Summer is in full swing and we are all feeling the CRUNCH for time, family, work and more. Jake and Alden have settled into their new positions with VERY DIFFERENT outcomes... Charles and Troy and swinging for the fences still in there full time and so... how has the first half of the year gone and WHAT IS IN STORE for the GROUP OF FOUR?  Today we cover the first half, second half plans and all the changes we are dealing with as 2024 goes all "second half".  We also talk about OVC24 where three of us will be there and we hope to do some live recording for the podcasts.  Also repping the podcast at the One Voice Awards Show is Charles with 2 nominations and Troy with 6!  We hpe to see you there in DALLAS August 8-11!

Think about it. How you "approach" most anything can heavily make a difference in the outcome. A positive approach can lead to a more positive outcome. Dread the task, the task sucks. Marketing, auditioning, networking... all affected by attitude. It's not easy, but controlling your mood and approach will definitely help you sudition BETTER and marlet BETTER. Tune up that attitude for better results!  We talk about our struggles with this same thing in our everyday business.

Jake is on vacation this week so Alden and I tackle the "F" word.  We both started on Fiverr (although a year apart) and Alden had good results for quite awhile then "the faucet" turned off. I progressed nicely through their "levels" and made TRS also, but I have never "flourished" there.  We look at the numbers games, the reasons for and against, and hopefully give you a lot of information to make YOUR decision about the platform we all love to hate.  wE TALK ABOUT OUR PAST STRATEGY, AND OUR CURRENT STRATEGY, AND WHY IT IS NOT EASY TO GET A NEW vo GIG GOING VERSUS BACK IN 2020.  

The algorithim, the thumbnails and gigs, the impressions, the clicks.... WHEN DOES IT EVER END!!!??? it doesn't... IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GAME AND PLAY IT WELL!  Truth is, it's out of your hands...

Today we are excited to talk to Chris Woodworth who has made a splash on social media with his animation videos using both his voice talent and his professionsl animation/production abilities.  Chris is "mega talented" in both fields and also carries a good singing voice as well!  His posts are extremely entertaining and he is building a large following and includes other animation actors in his "duets" on social media.  Learn more about his journey and quick rise in a fun interview...

We in the VO world (especially the first few years) seem to dive deep into learning, working, podcasts, etc and we get lost in the endeavors. However we have to learn to "get out of the booth" and reconnect with life so we don't experience fatigue, burnout, exhaustion and even disconnections from the rest fo our lives. Creatives love being in the creative world and pulling back isnt always easy.

Today the guys discuss how they back away (well 2 of them anyway have this down and one is working on it) sharing their "get away" go-to's and how they try and clear their minds and reconnect with others and balance the time at work.
