Nephrologist, Dr. Kym Kim and Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Keith Wolstenholme from the Society for Hospital Expansion in Central Alberta (SHECA) join the show to shed some light on the troubles facing the Red Deer Regional Hospital, what SHECA is doing to advocate for the future, and what the recent $1.8 billion government announcement means for the hospital. Our special February food-themed episode features Chef Phil Mayo, a professional Chef who recently moved to Red Deer from England (21:48 - 59:28), and he might just be Red Deer's most interesting man. With a pair of big family-friendly Winter events coming up in February, we chatted about Winterfest x the Big Jig in Sylvan Lake, and The ACFA Red Deer Winter Carnival (1:06:34 - 1:13:56), so mark them in your calendars! Then, with a brand new partnership agreement and a brand new segment, we got a quick update on Red Deer Real Estate with the first Andrew Russell Market Update (1:03:41 - 1:06:08), and then he stuck around to talk about other stuff with us too. Every 'um'. Every stutter. Every mistake. Every argument between Ted and Lund... it's all here in the special One Year Anniversary edition of the first ever episode of Oh, Deer! Exactly one year ago, Ted, Dustin and Lund spent a beautiful December Sunday afternoon out on Lund's deck, and even though they had no idea what they were doing, took a shot in the dark and recorded a podcast. Fast forward 365 days later, and they still don't know what they're doing, but they hide it better. After an extra week off, Oh, Deer is back again with a jam-packed episode - the very first from inside the Bo's Bar and Stage studio! Episode Eight features Rieley Kay, the owner of one of Central Alberta's most unique and popular restaurants, Cilantro and Chive - and he's got stories. From trips out to a few rural farms to seek out windows and doors, to the one-star Yelp review from Ted (a different Ted), Rieley has seen it all. Also, Walsh talks about some stuff to help save money on taxes, Dustin and Lund go down to the wire to see who has to get their chest waxed, and there's a couple other exciting announcements peppered in there too. After that, the gang discusses internet trends and Red Deer landmarks, they learn a bit more about Lund, play a rousing game of 'Netflix or Nonsense', and bravely tell the story of the  traumatic Sesame Street trampling at the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open (it's exactly what it sounds like).

New year, same Oh, Deer... Calgarian Stand-Up Comic Todd Ness drops in for an interview, while the Oh Deer gang discusses New Year's resolutions, traveling politicians, dangerous playground equipment, and much more of the same mediocre, tolerable content you've come to expect.

Against all odds, the Oh, Deer gang made it to Episode Two - and they've picked up an extra host along the way. Kevin Walsh joins the podcast (hopefully for good) to discuss Christmas time, favourite Christmas movies, the fact that Santa is a jerk, and a bunch of other stuff in what's sure to be, at the very worst, the second best episode so far.

Nobody asked for it - but here it is. Episode One of Oh, Deer... introduces Ted Emmett, Ryan Lund and Dustin Moore. Nothing is off the table - except for something intelligent to say.
