In this podcast, presented by two NYU medical students, Michael Mazzeo and Amanda DiMartini, and one physician and medical Spanish intstructor, Dr. Nuria Mendoza, medical students with intermediate to advanced Spanish proficiency are invited to listen and improve their abilities to communicate with patients. Episodes include the basics of a medical interview, simulated conversations between providers and patients, and interviews with Spanish-speaking physicians. Listeners will take away useful words, phrases, and principles for interacting with patients in an effective and empathetic way.
