BASS HEAVY on jasoncharles.net Podcast Network, featuring the finest international pro DJ talent from New York City and around the world, is an exclusive series for bass heads, rhythm junkies and those who like to groove...Each episode features a hand-selected, hand crafted DJ mix showcasing not only the power of the bass and the groove, but the art of the DJ.

Surprise guest selectors are free to choose bass-centric tracks in a specific genre, a tribute to a legendary bass player, or just a playlist of fat-bottomed favorites.

    For Episode 9, BASS HEAVY welcomes NYC-based radio pro and dope selector KELLY WEBB aka DJ BABY K, co-host of the long-running weekly deep grooves showcase “THE SWEET SPOT,” on WBAI 99.5 FM in New York City and streaming live and archived on WBAI.ORG, Tuesdays from 10pm to Midnight.

    Kelly's BASS HEAVY set includes a dope sixty-minute selection of disco, boogie and funk classics, featuring tracks from The Brothers Johnson, Ray Parker Jr., The Jacksons, Change, Roy Ayers, Instant Funk and much much more

    Baby K aka Kelly Webbhas been involved in music, art and culture since her humble beginnings in Ohio.  Through her love and passion for music, she became the First Lady of respected DJ and Music Production School Dubspot where for many years she helped to organize and facilitate music education for thousands of students worldwide and was honored to work and learn from some of the best in the business. Currently she is working for the Lower East Side Girls Club, perhaps the best job in the world where she is Director of the Sound Studio Program, a free program for young girls 8-18 where DJing, Music Production and Radio Journalism (WGRL) is taught to the next generation in an empowering environment. She wishes to live each day like a joyous episode of Soul Train, one of her greatest influences growing up.
