She is a Princess and the great -granddaughter of Odysseus, so why is she here with her Dad doing menial labor when her older brothers don’t have to participate? Although Princess Adara is bored and frustrated now, her day is about to drastically change. What happens when her world turns upside down in an instant, will she have the clearness of mind her father has praised her for and is she ready to use that skill when it is no longer for practice.

With the quest officially begun, Adara finds herself frustrated that her first steps are being thwarted by rules she can’t understand and creatures she has never before encountered. Should she fight back or give in to her exhaustion and retreat. Or, maybe there is a new way to look at this situation she finds herself in. Maybe her adversary, who Adara now shares an understanding with, isn’t so bad after all.

As they learn about each other and continue their search, Dane and Adara come across an unexpected circumstance that changes the course of their quest. Dane thinks Adara is distracted and being foolish, but Adara is mesmerized by this strange new encounter and wants a little more time to explore this handsome stranger who is a skilled swordsman and a smooth talker. Will this delay cause Dane to lose the scent and Adara to lose sight of her purpose?

After Adara’s lesson is learned from naively trusting Paios, she and Dane resume their quest with new vigor, but now they meet another traveler that insists Adara and Dane follow her lead. Who is this woman with the strange accent and weird looking dragon friend and how come she knows so much about all of this? Should they join forces with her and take the risks she purposes or remain on the path they were following? Maybe there really is strength in numbers.

Lyn-Shin explains what the warriors need to do in order to seek counsel from Mother Earth. Confusion and fear set in but maybe not for everyone. Could Paios really have this all figured out and can the warriors trust him with their fate or is this another one of his games? Well, time is ticking away so something has to be done quickly. Will it work?

King Orestus’ resistance is futile although he mustn’t give up especially when he can plainly see a ray of hope. And speaking of hope, just as Paios is getting started to redeem himself in Adara’s eyes, she does a disappearing act. Now that Adara knows the truth can she show up at the right time?

As Mara prepares for his afternoon tea, he has other ideas in mind. Will his guest enjoy his hospitality or will his daughters’ impatience win over the King of the Gods? Flattery can truly get you when you’re not careful.

When the warriors learn their part in Lin-Shin’s plan, they realize the only chance they have to defeat Mara is to work in unison. Will Lyn-Shin’s challenge to Mara be accepted and will Adara and Paios be an effective team, even though there is tension between them? And what about Orestus? Will Adara find her way back to his cell without a distraction?

Adara realizes why it is important to have the right tool for the job and Paios and Lyn-Shin learn this lesson too, but is it too late. With their window of opportunity closing, Dane comes to the rescue and reminds Adara the wise words of Mother Earth, but what about Orestus doesn’t he need her help too.

With everything amiss, our warriors are losing hope. Adara knows what she has to do, but hasn’t a clue how to do it. Is Paios’ leap of faith in vain if he is but a puny human and no match for Mara? Bernarth is frightened but doesn’t like bullies, especially this one, and feels the need to do something. And where is Lin-Shin in all this? Certainly, their combine strengths are needed, but will that be enough or will the Gods have a hand in this also?

Fiona’s creative and personal life is moving in the right direction when it is interrupted suddenly and unexpectedly. How can she possibly explain to her family what happened when she herself is trying to piece it together? Paula helps her as much as she can, and even suggests Fiona skip this celebration, so she has more time to heal. But Fiona, who has been groomed to say everything is fine, insists she can she pull it off. But can she when saying it to the people who taught her to be proper?

George visits his father’s old card game; Joanne realizes he isn’t his usual self and tries to help. Meanwhile, Fiona can’t just behave and do as is expected, like her brother, Tom’s fiancé, Trisha. Tom is just like his parents, following in their footsteps, planning his future, but Fi isn’t like the rest of them, she can’t pretend, or can she?

George needs to get his sister’s car and straighten things out with Fiona, but Joanne thinks it’s not a good idea and he should give it some time. For Fiona and her family, time is not helping them keep up appearances. As cocktails flow freely, the veneer is wearing thin for all, and ugliness is beginning to surface, especially when George breaks up their little party. Will Fiona share her secrets or suffer in silence?

Tricia’s comment triggers George to recall a time when he and Fiona were happy and so much in love. Things with Fiona’s family were never as they seemed and everyone knew it, but played their part to perfection, in public. But when Tom, speaks the unspeakable and sparks fly enough to ignite smoldering embers, can Ophelia stop the inferno or will Phil fan the flames that start to burn this house of cards, known as the Miller family?

A glance forward shows that Fiona is seemingly back on the right track and again showing promise, according to NY Times Art critic, Henry. But, how did she get there from here? More importantly, what did she learn along the way? Phil’s visit certainly may have been responsible for the genesis of her transformation, but perhaps not in the way he thought. Will Fiona allow him to apologize or will she rip the carpet out from under his feet and she removes the rose-colored glasses from his eyes?

Phil wasn’t always the father Fiona wanted but he is the father she got. Still, she is no longer willing to hide under the bed or keep quiet when her future is at stake, even if it means inciting him. George tries to soothe Fiona in every way he can but, the hurt is too deep and he realizes she needs more than he can give. How will therapy help her when she doesn’t know where to start?

Fiona has experienced so much joy from painting, but can’t seem to get herself back on that canvas as a result of what happened and fears she may never be able to. Nina, her therapist, simply wants her to learn how to breath and not worry about the next step. Once Fiona learns to be more in the present she wonders about her future with George and her family. She knows she no longer feels the same, but what does that really mean?

Returning to the moment things changed is necessary to move forward, according to Nina, and Fi thinks she is ready. George is there to support her, but neither is ready for this rush of memories that come flooding back and the train wreck that ensues, as a result. Will this start Fiona on a hopeless downward spiral, or can she use this work with Nina and her group counselor as a springboard?

Time passes and Fiona is back in an artistic groove, according to Paula, who has her own concerns and fears that she shares with Fiona. Fiona explains to Paula that she has a different perspective now due to all the treatment she gone through and is trying to throw away her inhibitions as she explores life and art through new eyes. Will this riskier approach allow her to become the artist she has always wanted to be or is it too abstract?

It has been several years since Fiona’s incident, and as Henry’s interview resumes, he lets her know that she is a rare artist with a gift of not just talent, but willingness to put herself into her work. She and her work are intoxicating to Henry, but as he tells her of his admiration, she is reminded of an intimacy she had to put on a shelf to get where she now is, and learns that sometimes the subconscious works in strange ways. What is next for Fiona is unclear, but maybe she must revisit some feelings that seem to pop up.
