Midwest Marriage

In episode 12 we talk about the aftermath of the wedding day and our pre-honeymoon honeymoon. We also discuss what it is actually like moving into the new house we have owned and worked on for 6 months but never spent a night in and all the quirks we find out about each other.

After a week break we are back for episode 11 of Season 3. In this weeks episode we are finally getting to the Midwest Marriage! We finally make some decisions on when and where we actually get married. Will it be Las Vegas? Will it be some grand ballroom? You will just have to listen to find out. In addition, our weekly adventure takes us back to a fun trip we had for a friends wedding in Colorado.

In this episode we unveil which house we actually decided to buy and give everyone a deep dive into what its like for a couple of newbie homeowners! We loved our new home but it needed some paint, Angie's touch and a little TLC.

In Episode 9 of Season 3 we start thinking about a big next step now that Angie is FINALLY wrapping up her education! One would think we would start talking marriage but of course we need to be a little untraditional. In this episode we talk about a trip to one of our favorite destinations! On this trip we stayed at a questionable hotel, hit the sights from dusk til dawn and John tried a new restaurant and instantly regretted it. On top of all that our weekly adventure is all about another one of our favorite traditions.

Episode 6 of Season 3 finds Angie and John taking a boat trip that was very memorable for the wrong reasons, a ski trip that included some fun and not so fun things and one of us starts teaching! We also have a marriage tip about the little things.

In the second episode of season 3 we talk about a few ideas John had for a proposal, thoughts on asking Angie's father for her hand in marriage and what it was like for John to live in a seasonal cottage in the winter. We also have a fun little weekly adventure about another addition to our family around this same time.

In the first episode of Season 3 we talk about Angie's job as a secret agent, which one of us is the funny one and the process of John taking a big step towards the future and buying a ring! We also have a quick little marriage tip to help plan ahead when making purchases as a married couple.

In the final episode of season 2 John decides to move out of his parents house so he can be closer to Angie and this leads to a project that almost ruins us. We also learn about how plumbing works and how quickly a little project can turn into a big project. Finally, this weeks adventure scars John and has Angie questioning his navigational abilities.

In episode 13 John grows up and gets a real job as Angie continues to further her eduction but still needs adult supervision to travel in her mid-20's. John is finally included in a trip and finds a new favorite treat. Also, our weekly adventure is a Thanksgiving tradition from Angie that has changed from hunting and gathering to restaurants and shopping!

In this weeks episode we talk about some fond memories of an ER visit for one of us, John's mother and her calm demeanor and John being left home yet again! On top of all that we have a little update in our weekly adventure segment.

In this episode we talk about what John did to make his grandmother mad, a sweet job John had and a trip Angie took that included John talking to a couple of drunks! We also have a fun weekly adventure that shows what positive role models we can be.

In Episode 10 John and Angie discuss John moving back in with his parents and eating dinner at 4:30 while watching Lawrence Welk. We also talk Angie tutoring John in calculus while he fought back tears. This week’s adventure welcomes a new member to the family!

In episode 9 we talk about another point in our relationship that may put our future together in jeopardy when one of them moves to a different town. Will John or Angie move father away from each other or closer together? We also talk about a family favorite weekly adventure that we enjoy in Madison that we really did not discover until neither of us were living there.

Episode 8 of season 2 bring us to another new home in Madison for John. He and his roommate Zeus attempt to be a little more grown up in this new place. Angie also talks about Zeus being a little to comfortable with visitors and we learn what it might be like to be a neighbor to these two questionable adults.

In episode 7 we talk about what a disaster 6 guys living together looks like, a favorite restaurant Angie made John go to, and a romantic Valentines Day that we still talk about today. Also, our weekly adventure is a Madison staple for college kids.

In this episode we discuss another year in Madison for John and the last semester at SNC for Angie. John also buys a cow and we start up a New Years tradition. We also hear more about John's roommate Zeus and his questionable accommodations in Madison. On top of that the Weekly Adventure is a HUGE milestone for the state of Wisconsin!

This episode finally brings Angie and John closer together during the last summer John comes home from college. We also get to hear how John was basically kidnapped that summer while looking for a summer job and what he ended up doing while Angie was diligently studying. This week we also have a new marriage tip for you.

In the 4th episode of season 2 we discuss a new year in college, John and Angie's new living arrangements and John's 21st birthday. We also talk about our fake IDs and a fun weekly adventure featuring our favorite prank target, Nate!

Episode 3 brings us to the summer after our freshman year of college and a little more drama that comes from us being back in the same town. Of course John makes more bad decisions but we also talk about a fun weekly adventure.

In episode 2 of season 2 we talk more about the first year of college and introduce some new people to the listeners that spark some very entertaining college stories. We also discuss our thoughts on matriarchal vs patriarchal marriages in our first marriage tip!

In the first episode of Season 2 we talk about the aftermath of the relationship falling apart in the summer after our senior year in high school. We also get the first glimpse of what our first year of college looks like and the ups and down. Last but not least we talk about one of the best bands of all time.

In this last episode of Season 1 we discuss the summer after our senior year of high school. The cracks in our high school romance start to show and we talk through the downward spiral and the end result.

In this episode we talk about our college decisions and if we end up at the same college. We also discuss our wonderful graduation experience and John's little scare. Our weekly adventure segment is another of our favorites that we have enjoyed a lot this summer.

Episode 7 takes us back to the summer/fall of 1993 and the infamous shed parties. This particular shed party resulted in a call to ask a nurse! We also talk about Angie and John's first ball and a fun weekly adventure.
