Welcome to Episode 27; featuring STEVE RAYNOR. HouseA native of Middlesbrough (UK) Steve Rayner has now been based in Ireland for the past 15 years and is the host of Hooked Radio Show Weds drivetime 6pm bi-weekly. His passion for music started in the 90’s which took him on journey from playing in Indie Bands through to club promotion. Music led the way in his education too studying music for 5 years through a 2 year performance course to a 3 year degree in Music Industry Management. This inevitably led to starting a career in the music industry.  Steve worked for Defected Records during the early days in Soho before moving on to A & R roles at BackYard and Black Gold Records. During this period in London DJ’ing was a huge part of life holding several London residencies in Covent Garden, Soho and Chelsea as well as playing many European gigs and tour managing Defected artists. These days the focus is on his business career but still spends all his spare time producing House and Tech House tracks in his studio as well as presenting Hooked Radio which showcases upfront Tech House and House tracks on a weekly basis. Music led the way in his education too studying music for 5 years through a 2 year performance course to a 3 year degree in Music Industry Management. This inevitably led to starting a career in the music industry.  Steve worked for Defected Records during the early days in Soho before moving on to A & R roles at BackYard and Black Gold Records. During this period in London DJ’ing was a huge part of life holding several London residencies in Covent Garden, Soho and Chelsea as well as playing many European gigs and tour managing Defected artists. These days the focus is on his business career but still spends all his spare time producing House and Tech House tracks in his studio as well as presenting Hooked Radio which showcases upfront Tech House and House tracks on a weekly basis. Minimal House Tasty House mix from Friday 'Housify' resident Kev Murtagh aka Axial... Hailing from Dublin Ireland, 22 year old DJ / Producer Kevin Murtagh has been making the most of his short time within the scene, showcasing his talent to promote the unique underground flavour of Deep Minimal House, which is a very niche sound on Irish shores. Recently rebranding his work under his new alias 'AXIAL', he has worked tirelessly to catapult himself deep into the industry, by providing countless guest mixes to various nationwide collectives, taking up music production and playing gigs in the likes of 39/40 & The Turks Head in Dublin. By enrolling in the BIFE Music Production course in South Dublin, taught by Doug Cooney and Sunil Sharpe, along with his first track release entitled 'MIRROR' with Feedback Recordings in Edinburgh, AXIAL hopes to take his production to the next level going into the future, progressing upon his already released cuts.
