Has anybody else been seeing a lot of marriages and babies on their timeline? In today’s episode our guest host Sabrina is sharing her journey when it comes to Black Love and the importance of self love first. Join us as we unpack some of the heaviness that comes with Black Love, Femininity for Black women, and the beauty of Black Love.
This week’s Affirmation is “I will attract the partner I deserve”
Key Takeaways:
1. In Order To Pour Love Into Others We Need To Pour Love Into Ourselves:Our relationships will flourish out of “nowhere” when we start to work on our love for ourselves. We cannot pour from an empty cup. .
2. You Don’t Have To Be Stuck In Your Masculinity:I know a lot of times Black women feel backed into a corner and forced into their masculinity despite not wanting to be there, but you don’t have to be stuck anywhere you don’t want to be. Start doing things that you love that allow you to tap into your femininity or try something new.
3. Black Love is Beautiful:We get a lot of messages that Black Love is hard and it’s implied that it may not be worth the struggle, but Black Love doesn’t have to be a struggle if we heal ourselves first. Black Love is beautiful because it heals a small piece of our community when two healed and happy Black people find love in one another.
Sabrina is new to the podcasting world and has a show called“The Hood Soft Life Podcast”. In her podcast she talks about the challenges of growing up in the hood and leaving those challenges behind for a soft life. Through personal stories Sabrina shares the struggles and the lessons she’s learning to achieve a soft life.

In this episode, guest host Yasmyne explores the importance of curating authentic relationships with women and understanding that not every woman will become your sister at first meet. Embracing the notion that cultivating relationships organically and gradually, rather than instantaneously, is key to building a long-lasting sisterhood. Yasmyne shares her personal journey of forming meaningful relationships in her early twenties post-undergrad, and how she finally reached a place where her friendships are reciprocal and genuine. Join Yasmyne as she discusses the challenges and triumphs of finding a loving community, and see that this kind of connection is possible for you too.
This week’s Affirmation: “I cultivate meaningful relationships that build community.”
Key Takeaways:

It's about meeting people where they are and vice versa, without the burden of unrealistic expectations. Not Every Woman You Meet Will Become Your Sister: Accepting that not everyone is meant to be in your orbit and that relationships come with trial and error.Long-Lasting Relationships Are Created Organically: Recognizing that lasting relationships require mutual effort, consistency, and the willingness to evolve and give grace to one another as life changes.

❄️ 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
✨ 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
❄️ 1 cup buttermilk, room temp
✨ 1 tsp vanilla

Questions to Ask Yourself about your friend circle:
- Who is your best friend? Why is this person your best friend? Has a friend ever done something to make you question them or their character? Did you confront them about it or turn a blind eye? Do you find yourself judging your friends secretly, if so why? Do you think they are judging you? And if so, why? Do you think this is a good trait to have or something that you need to work on? Have you ever lied to a friend, if so why? Was it for their benefit or detriment? Did you tell them eventually about it if you did? Or if you didn’t, why didn’t you tell them? Do you have more guy friends or girl friends?

Sleepovers.. Overnight Guests.. Being Uncomfortable in YOUR OWN Home 😩
I have recently had a lot of overnight guests staying in my home, and honestly, I am BURNT OUT! I just wanted to sit down and chat with you guys just in case you are feeling the same way.
I am learning to take my Personal Spaces seriously especially since I am getting older! One thing I realized is that adults.. like my mom and dad don't have sleepovers with their friends. If they do, they are going on a vacation or something! Not, staying at each other's home! And, that is mind-blowing to me.. I am getting out of that age where I FEEL its acceptable to have friends sleeping over simply because I like to be comfortable in my own home.. It's the one place I should ALWAYS be able to retreat to for solitude and comfort. ✨
This episode's Affirmation is: "My space is my sanctuary and I will always treat it as such."

Lord, help me to know when it's time to make moves, when it's time to stay planted, and when it is time to uproot.
Help me to recognize the doors you’ve opened for me, and to walk through them with Your confidence.
Dear God, please remove any and everything in my life that wasn't sent by you. Please give me the discernment to understand the difference between your blessings and things that were sent to be lessons. Heal my heart from any past hurts, trauma, and pain. Please open my heart to be able to accept all of the things that you are removing out of my life. I trust in you and I know that you will never leave me nor forsake me. In your name I pray. Amen
Lord, I pray for clarity and peace of mind oh God. Father God please fill me with your wisdom and spirit. Father God I pray that you keep my mind, that you fortify it, that you renew it along with my spirit.
Dear God, I am hurting. I know you are my provider and will bring me through. Lord please fill me with strength oh lord, and restore me, and establish me oh God, so that I feel rooted and strong.

Boundaries in dating are a person’s limits in a relationship. They allow each person to maintain their needs, space, individuality and health. Boundaries can be hard to create but ESSENTIAL in relationship, whether platonic or romantic. Today, our host, Tyra, shares some insight on how she realized she needed healthier boundaries in her romantic life and gives us some tools we can start implementing today that will help us build those fortified boundaries.

This week’s Affirmation is “ How people treat me is their karma; how I react is mine”
The Biggest Takeaways from Today’s Episode on finding healthy boundaries in Dating:
DECIDE HOW YOU FEEL: Decide and figure out what you will tolerate and not tolerate in your life. Anything that makes you question it or feel uneasy is a sign that this might be something you are uncomfortable with, and is outside of your boundaries. Decide what behaviors you will accept and not accept. NON-NEGOTIABLES:Decide what the consequence is when someone breaks one of your rules. It is likely to happen, so decide what your response to the problem will be. And if you have non-negotiables, address what those are clearly so your partner understands if certain lines are crossed, you will leave. COMMUNICATE/LISTEN:Communicate your boundaries clearly. Even if you’re afraid they might not agree, at the end of the day, your comfortability is the most important. And listen when your partner tells you what does or doesn’t work for them. FOLLOW THROUGH: If someone crosses your boundary then do what you said you were going to do! And express how you feel. You can be compassionate, yet firm.Recommended resources

We can’t be afraid to talk about the things that are difficult. Healing takes time, and it requires us to be vulnerable. Sometimes that means diving into experiences that are not easy to relive or to talk about with others. We can keep our inner child safe, by standing up for her in this moment, and talking about what she went through.
Today’s episode is the first in a new series on Childhood Trauma. Tyra discusses what childhood trauma is, her own experience with it, and how we can learn to heal. This series will be difficult at times, but it is so important and so worth talking about.

Let me come right out and say it, most of my life I have HATED change. Yes, hate is a strong word, but I resisted change and uncomfortable situations so much that it felt like the “right” thing to do… I slowly began to realize, accepting change and finding comfort in uncomfortable situations was the key to growth.
In today’s episode, Tyra is taking a deep dive into discomfort and Comfort Zones. Because as Billy Alsbrooks said, Your comfort zone is where dreams go to die. Life begins on the other end of your comfort zone, and if you truly want to live life.. We have to lay our comfort zone to rest.
Yea sure, life happens, things happen, and we have to learn how to roll with the punches. Even though that's a bit cliche. It's 1000% true. This week’s Affirmation is “ I am at peace even when life gets crazy."
Tyra takes some time to explain ways you can learn to master discomfort and truly start living without being a slave to the unknown world of being uncomfortable. Take a listen!
The Biggest Takeaways from Today’s Episode on Mastering Discomfort:
START! .. whatever it is. Don’t quit even when it gets tough. Continue to push past your comfort zone. Embrace the “suckiness” Surround yourself with like minded people Celebrate your small successes and progress!Recommended resources

Breakups happen. And, they are important! They teach us about ourselves. They show us what we want and what we don’t want. They allow us to move away from what is NOT for us, and closer to what IS. They even show us the parts of ourselves we need to break up with.
Today, Tyra plays the game “We’re Not Really Strangers, Break Up Edition” So, grab a journal and pen and write down these refectory questions and answer them along with her!
Here are today’s questions:
- What has helped you heal from a heartbreak in the past? Besides time and meeting someone new? What advice would you give a friend or loved one going through a similar situation as you? What validation are you seeking from a partner? How can you give it to yourself? Do you have a limiting belief about love? Where do you think it stems from? How can you challenge this belief? What did your last relationship make you appreciate about yourself?
This week’s Affirmation is “I am worthy of love from myself and others.”
