"Positive" Tommy Lugauer gives his reaction to the Mets beating the Braves in game one of their season ending doubleheader and sending them to the postseason.

Show Open: In fitting fashion for a 2024 Mets season that's been anything but ordinary, the Mets face an extraordinary set of circumstances heading into their double header in Atlanta, with far more than a playoff spot on the line. In a sloppy loss at MetLife stadium a comedy of errors (which was funny to no one) cost the Jets on both sides of the ball. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix and Sean Payton made the proper adjustments and unlocked the Jets defense in the second half, while veteran Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh continued to flounder and look lost in all facets of the game.

Show Open: The Mets had another golden opportunity go to waste and he has no confidence they will get the job done. These continued failures in big spots fall on Pete Alonso and Brandon Nimmo.

Nestor Cortes told the media "we're still in first place" after his awful start, that tells you all you need to know about the Yankees mindset. The Yankees went 2-6 last week against the Cardinals and Nationals, they are 30-37 over their last 67 games. Jasson Dominguez can't fix all that.
