tamblyn). They are immediately overwhelmed by strange sounds and events, and Eleanor comes to believe the house is alive and speaking directly to her.

What a glorious morning! It makes us sick! This week is obviously Hocus Pocus themed and we can't be happier! The 1993 movie Directed by Kenny Ortega is a Disney staple and with the sequel that just came out we thought it fitting to have a marathon of both movies! So enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary Hocus Pocus - After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.

Movie Summary Hocus Pocus 2 - Three young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson Sisters to modern day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world.

Hello hello! This week we watched two spooky movies to start off our Halloween month and we can't wait for you to listen! First we watched the 1932 movie Directed by Tod Browning Freaks. This movie really showed us what it means to mess with "Freaks." The second was a Walt Disney Classic Trick or Treat from 1952 Directed by Jack Hannah. We defianity were spooked by this one! So enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie summary Freaks - When trapeze artist Cleopatra (Olga Baclanova) learns that circus midget Hans (Harry Earles) has an inheritance, she marries the lovesick, diminutive performer, all the while planning to steal his fortune and run off with her lover, strong man Hercules (Henry Victor). When Hans' friends and fellow performers discover what is going on, they band together and carry out a brutal revenge that leaves Hercules and Cleopatra knowing what it truly means to be a "freak."

Movie summary Trick or Treat - The cartoon, which takes place on Halloween night, follows a series of pranks between Donald Duck and his nephews with Witch Hazel.

It is October and that means pumkins everything and spooky movies on weeknights with a little bit of corn maze on the weekends! Join us this month as we watch Freaks 1932, Hocus Pocus 1993, and The Haunting 1963!

The last movie of the month is moving us into a spooky vibe with Heathers! This 1989 movies directed by Michael Lehmann is school and spooky all wrapped into one perfect bow. So enjoy this weeks episode.

Movie Summary - Veronica (Winona Ryder) is part of the most popular clique at her high school, but she disapproves of the other girls' cruel behavior. When Veronica and her new boyfriend, J.D. (Christian Slater), confront clique leader Heather Chandler (Kim Walker) and accidentally poison her, they make it appear a suicide. We are loving the 80s with this classic movie The Breakfast Club! This 1985 John Hughes movie is probably the most well known teen coming of age movie and we understand why. So enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - Five high school students from different walks of life endure a Saturday detention under a power-hungry principal (Paul Gleason). The disparate group includes rebel John (Judd Nelson), princess Claire (Molly Ringwald), outcast Allison (Ally Sheedy), brainy Brian (Anthony Michael Hall) and Andrew (Emilio Estevez), the jock. Each has a chance to tell his or her story, making the others see them a little differently -- and when the day ends, they question whether school will ever be the same.

Welcome back to the first episode of season 3! We watched the 1999 movie 10 Thing I Hate About You and had a lot to say! So enjoy this weeks episode!

This 1952 movie directed by Mervyn LeRoy shows us an adaptation of the life of Annette Kellerman and Australian swimmer who broke gender norms and became a 20th century sensation. Enjoy this weeks episode!

A thriller about a woman that turns into a cat?? Count us in! This 1954 movie Directed by Jacques Tourneur is a fun take on what happens when superstition becomes reality. Enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - Irena Dubrovna (Simone Simon), a New York City--based fashion designer who hails from Serbia, begins a romance with marine engineer Oliver Reed (Kent Smith). After the couple gets married, Oliver becomes concerned about Irena's notion that she is cursed and may transform into a large cat in the heat of passion. Confiding in his beautiful assistant, Alice Moore (Jane Randolph), about his marital issues, Oliver unwittingly triggers Irena's curse, with tragic results.

Let's get musical with this horror musical! This week the girls watched the 1975 movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show directed by Jim Sharman.

Movie Summary - In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. Hello! So June is here and that means summer has started! And what is better than a cool pool on a hot summer day!? So for the month of June our theme will be POOLS.

Our movie picks are The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Cat People (1982), and The Million Dollar Mermaid (1952).

90's Sci-Fi at its finest with this 1997 movie directed by Luc Besson. The Fifth Element brings Sci-Fi, romance, and adventure all into one comedy movie that is a cult favorite. So enjoy this weeks episode and give us a like!

Childhood favorites are always the best when you're old and grey! This week we watched the 1995 movie A Little Princess. This movie was directed by Alfonso Cuaron and is another adaptation of the classic book by the same name. e hope you enjoy this weeks episode as much as we did!

This week we hit the 90s hard with a star studded cast in The First Wives Club. This 1996 movie directed by Hugh Wilson is a perfect woman coming into their own feel good movie. We absolutely loved it and are excited to talk about it. Enjoy this weeks episode!

The last movie for our bad movie month! We watched Caveman a 1981 movie that has Ringo Starr grunting the whole movie!

movie summary - Atouk (Ringo Starr) is the leader of a small band of misfit cavemen who are part of a larger community headed by strongman Tonda (John Matuszak). Atouk is madly in love with Tonda's woman, Lana (Barbara Bach). He even ignores the advances of the lovely Tala (Shelley Long) and sets his mind to finding some way of wooing Lana. During Atouk's quest for romance, he and his cohorts fend off dinosaurs, indulge in hallucinogens and invent cooking, music and medicine.

Bad space movies with vampires and cops your jam?! Then the 1959 movie Plan 9 from Outer Space is def the movie for you!

Movie Summary - Residents of California's San Fernando Valley are under attack by flying saucers from outer space. The aliens, led by Eros (Dudley Manlove) and his assistant, Tanna (Joanna Lee), intend to conquer the planet by resurrecting corpses in a Hollywood cemetery. The living dead -- a cape-wearing ghoul (Bela Lugosi), a vampire (Vampira) and a slow-footed cop (Tor Johnson) who was killed for his nosiness -- stalk curious humans who wander into the cemetery looking for evidence of the UFOs.

It's bad movie month for the podcast and we are kicking it off with Hobgoblins. This 1988 movie directed by Rick Sloane is the definition of a bad 80's movie. So enjoy the episode!

When her family is murdered by crooked DEA agent Stansfield (Gary Oldman), Mathilda joins forces with a reluctant Léon to learn his deadly trade and avenge her family's deaths.

Love Monty Python??? Well this is definitely the movie to watch then! We went on a trip with this movie and we can't wait for you to listen in on this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - Young history buff Kevin (Craig Warnock) can scarcely believe it when six dwarfs emerge from his closet one night. Former employees of the Supreme Being (Ralph Richardson), they've purloined a map charting all of the holes in the fabric of time and are using it to steal treasures from different historical eras. Taking Kevin with them, they variously drop in on Napoleon (Ian Holm), Robin Hood (John Cleese) and King Agamemnon (Sean Connery) before the Supreme Being catches up with them.

March is finally here! So you know what that means!!! New month theme and for March we are mixing it up and having a "GUYS CHOICE" movie month. This month we are having our significant others choose the movies and we will be completely blind to what its about until we actually watch! So that means no spoilers or trailers!

When Dove tries to take Hallie away with him, he is confronted by the brothel's possessive madam, Jo Courtney (Barbara Stanwyck), who is unwilling to give up her favorite employee without a fight.

Movie Summary - Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, discovers his old flame Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid). Laszlo is a famed rebel, and with Germans on his tail, Ilsa knows Rick can help them get out of the country.

Love is in the air with our first episode of February! The Quiet Man is a 1952 John Ford movie about love and the ways we fight for it. So follow us and enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - After accidentally killing an opponent in the ring, boxer Sean Thornton (John Wayne) leaves America and returns to his native Ireland, hoping buy his family's homestead and live in peace. In doing so, he runs afoul of Will Danaher (Victor McLaglen), who long coveted the property. Spitefully, Will objects when his fiery sister, Mary Kate (Maureen O'Hara), begins a romance with Sean, and refuses to hand over her dowry. Mary Kate refuses to consummate the marriage until Sean retrieves the money.

Have you ever been cheated on? Well the 1939 movie The Women is a perfect example of women getting together and overcoming things together. This FEMALE ONLY cast did amazing and we are in love! So enjoy this weeks episode!

Movie Summary - Mary Haines (Norma Shearer) can't believe her husband's having an affair with salesgirl Crystal (Joan Crawford). But when Sylvia (Rosalind Russell) and Edith (Phyllis Povah) deliver the gossip firsthand, Mary heads to Reno for a divorce. En route she meets Countess de Lave (Mary Boland) and Miriam (Paulette Goddard), who coincidentally is having an affair with Sylvia's husband. Once in Reno, the Countess finds another beau, Sylvia shows up for a divorce and Mary plots to win back her man.

Movie Summary - After a long voyage from Scotland, pianist Ada McGrath (Holly Hunter) and her young daughter, Flora (Anna Paquin), are left with all their belongings, including a piano, on a New Zealand beach. Ada, who has been mute since childhood, has been sold into marriage to a local man named Alisdair Stewart (Sam Neill). Making little attempt to warm up to Alisdair, Ada soon becomes intrigued by his Maori-friendly acquaintance, George Baines (Harvey Keitel), leading to tense, life-altering conflicts.

Girls night! To start off this month we watched Dance, Girl, Dance directed by Dorothy Arzner. If you love dramatic women and catfights this is the movie for you! Enjoy the episode!

Movie Summary - Good friends Judy and Bubbles are both dancers. Whilst Bubbles uses her good looks and sassy personality to get jobs, Judy is a dedicated ballerina and finds it more difficult to succeed in her chosen profession.

January 2022 is here and that means a new year and a new theme for movie club! This month we are doing Girls Night and that means movies directed by women!

White Christmas! We unfortunately did not have one but we did get to watch the 1954 film White Christmas and we loved it! Hope you love the podcast as much as we loved the movie.

Movie Summary - Philip (Steve Martin) manages a suicide-prevention hotline called Lifesavers, assisted by Mrs. Munchnik (Madeline Kahn) and Catherine (Rita Wilson). On Christmas Eve, Philip learns that their landlord (Garry Shandling) is evicting them from their office. Amid all this unrest, Catherine proclaims her love for Philip. And when a transvestite (Liev Schreiber) and a pregnant woman (Juliette Lewis) enter into the equation, things get even more interesting.

90's comedy is the best comedy! Encino Man, Directed by Les Mayfield, is the perfect 90's stoner comedy with a great cast of misfits. Enjoy the podcast!

Movie Summary - California teen Dave Morgan (Sean Astin) is digging a pit for a pool in his backyard when he happens upon a caveman frozen in a block of ice. Aided by his goofy friend Stoney (Pauly Shore), Dave transports their discovery to his garage, where the Neanderthal thaws and is revived. When Dave and Stoney find the living and thoroughly bewildered caveman, they attempt to pass him off as a foreign exchange student named Link (Brendan Fraser), resulting in many misadventures.

This week we watched Gods and Monsters, directed by Bill Condon. This movie was about the real life director James Whale who was an openly gay man in the 1950s and his interactions with his gardener Clayton right before he passed away. This is a great movie if you love bio-pics! 

Movie Summary - Once a powerful Hollywood director best known for "Frankenstein" and "The Bride of Frankenstein," James Whale (Ian McKellen) is long since retired and in increasingly poor health. His stalwart housekeeper, Hanna (Lynn Redgrave), quietly disapproves of Whale's faceless, nameless parade of young gay lovers, but when the director takes an interest in new gardener Clayton Boone, a former Marine and Korean War veteran, it seems to be for something more than his usual casual conquest.

This weeks movie is Twenty Bucks, directed by Keva Rosenfeld. This is one of Brendan Frasers earlier works and it shows the story of a twenty dollar bills journey around the city. Hello everyone! On this episode we talked about which movie we thought we liked best from last month; as well as, announcing our theme of the month! If you haven't guessed yet it's BRENDAN FRASER! We all love him so much and now that he is getting the love and support he deserves we want to dedicate a month to this lovely man and his amazing acting! Enjoy!

Brendan James Fraser is a Canadian-American actor. He played Rick O'Connell in The Mummy trilogy, and had leading roles in numerous comedy and fantasy films, including Encino Man, George of the Jungle, Bedazzled, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Halloween is over but we have one last episode to squeeze in for our Halloween themed month! The 1986 movie Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Frank Oz. If you love musicals and man eating plants this is the movie for you! Hope you enjoyed your Halloween season!

Movie Summary - Meek flower shop assistant Seymour (Rick Moranis) pines for co-worker Audrey (Ellen Greene). During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey's boyfriend, Orin (Steve Martin), to the plant after Orin's accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.

Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose "help" quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

Hello! On this weeks episode we watched one of Julie Andrews movies Victor Victoria. This 1982 movie directed by Blake Edwards (who was the husband of Julie Andrews) was definitely a fan favorite and ground breaking for its time! Hope you enjoy this weeks episode and the last one of season 1!

Hey guys! We just wanted to say thank you for being patient with us while we took a much needed break! With Alesya moving into her new place, Shantelle starting up a new job position, Lina and Keshia juggling day to day activities as working moms we just needed a small time out. Nothing is better than a romance destined to fail. We went back in history and watched a movie about the iconic duo Bonnie and Clyde. This 1967 version of the movie was definitely a unique take and Director Arthur Penn did a great job. So enjoy our conversation with this weeks podcast!

Have you ever hated a movie but your friend absolutely loves it? Well this week on the podcast we ran into this problem while watching the 1997 movie The Game, directed by David Fincher. Well this was definitely the movie that divided us this week. We could not agree if this movie was amazing or absolute trash! Welcome back to another Classic Sundays Podcast! This week the girls went back to the 70s and watched a classic! Smokey and The Bandit, directed by Hal Needham. Welcome back to Classic Sundays! This week we watched 12 Angry Men, directed by Sidney Lumet. This 1957 classic dives into the minds of 12 jurors and their journey to a verdict that could save or condemn a young boys life. We definitely love courtroom dramas and documentories, so this was right up or alley! Hope you enjoyed the movie and this weeks podcast!

HELLO HELLO! For this Sundays podcast the girls watched Clockwork Orange and had a few things to say about it. Directed by Stanley Kubrick this 1972 film definitely took the girls on a trip while watching it. Hope you enjoy our conversation!

Hello! The girls watched Summer Magic this week and if you are a classic Disney fan than you already know what the movie is about! Summer Magic is a 1963 Hayley Mills movie directed by James Neilson. This is you typical classic Disney family movie that we all enjoy to watch with popcorn and loved ones. Hopefully you will enjoy the podcast as much as we enjoyed the movie!

Summer Magic Summary - When widowed Margaret Carey (Dorothy McGuire) gets into money trouble, her teenage daughter, Nancy (Hayley Mills), devises a plan to cut costs. Hello Hello! For this weeks episode the girls watched Breakfast at Tiffany's directed by Blake Edwards staring our favorite Audrey Hepburn! 

Breakfast at Tiffany's Summary - Based on Truman Capote's novel, this is the story of a young woman in New York City who meets a young man when he moves into her apartment building. He is with an older woman who is very wealthy, but he wants to be a writer. She is working as an expensive escort and searching for a rich, older man to marry.

This week the girls watched Citizen Kane directed by Orson Welles. Even though it was just Lina and Alesya on this episode they girls still had plenty to say!

Citizen Kane Movie Summary - When a reporter is assigned to decipher newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane's (Orson Welles) dying words, his investigation gradually reveals the fascinating portrait of a complex man who rose from obscurity to staggering heights. Though Kane's friend and colleague Jedediah Leland (Joseph Cotten), and his mistress, Susan Alexander (Dorothy Comingore), shed fragments of light on Kane's life, the reporter fears he may never penetrate the mystery of the elusive man's final word, "Rosebud."

This week the girls watched Grave of the Fireflies directed by Isao Takahata.

Grave of the Fireflies Summary - A devastating meditation on the human cost of war, this animated tale follows Seita (Tsutomu Tatsumi), a teenager charged with the care of his younger sister, Setsuko (Ayano Shiraishi), after an American firebombing during World War II separates the two children from their parents. Their tale of survival is as heartbreaking as it is true to life. The siblings rely completely on each other and struggle against all odds to stay together and stay alive.

Hey Guys! This week we watched My Fair Lady directed by George Cukor! A classic rags to riches romance staring our favorite Audrey Hepburn. 

My Fair Lady summary - In this beloved musical, pompous phonetics professor Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison) is so sure of his abilities that he takes it upon himself to transform a Cockney working-class girl into someone who can pass for a cultured member of high society. His subject turns out to be the lovely Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn), who agrees to speech lessons to improve her job prospects. Higgins and Eliza clash, then form an unlikely bond -- one that is threatened by an aristocratic suitor (Jeremy Brett).

Hello hello! The girls this week watched The Last Picture Show. Its a 1971 coming of age movie directed by Peter Bogdanovich. 

The Last Picture Show Summary - High school seniors and best friends, Sonny (Timothy Bottoms) and Duane (Jeff Bridges), live in a dying Texas town. The handsome Duane is dating local beauty, Jacy (Cybill Shepherd), while Sonny is having an affair with the coach's wife, Ruth (Cloris Leachman). As graduation nears, both boys contemplate their futures. While Duane eyes the army and Sonny takes over a local business, each boy struggles to figure out if he can escape this dead-end town and build a better life somewhere else.

Hello! This week the girls watched the Disney classic The Ugly Dachshund directed by Norman Tokar. A family friendly movie about a great dane that thinks it's a dachshund and how he gets in trouble.

The Ugly Dachshund Summary - Suburban couple Mark (Dean Jones) and Fran (Suzanne Pleshette) take their beloved dachshund, Danke, to the vet's office to deliver her first brood of puppies. Before they leave, Dr. Pruitt (Charlie Ruggles) persuades softhearted Mark to adopt Brutus, a tiny puppy that has been abandoned by its mother. As the puppy grows into a full-size Great Dane that raises a ruckus around the house, Fran tries to convince Mark to find him a new home -- until a brave act helps change her mind.
