The book "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D. motivated me to make this video and explain the difference between having a fixed mindset vs. growth mindset, so you can improve yourself and improve your life. In my life, I always come across people with fixed mindsets who think that they cannot become better versions of themselves, and that who they are is who they will always be. It pains me to see that because I believe in the power of the growth mindset. I know that you can mold yourself into the person you want to become. It does not take money to make money was music to my ears when I first heard it, and if it weren't true, there would be no way I'd be the entrepreneur today because I had absolutely no working capital when I started. My girlfriend and I could barely pay our rent and keep our fridge stocked with food. My first step was real estate wholesaling. I learned that technique because I was looking for exact ways that does not take money to make money. From there I moved on to other things. In the beginning when you start your business the first thing people ask is "what is your business plan?" I'm here to tell everyone why I say no to business plans. The truth is that it's hard to know anything about how your business will truly operate without actually operating the business first. Most people, at the beginning, end up spending too much time planning their business, instead of starting their business, and most of those business plans get changed frequently in the beginning anyways as that's the period where people are still figuring out how their business operates. That's why I say no to business plans. This is a very big debate between a lot of business owners, so I would love to hear your side as to what you believe and why. Money management does not have to be complicated. With these simple ideas, you will also be able to manage your money like the rich. I learned this method from the book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T Harv Eker. After reading his book, I started to realize that as I read other books by wealthy people there was a big correlation with what millionaires do with their money, and how easy it would be for you to manage your money like the rich. For more in-depth information, I highly recommend the book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind". There is a link below if you would like to read the book. It is an insanely life-changing read. I get a lot of questions asking me to define what the difference is between being an employee, being self-employed, being a business owner and being an investor. The best definition I can share with you is from Robert Kiyosaki's cashflow quadrant. Robert Kiyosaki explains that there are four types of people in the cashflow quadrant and all of them have a pro and a con. None of them are bad and really depends on where you want to be in your life. I've been 3 out of 4. We are given a lot of different advice when it comes to what we need to do to become a successful person, but I can tell you that building successful habits is the core of it all. Jeff Olson in his book "The Slight Edge" says that everything we do is pennies - meaningless in the moment, but over time those pennies add up and shape who we are. These pennies represent our choices which build our successful habits or bad habits, and ultimately shape who we are.
