This week we explore the parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37, diving deep into what it truly means to be generous. As we continue our series on generosity, we're challenged to not only love God with all our hearts but to extend that love to our neighbors—especially when it's risky, inconvenient, and requires our time and attention.

Through the story of the Good Samaritan, we learn that generosity is not just about money; it’s about intervening in the lives of those in need. It's about taking risks, giving our time, and stepping out of our comfort zones to care for others, no matter their background or circumstances.

Biblical peace is more than the absence of conflict or chaos; it is shalom. Jesus calls us to be people willing to step into conflict, into tension, and bring peace where there is none. We look to Jesus to see how this is modeled in his life and ministry.

Mercy means to have pity or compassion on someone, and to forgive. As we dive into this Beatitude, we'll walk through the parable of the Unmerciful Servant to see the mercy of Jesus that is generous, forgiving, and sacrficial, as we consider how God is calling us to act mercifully in our relationships.

When we hear the word 'meek,' we often think of weakness, submissiveness, and even passivity. But this is not the picture of meekness Jesus intends to make. Meekness refers to humility, or specifically strength under control. This is the meekness Jesus exemplifies in his life and ministry, and it's this same meekness that he desires for his people.

Why do we call Good Friday "good"? On this day, we pause to remember the love of Christ poured out on the cross for us. Good Friday invites us to recognize the grief of death and the weight of sin and to behold our Savior.

On this Palm Sunday, we remember the good news found in the death of Jesus Christ. As we dive into this story, we see the many ways God reveals his self-giving love through His Son. May our faith be inspired today as we consider all that Christ endured.

God sends some someones.

In Moses' story, he asks God to send someone to help him in his weakness. Someone to speak wisdom and blessing, someone to share the load, someone that is with, someone that strengthens faith, and someone to speak truth. From Moses' story, we see God's desire to send someone to help us in our loneliness, weakness, and for all of life.
