Self-care - the ability to name how you feel, and to address it including by identifying your personal emotional and psychological needs, is a key to a sane split. The supply of gas in the tank of your car is not infinite. Neither are your own energies, no matter how invincible you may feel or want to project to the world. Self-care is essential - it’s not selfish, self-centered, it’s none of those things.
