Corby is back from his tour of the US, and the lads have a lot to catch up on! Teddy tries to make sense of the recent ball-tampering allegations involving India A, before discussing the rapid rise of Nathan McSweeney in the race for a Baggy Green. Is he the right man for the job?  The lads then head overseas to try and make sense of what on earth happened in India, as New Zealand made history in Mumbai.

The Kiwis handed India a historic Test series defeat. Pakistan thrashed England. Those results might have Australian fans excited, but the Aussie top order is in desperate need of some time in the middle ahead of a massive summer. Who is winning the race for that final Aussie Test spot?  Ed and Spriggy break down all the results, before looking at our own backyard.

Teddy and Corbin were both at the MCG for the AFL Grand Final over the weekend. What can cricket learn from the big dance in Melbourne? Australia beat England by 49 runs in a rain-affected game overnight, to clinch the ODI series 3-2. The guys break down the series win before turning their attention to other international fixtures.

Spring has sprung, we’re almost there cricket nerds! The summer of cricket is approaching. Teddy and Corbin break down the underwhelming international BBL draft, and we help name the Domestic One Day Cup. Before breaking down the big news in the world of cricket this week, 35-year-old Jay Shah is about to run the ICC. What does that mean for international cricket?

Spring has almost sprung, which means cricket season is nearly upon us! About bloody time.  Teddy and Corbin have a lot of ground to cover, starting with a proposed ICC fund to reinforce Test cricket outside the Big Three. In a very special episode of the pod, Ed is joined by his BFF who also happens to be the Australian men’s chair of selectors, George Bailey.  The duo dissects the art and science of cricket selection and look at how George has continuously managed to pick and curate the best cricket team in the world.

We’ve lost Corbin to the Paris Olympics for a few weeks, but we don’t take breaks here at the Grandstand Cricket pod! So, for the next few episodes, it’ll be Ed Cowan in the broadcaster’s chair.  We’ll have a different guest every week for Teddy to talk cricket with, starting with one of India’s finest cricket commentators and minds, Prakash Wakankar.

Teddy and Corbin react to the news that AFL players’ chief Paul Marsh is reportedly working alongside a FIFA expert to create an alternative cricket calendar. What could this look like? We love a chaotic World Cup, and things are getting very spicy across the Pacific.  The U.S. may have pulled off one of the biggest upsets in tournament history after they downed Pakistan, while England are (probably) packing their bags early! “The best white ball bowler of all time.” Mitch Starc and his Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL as Travis Head falls for a golden duck. Starc bowled arguably the delivery of the tournament and was awarded man of the match honours. Teddy and Corbin break down the final and learnings from the IPL, before we turn our attention to the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Australia’s dominance over the Kiwis has continued with another Test victory inside four days. Teddy and Corbin break down all the action from Wellington. The lads also find time to catch up on some Shield cricket, including the terrible news out of the Victorian camp as fresh doubts are raised over Will Pucovski's immediate playing future after suffering another knock to the head.

Turns out Teddy is a Swifty! Ed joins us in his Taylor Swift merch after being front row of the Eras Tour in Sydney. After a brief play-by-play of the concert from Ed, the lads break down Australia’s strong T20 showing against New Zealand, before looking ahead to the Tests. Why only two Tests? Who knows, but we don’t like it. We also chat domestic cricket, and our favourite Bazball.

Good news cricket nerds, our season has been extended! The pod will continue for another four weeks so we can cover the Aussie tour of New Zealand. The Aussies are back baby! Two wins in a row at the ODI World Cup has Teddy and Corbin up and about this week on the pod. The lads break down Australia’s much needed wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan as we fight to stay alive in India.

Australia has lost both of its opening Men's ODI World Cup matches and Corbin and Ed ponder whether the selectors need to make some tougher calls.  Why is the fielding so poor? And how have they failed to prepare the side to peak for the tournament? Meanwhile, Afghanistan may have upset defending champs England, but will Australia stand by its morals and boycott playing against them again?

The Men's ODI World Cup in India is off and running, proving some of Corbin and Ed's predictions a little shaky. Ravindra Jadeja tears the heart out of the Australians again, as the side loses its opening match to India in front of a lacklustre crowd. Back home, Jake Fraser-McGurk has started the men's domestic summer in some red-hot form, while the West Indies struggled against the Australian women's team without Hayley Matthews.

Summer is upon us, with cricket back in full swing domestically and internationally. As the Australian women's side face the West Indies and their in-form captain Hayley Matthews, the Australian men's side are gearing up for the rigours of a very long Cricket World Cup in India. The fifth Test is over, Australia has retained the Ashes, and we are exhausted. Teddy and Corbin don’t take rest days though, and they are here to put a bow on what has been one of the great Test series of the modern era.
